Purpose:To assess the validity of power output settings of the Wahoo KICKR Power Trainer (KICKR) using a dynamic calibration rig (CALRIG) over a range of power outputs and cadences. Methods:Using the KICKR to set power outputs, powers of 100–999 W were assessed at cadences (controlled by the CALRIG) of 80, 90, 100, 110, and 120 rpm. Results:The KICKR displayed accurate measurements of power of 250–700 W at cadences of 80–120 rpm with a bias of –1.1% (95% limits of agreement [LoA] –3.6% to 1.4%). Samples cut from a disk blank of Russian granulated nickel-based superalloy VZH178P were tested for tensile strength at room temperature and long-term creep at temperature of 750 °C. Transmission electron microscopy showed that, in both cases, stacking faults and microtwins formed during plastic deformation of the alloy. During long-term creep at 750 °C, the alloying elements Cr, Co, Mo, and W segregate on the stacking faults, leading first to the formation of Suzuki atmospheres and then to the nucleation and growth of TCP particles with stoichiometry (Co,Cr)3(Mo,W).

The electrodepostion of bi-valent iron, zinc and tungsten (IV) on tungsten electrodes in equimolar NaCl-KCl melt at 700-750oC was studied by Cyclic Voltammetry and Chronoamperometry. While iron (II) and zinc (II) ions demonstrate regular values of diffusion coefficients, which are all in the range of 10-6-10-5 cm2/sec, tungsten (IV) ions diffuse considerably slower. Plausible process mechanisms were proposed, according to which the tungsten (IV) ions form polynuclear ions and these massive species diffuse at considerably more moderate rates.

Cr3C2-WC-Ni nanocomposite powders with ~50-100 nm were synthesized from precursors by vacuum-aided carbothermal reduction at only 750 °C for 2 h. The phase composition and microstructure of the synthesized products were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. Celem pracy było określenie wpływu dodatku serwatki sojowej na właściwości fermentacyjne mąki pszennej typu 750 i żytniej typu 720. Alumincoating was prepared on a Ni-Cr-W-Al nickel-base superalloy by pack cementation, the effects of Al content and aluminizing temperature on coating formation were investigated. Coating microstructures were investigated using optical and scanning electron microscopes, EDS and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. The results showed that the coatings prepared at 800°C in the powders with 15%, 30% and 99% Al were different. NiAl3 coating was obtained in the conditions of aluminizing temperature of 700°C, 750°C, 850°C and of Al content of 99%.
