Abstract:
The world has witnessed the digital transformation and Industry 4.0 technologies in the past decade. Nevertheless, there is still a lack of automation and digitalization in certain areas of the manufacturing industry; in particular, warehouse automation often has challenges in design and successful deployment. The effective management of the warehouse and inventory plays a pivotal role in the supply chain and production. In the literature, different architectures of Warehouse Management Systems (WMSs) and automation techniques have been proposed, but most of those have focused only on particular sections of warehouses and have lacked successful deployment. To achieve the goal of process automation, we propose an Internet-of-Things (IoT)-based architecture for real-time warehouse management by dividing the warehouse into multiple domains. Architecture viewpoints were used to present models based on the context diagram, functional view, and operational view specifically catering to the needs of the stakeholders. In addition, we present a generic IoT-based prototype system that enables efficient data collection and transmission in the proposed architecture. Finally, the developed IoT-based solution was deployed in the warehouse of a textile factory for validation testing, and the results are discussed. A comparison of the key performance parameters such as system resilience, efficiency, and latency rate showed the effectiveness of our proposed IoT-based WMS architecture.

Abstract:
The article addresses the problem of redistribution of warehouse resources when working in a virtual organization or when changing the logistics structure of the enterprise. A two-stage model of providing warehouse resources to a common access to participants of a virtual en-terprise is considered. An automated system for managing redistribution of resources for the stage of disconnecting from a virtual enterprise or when closing your own warehouses was developed. A description of the control object - a distributed warehouse system of an industrial enterprise specializing in the production of sheet metal. A formalized description of the technological process for the production of cold-rolled steel, including the stages of stockpiling, has been developed. The task of managing the distribution of resources is posed, the functional structure of the software complex is designed. Information, mathematical and algorithmic support for solving the problem of redistributing resources is presented. The architecture of information support includes a database containing regulatory and reference information and document management of the enterprise. The database information is used by the algorithmic support of four functional modules: management of normative and reference information, management of receipts and sales, management of warehouse movements, management of multi-turn packaging. The result of the work is presented by the system of dynamic redistribution of warehouse resources and implemented on the 1C: Enterprise platform, which allows solving the problems of the operational movement of material resources between the enterprise’s warehouses, also under the conditions of the virtual enterprise functioning. Absolute and relative distribution criteria are formed. The first group includes absolute criteria: volume, quantity, amount, weight. The second group consists of relative distribution criteria: quantity/volume, amount/volume, weight/volume. Testing the system using the example of criteria from each group showed the operability of all types of support using the example of a warehouse complex of an enterprise manufacturing metal rolling. Flexible customizable system structure allows you to expand the application of the proposed algorithmic support to other types of resources.

Introduction. This article discusses the essence of compositions. The concept of automated management system of material and information flows is described. The main components of «smart» composition are identified. Its technological and technical aspects are analyzed. The advantages of the introduction of «smart» warehouse systems in the field of warehousing logistics are investigated.Problem Statement. Every year in Ukraine more than 30 million tons of goods are sold, and if we take into account that on the way the goods undergo up to 15–20 transshipments ― this figure exceeds 300 million tons. The range of goods sold in the service sector reaches 400 thousand items, and taking into account the types and varieties ― more than 1 million. This huge mass of goods before entering the trading floor is accepted, unloaded, assembled, prepared for sale, and so on. Execution of these logistic operations, improvement of all logistic process is impossible without existence of the corresponding warehouse network. To date, warehousing can not remain in this state, it has exhausted the reserves of improving the efficiency of its work. It is necessary to solve the problem of further development of warehousing at a qualitatively new level of organization and technical equipment.Purpose.Analyze the feasibility of implementing systems of smart warehouses to improve the efficiency of the logistics system.Materials and Methods.Much attention is paid to the question of the effective functioning of warehouses by domestic and foreign scientists such as Stoke J. R., Lambert D. M., Oklander M. A., Krykavsky E. V., Nikolaychuk P. V. and others. The lack of research in the field of implementation of smart warehouses and the need to determine the impact of new factors on the logistics process in the warehouse determines the relevance of the article.Results.After analyzing the technological and technical aspects used in «smart» warehouses, their characteristics were given, the advantages and disadvantages were indicated. Active development of information systems, new communications allow to change conditions of interaction of the enterprise with consumers. The modern warehouse complex, which has advanced technologies, allows to solve many problems related to the circulation of inventory.Conclusions. Abstract:
In this paper, the author designs an e-commerce transport system, which covers the locations of producers’ facilities, distribution warehouses, and the business customers and deliveries among them. The study aims to identify the best locations for warehouses to increase efficiency in multi-stage transport systems. To reach this goal, the author revises distance metrics and suggests a methodological framework useful for warehouse location selection and practical applications. The empirical research is delivered by selecting a warehouse location using the maximal coverage model and mandatory closeness distance condition. After analyzing four warehouses’ alternatives, results are presented by applying various distance metrics. The results show that the selection of the location of the main warehouse depends on the level of returns that are defined by using the Mersenne Twister algorithm, and the distance calculation metrics representing differences in ranking. By the end of the study, the recommendation is given to apply the presented methodological approach for decision-makers seeking to improve service distances where decisions are made using path-based service distance criteria. The increase of efficiency is important from a policy development perspective, as findings of the study could help to reduce transport delivery costs for customers.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to determine whether the presence of risk management in a warehouse requires the implementation of modern warehouse technology. On the basis of the literature analysis, it was possible to determine that there is a correlation between the presence of the highest level of risk management and the use of modern warehouse technology in individual warehousing processes. For this purpose, a statistical analysis was carried out on a sample of companies operating in the Slovenian automotive industry. The results did not reveal a tangible correlation between the presence of risk management with the use of individual modern warehouse technology, the motivation for its use and errors in its use. The results of the study therefore, highlight the problems that are present in the warehousing system of the Slovenian companies in the automotive industry, which are related to substandard technological equipment in the warehouses and to the discrepancy between the level of manufacturing automation and the level of warehousing automation. The results are important for the Slovenian automotive industry in terms of the implementation of modern warehouse technology in the high-tech automotive industry.

Abstract:
In my paper I examined the institutional and market connections warehouses use emphasising the role of financial institutions. I stressed that for the proper functioning of a warehouse the mutual trust of the economic participants is required. This presupposes a tight relationship between warehouses and banks, as banks have to accept warehouse warrants in such a manner that the credit suppliant can more readily access current assets credit.Today, we can say that the moneylender bank is strongly confident about deals involving warehouse credit. The amount of goods stored in warehouses is increasing. Warehouse deals offer better conditions to depositors, which can be explained by the fact that the creditor does not examine the management and credit standing of the depositor. Most important for them is that the goods provide enough collateral to ensure marketability, and that the warehouse storage conditions are proper. On the other hand, with the support of an interest subsidy system credit is obtainable at very auspicious conditions. To top it all off, and this is the most important aspect participants can receive access to funds unavailable to them in any other case.

Abstract:
Supply chain management has always been fascinating to study. Not only goods but also the integration of logistical complexities to meet the requirements of customers or corporations (Extron, 2012). At the same time, inventory management is also fundamental in supply chain management (Dorfman, 1954; Hult et al., 2004). Warehouse management systems play an important role in logistics to maintain effectiveness, controlling movement and storage of materials. This system is critical because it involves chain management. This study strives to find evidence on order picking systems to maximize warehouse space and warehouse performance. Also, this study attempts to test the likelihood that inventory management has a significant influence on financial performance in the manufacturing industry. The methodology relies on qualitative and quantitative approaches to note the successful implementation of the order picking system, and the financial impact. This study provides evidence on the substantial relationships among SCM, inventory management & financial performance.

The priority tasks for improving the system of accounting and information base, analytical service for making optimal operational management decisions in increasing the competitive advantages and profitability of temporary storage warehouses (TSW) services in the logistics system are identified. The authors note that for each warehouse that has its own purpose, there is a methodology for accounting for the cost of storing goods (except for the service of ser-vices) and a mechanism for calculating the total of services performed by each warehouse is nec-essary. Accounting and distribution of overhead costs in transport has its own characteristics. For many years of development of the management accounting methodology, a number of meth-ods for solving the problems of overhead distribution have been developed.
