This study investigates the total phenolic and flavonoid contents, antioxidant activity, and metal chelation capacity of acetone and water extracts from Anethum graveolens L.. The total phenolic content of the acetone extract was significantly higher (173.49 ± 4.91 µg GAE/mg extract) than the water extract (98.52 ± 3.62 µg GAE/mg extract). Similarly, the flavonoid content of the acetone extract (72.81 ± 1.15 µg QE/mg extract) exceeded that of the water extract (27.69 ± 1.72 µg QE/mg extract). The emulsifying and demulsifying abilities of ethanol, n-hexane and distilled water extracts of Gmelina arborea leaves in oil-in-water phase was investigated. Quantitative and qualitative phytochemical analyses of the extracts were done by GCMS method. The article describes preparing extracts of Artemisia annua L. and the use of the extracts to compare the virus-inhibiting activity against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
 The extracts were prepared using hot water, water-alcohol mixture and butanol. The extracts were tested in screening-format tests on Vero E6 cells to measure the cytotoxicity and antiviral activity.
