Abstract:
In assessing the relationship between theology and politics in the writings of the three major Leveller pamphleteers of the 17th century, scholars have tended to search for, and focus upon, individual aspects of one or other of the Levellers' respective theological positions which they consider to have had democratic implications - as, for example, the notion of congregational church government, or a universalist understanding of salvation - which are then deemed to have been foundational to their political theories. But this approach is too abstract. The development of the Leveller platform can best be understood if it is seen as the attempt to answer a question posed by the Presbyterian opponents of religious liberty, and in particular, by William Prynne. In effect, the question was this: how can a society avoid anarchy and continue to exist in any civilised form if the social cement of established religion is removed? Prynne asked this of the Independents and sectaries in civil war England in the belief that there could be no satisfactory answer. Lilburne, Overton and Walwyn sought to provide one by appealing to principles drawn from the law of nature. The major influence on the development of their political thinking was the revolutionary theory of natural rights which underpinned Parliament's struggle against the King Theology was but a secondary factor. It was the fundamental secularity of the Levellers' approach which led to its rejection in 1649 by leading Independents and sectaries, whose own separatism was modified by millennialism and notions of 'godly rule'. Thus, while the Levellers' political platform developed as an attempt to translate into reality the separation of church and state that was at the heart of separatist ecclesiology, it failed because of the opposition of the very people whose ideas it was intended to reflect and embody.

Abstract:
Tyresö är en växande kommun i behov av fler bostäder. Tyresö är väldigt utspritt med låg bebyggelse. Även nära centrum är bebyggelsen utspridd med stora ”tomma” ytor emellan bostadsområden, kontor och handel. De tomma ytorna består i många fall av barrskog och dessa ”tomma” områden skapar idag distanser mellan bostadsområdena samtidigt som de fungerar som hundrastning och motionsspår. Det finns en utmaning i dessa platser mellan bostadsområdena, att bygga bostäder som förtätar utan att ta bort skogens kvalitéer, känslan av rymd, dess möjligheter och nuvarande användningsområden, bostadsområden som inte hindrar allmänhetens användning av platsen utan minskar avstånden i Tyresö. Ett typ av boende som rättar sig efter naturen, efter årstider. Som tillåter dess brukare att bo i en skog, att bo med en skog. Att låta delar av huset vara stängt på vintern för att sedan öppna upp på sommaren och bli flera gånger så stort, att använda huset efter årstiderna. Ett boende där inne och ute smälter ihop och den enda utsikten är träd.  Mitt förslag på hur detta ska lösas är med ett hus som är uppdelat i två delar En del ”LÅDAN”. Ett prefabricerat betongblock där sovrum, badrum och massor av förvaring finns. LÅDAN är dessutom ett passivhus. Under de kalla månaderna bor man bara i detta hus och stänger av hus nummer två med en skjutdörr. Den andra delen av huset är KOJAN. Ett ”lätt” trähus som används under de varmare månaderna på året och är därför inte lika välisolerat. KOJAN byggs på plats efter marken, där det finns ett berg svänger väggen. KOJAN kan också anpassas vertikalt med flera terrasseringar.
Tyresö is a growing municipality in need of more housing. The buildings in Tyresö are spread out and low. Even near the center, the housing areas are intercepted by large "empty " spaces between residential , office and retail areas. The empty spaces consist in many cases of forest and these "empty" areas creates distances between residential areas while acting as a dog exercise area and jogging track. There is a challenge in these places in between. Building homes that condenses without removing the qualities of the forest, the sense of space, its potential and current uses, residential areas that do not impede the public's use of the site without decreasing the distances in Tyreso. One type of accommodation that conforms to nature, after seasons. That allows its wearers to live in a forest. Allowing parts of the house to be closed in the winter to then open up in the summer and become several times larger. An accommodation in which inside and outside melt together and the only view is trees.   My suggestion on how this can be solved is with a house that is divided into two parts: One part " BOX ". A prefabricated concrete box where bedroom, bathroom and plenty of storage are available. BOX is additionally a passive house. During the cold months one can live only in this house. The other part of the house is HUT. A "light" timber room used in the warmer months of the year and is therefore not as well insulated. HUT is built on site after the ground. HUT can also be adjusted vertically with several terraces.

Abstract:
There is scope for clarifying characteristics that distinguish small towns in the Middle Ages both from larger and lesser settlements and from each other. This will involve investigating their economy, their role in their area and their social structure and government. The topic of urban decline in the period has been the subject of much debate and small towns, of course, are relevant to this, while potentially having features which make their experience distinctive. Chepyng Walden increased dramatically in wealth and population during the later Middle Ages and has an unusually large and rich corpus of contemporary documents in which to seek explanations. It has been called a 'cloth town', yet in this period its relationship to the nearby cloth area which was very prosperous in the early sixteenth century was not overtly a primary generator of its expansion but the role of the saffron industry was publicly acknowledged at the time by clear references. Both the economic structure of at least parts of Walden's region and its opportunities in distant markets had distinctive characteristics in which an increasingly dominant and relatively close London played a significant part. Though lacking the multiple layers of larger towns, the structures of society and government were clearly defined. A distinct elite, already evident by 1440, and in which mercers were particularly prominent, became more oligarchical, over the period concentrating its power in the Holy Trinity Gild, which by the early sixteenth century was the effective government. Nevertheless, the courts of the manor and borough struggled with considerable disorder and disregard for custom, which were doubtless influenced by the increasing population and notable disparities in wealth. There are signs, too, that though the burgesses' rights were limited, the elite themselves felt increasingly able to show disrespect for manorial institutions.

In questa tesi si cercherà di approfondire il pensiero di Kendal L. Walton. In particolare si focalizzerà l'attenzione su l'analisi riguardante i processi immaginativi e i mondi di finzione. Le idee waltoniane verranno accostate e confrontate con il concetto di realtà espresso da Heinz Von Foerster, ciberneta, e di alcuni esponenti della BCL /Biological Computer Laboratory) i cui studi sono accostabili e annoverabili al e tra il movimento di pensiero conosciuto come costruttivismo. Secondo Von Foerster la realtà è un costrutto qualitativo computato dagli stimoli che riceviamo costantemente immersi nel mondo. Secondo Walton i mondi immaginativi sono generati secondo regole di generazione e da supporti, entrambi prodotti culturali. L'ambiente esterno diretto o mediato sembra generare quindi realtà e mondi fantastici. In questa tesi si cercherà di indagare alcuni aspetti delle differenze e similitudini attraverso il filo rosso del linguaggio, cercando di far emergere l'importanza dei mondi di finzione per la nostra vita, dando pari dignità a realtà concreta e fantasia, entrambe necessarie per il nostro buon vivere.

Die Gutbettwalzenmühle wird heute in vielen Industriezweigen zur Mahlung spröder Stoffe eingesetzt. Sie zeichnet sich durch eine energieeffiziente Arbeitsweise aus und stellt eine Alternative zu herkömmlichen Zerkleinerungsmaschinen, wie Kugel- und SAG-Mühlen, dar. In der Vergangenheit kam es durch Schäden an den Walzenoberflächen zu Problemen mit der Betriebssicherheit dieser Maschinen. Hervorgerufen werden die Schäden u.a. durch punktuelle Überlastungen der Walzenoberfläche, die durch im Gutbett eingelagerte grobe Einzelpartikel verursacht werden können. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden Versuche mit einer hydraulischen Stempelpresse zur Ermittlung der Walzenbelastung von Gutbettwalzenmühlen durchgeführt und der Einfluss verschiedener Maschinen-, Verfahrens- und Materialparameter untersucht. Auf der Grundlage des Versuchsprogramms wird eine Modellbetrachtung zur Walzenbelastung durchgeführt, mit deren Hilfe auf das Lastkollektiv aus der Gutbett- und Einzelkornbelastung geschlossen werden kann.

Abstract:
This study is a chronicle of the efforts of R. Walton Moore and the Roosevelt Administration to liberalize the conservative Virginia Democratic Party during the 1930's. Moore was an elderly politician and amateur historian who had been in and out politics in the state for over forty years. He was opposed at every turn in his efforts by state Democratic Party organization leader Senator Harry F. Byrd, and his conservative colleague Senator Carter Glass. Both Glass and Byrd opposed most New Deal legislation throughout the decade. Moore served officially as Assistant Secretary of State and Counselor to the State Department, but his unofficial role was an advocate for Virginia's anti-organization Democrats. These Democrats were generally supportive of the New Deal and its programs, but wielded little political power because of the tight control with which Byrd and Glass distributed patronage. This essay traces Moore's three major efforts to align the Democratic Party in the Old Dominion closer to the Roosevelt Administration.

I detta konstnärliga arbete förklarar jag min instuderingsprocess och går igenom olika tekniska aspekter i ”Five Bagatelles for guitar” av W. Walton. I inledningen försöker jag ge en övergripande bakgrundshistoria till min relation med musik och speciellt gitarr. Jag behandlar också erfarenheter med personer jag har mött som påverkat mig i min musikaliska inriktning. Efter det skriver jag om Sir William Walton och vilken typ av kompositör och människa han var, för att förstå musiken känns det naturligt att veta vem han var. Sedan följer en övergripande formanalys med text och notexempel, där jag med text förklarar de musikaliska motiven samt behandlar diverse tekniska svårigheter jag stött på under instuderingens gång.
In this artistic work I’ll explain my process of rehearsing and going through various technical aspects of the "Five Bagatelles for Guitar" by W. Walton. In the introduction I’ll try to give a comprehensive history of my relationship with music, especially guitar. I will also discuss experiences with people I have met who influenced me in my musical direction. After that I’ll write about Sir William Walton and what kind of composer and man he was, it feels natural to know who he was to understand the way he composed. Then follows an overall shape analysis with text and view sample, where I with the help of text explain the musical motifs and discuss various technical difficulties I encountered during the time of rehearsal.

Das Ziel der Arbeit besteht in der Ermittlung einer optimalen Lösung für den Verarbeitungsvorgang ¨Beschichtung mit dünnen Flüssigkeitsschichten¨. Die Untersuchungen sind dabei auf hochviskose Flüssigkeiten, insbesondere Offsetdruckfarbe, fokussiert. Sinkende Auflagenhöhen in der Druckindustrie erfordern Beschichtungseinrichtungen, die reaktionsschnell sind, schnell einen stationären Betriebszustand erreichen und eine hohe Reproduziergenauigkeit aufweisen. Zunächst findet eine Analyse des Standes der Technik und eine systematische Untersuchung des Verarbeitungsvorgangs statt. Dabei erfolgt eine Unterteilung in fünf Teilaufgaben: Separieren und Beschleunigen, Dosieren, Vergleichmäßigen, Auftragen und Rückführen. Für unbekannte Teillösungen werden Prinzipversuche durchgeführt. Die Synthese möglicher Teillösungen ergibt mehrere Gesamtlösungen. Die beste Gesamtlösung wird in einem Versuchsstand umgesetzt. Dort erfolgen mit einer ausgewählten Offsetfarbe Experimente zum Dosierverhalten und zu auftretenden Belastungen. Die Experimente beinhalten Einflüsse von Parametern, die während des Betriebs variiert werden können. Zur Verifikation der Ergebnisse dienen theoretische Modelle, welche die vorhandene Strömung abbilden und das Dosierverhalten simulieren. Vergleiche zwischen Experimenten und Simulationen ermöglichen Aussagen über eine Vorherbestimmbarkeit des Dosierverhalten für geänderte geometrische und ki-nematische Randbedingungen und stoffliche Eigenschaften.

A presente dissertação procura analisar Moby-Dick, de Herman Melville, e Walden, de Henry David Thoreau, narrativas que, em meados do século XIX, alertavam para a necessidade de preservar a natureza, num tempo em que os Estados Unidos da América começavam a explorar as potencialidades da revolução industrial. Afirmando-se, de certo modo, como profetas dos excessos que o homem viria a cometer na era pós-industrial, prenunciavam já os desastres ecológicos que atualmente conhecemos e que têm sido praticamente ignorados. Assim sendo, há todo o interesse em revisitar estes textos, visto terem teorizado, de uma forma literária, mas simples, muitos dos aspetos presentes no discurso da ecocrítica atual. Além disso, este estudo pretende demonstrar que é urgente o homem compreender que é moralmente inaceitável violar as leis da natureza. Para o seu próprio bem e de todo o universo, é imperioso que a respeite, tal como Melville e Thoreau prudentemente preconizaram.
This dissertation aims at analyzing Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick and Henry David Thoreau’s Walden, mid-nineteenth-century American narratives where both authors called attention to the need to preserve nature, at a time when the United States of America was beginning to explore – and possibly exploit – the potential promised by the industrial revolution. To a certain extent, they stood out as prophets of the excesses that man would commit in the post-industrial era, hence foreshadowing the ecological disasters that we have witnessed of late but, unfortunately, have practically ignored. Thus, there is much to be gained when revisiting these texts, since both voices theorized, in a literary, but simple way, many of the issues present in current environmental discourse. Furthermore, this study aims at demonstrating that it is urgent man finally realizes that it is morally unacceptable to violate the laws of nature. For both his own and the universe’s sake, it is imperative that human beings respect nature, as Melville and Thoreau wisely advocated.

This work aims to investigate the Wallon conception of time and it is inserted in the line of research of the Fundaments of the Educational Process from the UFG Graduate Program in Education. This bibliographic research has as its source the work of Henri Wallon (1879-1962), whose contributions affect not only the psychology field but also the educational field. One of our objectives was to discuss how Wallon’s theory of development conceives the notion of time, since the development is a process that devolves in time and that, however, has duration. Therefore, the thesis aimed, in a specific way, to capture the conception of time in the conception of human development which expresses itself in stages of Wallon’s theory. Based on the description of Wallon about the processes of constitution of the notion of time to children we have attempted to capture the evidences on the notion of time to the author. Finally, supported on the Langevin-Wallon Plan and Wallon’s dialogue with education, we have tried to understand if the notion of time from the development theory was present in the texts of the author about education and if it would have pedagogical implications as consequence. In Wallon’s work, we have concluded that there is a conception of time that expresses the dialectical relation between the biological and the social. Time is, therefore, a category that, as a social production, is as eternal as social relations. Wallon is a critical from the existentialist point who substitutes the historical order for metaphysical postulates. In this perspective, the author conceives the time category as transitory, as an open system in which facts do not react perpetually among each other. To Wallon time is understood as a process subject to changes and to understand this process is part of the development of the child’s thought towards adult’s thought. Not only age influences on the constitution of time category, but also the domains of human activity that are expressed in the culture and also in each individual sensibility that synthesizes the relation between the environment and his/her possibilities. In these terms, the different activities that show up along the child development are a proof that time and evolution do not obey and linear path, once the course and the development of psychological evolution show many contradictions. In Wallon’s perspective, mental activities do not develop in one and same plan as in a growth or a continuous flourish. Therefore the result of an activity can show up again connected to a new way of activity, as in the relation of space-time and in the distinction I-other. The evolution happens in time, but not in standardized time. It is a historical time in which there are no precise guarantees or fixed boundaries, just like there is no present that relates to the pass and that aims what is coming in the future. The study of Wallon’s conception of time suggests way to continue the studies that can contribute to elucidate the concept, to diffuse Wallon’s theory and also, certainly, the criticism of his theory, since the author himself believes the thought develops throughout the constant criticism of oneself.
Inserido na linha de pesquisa Fundamentos dos Processos Educativos, do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da UFG, este trabalho tem como objeto de investigação a concepção walloniana de tempo. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza bibliográfica que tem como fonte a obra de Henri Wallon (1879-1962), cujas contribuições incidem não somente no campo da psicologia, mas também no campo da educação. Objetivou-se discutir como a teoria walloniana do desenvolvimento concebe a noção de tempo, pois o desenvolvimento é um processo que se desenrola no tempo e que, portanto, possui duração. Assim, a tese objetivou, de forma específica, apreender, na concepção de desenvolvimento humano que se expressa nos estágios da teoria de Wallon, a concepção de tempo. Procurou-se também apreender, na descrição de Wallon sobre os processos de constituição da noção de tempo na criança, os indícios acerca da noção de tempo para o autor. E, por fim, com base no Plano Langevin-Wallon e no diálogo de Wallon com a educação, buscou-se compreender se a noção de tempo da teoria do desenvolvimento estaria presente nos textos do autor sobre educação e se teria, como consequência, implicações pedagógicas. Conclui-se que, na obra walloniana, há uma concepção de tempo que expressa a dialética da relação entre o biológico e o social. O tempo é, portanto, uma categoria que, como uma produção social, é tão eterna quanto as relações sociais. Wallon é crítico da posição existencialista, que substitui a ordem histórica por postulados metafísicos. Nessa perspectiva, o autor concebe a categoria tempo como transitória, como um sistema aberto no qual os fatores não reagem perpetuamente entre si. O tempo é entendido por Wallon como um processo sujeito a mudanças, e entender esse processo é parte do desenvolvimento do pensamento infantil em direção ao pensamento do adulto. Não apenas a idade influi sobre a constituição da categoria tempo, mas também os domínios da atividade humana que se expressam na cultura e, ainda, a sensibilidade de cada indivíduo que sintetiza a relação entre o meio e as próprias possibilidades. Nesse sentido, as diferentes atividades que aparecem ao longo do desenvolvimento infantil são uma prova de que tempo e evolução não obedecem a uma trajetória linear, visto que o curso e o desenrolar da evolução psicológica, assim como do tempo, apresentam discrepâncias. Na perspectiva walloniana, as atividades mentais não se desenvolvem num único e mesmo plano como num crescimento ou florescer contínuo. Por isso o resultado de uma atividade pode reaparecer ligado a um novo modo de atividade, como na relação espaço-tempo e na distinção eu-outro. A evolução ocorre no tempo, mas não um tempo estandardizado. Trata-se de um tempo histórico, em que não há garantias precisas ou barreiras fixas, assim como não há um presente que não se relacione com o passado e que não tenha em vista o porvir. O estudo da concepção walloniana de tempo sugere caminhos para continuidade dos estudos que podem contribuir na elucidação do conceito, na divulgação da teoria de Wallon e, certamente, também na crítica à sua teoria, uma vez que o próprio Wallon tem como suposto que o pensamento se desenvolve pela crítica constante sobre si mesmo.

Cette étude vise tout d’abord à définir les différentes identités de la seigneurie wallonne en privilégiant la notion d’échelle géographique au travers d’une utilisation raisonnée de la dimension cartographique. Il s’agit ensuite d’explorer toutes les formes de gestion mises en œuvre par les structures seigneuriales au dernier siècle de l’Ancien Régime à la fois dans les provinces du Nord de la France, mais aussi dans celles du Midi des Pays-Bas autrichiens. A cette occasion, l’accent est mis sur la connaissance des agents seigneuriaux de tout ordre (intendants, régisseurs, baillis, receveurs, sergents…) qui peuplaient les structures administratives seigneuriales. La finalité historiographique de cette démarche est fort simple : il s’agit de confronter notre perception de la seigneurie moderne aux apports de la science des organisations, domaine encore trop neuf pour les historiens français. Enfin, dans un troisième et dernier chapitre, il s’agit de prendre la mesure de tous les outils de gestion (terriers, chassereaux, comptes, inventaires d’archives…) dont disposaient les administrateurs et d’ observer l’action de ces derniers notamment lorsque la « seigneurie entrait en chantier » ou lorsqu’ils inscrivaient leur pratique professionnelle dans un cadre transfrontalier
This essay first aims at defining the different identities of the Walloon seigniory, by favoriving the notion of geographic scale with a reasoned use of the cartographic dimension. Then, we’ll explain how the seigniorial structures used to administrate both in the northern provinces of France and in the southern Austrian Netherlands during the last century of the Ancient Régime. On that occasion, the emphasis is put on the knowledge of the seigneurial administrative structures. The historiographic aim of this process is quite simple : to confront our perception of modern seigniory with what the science of organizations can offer, a field hardly explored by French historians. At last, in the third chapter, we’ll enumerate each and evory administrative tool (such as terriers, chassereaux, accounts or archives compenduums), in the hands of every administration and we’ll observe their action notably when the seigniory “was reconstructing” or when they were inscribing their professional practice beyond their political limits

This research project was designed in order to investigate which conception of motor dimension underlies the role of child education teachers and how such design interferes in their practice. For theoretical support, we used Henri Wallon s development theory, which considers the human being in a complete and integrated way. The research had a qualitative approach and information has been collected through interviews performed with teachers who work in different segments of different institutions of early childhood education, in order to identify their discourse, what they mean by motor dimension and if they implement in early childhood education routine situations and / or proposals related to this dimension. Tables and summaries have been designed to assist in the analysis and discussion of information. This study found that the affective and cognitive dimensions are ensured in pedagogical practices. As for the motor dimension, it is necessary to extend the teachers knowledge concerning this dimension and turn it into educational practice that fosters the whole development of the child
Este projeto de pesquisa foi delineado com o objetivo de investigar qual concepção de dimensão motora embasa a atuação de professores de Educação infantil e como tal concepção interfere em sua prática. Para dar sustentação teórica, foi utilizada a teoria de desenvolvimento de Henri Wallon, que entende o ser humano de forma completa e integrada. A pesquisa teve uma abordagem qualitativa e, para a produção de informações foram realizadas entrevistas com professoras que atuam em diferentes segmentos de diferentes instituições de Educação Infantil, com o intuito de identificar no discurso das mesmas o que entendem por dimensão motora e se implementam na rotina da educação infantil situações e/ou propostas relacionadas à esta dimensão. Quadros e sínteses foram elaborados para auxiliar na analise e discussão das informações. Este estudo apontou que as dimensões afetiva e cognitiva estão asseguradas nas práticas pedagógicas. Quanto à dimensão motora, faz - se necessário ampliar o conhecimento das professoras sobre esta dimensão e transformá-lo em pratica pedagógica que propicie o desenvolvimento integral da criança

Saffron Walden has an excellent town archive. There are also other good primary sources. The argument of this thesis arose from these circumstances. The purpose of this study became an investigation of whether the artisan segment of society in a small English market town of the eighteenth century constituted a homogeneous group or whether marked differentiation occurred within that segment. The nature of the artisan segment of the town is examined from the perspectives of the economic, religious and social structures found there. Due consideration is also given to the way in which the town was governed and to the importance of its charitable organisations. The roles of literacy and the ability to be able to afford the security granted by fire insurance in the latter part of the century also turned out to be of critical importance. Life-course analysis for a number of artisans was also carried out permitting a prosopographical approach to be adopted where relevant. It is concluded that for an artisan in the eighteenth century in Saffron Walden a number of factors were vital in determining whether he would be successful. These included his initial family background and position within that family, the trade to which he was apprenticed, his likelihood of gaining patronage and thus access to the benefits that the town’s charitable institutions could provide, including a place at the Charity School, and his religious persuasion, particularly if he was a nonconformist or a Quaker. A man favoured in these ways might gain the appellation of ‘gentleman’. A less fortunate artisan might end his days as a pauper. Differentiation within the artisan segment in eighteenth century Saffron Walden indeed existed.

L'etude de l'identite regionale wallonne nous a permis d'envisager l'identite collective comme processus d'elaboration socio-cognitive du reel qui positionne la collectivite en des roles d'acteur ou de spectateurs face au reel qu'elle constitue nous avons pu ainsi caracteriser, a partir de leur discours, une majorite wallonne du sens commun et une minorite wallonne engagee dans le processus du mouvement regionaliste. Les processus socio-cognitifs constitutifs des discours operent par representations et categorisations qui tendent a expliquer l'environnement (physique et social), l'ordonner lui donner un sens. Objectivant la situation vecue wallonne. Les wallons tendent de l'elucider et leur conceptualisation traite du determinisme qui a regit. Dialectiquement, par les memes processus, ils se situent collectivement par rapport a elle en majorite passive et minorite active. Ces discours ont des effets sociaux en fonction des reconnaissances des appartenances qu'ils suscitent. Ils ont une influence qu'elle soit majoritaire ou minoritaire. L'influence apparait des, comme une lutte pour les classements : travail socio-cognitif de categorisation legitimise dans le cadre des theories d'influence majoritaire ou minoritaire. Des lors, dans le cadre de l'influence minoritaire, l'identite collective traite du statut du sujet de l'action collective. L'innovation identitaire procede d'un travail de categorisation nouveau ou le sujet collectif, objectivant sa subjectivite peut operer des metamorphoses sociales, culturelles, politiques.

Abstract:
The objective of my research was to compile all known burial data from the Fort Walton culture located in northwest Florida (A.D. 1000 to contact) to determine any patterns in burial practices. A thorough literature review of all published material was conducted to obtain the burial data. I also reviewed burial practices of other contemporaneous late prehistoric cultures in the Southeast, including the Pensacola and Rood cultures. The burial data clearly indicate that Fort Walton burial practices varied greatly; 14 different burial types were identified from all of the sites. A similar pattern is seen among Pensacola, Rood and Mississippian ceremonial centers. However, secondary burials were dominant at mixed Fort Walton/Pensacola and Pensacola sites when compared to classic Fort Walton burial sites. This may have been the result of European contact, which might have changed native burial practices in northwest Florida, as a result of disease and displacement; however, future studies are needed to assess this hypothesis. Caches of pottery and burials capped with pottery appear to be a unique characteristic among Pensacola burial sites. Two major dissimilarities observed at Rood burials were the practice of dyeing teeth and a mass burial with an altar. Of all of the Fort Walton sites, the elite burials from the Lake Jackson site most closely resembles the elite burials discovered at Etowah, Moundville, and Spiro, due to the Southeastern Ceremonial Complex (SECC) goods and the elaborate tombs.

Socio-affetive relation are important for the construction of the teacher-student relationship and exhibit relevant contributions for the learning-teaching process. The Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) was our reserach field to try to understand those relationships built in the school context and what the implicatiions on the formation of those teacher are. Under the affection perspective presented by Henri Wallon we analyzed data colected from: an optional discipline of Experimental Science, scholarhsip awarded students that taught the course and the professor that supervised the school. Foloowing the assumptions of the Discursive Textual Analysis for the data analysis we obtained two categories, being The construction of the professor-student relationship that aims to understand the particularities of the relationship built between scholarship awarded students and the course's students, and The Initial Formation and Continued Formation, affective interactions on the formation of teachers that observerd the built relationship between the scholarship awarded student and the supervisor.
As relação socioafetivas são importantes para a construção da relação professor aluno e apresentam relevantes contribuições para o processo ensino aprendizagem. O Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) como programa de formação de professores foi nosso campo de pesquisa para buscar compreender essas relações constituídas no âmbito escolar e quais as implicações na formação desses professores. Na perspectiva da afetividade apresentada por Henri Wallon foram analisados dados coletados com os alunos de uma disciplina optativa de Ciência Experimental, com os bolsistas do programa que ministravam a disciplina e com a professora supervisora da escola. Seguindo os pressupostos da Análise Textual Discursiva para análise dos dados obtivemos duas categorias a primeira, a Construção da relação professor-aluno que visa compreender as particularidades da relação constituída entre bolsistas e alunos e, ao final a subcategoria Formação inicial e formação continuada: entrelaces afetivos na formação de professores que observou a relação construída entre bolsista e professora supervirosa.

His reign would be rife with controversy, leading to widespread racial violence and draconian government intervention. Lester Walton, theater critic for the New York Age, became obsessed with Johnson; his extensive writing on the boxer powerfully reveals not just Walton’s own struggle with issues of race in America, but sheds light on the difficulties the black community at large faced in trying to make sense of a figure who simultaneously represented hope for the positive change Reconstruction failed to produce and, ironically, also threatened to intensify the hardships of Jim Crow era oppression.

Abstract This thesis acknowledges the social and cultural importance of education and the role the institution plays in the construction of knowledge – in this case of young Nunga males. It also recognizes that education is a contested field. I have disrupted constructions of knowledge about young Nunga males in mainstream education by mapping and rapping - or mappin and rappin Aboriginal English - the theories of race, masculinity, performance, cultural capital, body and desire and space and place through the use of Nunga time-space pathways. Through disruption I have shown how the theories of race and masculinity underpin ways in which Blackness and Indignity are played out within the racialisation of education and how the process of racialisation informs young Nunga males’ experiences of schooling. The cultural capital that young Nunga males bring to the classroom and schooling environment must be acknowledged to enable performance of agency in contested time, space and knowledge paradigms. Agency privileges their understanding and desire for change and encourages them to apply strategies that contribute to their own journeys home through time-space pathways that are (at least in part) of their own choosing.
