A novel processing way for the continuous helicoid reflective mirrors is proposed. We use an intelligent oven to accurately control the glass temperature and successfully produce a helicoid reflective mirror in B270 glass. Then we test the shape and optical properties of the helicod reflective mirror via the three-coordinate instrument measuring and interference experiment.

Since its inception in the late 1960s in St. Lambert, Quebec, Canada, one-way immersion has become a globalized phenomenon taking many forms and focusing on many target languages. In this paper, we will take a brief historical look at one-way immersion with regard to its program design and variants. We will then describe how immersion has evolved by focusing on five particular one-way immersion contexts: French immersion in Canada, French immersion in Louisiana, French immersion in Australia, English immersion in Hong Kong, and Chinese immersion in the U.S. We explore each of these programs by

It looks at how Tacitus’ depictions of non-Romans reflect back on Rome, and at the echoes of Rome’s past and future that can be discerned within his description of Tiberius’ principate. After an introduction that discusses key thematic and methodological questions, Chapter 1 shows that Tiberius’ accession and the Pannonian and German mutinies described in 'Annals' 1 echo Tacitus’ account in 'Histories' 1 of events of AD 69. This Working Paper discusses entangled migrations as territorially and temporally entangled onto-epistemological phenomena. As a theoretical-analytical framework, it addresses the material, epistemological and ethical premises of spatial-temporal entanglements and relationality in the understanding of migration as a modern colonial phenomenon. Entangled migrations acknowledges that local migratory movements mirror global migrations in complex ways, engaging with the analysis of historical connections, territorial entrenchments, cultural confluences, and overlapping antagonistic relations acros

Abstract:
This conference discusses the responsibility of media when reporting on crime and the hidden purposes coverage may pursue. The interpretation of crime phenomenon by the press has become a two-edged sword for policymakers and the public. The return to democratic rule throughout the region has meant journalists can report on an endless number of topics extensively; dictatorships frequently were able to suppress the unwelcome news of social turmoil, such as crime, through censorship. However, the "cronica roja"--gripping bloodsoaked true crime tales--carried by many newspapers and magazines can a

Abstract:
A “systems thinking” (ST) approach generally recognises that international development processes are complex, inter-related, non-linear, and constantly changing. They involve many different types of actors, all with different levels of power. ST change methods try to mirror these qualities, and move away from more conventional project design and implementation that use simple linear input-output-impact project logic. Thus, this rapid literature review seeks to find out what are some examples of ‘systems thinking’ projects in international development. The aim of this rapid review is to provide

Key Points In 2020, nearly 42 million US women had a potential demand for contraceptive services and supplies, and 18.8 million were likely in need of public support for this care. Between 2010 and 2020, the number of women with a potential demand for contraceptive care rose steadily. The number of women who were likely in need of public support for this care rose 8% between 2010 and 2016 and then fell 9% between 2016 and 2020, shifts that generally mirror changes in the number of women living in poverty. As major components of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) were implemented, the number of wome
