Ecologically feasible ways of cereal wastes recycling are considered and their comparative analysis is carried out. The description of granulation methods for waste is especially investigated and the most effective technical solution for the studied elevator is proposed. Grain wastes of category III are not suitable for cattle and poultry feeding, therefore, they are stored in the territories adjacent to a grain processing enterprise for a certain time, and then they are taken to the landfill or burnt. The wastes include the wastes from the process of grain cleaning with the grain content of n

There are forecasts for the exponential increase in the generation of carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) and glass fibre-reinforced polymer (GFRP) composite wastes containing valuable carbon and glass fibres. The recent adoption of these composites in wind turbines and aeroplanes has increased the amount of end-of-life waste from these applications. By adequately closing the life cycle loop, these enormous volumes of waste can partly satisfy the global demand for their virgin counterparts. Therefore, there is a need to properly dispose these composite wastes, with material recovery being t

Wastes from electrical - electronic equipment (WEEE) are of huge concerns worldwide. With the decreasing life cycle of most electrical - electronic equipment (EEE), the WEEE growth rate is fast, about 3÷5% annually. This is considered as the fastest growing waste stream among municipal wastes. WEEE contains, in addition to plastic, glass etc., high contents of base metals and precious metals. They are regarded as potential secondary resources of metals in addition to primary resources of metals from metallic ores. The involvement of households in the recycling activity in the last decade has been perceived as an effective way to reduce the amount of solid wastes in the landfill areas as well as to reuse the materials. The recycling practice among the public is very crucial in order to reduce the problem of overwhelming landfills and energy. The ever-increasing flow of household waste is an enormous environmental problem in many countries. By looking at the tremendous amount of solid wastes, Malaysia needs public participation in solid waste management by recycling the unused materials. Thus, the present

There is a growing interest in electronic wastes (e-wastes) recycling for metal recovery because the fast depletion of worldwide reserves for primary resources is gradually becoming a matter of concern. E-wastes contain metals with a concentration higher than that present in the primary ores, which renders them as an apt resource for metal recovery. Owing to such aspects, research is progressing well to address several issues related to e-waste recycling for metal recovery through both chemical and biological routes.
