The purpose of this study is to describe the mastery wiraga, wirama, and wirasa dancers, and how the application of mastery of musical feeling in studying dance and musical influence of feeling on the process of learning dance dance Zapin Melayu disanggar Tamora 88. The theory used in this research is the theory Musical Feeling (Carl.E.Seashore 1938: 2). This study aims to determine how the application of a person's sense of musicality while studying dance Zapin Melayu namely Tari Zapin dance disanggar Dedeng Missing Moon Tamora 88. The population in this study is the dance studio Tamora 88, of this population is taken Tamora 88 dancers from the studio. This research method is qualitative. Implementation of qualitative methods can not be separated in the data collection is done with obsesrvasi, literature, documentation. This study discusses the application of methods Musical Feeling in learning Malay Zapin dance at the dance studio dancers Tamora 88 to facilitate the mastery wiraga, wirama and wirasa. The results of this research is the mastery wiraga, wirasa, wirama dancers and the implementation of a method of musical feeling in learning dance Zapin Dedeng Missed the Moon by the dance studio Tamora 88, whose application greatly affect the quality of the dancers dance studio, especially in the sense of music appreciation and rote, both in the process of learning dance as well as the overall results of the dance. Abstract:

Amantadyna jest produktem leczniczym stosowanym w infekcjach wywołanych wirusem gry-py typu A. Charakteryzuje się podwójnym mechanizmem działania: hamuje replikację wirusa oraz blokuje proces jego wnikania do wnętrza komórek gospodarza. Aktualnie lek ten jest rzadko stosowany w terapii grypy ze względu na wysoką zmienność antygenową wirusa, do-stępność skuteczniejszych leków przeciwwirusowych oraz szczepienia profilaktyczne. Uwzględniając wirusostatyczny mechanizm działania, amantadynę przebadano in vitro pod kątem zdolności hamowania replikacji wirusa ludzkiego niedoboru odporności i przewlekłego zapalenia wątroby typu C. Uzyskane rezultaty nie były jednak zadowalające. Jedynie jej ace-tamidowa pochodna (tromantadyna) wykazywała oczekiwane właściwości i jest lekiem sku-tecznym wobec wirusów opryszczki oraz ospy wietrznej i półpaśca. Pandemia koronawirusa SARS CoV 2 przyczyniła się do ponownego wzrostu zainteresowa-nia amantadyną. Mając na względzie, iż lek ten jest inhibitorem kanału jonowego białka E stanowiącego wyznacznik wirulencji SARS CoV 1 oraz wysoki stopień homologii SARS CoV 1 i SARS CoV 2 podjęto próby wykorzystania amantadyny w terapii CO-VID 19. Obserwacje, jak również rezultaty eksperymentów in vitro, stanowią podstawę pro-wadzanych obecnie badań klinicznych. Skuteczność amantadyny w objawowym leczeniu choroby Parkinsona została odkryta przy-padkowo i do dziś lek ten jest powszechnie stosowany w terapii pacjentów cierpiących na tę chorobę neurodegeneracyjną, a także w łagodzeniu zespołów parkinsonowskich oraz pozapi-ramidowych działań niepożądanych neuroleptyków. Działanie farmakologiczne amantadyny na neuroprzekaźniki w ośrodkowym układzie nerwowym jest wyjątkowe, choć nie do końca wyjaśnione. Łączy ono w głównej mierze właściwości dopaminergiczne i glutaminergiczne, choć dotyczy także układu cholinergicznego, serotoninergicznego i noradrenergicznego. To właśnie agonistyczny wpływ amantadyny na receptory dopaminergiczne oraz modulacja funk-cji układu glutaminergicznego niesie ze sobą możliwość stosowania jej w leczeniu chorób psychicznych i neurologicznych oraz zapewnia neuroprotekcję. Wykorzystując wpływ amantadyny na neuroprzekaźnictwo w ośrodkowym układzie nerwo-wym lek ten (z różnym skutkiem) próbowano stosować poza wskazaniami rejestracyjnymi w łagodzeniu objawów wielu nieuleczalnych schorzeń. Niemniej jednak, potwierdzenie sku-teczności wymaga dalszych badań klinicznych.

Abstract:

Ziel dieses Beitrages ist es zu untersuchen, wie die Einführung neuer Technologien mit der Arbeitsintensität, der Autonomie und den monotonen Aufgaben von Beschäftigten zusammenhängt. Weiterhin wird untersucht, ob und inwieweit der empirisch gut dokumentierte Zusammenhang zwischen diesen Arbeitsbedingungen und dem Wohlbefinden der Beschäftigten durch die Einführung neuer Technologien moderiert wird. Die Analysen basieren auf der BIBB/BAuA-Erwerbstätigenbefragung 2006, 2012 und 2018, die es ermöglicht, zwischen neu eingeführten Computerprogrammen und neu eingeführten Fertigungs- oder Verfahrenstechnologien zu unterscheiden. OLS-Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass die Einführung neuer Technologien mit einer erhöhten Arbeitsintensität verbunden ist. Hinsichtlich der Autonomie und monotonen Tätigkeiten gibt es Unterschiede je nach Art der eingesetzten Technologie. Die Analysen zeigen ferner, dass die Einführung neuer Computerprogramme den Zusammenhang zwischen Arbeitsbedingungen und Arbeitsunzufriedenheit bzw. psychosomatischen Gesundheitsbeschwerden teilweise moderiert. Zusammenfassend zeigen die Ergebnisse, dass die Einführung neuer Technologien mit Chancen und Risiken sowohl für die Arbeitssituation als auch für das Wohlbefinden der Mitarbeiter verbunden ist und in den Aushandlungsprozessen der Sozialpartner stärker berücksichtigt werden sollten.

Abstract:

Bodo Muche (1939 Radeberg – 2017 Glenhowden/AU) Durch seinen wissenschaftlich engagierten Vater, den Entomologen Werner Heinz Muche, wurde bei ihm frühzeitig die Liebe zur Natur geweckt. Er nahm ihn mit zu gemeinsamen Erkundungen in der Heimat und förderte somit bei seinem Sohn die ein Leben lang anhaltende Faszination für die Schönheit jeglicher Lebewesen, die sich immer wieder in seinen späteren Bronzeplastiken widerspiegelte. Die Kleinstadt Radeberg wurde ihm beizeiten zu eng. In Berlin am Staatlichen Tierkundemuseum wurde er zum Präparator ausgebildet, weitere Studienrichtungen waren Zoologie, Anatomie, Kunstgeschichte und Design. 1958 verließ er die DDR, plante in der Schweiz seine wissenschaftliche Afrika-Reise, die ihn über Ostafrika und Tansania nach Betschuanaland (Botswana) führte. Über 17 Jahre arbeitete er in Studios in Tansania und Botswana, zunächst als Begleiter von Jagdsafaris und Präparator, später wandte er sich dem Naturschutz zu und der künstlerischen Gestaltung von Tierskulpturen, die er im Bronzegussverfahren/ Wachsausschmelzverfahren herstellte (Lost-wax casting). 1978 übersiedelte er mit seiner australischen Ehefrau Robyn nach Australien, gründete mit ihr in Glenhowden sein „Bodo Muche Foundry Studio“ und später ein zweites Studio in Los Angeles/USA. Er gehört weltweit mit zu den bekanntesten und gefragtesten Bronzegießern, der seine Skulpturen von „Minimal bis Maximal“ schuf, sogar berühmte Rennpferde in Lebensgröße für Auftraggeber in Sidney und den Oman.

Abstract:

Iron-oxide copper gold (IOCG) mineralisation is defined by an abundance of hematite and/or magnetite. The predominance of one Fe-oxide over the other and their textural relationships can, however, differ significantly within a single deposit or within the same metallogenic province, as a response to variations in the genetic conditions. Analysis of Fe-oxides, bridging scales of observation from deposit down to the nanoscale, highlights different formation conditions within deposits and prospects from the ~1.6 Ga Olympic Dam district, South Australia. In addition, Fe-oxides from the ~5.3-1.6 Ma El Laco Volcanic Complex (Chile), which are debated in terms of magmatic and/or hydrothermal origins, were analysed for comparison with those formed in IOCG systems. At Olympic Dam, a characteristic oscillatory-zoned hematite, containing up to wt% concentrations of U-W-Sn-Mo (‘granitophile’ elements), is the predominant Fe-oxide over the ~6 km-strike and ~2 km-depth of the breccia-hosted mineralisation. Complex textural and compositional zoning patterns within the hematite indicate overprinting and replacement of pre-existing minerals, including earlier hematite, during subsequent episodes of fluid-assisted brecciation and mineralisation. A diverse range of features at the micron- to nanoscale indicates that pseudomorphic replacement of hematite occurred via coupled dissolution and reprecipitation reactions leading to grain-scale (re)mobilisation of minor/trace elements. Primary geochemical signatures are nevertheless partially or selectively preserved. This allows the use of hematite as a reliable U-Pb geochronometer. Mineralogical-geochemical study of Fe-oxides from the outer shell, a weakly-mineralised domain between the host granite and the Olympic Dam orebody, allows for re-interpretation of deposit formation. Iron-oxide assemblages comprise oscillatory-zoned, silician magnetite, high field strength element-bearing hematite, and various interconversion products between the two oxides. Formation of such assemblages is associated with early alkali-calcic alteration (calc-silicate inclusions in silician magnetite), breakdown of magmatic Fe-Ti-oxides, and replacement of igneous magnetite by silician magnetite. Geochemical modelling at 400 °C suggests magnetite-replacement at pH/fO₂ conditions that coincide with stability shifts of K-feldspar → sericite, and ilmenite → rutile. Outer shell formation was initiated at the depth of granite emplacement (~6-8 km), following volatile release from fluids ponding at intrusion margins. Mineralisation continued during uplift to shallower depth, with cupola collapse following extensive fluid release that facilitated brecciation and orebody formation. Nanoscale analysis of Fe-oxides by scanning transmission electron microscopy using Z-contrast imaging and mapping provides further insights into ore-forming processes. Fingerprinting of fluid-mineral interactions during subsequent overprint of U-W-Sn-Mo-bearing hematite show that twins provide pathways for fluid percolation and trap elements exchanged during cycles of coupled dissolution-reprecipitation. Metal nanoparticles (NP) are also trapped within pores developed during transient porosity, which can be hosted by fluid inclusions. Unusual Cu-As-zoning at the micron-scale correlates with Cu-(As)-NPs along fluid inclusion trails and Si-Al-K-bearing twin planes linking such metal enrichment to hydrolytic alteration. W-Pb-enrichment occurs along 2-3 nm-wide twin crests and as W-(Pb)-bearing NPs in hematite displaying ‘granitophile element’-signature with preferential removal of W and preservation of Sn, as shown by grain-scale element patterns. A two-fold superstructure model with oxygen vacancies is constructed to explain W-release from hematite. Nanoscale features observed in relation to twins also allow prediction of disturbances to the U/Pb-systematics of hematite with implications for geochronology. Nanomineral inclusions in magnetite are valuable petrogenetic indicators that can clarify ore-forming processes. At Acropolis, vein titanomagnetite, within ~1.6 Ga volcanic rocks, features nanoscale inclusions with ulvöspinel-hercynite pairs and ilmenite-trellis exsolutions followed by subsequent overprinting (rutile replacement of Ti-phases). Spinel-group associations and ilmenite/magnetite oxythermobarometry supports hydrothermal-magnetite formation at ≥500 °C. Silician magnetite from Wirrda Well hosts nanoinclusions of the rare Al-amphibole, tschermakite. Considering the metamorphism of the host ~1.85 Ma granite, the presence of tschermakite could represents a metamorphic phase that crystallised prior to IOCG-style mineralisation. In contrast, magnetite from Fe-ores at El Laco contains nm-scale inclusions of paired clinopyroxenes (augite-pigeonite/clinoenstatite) with intergrowths indicative of rapid growth and exsolution at low pressures/high temperatures, typical of crystallisation from melts. Sulfur-bearing coatings on comparable but finer-grained pyroxene-bearing magnetite are indicative of ‘magnetite flotation’ via attachment to bubbles of vapour+fluid, allowing transport from a deep magma reservoir to surface. Iron-oxides show remarkable variation in compositional signatures and nanoscale heterogeneity. Detailed petrographic, geochemical and mineralogical analysis of Fe-oxides represents a rich and often untapped source of information that can assist in constraining ore formation conditions and contribute to improved genetic models.

Abstract The recent industry downturn has forced operators and contractors to re-think and look at different ways to reduce costs while improving the complete well delivery process. Compounding challenges are longer reservoir sections with more complex well trajectories and tighter geological constraints. These complex drilling challenges have been successfully completed in the past, thru use of high-speed Wired Drill Pipe (WDP) telemetry (Schils et al. 2016; Teelken et al. 2016), where the WDP telemetry enabled bi-directional high-speed data transmission to and from downhole tools at speeds up to 57,600 bps (Olberg et al.2008). Whilst the use of WDP telemetry within the ‘drilling phase’ of the well delivery process has become more accepted and implemented globally, providing improved performance and wellbore placement, the use of WDP during the ‘completions phase’ has never been attempted. That is, till today. This paper focuses on the use of WDP during the ‘completion phase’, discussing the first ever application of the battery operated Remotely Operated Completion System (ROCS) on WDP, used offshore North Sea, for umbilical-less Tubing Hanger installation. The ROCS consists of redundant controls architecture and pumps to operate the electrical and hydraulic functions and read gauges. Thru use of the highspeed WDP telemetry, the ROCS is controlled in real-time from topside to operate the Tubing Hanger Running Tool (THRT), Tubing Hanger (TH), downhole functions and downhole gauges, eliminating the need for the traditional umbilical deployed within the Marine Riser. The WDP operated ROCS allows for a simplified system mobilization and operation, reducing total number of rig days and costs significantly. The main advantages that will be discussed and shown include: Eliminating the Electro-Hydraulic umbilical and handling equipment (costly associated equipment) Reduces personnel in red zone (umbilical-less: no clamping) Reduces/Eliminates rig interfaces, (such as Workover Control System (WOCS) container reducing the deck space demand, increasing rig flexibility) Ready to Run (ROCS including THOJ/THRT (Tubing Hanger Orientation Joint/Tubing Hanger Running Tool) tested and mobilized already connected to the TH Significantly reduces risk of Waiting on Weather Real-time readings local to tool, (accurate volumes and pressures, no umbilical influence) The system has been used for horizontal and vertical completions and can operate different running tools, offering field proven benefits for the industry.

Abstract Well construction activities including liners and lower completions deployment have historically realized downtime and unforeseen challenges. Surface data, torque and drag simulations, and previous experience are all sources of data commonly used to plan and facilitate these installations. Field development campaigns often include longer laterals, frequent three-dimensional bends, varying pressure profiles, and other challenges that cannot be sufficiently planned for by using surface data, torque and drag simulations, and experience alone. The industry requires a better quality set of data, and quicker access to this data, to more successfully and efficiently complete wells. Wired drill pipe is a real-time data acquisition platform that has been used on more than 146 wells, 65 of those offshore wells, since 2015. While improved drilling operations have been the primary use of the wired drill pipe platform, operators have since challenged providers to increase the scope of real-time data acquisition capabilities using the wired drill pipe platform. In order to address the challenges of understanding downhole dynamics during liner deployment and completion operations, a dynamic logging tool with real-time data transfer capability and restriction-less internal bore was developed. The dynamic logging tool couples the data acquisition capabilities of the memory-based dynamic logging tool with the wired drill pipe platform to provide operators with real-time access to axial loads, torque, temperature, pressures, vibrations, and RPM during the lower completion and liner deployment operations. The data provided by the inclusion of this tool can be used to facilitate the optimization and continuous improvement of liner deployment operations. This in turn allows operators to minimize non-productive time (NPT) and overcome a steep learning curve for challenging field development campaigns. This paper discusses the real-time logging tool technology implementation and its role in development campaigns. Examples of lower completion applications and data gathering techniques are presented, along with examples of how the data can be used to improve understanding of downhole dynamics, facilitate continuous operational improvements, and ultimately achieve a robust field development strategy.

Abstract Microstructures and properties of electrical arc sprayed cored-wired coatings were investigated and compared in this work. Three types of cored-wired studied were WC-Ni, WC-Fe and nano WC-Fe The as-received cored-wire were characterized prior to be sprayed. In-flight particles were collected during spraying in order to reveal particle morphology and size distribution forming splats. Size distribution analysis of the filler particles showed that nanostructured WC-Fe had a comparable mean filler particle size with that of the WC-Fe and were larger than that of the WC-Ni. The difference in filler particle size of starting cored-wire was well correlated with the in-flight particle size produced. Nano WC-Fe cored wire coating had the lowest porosity and roughness compared to others with a comparable hardness to WC-Ni cored wire coating with rather different coating microstructures.

Abstract Maximizing reservoir contact through extended-reach and mega-reach wells has become a prevalent field development strategy for major offshore operators in the Middle East. This is especially true for the giant oilfield "A", where drilling targets go beyond 40,000 ft. measured depth (MD), with MD/TVD ratios in excess of 4.5:1. Such challenging horizons call for a detailed re-evaluation of well interventions. In 2019, the well surveillance program in the field A required intervention in a mega-reach well with a MD over 35,500 ft. and 4.5:1 MD/TVD ratio. This reach was unthinkable only a few years ago but has been made possible thanks to several recent key technological advancements, such as coiled tubing (CT) equipped with optical fiber and new CT hydraulic tractors, proactive and detailed planning during the drilling phase, the development of highly engineered CT string designs, surface equipment upgrades, and accurate software modeling. The target well is an oil producer with horizontal section beyond 23,000 ft., completed with 6 5/8-in. pre-perforated liner and 23 swellable packers placed across the 8 1/2-in. open hole section. A multiphase production logging tool was selected to assess the production profile along its horizontal drain. With a target depth beyond the reach of conventional wireline, CT equipped with optical fiber emerged as the optimum solution to facilitate reach and overcome the weight and pumping limitations of wired CT. A comprehensive CT reach modeling exercise compared the performance of several 2-in. and 2 3/8-in. CT string designs and identified operational requirements and reach gains from CT hydraulic tractors. As a result, an engineered 2-in. CT tapered string of near 36,700 ft. was developed, capable of being equipped with optical fiber line, while delivering the required flow rate and differential pressure to the CT hydraulic tractor without compromising any operational safety margin. At the time of manufacturing, this was considered the longest CT string ever produced and fitted for downhole telemetry. The operation itself set new records for well interventions in mega-reach wells, with a CT reach above 35,500 ft. MD, including a hydraulic tractoring footage over 15,650 ft. MD with spaced slugs of chemical friction reducer. This case study explains how to develop a safe, robust, and effective solution to mega-reach well challenges using the CT-conveyed optical fiber telemetry technology in one of the deepest wells in the field A, setting a new global record in CT reach. The lessons learned are now the reference for other operators in the Middle East and across the globe for performing interventions in wells that continue to be stretched in its extended reach. It also depicts why telemetry through optical fiber is key to the success of such projects and provides an overview of technology needs for the future of mega-reach well developments.

Die Natur des Designs ist formgebend und in die Welt hinein entwerfend. Dass das Ergebnis des Designprozesses aber auch formnehmend oder verwerfend sein kann, wird kaum in Betracht gezogen. Abstract Over the last few years, multiple wells have been drilled in the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) and the United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS) using wired drill pipe (WDP). This paper captures highlights from using real-time downhole measurements provided by WDP, for improved drilling operations. It presents learnings on how WDP measurements have been used in the operator's decision process. As part of WDP, along-string measurement subs (ASM) are equipped with temperature, annular/internal pressure, rotation and vibrations sensors. Data is transmitted to surface at high speed and is available in real-time, even when flow is off. The data provide great insight into the hole conditions along the drill string and at the bottom hole assembly (BHA). Based on this insight, drilling parameters at surface can be accurately adjusted, resulting in increased overall efficiency. Large data amounts can be communicated to and from surface with negligible time delay and independent from fluid circulation. Displaying the downhole measurements in real-time, both at the rig site and in remote operations centers has proven essential when optimising well construction activities. All parties need to access the same information in real-time. Moreover, the data need to be presented in an intuitive manner that enable improved operational decisions. To maximize WDP values, the Operator has learned that downhole data must be used to adjust drilling operations in real-time.

Abstract:

Ziel der vorliegenden Studie war es, eine Typologie von RadfahrerInnen in Deutschland zu erarbeiten und diese zu beschreiben. Zu diesem Zweck wurde auf Basis einer umfassenden Literaturrecherche eine groß angelegte Online-Befragung vom 20.11.2017 bis 07.01.2018 durchgeführt. Insgesamt wurden dabei 10.294 auswertbare Datensätze gewonnen. Durch Hauptkomponenten- und Faktorenanalyse wurden neun Faktoren (symbolische Motive, affektive Motive, instrumentelle Motive, subjektive Sicherheit, Identifikation als RadfahrerIn, zeitliche Distanz, Nutzungshäufigkeit, Wetter/Komfort und Regeltreue) extrahiert, die anschließend zur Clusterung der RadfahrerInnen genutzt wurden. Mit Hilfe dieser Faktoren ließen sich vier Typen von RadfahrerInnen identifizieren: passionierter, pragmatischer, funktioneller und ambitionierter Radfahrtyp. Die Typen unterscheiden sich dabei sowohl hinsichtlich der Typologisierungsfaktoren als auch bezüglich infrastruktureller Präferenzen, Unfallhistorie und der Radfahrhäufigkeit für bestimmte Wegezwecke. Die Einbeziehung motivationaler Faktoren erbrachte wichtige Einblicke in die Eigenschaften von RadfahrerInnen. Für den passionierten Radfahrtyp spielen sowohl Faktoren, wie die soziale Anerkennung bzw. Identifikation mit dem Umfeld, die Freude am Fahren als auch Faktoren wie Flexibilität oder Umweltschutz eine wichtige Rolle. Der Pragmatische wird dagegen v.a. instrumentell motiviert, d.h. das Rad wird genutzt, weil es flexibel ist, gut für die eigene Fitness und man damit schnell vorankommt. Insgesamt am wenigsten zum Radfahren motiviert ist der/die funktionelle RadfahrerIn. Für diesen Typ stehen z.B. ökonomische Gründe bei der Radnutzung im Vordergrund und das Fahrrad wird eher als „Mittel zum Zweck“ gesehen. Der Spaß am Fahren sowie die Zugehörigkeit zu oder das Kennenlernen von Personen sind für die ambitionierten RadfahrerInnen Hauptmotive für die Radnutzung. Aus den Kenntnissen der Eigenschaften der vier Radfahrtypen lassen sich u.a. Implikationen für die Radverkehrsförderung ableiten. So könnten z.B. Kampagnen vermitteln, dass das Fahrrad mehr sein kann als nur „Mittel zum Zweck“, um funktionelle und pragmatische Typen zu einer (Mehr-) Nutzung zu ermutigen. Die Arbeit schließt mit einem Ausblick auf Teil 2 des Projektes, bei dem die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse über die Radfahrtypen mit realem Fahrverhalten verknüpft wurden.

Die vorliegende Arbeit wurde im Zeitraum August bis November 2009 erstellt und befasst sich mit den Auswirkungen des Patentrechtes auf die Ernährungssicherheit in Entwicklungsländern am Beispiel von gentechnisch verändertem Saatgut. Die Thematik der Biopatentierung hat seit der Erstellung dieser Arbeit an Bedeutung gewonnen nicht zuletzt durch die im Dezember ergangene Vorentscheidung zum „Brokkoli“-Patent1 der großen Beschwerdekammer des Europäischen Patentamtes (EPA). Es wurde festgelegt, dass Patente auf „im wesentliche(n) biologischen Verfahren“ (Art. 2a PatG/ Art. 53b EPÜ) nicht zulässig sind. Auch die Verwendung von technischen Verfahrensschritten - in diesem Fall markergestützte Selektion – führt nicht zu einem Patent. Bezugnehmend auf die eingangs gestellte Frage, inwiefern Patente auf Saatgut die Ernährungssicherheit bedrohen, ist festzustellen, dass die Patentierung des Saatgutes nicht im direkten Zusammenhang mit der Ernährungssicherheit steht. Jedoch hat die Patentierung von Saatgut den Anbau landwirtschaftlicher Nutzpflanzen in Monokulturen zu folge, weil Bauern – aufgrund der durch Lizenzgebühren verursachten hohen Kosten – nur noch bestimmte Sorten anbauen und die Sortenwahl durch die Unternehmen vorgegeben wird. Die Folgen der Monokulturen liegen besonders unter dem Aspekt der genetischen Verarmung, also der Abnahme der biologischen Vielfalt, in der Gefährdung der Ernährungssicherheit und der finanziellen Abhängigkeit der Bauern von den Saatgutunternehmen. Dabei ist auf lange Sicht auch die Ernährungssicherheit in den Industrieländern gefährdet, denn auch deren Volkswirtschaften und insbesondere deren Nahrungs- und Futterindustrie sind abhängig von der biologischen Vielfalt des Südens.

Abstract:

Die Darmstädter Städteforschung nimmt nicht den Blickwinkel ein, dass die Stadt ausschließlich eine Schaubühne allgemeiner gesellschaftlicher Prozesse sei, die aufgrund ihrer Verdichtung in der Stadt hier besonders augenfällig und besser zu analysieren seien, sondern stellt das Charakteristische einzelner Städte, ihre Individualität in den Mittelpunkt ihrer Untersuchungen (s. z.B. Berking/Löw 2008). Daraus könnte in einer weiteren Phase eine Systematik von Städte- ‚Charakteren‘ entstehen. Die aus Innen- wie Außensicht evidenten Differenzen zwischen Städten gehen zurück auf vielfältige lokal vorfindbare Prägungen materieller, sozialer und kultureller Art. Sie manifestieren sich im äußeren Erscheinungsbild, aber auch in Kultur und Mentalität der jeweiligen Stadt. „Städtische Eigenlogik bezeichnet die dauerhaften Dispositionen, die an die Sozialität und Materialität von Städten gebunden sind, und konstituiert sich in einem relationalen System globaler, lokaler und nationaler Bezüge“ (Löw 2008a: 49). Das Konzept zielt also auf die Frage, wie eine Stadt „tickt“, wie sie sich in ihren Wahrnehmungs- und Handlungsmustern von einer anderen Stadt unterscheidet (s.a. FGB 2010). Für die beteiligten Forscher stellt sich die Frage, wie die eigensinnige, lokal spezifische Wirklichkeit dieser Stadt im Unterschied zu jener Stadt theoretisch und empirisch erfasst werden kann. Als grundlegender Untersuchungsschritt bietet sich der Städtevergleich an, weil Unterschiede zwischen Städten hier am klarsten sichtbar und damit für die wissenschaftliche Erforschung operationalisierbar werden. „Das Eigene der Städte entwickelt sich sowohl aufgrund historisch motivierter Erzählungen und Erfahrungen als auch im relationalen Vergleich zu formgleichen Gebilden, das heißt zu anderen Städten. Städtische Eigenlogik betont sowohl die eigensinnige Entwicklung einer Stadt als auch deren daraus resultierende kreative Kraft der Strukturierung von Praxis“ (LÖW 2008a: 43). Die Logik einer Stadt wird also in anderen Städten mitgeformt, sie ist ein „ortsbezogener Prozess, der nicht nur an einem Ort stattfindet“ (Löw 2008b: 100) und erfordert daher ein komparatives Forschungsdesign, da das Eigene nur in der Differenz erkannt werden kann (Frank 2010: 14f)“FGB 2010.
