Taenia solium es un céstodo zoonótico cuyo hospedero definitivo es el hombre. Las tenias que infectan al hombre son T. solium y T. saginata, ambas de distribución cosmopolita y causantes de teniosis en el humano. Los métodos convencionales usados para el diagnóstico de esta enfermedad son: la microscopía, que presenta una baja sensibilidad (38% a 78%), el coproantígeno (95.7%) y técnicas moleculares que utilizan DNA del parásito (100% especifica). Specifically, the aim of these studies was to explore the effect of learning an assay, the Hebb-Williams mazes, on the protein expression of PSD-95 in Fmr1 KO mice.
