Abstract:
Icelandic waterworks first began implementing hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) as a preventive approach for water safety management in 1997. Since then implementation has been ongoing and currently about 68% of the Icelandic population enjoy drinking water from waterworks with a water safety plan based on HACCP. Preliminary evaluation of the success of HACCP implementation was undertaken in association with some of the waterworks that had implemented HACCP. The evaluation revealed that compliance with drinking water quality standards improved considerably following the imple

In order to allocate the raw water of the complex water supply system in Shenzhen reasonably, this paper studied the complex network relationship of this large-scale urban water supply system, which consists of 46 reservoirs, 67 waterworks, 2 external diversion water sources, 14 pumping stations and 9 gates, and described each component of the system with the concepts of point, line and plane. Using the topological analysis technology and graph theory, a generalized model of the network topological structure of the urban water allocation system was established. Risk in Water Supply System Crisis Management Water supply system belongs to the so called critical infrastructure of cities, and it should be a priority task for waterworks and even for the local authorities to ensure the suitable level of its safety. This system is characterised by its continuous work and requires high reliability level for its operating as well as for its safety, it is unique and its particular elements have different functions and simultaneously they interact forming an integral whole. However, of the three HPPs planned in this section: Varyazhskaya, Nizhne-Suyanskaya and Pavlovskaya HPP, for the time being, only Pavlovskaya HPP has been built. To solve the issues of decreasing revenue of waterworks caused by population decline and increasing renewal cost caused by ageing facilities, it is necessary to strengthen the financial base of the waterworks by undertaking efficient reconstruction of water supply system, and the cost of future renewal demands and anti-seismic upgrading need to be reduced. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of the reconstruction of water supply system from the economic viewpoint and identifies affecting factors. In two-dimensional flow, the point of flow separation from the surface coincides with the point at which the skin friction vanishes. However, in three-dimensional flow, the situation is much more complex and the flow separation is rarely associated with the vanishing of the wall shear stress except in a few special cases. Though the effects of cross-plane separation are substantial and have been recognized for some time, the phenomenon of flow separation over three-dimensional bodies is still far from being completely understood. The flow is so complex that no completely satisfactory analytica
