Abstract:
Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan ceramah atau penyuluhan yang berupa penyampaian informasi untuk materi tertentu yang dapat bersifat umum maupun khusus. Dalam kegiatan kali ini materi yang akan disampaikan berkaitan dengan bidang kewirausahaan. Namun uniknya, proses penyampaian akan dilakukan melalui suatu media teknologi informasi yaitu Cisco Webex. Media Webex ini masih bersifat terbuka untuk umum atau gratis untuk digunakan oleh kalangan masyarakat umum. Cisco Webex adalah suatu media komunikasi audio visual yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan jaringan komunikasi internet. Kecepatan dan kapasitas bandwith sangat menentukan bagi kelancaran penggunaan media tersebut. Dengan menggunakan Webex, kita dapat melakukan komunikasi dengan siapapun dan kapanpun dengan biaya yang relatif murah dibandingkan bila komunikasi dilakukan dengan tatap muka di daerah tertentu, dengan dihadiri oleh para peserta dari daerah lain. Sedangkan materi yang akan disampaikan adalah konsep dalam melakukan kegiatan kewirausahaan pada umumnya. Para peserta akan mendapatkan informasi melalui streaming dengan menggunakan media Webex di komputernya masing-masing di dalam kelas. Abstract:
The article considers the system of views on using information and communication technologies in the institutions of higher education. The concept of “interactive learning” has been defined. The ways of increasing the accessibility of higher education for students with limited abilities have been described. This issue can be solved by using interactive tools as the key to the successful training of such students is the optimization of teaching material in the most receptive form. The main features of various e-learning services which are used in the students’ learning process have been described: Blackboard, Prometeus, ATutor, Moodle, Cisco WebEx Meeting Center. The experience of the Canadian on-line Fredericton University’s researchers on the use of the WebEx service in the educational process of their university have been analyzed. The main advantages and objectives of the Cisco WebEx Meeting Center service have been described. It has been noted that due to multimedia and feedback, WebEx service provides the presence of distance learners in the training audience. It offers technologies for the accurate transmission of audio and video, data exchange and individual session for group and individual learning, which simplify the learning process. The usefulness of WebEx for students with limited abilities has been considered. Organizing and conducting of interactive class sessions for students with limited abilities using the Cisco WebEx Meeting Center service has been presented. WebEx service video broadcasting and sound transmission during interactive class sessions have been described.

Tujuan Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pembelajaran daring pada pelajaran kewirausahaan para siswa SMA Bangun Persada Kota Bekasi. Kegiatan diadakan pada bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2019. Kegiatan ini menggunakan tahapan dan metode penyuluhan, pendampingan praktek dan evaluasi serta wawancara. Kegiatan ini diikuti sebanyak 32 siswa kelas X IPS.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa sudah dapat mengetahui teori dan aplikasi cisco webex. Mereka dapat memahami materi kewirausahaan yang meliputi materi perencanaan kerajinan dan pemasaran produk. Nilai rata – rata pengantar aplikasi 75, Fungsi dan manfaat Webex 76, dan praktek dan aplikasi webex sebesar 73.

Kompleksitas permasalahan pembelajaran 4.0 dapat diatasi dengan penggunaan teknologi. Akan tetapi, tidak semua guru mahir memanfaatkan teknologi untuk membantu proses pembelajaran. Untuk itu, program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru di SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya tentang blended learning dan aplikasi-aplikasi pendukungnya. Metode yang diberikan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, tutorial, dan demonstrasi. Konsep blended learning dan variasi model terapannya dikenalkan kepada para peserta pelatihan. Kemudian, aplikasi cisco webex dan mentimeter dilatihkan penggunaannya melalui tutorial dan demonstrasi sebagai aplikasi pendukung blended learning. Cisco webex meeting dapat digunakan guru untuk terhubung dengan peserta didik dari jarak jauh melalui video conference, sedangkan mentimeter dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dari pelatihan ini dihasilkan lima Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) yang dikerjakan secara berkelompok oleh peserta pelatihan dengan menerapkan media cisco webex dan mentimeter. Hasil dari pelatihan ini dapat mendorong guru untuk mulai mengaplikasikan teknologi pada pembelajaran agar efektif dan efisien. The problem complexities in learning 4.0 can be solved by using technologies. However, there is a lack of teacher skills in applying technology to enhance the learning process. Therefore, this dedication to society program aims to train teachers in SMAN 4 Palangka Raya about blended learning and its supporting media. The given method was the lecture, question and answer, tutorial, and demonstration. The blended learning concept and its model variations were introduced to trainees. Then, the Cisco Webex meeting and Mentimeter were trained to them by tutorials and demonstrations as supporting media of blended learning. The Cisco Webex meeting can be used by teachers to stay connected to students by video conference, while the Mentimeter can be used to improve students' engagement in the learning process. From this training, five lesson plans were produced in groups by the trainees using cisco Webex and Mentimeter. Hopefully, this training can encourage teachers to start applying technology to learning to be effective and efficient.

Abstract This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of class discussion learning models by using the Cisco Webex application in improving students’ speaking skills and learning outcomes at the University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang. The research method was used a quasi-experimental research method with the research samples were students who took the speaking subject in the English Study Program. The research design used pretest and posttest control group design. A different test was conducted to measure the differences in the effectiveness of using learning media of Cisco Webex application and using of other applications learning media based on learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the level of effectiveness of class discussion method using of Cisco Webex application learning media in the experiment class is higher than the control class using other applications learning media 82.25 > 80.52.

Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to find how the first online learning implementation in the Department of Mathematics Education in The Islamic State Institute of Bengkulu during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was qualitative research which was conducted in July as an evaluation of the first online learning from March until July. 90 students were chosen by purposive sampling and then given an online questionnaire. The results showed that there were some mathematical courses students took in the Even Semester 2019/2020. The platforms used by lecturers while teaching Mathematics were 39.6% WhatsApp Group, 22% Google Classroom, 13.2% Cisco Webex, and 25.2 % others. Platforms that were felt effective as online learning applications were 52.7% Cisco Webex, 26.4 % WhatsApp Group, 9.9% Zoom meeting, 5.5% Google Classroom, and 5.5% others. This is felt to be effective because it does not consume a lot of data packages, has a strong signal, and can be accessed at any time (WhatsApp Group and Google Classroom). In addition, this platform can be used for live conferencing / video calls using whiteboards which are deemed effective for teaching math material (Cisco Webex). However, several obstacles were found during the implementation of online learning, namely difficulties in obtaining sufficient internet data packages; limited network; difficult assignments and assessments; less effective teaching methods; and use of multiple applications.

The use of technology in language learning has extensively expanded in line with the advancement of technology itself. However, the investigation into the implementation of video conferences, learning management systems, and mobile applications, particularly during the emergency remote teaching/the Covid-19 pandemic, is still lacking. This paper presents survey data from three groups of Indonesian EFL students using three different digital learning platforms: Cisco WebEx Meeting video conferencing, Google Classroom learning management system (LMS), and WhatsApp mobile messenger application. The purpose of the study was to determine the students’ preferences including their perception and point of views on using the platforms and application during the remote teaching situation. There were 140 EFL students from two universities/institutes in Jakarta and Aceh to take part as the participants. The instrument was a questionnaire based on criteria of CALL evaluation, and descriptive analysis using percentages and thematic analysis was applied. The findings show that the Cisco WebEx Meeting, Google Classroom, and WhatsApp gained highly positive agreement on all criteria. Specifically, the Cisco WebEx meeting got the highest scores on authenticity and meaning focus. Meanwhile, for GC and WhatsApp, the criteria on language learning potential, meaning focus and authenticity achieved the highest scores. Moreover, WhatsApp is the most preferred among others in meaning focus, learner fit, positive impact, and practicality. However, the three digital platforms received the lowest score on a positive impact at each group-participant. It seemingly indicates that they thought the full online digital learning system they experienced during ERT is less preferable than face-to-face learning.

In the past years, videoconferencing (VC) has become an essential means of communications. VC allows people to communicate face to face regardless of their location, and it can be used for different purposes such as business meetings, medical assistance, commercial meetings, and military operations. There are a lot of factors in real-time video transmission that can affect to the quality of service (QoS) and the quality of experience (QoE). The application that is used (Adobe Connect, Cisco Webex, and Skype), the internet connection, or the network used for the communication can affect to the QoE. Users want communication to be as good as possible in terms of QoE. In this paper, we propose an architecture for videoconferencing that provides better quality of experience than other existing applications such as Adobe Connect, Cisco Webex, and Skype. We will test how these three applications work in terms of bandwidth, packets per second, and delay using WiFi and 3G/4G connections. Finally, these applications are compared to our prototype in the same scenarios as they were tested, and also in an SDN, in order to improve the advantages of the prototype.

ABSTRACT Various animal diseases are not always known by animal owners, so they must always be socialized even in the condition of the COVID-19 outbreak. This community service aims to provide animal health information to the community by online. This activity was carried out from in November 2020 using the Cisco Webex platform. The results showed that as many as 269 participants have joined in the socialization, consisting of 180 from Yogyakarta and 89 from outside Yogyakarta. Concluded that online socialization of animal health is successfully carried out and received a very good response from the community. Keywords: Animal health; Community service; Veterinary clinic ABSTRAK Berbagai macam penyakit hewan tidak selalu diketahui oleh pemilik hewan, sehingga harus selalu disosialisasikan walapun dalam kondisi wabah COVID-19. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan memberikan informasi kesehatan hewan kepada masyarkat secara daring. Pengabdian dilakukan pada bulan bulan Oktober sampai Nopember 2020 secara daring menggunakan platform Cisco Webex. Hasil PKM menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 269 calon peserta telah mengikuti sosialisasi, yang terdiri dari 180 berasal dari Yogyakarta dan 89 dari luar Yogyakarta. Berdasar hasil kegiatan ini, disimpulkan bahwa sosialisasi tentang kesehatan hewan secara daring berhasil dilaksanakan dan mendapat respon sangat bagus dari masyarakat. <p>The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic requires learning to be done online. That way, the use of technology in the 4.0 era is also needed to be used as an online learning medium. Media that can be used to support online learning are Cisco Webex and educational games such as Quizizz. Observations made by the author of the sixth grade elementary school students show the problem of the lack of active learning of students when participating in online learning. Therefore, the purpose of writing this article is to describe the optimization of online learning media to encourage student learning activities in learning mathematics. The formulation of the problem taken is how to optimize online learning media by teachers in encouraging student learning activities in learning mathematics. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. In addition, in Christian education, teachers must still see each student as the image and likeness of God even though students are less active in participating in online learning. Therefore, teachers still need to pay attention and encourage students to develop and be actively involved in learning. Through the use of Cisco Webex to engage students in discussions and Quizizz to engage students in exercises, students become more active in learning. However, the teacher's efforts have not had an overall impact, so teachers need to understand more about online media and the right features in encouraging student learning activities.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Dampak dari pandemi Covid-19 mengharuskan pembelajaran dilakukan secara online. Dengan begitu, penggunaan teknologi era 4.0 juga diperlukan untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran online. Media yang dapat digunakan sebagai pendukung dalam pembelajaran <em>online </em>adalah <em>Cisco Webex</em> serta game edukasi seperti <em>Quizizz</em>. Pengamatan yang dilakukan oleh penulis terhadap siswa SD kelas VI menunjukkan masalah kurangnya keaktifan belajar siswa saat mengikuti pembelajaran online. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah memaparkan optimalisasi media pembelajaran <em>online</em> untuk mendorong keaktifan belajar siswa di dalam pembelajaran matematika. Rumusan masalah yang diambil adalah bagaimana optimalisasi media pembelajaran <em>online </em>yang dilakukan guru dalam mendorong keaktifan belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Selain itu, dalam pendidikan Kristen, guru harus tetap melihat setiap siswa sebagai gambar dan rupa Allah meskipun siswa kurang aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran secara <em>online</em>. Oleh karena itu, guru tetap perlu memperhatikan dan mendorong siswa untuk berkembang dan terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. Melalui penggunaan <em>Cisco Webex</em> untuk melibatkan siswa dalam diskusi serta <em>Quizizz</em> untuk melibatkan siswa dalam latihan, siswa menjadi lebih aktif mengikuti pembelajaran. Namun upaya guru tersebut belum berdampak secara keseluruhan, sehingga guru perlu memahami lagi media online serta fitur-fitur yang tepat dalam mendorong keaktifan belajar siswa.</p>

H μελέτη των ειδικών μαθησιακών δυσκολιών και της υποστήριξης των μαθητών με μαθησιακές δυσκολίες απασχολεί σε έντονο βαθμό την διεθνή ερευνητική κοινότητα. Τόσο στο εξωτερικό, όσο και στην Ελλάδα η ψυχοεκπαιδευτική υποστήριξη των ειδικών παιδαγωγών που διδάσκουν μαθητές με μαθησιακές δυσκολίες μέσα από έρευνες που έχουν πραγματοποιηθεί κυρίως στο εξωτερικό, φαίνεται να αντιμετωπίζει μια πληθώρα δυσκολιών. Αρκετές έρευνες σε διεθνές επίπεδο έχουν εστιάσει στην μελέτη της αποτελεσματικότητας της χρήσης της τεχνολογίας και της εξ΄ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης για την υποστήριξη των εκπαιδευτικών που διδάσκουν μαθητές με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες, ωστόσο ελάχιστες αντίστοιχες έρευνες έχουν πραγματοποιηθεί εξειδικευμένα για την ψυχοεκπαιδευτική υποστήριξη των εκπαιδευτικών που διδάσκουν μαθητές με μαθησιακές δυσκολίες καθώς φαίνεται ότι εξακολουθεί να υπάρχει ένα σημαντικό κενό κυρίως αναφορικά με υπηρεσίες για την υποστήριξη των εκπαιδευτικών που υποστηρίζουν μαθητές με μαθησιακές δυσκολίες έναντι άλλων δυσκολιών, όπως οι αισθητηριακές δυσκολίες.Στόχος της παρούσας έρευνας είναι να παρουσιάσει την εφαρμογή με τη χρήση των νέων τεχνολογιών και της εξ’ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης ενός μοντέλου ψυχοεκπαιδευτικών υπηρεσιών επιμόρφωσης καθοδήγησης και υποστήριξης, προσφερόμενων μέσω της τηλε-υποστήριξης χρησιμοποιώντας την ηλεκτρονική πλατφόρμα Cisco Webex με τεχνικές του coaching, προς τους ειδικούς παιδαγωγούς που υποστηρίζουν μαθητές με μαθησιακές δυσκολίες και να αξιολογήσει την αποτελεσματικότητα του προγράμματος. Το δείγμα της έρευνας αποτελούν τρεις ειδικοί παιδαγωγοί που εργάζονται σε τμήματα ένταξης. Για την συλλογή των ερευνητικών δεδομένων χρησιμοποιήθηκε ημιδομημένη συνέντευξη για την αίσθηση αυτοαποτελεσματικότητας των ειδικών παιδαγωγών.

Abstract: Various efforts have been made by the Government in collaboration with universities to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in the campus environment. Rector of Walisongo Islamic State University Semarang has also responded to the government's instruction, one of which is by implementing online learning. This research is a descriptive qualitative study that aims to obtain an overview of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Faculty of Da'wa and Communication. Data is collected through the Google Form. Data analysis was performed using interactive analysis techniques Miles & Huberman. The results showed that online learning made students feel more comfortable to ask questions and express their opinions compared to face-to-face lectures. The effectiveness of online learning was related to the availability of internet services and low-cost e-learning platforms. This is evidenced by the Whatsapp Group (WAG) platform that ranks first, followed by Line, Google Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom, then platforms other than this, and Webex ranks last. Abstrak: Berbagai usaha dilakukan Pemerintah bekerjasama dengan perguruan tinggi demi mengurangi penyebaran Covid-19 di lingkungan kampus. Rektor UIN Walisongo Semarang menanggapi himbauan Pemerintah, salah satunya dengan melaksanakan pembelajaran online. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran pembelajaran online masa pandemi Covid-19 di Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi,.Data dikumpulkan melalui aplikasi Google Form. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran online membuat mahasiswa merasa lebih nyaman untuk bertanya dan mengemukakan pendapatnya dibanding perkuliahan tatap muka, Efektivitas pembelajaran online berkaitan dengan ketersediaan layanan internet dan platform e-learning berbiaya rendah. Hal ini terbukti dengan platform Whatsapp Group (WAG) menempati urutan pertama diikuti Line, Google Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom, kemudian platform selain ini, dan Webex menempati urutan terakhir.

Les auteurs rendent compte de la façon dont les participants à un échange anglais-espagnol en tandem virtuel par vidéoconférence ont utilisé les possibilités offertes par la plateforme WebEx à titre de ressources multimodales en situation de négociation du sens. L’échange faisait intervenir cinq dyades d’étudiants universitaires ayant un niveau intermédiaire de compétence linguistique. Au total, sept tâches ont été réalisées dans chaque langue. L’analyse de la transcription de l’interaction a permis de dénombrer 915 épisodes mettant l’accent sur la forme (FFE — focus-on-form). Une analyse plus poussée des FFE a révélé que six types de ressources multimodales entraient en jeu au cours du processus de négociation : le clavardage, les images, l’ardoise blanche, la traduction électronique, la webcaméra et le dictionnaire papier. Parmi ces ressources, les plus fréquemment utilisées étaient le clavardage (comptant pour plus de la moitié de l’ensemble des FFE), les images et l’ardoise blanche. Bien que l’importance des ressources multimodales au cours de la négociation du sens ait été établie dans de précédentes études, les auteurs confirment ici la fréquence du recours à une combinaison de ressources, données statistiques à l’appui. À la différence des études précédentes, qui ont principalement porté sur Skype, la présente étude fait ressortir en quoi les possibilités accrues de la plateforme WebEx améliorent l’aptitude des participants à négocier le sens, particulièrement en ce qui se rapporte au clavardage, à la propriété du document partagé facilitant l’utilisation des images et à l’ardoise blanche pour les dessins. Bien que leur appréciation de la webcaméra ait été modérée pour ce qui a trait à l’apprentissage de la langue en soi, les participants en ont reconnu l’importance au niveau socioaffectif comme mécanisme permettant d’établir une présence sociale et de créer un lien avec leurs partenaires.

Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) has shifted the educational landscape for the past year. Face-to-face interaction has become a distant memory. It signals the emergence of digital landscape with the dependency on online distance learning (ODL) application such as Google Meet, WebEx, Zoom, and Microsoft Team. The dependencies on this software raise the issue of the willingness and user behavioral intention to use such application. Therefore, this study investigated the roles of self-efficacy and domain knowledge on the user behavioral intention to use ODL. A quantitative research methodology was adopted; instrument was adopted from previous study before following rigorous testing, pretest, pilot study, and actual data collection. Abstract Mindfulness meditation is a cognitive state of self-awareness that promotes emotional regulation and change in self-perspective. Mindfulness has been applied to address loneliness, stress, and anxiety, demonstrating consistent health benefits. The purpose of this study was to test the feasibility of an online mindfulness program and to measure its impact on well-being among lonely older adults. The intervention consisted of seven one-hour weekly online modules led by a trained facilitator via WebEx. Engagement was high with 63% of participants attending four or more sessions. Pre/post survey data (N=42) found decreased anxiety, stress, and improvement in mindfulness, purpose in life, and resilience. This program demonstrates that online mindfulness programs may be of great benefit for lonely older adults. Future research will include larger samples to investigate further impacts.

Sejak mewabahnya covid-19, berbagai platform komunikasi virtual semakin gencar digunakan. Salah satunya sebagai pengganti pembelajaran/ perkuliahan tatap muka pada mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini dikenal dengan pembelajaran daring/ online yang biasanya dilakukan melalui Zoom, Cisco Webex, Whatsapp Group (WAG), Google Meet, dll. Meskipun penggunaan platform komunikasi virtual ini dapat menunjang pembelajaran, pada suatu hari keberadaannya justru dapat membuat kelelahan di kalangan mahasiswa. Kondisi ini disebut dengan Zoom fatigue. Sementara itu, keberfungsian sosial pada setiap orang juga patut diperhitungkan dalam kondisi pandemi ini, apalagi jika mengalami Zoom fatigue. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini diarahkan untuk mengetahui bagaimana keberfungsian sosial mahasiswa setelah mengalami Zoom fatigue. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan, baik dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasarnya, menjalankan peran sosialnya, maupun dalam mengatasi permasalahannya.

O distanciamento social decorrente da pandemia de COVID-19 fortaleceu o processo já emergente das conexões virtuais entre as pessoas, trazendo implicações também para a condução de pesquisas. O objetivo deste estudo é apresentar as potencialidades e os desafios da realização de entrevistas online no contexto da pandemia de COVID-19. Trata-se de uma comunicação breve, fundamentada em revisão da literatura técnico-científica, que sumarizou as características gerais de entrevistas online, com destaque para as que ocorrem por meio de videoconferência. Foram consideradas plataformas que permitem a realização de entrevistas online (Google Meet, GoToMeeting, Skype, Webex, WhatsApp e Zoom), enfatizando aspectos que auxiliam na seleção de recursos alinhados às necessidades do estudo e ao perfil dos participantes. Considerações éticas e recomendações práticas também foram discutidas. Apesar dos desafios, as entrevistas online se mostram uma alternativa para a continuidade de pesquisas que já estavam em andamento, ou mesmo para a realização de novos estudos durante a pandemia de COVID-19.

Face-to-face have become a distant memory; students and educators are now heavily relying on the digital communication. Application such as Google Meet, Webex, Webinar, Stream Yard, Zoom, and many more have become the new norm among educators and students. However, the sudden dependency on the digital technologies raises a question on the user intention to use this new digital technology. Therefore, the objective of this study is to determine the role of self-efficacy and domain knowledge towards user behavioral intention to use online distance learning. An instrument was developed by adopting to previous instruments and was analyze using Statistical Package for Social Science and SmartPLS for inferential analysis. Findings shows that the exogenous variables are capable to explained between 47.8% to 68.1% of the endogenous variables.</span></p>

In the field of education, COVID-19 also drastically changes the learning model; All learning activities are carried out online, starting from elementary school to university level. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that describes online learning activities at the Helvetia Institute of Health after it has been determined that all learning activities are carried out at home using online mode. The subjects consisted of 4 students and 3 lecturers at the Helvetia Institute of Health. Data collection using interviews. Based on the results of interviews, online learning activities at the Helvetia Institute of Health have been effective by using the Zoom, Google Classroom, Schoology, Webex, E-Learning, WhatsApp, and Cloux applications. Obstacles in the implementation of online learning are the problem of internet connection and inadequate economy.

This study investigated how retired older adults (age 55+) use the Internet and social media tools to facilitate their informal, self-directed learning by creating and maintaining online personal learning networks (oPLNs). The research examined what information and communication technologies (ICT) participants included in their oPLNs and how they used these oPLNs to activate and self-direct their informal learning. Employing the web-conferencing tool WebEx, four online focus groups and four one-to-one audio interviews were conducted allowing for a total of 15 voluntary, geographically-dispersed participants from across Canada to synchronously interact and exchange their experiences and insights regarding their oPLNs. Using a thematic analysis method, the discussion transcripts generated were analyzed to examine learning contexts, strategies to manage learning, motivation to learn and achievement of learning goals, as well as to discover emergent themes. It was clear from our findings that oPLNs provided a virtual "learning community" that supported informal, self-directed learning via learner participation and interaction opportunities fostered by ICT-based tools and processes.

Kebijakan program Pusat Data dan Informasi (Pusdatin) Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) Republik Indonesia atas bantuan kuota internet gratis mendapat respon positif dari publik. Dari data survei menunjukkan sebanyak 84,7% publik menilai program bantuan internet gratis merupakan langkah tepat menjawab sense of crisis di tengah wabah corona (Covid-19). Sementara itu, sebanyak 85,6% publik menilai bahwa program bantuan internet gratis meringankan beban ekonomi orang tua pelajar atau mahasiswa dalam membeli paket internet. Bahkan, ada sebanyak 63,2% publik mengaku puas dengan kinerja Pusdatin Kemendikbud RI dalam menyalurkan bantuan kuota internet.Adapun platform belajar yang paling sering digunakan mulai dari platform Google Clasroom (26,1%), Ruangguru (17,1%) dan Rumah Belajar (15,2%) menempati posisi tiga besar. Untuk penggunaan media video call dalam pembelajaran daring, mayoritas publik menggunakan aplikasi Zoom (57,2%), disusul Google Meet (18,5%) dan Cisco Webex (8,3%). Masukan dari publik terkait kendala program kuota internet gratis diantaranya: memperbaiki signal internet tidak stabil (23,8%), askes internet yang terbatas (16,0%), pembagian bantuan harus lebih merata (13,3%), jumlah kuota internet minim/kecil (9,3%) serta perlunya pengawasan penggunaan (5,1%).

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced both quantitative and qualitative health researchers to adapt and strategize data collection strategies without causing any harm to the participants or researchers. This has resulted in utilizing various types of strategies such as online surveys and synchronous virtual platforms such as Zoom and Webex. This transition from face-to-face to synchronous online platforms has helped in increasing coverage as well as reaching participants who are otherwise unreachable. While quantitative health researchers seem to have made a seamless transition to synchronous online platforms, qualitative health researchers who rely on studying participants in their “real-world-settings” are facing unique challenges with online data collection strategies. This article critically examines the benefits and challenges of implementing qualitative health research studies via synchronous online platforms and provides several practical considerations that can inform qualitative health researchers. It can also assist Institutional Review Board members in reviewing and implementing qualitative health research study protocols in a manner that preserves the integrity, richness, and iterative nature of qualitative research methodology.

Abstract Objectives: to describe and discuss interventions and strategies carried out at Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde (FPS) during the COVID-19 pandemic to mitigate impairment in learning and preserve students, tutors, and staff’s health. Experience report: the teaching methodology used by FPS is problem-based learning, which greatly facilitated the non-discontinuity of theoretical activities carried out in-person in tutorial sessions involving a tutor and 10 to 12 students. This format was transferred to Webex Meetings rooms and held remotely. Practical laboratory activities were suspended and resumed when allowed in July. The teaching outpatient activities (third and fourth year) were suspended and resumed in August. Two years of internship were interrupted for 30 days (fifth year) and for 15 days (sixth year). External activities of practices in primary care were also suspended and resumed gradually. All assessments and activities that required face-to-face meetings, integrations, scientific initiation program orientations, collegiate meetings, meetings of the self-assessment committee were and are being carried out remotely. Conclusions: we believe that we were able to mitigate impairment in students' learning without compromising the conclusion of the school year that was facilitated by Problem Based Learning method.

This past week marked the one-year anniversary of my staff and me working from home. When we packed up our cubicles and offices in March 2020, no one expected to be working remotely from home for long. We honestly expected to return in a few weeks or at least by the end of April. In the meantime, the university kept extending our work-from-home agreements. During the past year, we have acquired new skills and ways of working. For example, we have mastered how to use WebEx and Zoom for meetings and have realized that this technology can make our meetings more effective. Although some people complain of Zoom fatigue, we have found that our meetings are shorter, and no one lingers afterward. We may start meetings with small talk, but when we are done, people are ready to sign off. Participants who may have difficulty speaking up can choose to use the chat box, and entering terms like “stack” in the chat box helps to ensure that everyone gets a chance to speak and in a predetermined order. It avoids having everyone try to speak at once and ensures all have a chance to speak.

Teachers have online teaching readiness with their own organizational capacities, motivation, and interactive capacities and use online teaching strategies to satisfy students' needs and desires. In fact, the study aimed to assess the effect of organizational capacity, motivation, or intervention capacity on online teaching readiness and satisfaction of students’ learning during COVID-19 broke out or future unforeseen circumstances. 90 teachers and 135 students participated in an online survey and responded the online teaching readiness questionnaire and e-learning satisfaction scale. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was performed to evaluate the online teaching readiness and online learning satisfaction models. A partial correlation matrix, CMIN, CFI, PCFI; NCP, FMIN, RMSEA, AIC, and ECVI was generated by the AMOS 21.0 program to calculate path coefficients and the overall model fit. The authors claimed that organizational capacity, motivation, and intervention capacity significantly relate to teachers' online teaching readiness. Various learning methods and tools are used both offline and online. Online learning is still limited and must adhere to strict health protocols. Meanwhile, online learning is a solution to this situation. Many online media can be used, for example, Google Classroom, WA group, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Google Duo, and others. This community service aims to help teachers improve their skills in using the Moodle application.. It’s currently considered the most fully-featured application for online (distance) learning. During the activation process, starting from the socialization process to training, the teachers were very interested in this activity, this was evidenced by the number of invited participants who all came. Participants attended the training from beginning to end, participants actively participated in the training and there were many questions and complaints submitted by the Teacher. After the training, participants implemented the use of the Moodle application in learning English online. Some teachers practice making teaching materials, online discussions, quizzes, and assignments while teaching, while asking questions and motivating students.

Beberapa flatform gratis yang sudah terbukti efektif dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran online secara klasikal diantaranya adalah Google Classroom dan Edmodo. Setidaknya ada 12 aplikasi gratis lainnya sebagai media dan sumber belajar online yang dapat dimanfaatkan di tengah pandemi Covid-19 yaitu Rumah Belajar, Meja Kita, Icando, Indonesia X, Google for Education, Kelas Pintar, Microsoft Office 365, Quipper School, Ruangguru, Sekolahmu, Zenius dan Cisco Webex. The project-based online learning system provides many opportunities to access teaching materials by learning citizens. Many online platforms and media can be accessed through the internet by teachers and students. Some of the free platforms that have been proven to be effective in managing online classically learning include Google Classroom and Edmodo. There are at least 12 other free applications as media and online learning resources that can be utilized during the Covid-19 pandemic. Those are Rumah Belajar, Meja Kita, Icando, Indonesia X, Google for Education, Smart Class, Microsoft Office 365, Quipper School, Ruangguru, Sekolahmu, Zenius, and Cisco Webex. Some things that become obstacles in the application of online learning include limited internet quota and the unfamiliar teaching staff and students in applying it. So that there is a need for more massive special efforts to overcome this problem, they were starting from each individual, family support, educational institutions, service providers, and government. One learning approach that can maximize online learning is project-based learning. A thematic analysis of the focus group transcripts revealed themes informing how oPLNs facilitated their informal learning goals and influenced participants’ personal valuing of their online activity. As a component of results from the larger research study (Morrison, Litchenwald, & Krystkowiak, 2020; Morrison, Litchewald, & Tang, 2020; Morrison & McCutcheon, 2019) , the findings presented, drawn from the online focus group qualitative data, indicated positive perceived valuing of their informal learning via their oPLNs as well as indications of favorable social and mental well-being outcomes. Interpretive speculation is provided regarding how these informal online learning experiences and oPLNs in particular, may point to a favorable impact on similar retired older adults’ personal, social, and mental well-being.

Abstract:
COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way of learning in higher education. Teaching, and learning activities that are usually carried out with face-to-face meetings have turned into virtual meetings in various online learning applications. This paper aims to analyze student essays in the form of perspectives or responses about the challenges of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper collected fifteen students as samples in the Fundamentals of Education I course who were actively involved in online learning activities. Online learning provides various instructions led by the lecturer. Instructions can be synchronous (communication where participants interact in the same time space as video conferencing, zoom, google meet, and WebEx) or asynchronous (time-separated communication such as e-mail, google form, streaming video content, posting lecture notes and social media platforms). This study used a qualitative approach. The researcher then collecting, reading and highlights each student's response that is considered relevant for analysis. This paper has shown so many responses about the challenges experienced by the students while studying online, such as, positive and negative impact of online learning, economic conditions, anxiety during online learning, government should think and planned, the risk of user data security, face-to-face class to online learning, ability, finding effective online learning media.
