Transportation is one of the needs at this time can be classified in the form of primary needs, where without a transportation it will definitely interfere with one's activities. This has an effect on the development of current technology. Even transportation-related innovations have sprung up. Departing from this, researchers found one problem that is related to the search for driver or driver services for vehicles. From this problem researchers raised an idea to build a driver or driver search system online. Researchers named this application as "Go Driver". Go Driver is an android and web p

One of the serious problems of mobile Web browsing is that users often get lost in a Web page and can only view a small portion of a Web page at a time, not able to grasp the entire page’s structure to decide which direction their information of interest is located. AbstractThe emergence of Web 2.0 and mobile Internet produces massive user-generated content (UGC), including geo-tagged photos, social network posts, street view images, and crowdsourced GPS trajectories. UGC creates unprecedented opportunities to sense what was previously hidden in the physical surfaces of cities and to portray the interactions of infrastructures, geo-information, and people; therefore, it is not only a new lens for urban space but also leads to innovative applications. In this chapter, we will introduce several typical types of UGC, such as geo-tagged photos, social media data, crowdsourcing GPS trajectories, and videos. We showcase ways in which user-generated big data can be harvested and analyzed to generate invisible and impressionistic landscapes of urban dynamics and to stimulate innovative applications. We discuss typical UGC-driven applications to demonstrate the potential of UGC in revealing how urban spaces are perceived by the public, establishing links between tangible artifacts and physical-cyber-social spaces. This fosters alternative approaches to urban informatics that better capture the intricate nature of urban space and its dynamics.

Websites have evolved over the past few years utilizing a variety of programming languages and frameworks. There were other developers working on them concurrently. Developers deploy their projects utilizing a number of design patterns to handle these sophisticated web apps, which makes the code simpler and easier to work with. They are well known for using the model view controller approach. Model, view, and controller, or MVC, are the three components that make up an application in accordance with the MVC architectural pattern. Each of these parts is made to address particular facets of application development. This chapter focuses on MVC for mobile device website viewing. The various sections of this chapter address the introduction to MVC, MVC components, the architecture pattern, several techniques used to implement the pattern in the project, and an example of MVC architecture. The Internet is a major driver of e-learning advancement and there was an estimate of over 1000 million Internet users in 2004. The ownership of mobile devices is even more astonishing. ITU (2006) reported that 77% of the population in developed countries are mobile subscribers. The emergence of mobile, wireless and satellite technologies is impacting our daily life and our learning. New Internet technologies are being used to support small-screen mobile and wireless devices. In a field marked by such rapid evolution, we cannot assume that the Web as we know it today will remain the primary conduit for Internet- based learning (Bowles, 2004, p.12). Mobile and wireless technologies will play a pivotal role in learning. This new field is commonly known as mobile learning (m-learning). In this article, the context of m-learning in relation to e-learning and d-learning is presented. Because of the great importance in Web-based technologies to bridge over mobile and wireless technologies, the infrastructure to support mlearning through browser-based technologies is described. This concept represents my own view on the future direction of m-learning. An m-learning experiment, which implemented the concept, is then presented.

Abstract:
In view of the fact that there is a lot of biomedical research data, rapidly accumulating to relevant repositories, there is an urgent need these data to be delivered, as soon as possible, to the specific scientific audience interesting in it. Unfortunately, the current database technologies often isolate data rather than making it easily and freely accessible. A considerable effort by the information scientists is needed to process the resources that meet the scientific query criteria as well as to index and present them as useful metadata. Taking into account that biomedical data are mostly hidden from the public eye, often stored in not indexed databases or libraries and inaccessible by standard search engines, the retrieval, storing, annotating, and qualification of health information remain major challenges. The evolution of the World Wide Web from a collection of unstructured and predominantly human readable data into the Semantic Web of knowledge with meaningful relationships between resources and machine readable data will significantly improve our ability to conduct bioinformatics analyses and to make better clinical decisions that positively affect healthcare outcomes. To this end novel semantic web services arise, which depend on markup ontologies in order to make biological and clinical data logical analysis computational and reasonable processed through the utilization of appropriate algorithms. Herein, we discuss the use of these technologies for the efficient and reliable retrieval of meaningful biomedical data from the relevant resources and repositories.

Abstract:
This chapter addresses the challenges that changing technologies pose to urban planning. Urban planning continues to be influenced by an emerging creativity and knowledge-sharing culture that has an inherent connection to digital transformation. Technology certainly plays an important role in the production of content and its distribution. Such a transformation is giving urban planning a new look, which is depicted in the concepts of Urban Planning 2.0 and Urban Planning 3.0. In this chapter, this paradigm shift is explained and illustrated with a special view to identifying the ways these second and third generations of the Web affect urban planning. There is a plethora of pilot projects and new practices in Urban Planning 2.0, even if experiences as a whole are so few and far between, which makes it difficult to assess both the best practices in this field and the long-term impacts of their application. Recent developments associated with the applications of Web 3.0 and related technology trends in urban planning, which are designed to bring intelligence into planning, have hardly seen daylight due to both technological and socio-technical challenges associated with them. In brief, in the case of Web 2.0, we know on the basis of our initial experiences by and large how it may support urban planning; however, in the case of Web 3.0, technological uncertainties and systemic dimension of related applications make the concept more ambiguous and thus more challenging to assess what the true potential of this emerging Web trend is from the point of view of urban planning.

In this article, the context of m-learning in relation to e-learning and d-learning is presented. Because of the great importance in Web-based technologies to bridge over mobile and wireless technologies, the infrastructure to support m-learning through browser-based technologies is described. This concept represents my own view on the future direction of m-learning. An m-learning experiment, which implemented the concept, is then presented.

In this paper we present MeLOD, a mobile learning environment which exploits the huge amount of dataset in the Linked Open Data (LOD) cloud to provide contextualized and updated information based on students' location. The position of the student, sent by the mobile device, is used to interlink Geonames, DBpedia and Europeana datasets in order to provide information about all the cultural heritage sites close to the student. One of the advantages of using LOD datasets as the knowledge base (KB) of the system, is that new datasets can be easily interconnected to the existing KB. From a pedagogi

Open-screen advertising is one kind of popular mobile advertising with the characteristics of full-screen, mandatory, and wide coverage. However, the intrusiveness induced by its sudden appearance reduces users’ experience of mobile applications. Inserting a skip button into the advertisement is a good way to improve users’ experience but may affect the advertising effectiveness. Across two studies, we tried to find a win-win solution that makes users less disgusted with open-screen advertising and has no detrimental effect on the advertising effectiveness concerned by advertisers. Accessibility and uptake of geoscience knowledge by First Nations and Inuit community members has traditionally been limited. This is, at least in part, due to the technical nature of geological maps and the expensive licensing requirements of the geographic information system software that is used to view and analyse geoscience data. During the Foundational Year of GEM GeoNorth, we investigated the potential of available apps and platforms, including NRCan Observer, Rockd and SIKU to broaden access and knowledge sharing of geoscience with non-specialists. The study also sought to record how poor and marginalised households view the multiple institutions that govern their lives; providing basic publ

Politicians and analysts have taken up the increasing use of mobile money services in Kenya’s informal sector as a potential entry point to taxing small-scale businesses that usually fly under the radar of local tax authorities. Along these lines, the Finance Act 2023 proposed, among several other tax increases, to raise the excise duty tax on mobile money services from 12 to 15 per cent, resulting in increased fees for customers.
