Flow vectors stream in real time through a browser‑based map client built on an OGC‑compliant architecture that couples a two‑dimensional hydrodynamic solver with high‑resolution terrain and sewer data. LiDAR elevations and network layouts are discretised on a 1 m grid to simulate HQ design storms, generating time‑indexed rasters of water depth, velocity and inundation extent. These layers are published as tiled services, providing accurate pluvial‑flood metrics for rapid response and mitigation planning with minimal distribution overhead.

Digital pathology (DP) is being deployed in many pathology laboratories, but most reported experiences refer to public health facilities. In this paper, we report our experience in DP transition at a high-volume private laboratory, addressing the main challenges in DP implementation in a private practice setting and how to overcome these issues. We started our implementation in 2020 and we are currently scanning 100% of our histology cases. Pre-existing sample tracking infrastructure facilitated this process. We are currently using two high-capacity scanners (Aperio GT450DX) to digitize all hi

WebViews are a core component of today's in-app browsing technologies on mobile platforms, playing a central role in rendering web content like mobile advertisements. However, their use and potential to bridge web and mobile tracking paradigms comes at a significant privacy cost for users. Although prior work has highlighted privacy risks associated with WebViews, the real-world scale and privacy impact of their misuse and abuse remain unexplored due to the hybrid nature of WebViews-combining Java, native, and dynamically-loaded JavaScript (JS) code. The huge amount of useful data available on the Web has brought to the database comunity new challenges to develop techniques and tools for the manipulation of such data. Thus, the notion of view as a mechanism for providing access to data of interest, regardless of their structure, origin, and form of storage, has been revisited for the Web context. In this work, we present an environment composed of a set of high-level tools that allow the fetching, extraction, integration, and refreshing of Web data. Using this environment, database designers can build and maintain locally materialized Web

Abstract:
In the water and wastewater industries, corrosion protection typically prioritizes water mains and related components, often overlooking critical infrastructure such as sewage pump stations. However, it is crucial to ensure that the carbon steel walls of pump station dry wells receive adequate cathodic protection (CP) and meet the minimum -850mV CP criterion. Acknowledging this need, the Ottawa County Sanitary Engineering Department proactively implemented impressed current CP systems across its pump stations, aiming for optimal performance and long-term asset protection.
