Abstract:
The paper describes how logistic influence process in the firm, also there is a comparation with other firms in automobile section. And second part describes a case study of job scheduling in a mechanical-engineering production, the goal is to minimise the overall processing time. The production jobs are processed by machines. This problem is treated as a hybrid five-stage flow-shop. In other words, the job-processing job consists of maximum five tasks, it depends on product, because there is 12 products, each has own production flow. It is a new type of flow-shop in which the first-stage scheduling depends upon the time scheduling of the second stage, and so on. A mathematical model and a heuristic method is formulated, The problem is the NP hardness. The case study is solved with the heuristic method and the solution achieved represents a 10% reduction of the processing time for the given set of jobs.

Abstract:
The goal of my Master's Thesis is to describe the cash flows and profitability of milk and dairy products. The thesis is trying to define the whole process starting with the milk production till the product is bought by the final customer. The calculation of the net working capital of the farmer's cooperation, dairy works and retail stores is also included in my thesis. In this respect, the thesis deals with the problem of return of payables and receivables and the duration of the cash cycle. The thesis also calculates the product margin and profitability of some of the diary products. It focuses on price setting, if it is done according to the specific costs or if it is set by the market. The results of my thesis are based on eleven agricultural companies, six dairy works and three retail markets. A research is also included trying to answer the question weather the dairy products are essential goods, or if demand for them can be influenced by price. This research is based on answers of 85 respondents. The conclusion of this thesis is a fact that margin is not fairy set and the profit is redistributed on the basis of the market strength rather than by the value added. It also confirms the theory, that the closer the company is to the customer, the higher profit it usually makes.

Abstract:
The dissertation is concerned about, according to author still “live” problem of optimization of logistic flow, with scope to company environment. The aim is to find correct methodology for defined problem and to apply it to particular case study. Theoretical part begins with description and analysis of actual state of problematic of logistic flow optimization and listing the methods which are able to be applied to these problems. The three main groups – exact methods, heuristic methods and combined methods take part in. The analysis continues further with searching the methods, useful for application in production company environment. Vast focus is on layout design task, because once layout is created, except some minor changes, it lasts usually for some years and therefore it is necessary to consider it properly. Moreover, there is also difference between other characteristics of production, as production planning and machines / technologies upgrade and layout; the former are in a certain manner changeable and not stable, but the layout cannot be changed on for ex. weekly basis. Contribution to research is located at the end of theoretical part, which is newly modified methodology to be more suitable for practical application. Practical part begins with the description of particular case study, e.g. actual status of logistic system in enterprise. The processes described include purchasing management, production management and mainly layout design of production space. The application of suitable methods consists of group technology methods – already known method, plus newly modified method and their mutual comparison. In addition is included already known value stream mapping method. The result is recommendation for change in layout design, developed by integration of results, brought by group technology methods and value stream mapping method.

Abstract:
Logistics is a discipline that deals with material flow and related information and financial flow, namely from a raw materials supplier via a producer and other intermediators to an end user. And all this with the goal to maximally satisfy customer needs for reasonable costs within the whole chain. Supply chain management is one of the strategies of the modern management that deals with the optimization of all activities and systems in order to secure the whole corporate chain. The company Masna Příbram uses an integrated information system that provides each segment of the supply chain with information on a daily basis. As the chain is managed by one owner, it is possible to plan and realize the production in accordance with the real demand of the segments along the chain flow. The result is that no goods are stored and if they are then only in minimum quantity.

Abstract:
The study assesses some effects on factors on coffee production and export in Uganda, examines the economic effect of trade liberalization of the coffee subsector in Uganda, and nonetheless establishes the different types of ties used for coffee development in East African region as well. The study employed both Regression and Correlation methods to analyse the data collected from the coffee value chain, Regulators, and the farmer families. Analysis of a time series data on production, export, world prices and domestic consumption data from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) was done using ordinary least squares (OLS). The results illustrated that coffee production and the world price index have a positive relationship with coffee exports in Uganda. Nonetheless, indicated an inverse relationship between domestic coffee consumption and exports. The study further shows that coffee exports, domestic consumption and world price have a positive relationship with production. The research findings show that there are statistically significant relationships between Family Ties and Coffee development in Uganda (r= -0.038, p-value< 0.025 (=0.822)), Farm to Farm ties (Beta=-0.304, t=-2.253p<0.025 (=0.014)), and Friendship Ties and Coffee development (r= -0.222, p-value< 0.025 (=0.048)) respectively. The study recommends that the government of Uganda as a matter of urgency implement the existing coffee policies and if necessary, make some modifications to improve production and promote the product on the international markets for more competitiveness and maximum earnings.

My graduations theses is focused on a problem of production management in selected plant and on exercise of process under control . At the beginning there is an explanation of a competition and its ifluence on business strategy. Next I described logistical processes and a competition among them. For describing the company{\crq}s situation I used economic and productive counts: changes of quantity and price of products in year 2006 compared with year 2005. Next description was company´s organization structure together with a reliability of officers. Then I used SWOT analyse for pointing at weaknesses of company, that the company have to make less important by its strengths and at the same time to be prepared for opportunities and threats sequent upon a competition. My graduation theses contains a description of main companys´ processes since order processing to supplying and raw material suppliers at the end. Real choice and rating of supplier is described in the model situation. Next I was concerned with a production, its organizations, scheduling and production control. Last but not least I was concerned with a stocking and expedition. A distribution is last logistic process in organization. I described Czech and foreign logistic processes too. In fine I assessed economic situations, main company{\crq}s processes and present managerial structures.

Abstract:
Private label products encompass all merchandise sold under a retailer{\crq}s brand. That brand can be the retailer{\crq}s own name or a name created exclusively by that retailer. In some cases, a retailer may belong to a wholesale group that owns the brands that are available to only the members of the group. For the consumer, private label represents the opportunity to purchase quality food and non-food products at savings compared to manufacturer brands. Private label items consist of the same or even better ingredients than the manufacturer brands, and because the retailer{\crq}s name or symbol is on the package, the consumer is assured that the product meets the retailer{\crq}s quality standards. Private labels can be divided in three categories: economic, standard and exclusive. Manufacturers of private labels can be divided also in three categories: Large manufacturers who produce both their own brands and private label products; small and medium size manufacturers that specialise in particular products lines and concentrate on producing private label almost exclusively; and retailers and wholesalers that operate their own manufacturing plants and provide private label products from their own stores. The most developed private label region is in Europe. The countries with the highest private labels shares are Switzerland, Great Britain, Belgium, Germany and Spain. The Czech Republic is one of the fastest growing private label regions in Europe. The private label share has increased by 20 % since 2005.

Abstract:
The main theme of this master's thesis is an effort to explain the integration of transnational corporations from developing countries into the economic globalization. Firstly, we define the main concepts, such as process of globalization and competition. Then, we specify the most important characteristics of transnational corporations from developing countries, we identify major incentives and strategies of their integration into the global competition, we also devote our attention to measurement of degree of their integration into the global economy and evaluate their main competitive advantages and disadvantages. In the analytical part of the work we use quantitative analysis in order to find the differences between transnational corporations from developing countries and their counterparts from developed countries in the transnationality index, diversification of industry and industrial sector in which these companies operate. The last part is focused on a case study of an Indian transnational conglomerate Tata Group. On this example we show the practical aspects of integration of transnational corporations from developing countries into the global economy.
