ABSTRACT In the past, vocabulary teaching and learning were often given little priority in second language programs but recently there has been a renewed interest in the nature of vocabulary and its role in learning and teaching. Although most teachers might be aware of the importance of technology, say, computer, rarely teachers use it for teaching vocabulary. Thus, the current study aims at exploring the effects of CALL on vocabulary learning of Iranian EFL Learners. However, it is difficult for many researchers to build a 3D visual tracking system for multicopters (VTSMs) by using cheap and off-the-shelf cameras. Some of these systems have very short hydraulic retention time (< 1 h) but nevertheless manage to effectively reduce peak concentrations of contaminants as a result of dispersion. We hypothesize that the effect of dispersion on contaminant mitigation in VTSs depends on the shape of the contaminant input signal chemograph, which in turn is related to factors affecting contaminant mobilization in the contributing catchment.

AbstractTargeting the supportive tumor microenvironment (TME) is an approach of high interest in cancer drug development. However, assessing TME-targeted drug candidates presents a unique set of challenges. We develop a comprehensive screening platform that allows monitoring, quantifying, and ranking drug-induced effects in self-organizing, vascularized tumor spheroids (VTSs). The confrontation of four human-derived cell populations makes it possible to recreate and study complex changes in TME composition and cell-cell interaction. The platform is modular and adaptable for tumor entity or gen

Aims: Tuberculosis-related stigma negatively influences tuberculosis prevention programs such as delayed diagnoses, poor treatment adherence, and decreased quality of life of patients. This descriptive quantitative study aimed to describe the stigma towards tuberculosis among parents. Method: A total of 30 samples taken through accidental sampling were parents who had children (0-14 years) with tuberculosis who had been treated at the public health centers. A questionnaire adapted from Van Rie TB Stigma Scale (VTSS) was used and analyzed using descriptive analysis. Result: Most parents (76.6%)

Abstract:
Maritime traffic is a socio-technical system that requires the collaboration of many elements such as stakeholders, equipment, environment, and technology. The workload for stakeholders in marine traffic has increased due to the growing number of monitored ships in coastal areas, as well as the variety and amount of operations. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of workload studies conducted in the maritime domain, encompassing all stakeholders. In doing so, the goal is to reveal changes over the years, identify collaborative areas, and enhance the understanding of the concept

Abstract:
Vascular transformation of lymph node sinuses (VTSs) is defined as phenotypic transformation of the lymph node sinusoidal lining from lymphatic to vascular endothelium. The pathogenesis of VTS remains unclear. Thus far, VTS has not been characterized at the molecular level. Herein, we shed some light on VTS pathogenesis while providing a detailed description of its clinical, histopathologic, immunophenotypic, and molecular features. Our specimens involved 2 women and 3 men, aged 36 to 66 years (mean 49 years old). The lymph nodes were in the right inguinal ( n = 2), left axillary ( n = 1), rig

Vortex tube separator (VTS) arrays are used to filter foreign particles from turboshaft engine intakes. Arrays may consist of hundreds of separators that share a common surrounding plenum, potentially allowing for significant interactions between the devices. However, most VTS studies have been limited to individual separators acting alone. The current study first involves an experimental investigation of the fluid flow emerging from the outlets of a VTS array installed in a wind tunnel. Particle image velocimetry is used to measure the flowfield at planes [Formula: see text], [Formula: see te

ABSTRACTThis article investigates how the male students of the Vancouver Technical School (VTS) learned to become citizens of Canada and the British Empire, focusing particularly on the ways in which the boys re-imagined modern men’s relationships with women and femininity. The 1920s climate of nation-building, women’s increased presence in the paid workforce, and advances in industrial capitalism meant that the cornerstone of the VTS’s male citizenship project was the construction of males as worker-citizens. In particular, the technical school became a place to reassert men’s monopoly on the
