Abstract:
It is proposed to distinguish between the traditional, so-called, weak, artificial intelligence (AI) and strong artificial intelligence, or artificial general intelligence (AGI). The latter is not considered as the evolutionary stage of the development of AI, but something else related to the construction of an informal and non-causal phenomenological space, as a kind of opposite to AI. AGI is determined by inverse problems solving on topologies, using analogies of quantum physics and optics, connecting aspects of relativistic theory. It is noted that the AGI continual power is tens of orders

The article is devoted to the hype that surrounds artificial intelligence (AI) today, which can be compared with a virus attack, or more precisely with the spread of a meme. So, Bruno Latour would definitely agree that the mutation of the virus is creativity. We usually do not recognize any intelligence behind viruses or bacteria. Only as a figure of speech. Thus, it is shown that the problem of AI is a problem of pantheism, that is, anti-intellectualism of AI. For example, today AI is implemented primarily in the form of constructing a “smart” environment in which more and more stupid people

The super-alignment problem of how humans can effectively supervise super-human AI has garnered increasing attention. Recent research has focused on investigating the weak-to-strong generalization (W2SG) scenario as an analogy for super-alignment. This scenario examines how a pre-trained strong model, supervised by an aligned weak model, can outperform its weak supervisor. Despite good progress, current W2SG methods face two main issues: 1) The annotation quality is limited by the knowledge scope of the weak model; 2) It is risky to position the strong model as the final corrector. A famous definition of AI is based on the terms weak and strong AI from McCarthy. An open question is the characterization of these terms, i.e., the transition from weak to strong. Nearly no research results are known for this complex and important question. In this paper we investigate how the size and structure of a Neural Network (NN) limits the learnability of a training sample, and thus, can be used to discriminate weak and strong AI (domains). Furthermore, the size of the training sample is a primary parameter for the training effort estimation with the big O function. The needed trainin

Therefore, humans will only be able to weakly supervise superhuman models. This expected deficiency of human evaluation would weaken the safety of future AI systems. Scalable oversight and weak-to-strong generalization are two complementary approaches to tackle this issue. The polariton effect is first studied in the case of a completely coherent interaction between QW excitons and bulk photons, i.e. in the so called strong coupling limit. Then, an incoherent damping rate for the exciton states is included and the resulting modifications in the polariton dispersion are analyzed. AbstractThis chapter is programmatic in style and content. It describes some patterns and one central argument of that, what I take as the view of digital humanism and which we exposed in our book (Nida-Rümelin and Weidenfeld 2018). The central argument regards the critique of strong and weak AI. This chapter does not discuss the logical and metaphysical aspects of digital humanism that I take to be part of the broader context of the theory of reason (Nida-Rümelin 2020, Chaps. VI and VII).
