Repressive politics of the Soviet Union is examined rather well by Russian and Lithuanian researchers. Many of the most important archive documents and research works on the repressions against Lithuanian people are published. Few, however, know of the deportation from Lithuania to Tadjikistan persons of German ancestry at the end of Second World War. Only one book of 70 pages in 1992 and some articles in the newspapers have been published about deportation of this national minority of Lithuania. In this article the attempt have made to define the criteria of selection and other circumstances

Especially changes in the physical environment require administrative and political decisions. This study aims to identify determinants that influence decision-makers from local politics and administrations on decisions so that health promotion can be placed on the agenda of communities as a prerequisite of intervention implementation. The original idea was to examine how the damaging roots of nationalism have been corroding political systems around the world, and creating dangerous obstacles for necessary international cooperation. Since I (Bruce E. Johansen) has written profusely about climate change (global warming, a.k.a. infrared forcing), I suggested a concerted effort in that direction. Each of the book’s thirty chapters introduces a prominent work by a different female author writing in French during the period, from Germaine de Staël to George Sand, from the admired salon libertine Marie du Deffand to Flora Tristan, tireless campaig

Abstract For women in the revolutionary years, the ambiguities of change were acute. The war’s end brought the first breakthrough of female enfranchisement. Before 1914, women voted in only Finland (1906) and Norway (1913), but by 1918 they shared in Europe’s democratization. First in Russia, then in the central European revolutions of Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Poland, and Germany, and finally in Ireland (1922), the new states included women as voting citizens, as did the liberal polities of the north—Denmark and Iceland (1915), Sweden (1918), Britain (1918), Luxemburg (1919), and the
