Abstract:
In the interiors of ancient Huizhou buildings in China, a profusion of wood carvings are employed for decoration, with traditional research interpreting their function from decorative and aesthetic perspectives. However, this research suggests that the role of Huizhou wood carvings in interior spaces surpasses mere decoration; they enhance the expression and experience of spatial concepts through narrative imagery. By analyzing the mechanism and intrinsic logic behind the spatial concepts formed in Huizhou residential buildings, this study investigates how wood-carving imagery contributes to shaping spatial concepts through narrative techniques, as well as their creativity and expressiveness in architectural design. Utilizing literature reviews, field surveys for case selection, and case analysis methods combined with observation, interviews, and measurements, this research ultimately employs image analysis to interpret the narrative structures and styles of wood-carving imagery in detail. This study reveals that (1) the spatial concepts of Huizhou residential buildings are influenced by traditional thought, social culture, and other factors, leading to an interweaving of material, cultural, and social spaces that results in a spatial concept characterized by harmony between heaven and humanity, clear hierarchy, and orderliness; (2) Huizhou wood-carvings, through their narrative images, actively engage in the production of spatial concepts, employing thematic juxtaposition narrative modes and utilizing singular-scene narration, composite-scene narration, and cyclical narration to articulate these concepts. These findings significantly deepen our comprehension of the relationship between the spatial concepts of Huizhou’s traditional residential architecture and social culture. By integrating cultural elements with spatial production theory, this research addresses the limitations of existing studies and augments their theoretical interpretative power. Additionally, clarifying the connection between the cultural elements of wood-carving imagery and the formation of spatial concepts offers a novel perspective on the study of Huizhou wood carvings, moving beyond their longstanding categorization as purely decorative elements.

International Journal of Molecular Sciences 23, no. 24 (December 12, 2022): 15735. http://dx.doi.org/10.3390/ijms232415735.

Abstract:
Wood dyeing is an effective way to alleviate the supply-demand imbalance of valuable wood and improve the surface decoration of fast-growing wood. However, applications of dyed wood are limited due to the susceptibility of dyes and wood to photo-discolor and degrade under light irradiation. Thus, the improved weather resistance of dyed wood is crucial. To prevent photochromic discoloration of dyed wood, an anti-photochromic coating structure was constructed via layer-by-layer self-assembly (LbL) using chitosan and zinc oxide (ZnO). The results showed that the surface color difference of treated dyed wood was reduced by approximately 84.6% after the first 2 h of irradiation under the following conditions °C: temperature (50 °C), relative humidity (55%), and irradiation intensity (550 W/m2). However, the color of untreated dyed wood drastically changed at this stage. The reason for the decrease was that the redness and yellowness of treated dye wood were significantly reduced. The deposition of ZnO onto treated dyed wood helped to protect the wood from UV light irradiation. Chitosan bridged the dyes and complexed ZnO to enhance UV resistance. This study provides valuable information for the protection of dyed wood against light discoloration that can be used as an interior and exterior decorative material.

Abstract:
Some negative attributes of wood material have numerous practical consequences. The most important of these attributes is that wood, as a hygroscopic material, is dependent on the relative humidity of its environment. The hygroscopic nature of wood material can lead to serious problems when used in doors, windows, and interior or exterior decoration materials. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect on wood materials equilibrium moisture due to different climates in selected provinces in Turkey. This study examined pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and oak (Quercus rubra L.) woods, both of which are commonly used in industry. Over 12 months, the equilibrium moisture value of these wood was determined in the Bursa, Antalya, İzmir, Malatya, Trabzon, Karabük, Van, and Kars provinces of Turkey. Pine and oak samples, prepared per standards TS 2471 (1976) and TS 2472 (1976), were taken from these provinces each month, and the equilibrium moisture values were determined. It was observed that the use of Scotch pine wood samples for both indoor and outdoor use was more appropriate over the 12-month period. Malatya was the province in which the Scotch pine samples were the least affected. It was also determined that Van was the most suitable province for the interior use of oak wood material. It was not found that indoor use gave better results than outdoor use.

Abstract:
Statement of the problem. An increase in the range of production of products and structures based on gypsum binders with the addition of various fillers that improve some of the technological properties of the resulting composites is a promising direction in building materials science. The paper proposes the development of a technology for creating decorative slabs for interior decoration, reinforced with sawdust. Taking into account the increased requirements for thermal protection of buildings (SNiP 23-02-03), the issue of reducing the average density and increasing the thermal resistance of heat-shielding (heat-insulating and wall) for interior decoration is relevant. A decrease in density can be achieved, for example, by porousizing a gypsum product, but this requires carbonates and solutions of acids or salts with the formation of a porous agent in the form of CO2, which is not economically and environmentally friendly enough, so it was decided to introduce pine sawdust into the gypsum composite for decorative boards. In this case, it is necessary to conduct an experiment to identify the effect of adding sawdust on the fire safety of the composite as a whole. Results. In the course of the work, the results of a differential thermal analysis of a gypsum matrix with the addition of sawdust were obtained. It has been established that at an increase above 490 °C, sawdust filler is completely subject to destruction with the formation of coke residue and slight pore formation due to weight loss (judging by the thermogravimetric curve) due to the release of volatile substances, and only CaSO4 inversion occurs near the gypsum part. Conclusions. Thus, when studying the effect of thermal action on the structure and properties of materials by differential scanning calorimetry, it was revealed that exo- and endothermic processes, characteristic of both wood materials and gypsum, are superimposed during kinetic changes. Therefore, a fire hazard does not occur.

Abstract:
Solid wood floors are widely used as an interior decoration material, and the color of solid wood surfaces plays a decisive role in the final decoration effect. Therefore, the color classification of solid wood floors is the final and most important step before laying. However, research on floor classification usually focuses on recognizing complex and diverse features but ignores execution speed, which causes common methods to not meet the requirements of online classification in practical production. In this paper, a new online classification method of solid wood floors was proposed by combining probability theory and machine learning. Firstly, a probability-based feature extraction method (stochastic sampling feature extractor) was developed to obtain rapid key features regardless of the disturbance of wood grain. The stochastic features were determined by a genetic algorithm. Then, an extreme learning machine—as a fast classification neural network—was selected and trained with the selected stochastic features to classify solid wood floors. Several experiments were carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, and the results showed that the proposed method achieved a classification accuracy of 97.78% and less than 1 ms for each solid wood floor. The proposed method has advantages including a high execution speed, great accuracy, and flexible adaptability. Overall, it is suitable for online industry production.

With the spread of the coronavirus, people are spending less time outside and more time working and studying online. As a result, the soundscape of the residential environment is becoming more important. In this study, we will identify the tendencies of people in Japan and China to evaluate the sound of their living environment. Based on the data collected from the questionnaire, portfolios will be created. The portfolios will allow us to compare differences in evaluation tendencies across multiple cultures. The survey for both China and Japan was carried out by online questionnaire. The questionees were 81 Japanese and 32 Chinese. As a result, the impact sound, such as the sound of opening and closing windows and doors, interior decoration, and moving furniture, is rated worse by Chinese people than by Japanese people. This may be due to differences in the choice of interior materials and the structure and type of housing. According to the data, 87.5 % of people in China live in houses made of reinforced concrete, while Japanese houses are mostly made of wood (58.9 %). At the same time, the material used for flooring in China is mostly tile, while in Japan it is mostly wood.

Abstract:
Guided by the principles of visual perception and basic design, this research was conducted to examine users’ preferences on how they perceive natural unique wood phenomena of Pedunculate Slavonian Oak veneers (Quercus robur L.) such as color changes, wood rays, sapwood, and knots, which in the production and technical sense represent defects and wood residue, but could be used in the design of sustainable and ecological wall decorations. The goal was to detect samples with the most positive attributes and to observe their connection with activities and functional space if they are viewed as wall coverings in the interior. The results confirm that discoloration and wood rays are considered the most harmonious (“prettiest”) decors. Discoloration is associated with quiet cognitive or medium-intensity activity that can be used in libraries, hotel rooms, and classrooms. Wood rays are connected with very quiet activity in ambulance waiting rooms or religious buildings and museums. Knot decors are considered the most natural and are recommended for interiors with very or medium-intensive activities such as restaurants, cafes, and hotel receptions, but attention should be paid to the way the wall decors are arranged on the walls. Sapwood–hardwood decors are the subject of further research and improvement concerning the relationship between the dark and light parts of the veneer. In conclusion, the results provide useful guidelines for manufacturers with a large veneer residue in production and who want to design decorative wall panels, as well as for designers and architects designing interiors for a specific purpose and function where certain user behavior and psychological stimulation are desired.

Abstract:
Background/Objectives: In this study, we compared and analyzed the dye ability of oak-patterned materials with acid dyes, and evaluated their performance as interior materials. Use of processed timber can help reduce environmental damage and the economic burden of resources (important problems with use of raw timber) and can meet the needs of various fields where the sensibility of raw timber is required. Veneer wood is positioned as a high-value-added product due to its luxury and beauty, and it is used in various fields as a building-related material, such as interior decoration, furniture, flooring, building interior materials, and lumber. Dyeing is necessary to enhance the aesthetic appearance of this pattern and to expand its use. Methods: As the wood used in the experiment, American red oak, which has marketability in the market, was selected. The spectral reflectance of each wavelength band was measured using spectrophotometer to evaluate the apparent concentration and dyeability of the dyed and fixed samples. Durability was evaluated by measuring rubbing and light fastness. Results: The oak pattern was dyed with 3 types of acid dyes and a comparative analysis was performed. The most suitable conditions are 95℃, 3 hours, and 3% o.w.f. In addition, evaluating resilience to daylight fastness, resilience to rubbing, fire resistance, and flame retardance, yielded results suitable for use as an interior material. Conclusion/Implications: It was confirmed that veneer can be dyed with acid dyes and used. It is hoped that this study will be used as basic data for dyeing veneer with acid dyes and synthetic dyes in the future. The results of this research are expected to contribute as basic data for the dyeing process of synthetic dyes.

For the application of WPCs in interior decoration and other high–value fields, it is necessary to preserve these characteristics whilst enhancing their mechanical properties and surface aesthetics. In this study, we used a sandwich structure and four interface modifiers to prepare wood veneer/wood flour–polyvinyl chloride composites (WWPVCs). The results revealed that the WWPVCs treated with a silane coupling agent exhibited superior interfacial bonding and mechanical properties compared to those obtained using other interface modifiers. The interfacial bonding strength of the treated sample reached 1.22 MPa, which was 122% higher than that of the untreated sample. In addition, the wood failure ratio of the optimal sample reached 80%. Furthermore, the dipping–peeling length was found to be shorter than those achieved using other interface modifiers after tests at 63 and 100 °C, indicating that the material treated using the silane coupling agent exhibits an excellent resistance to moisture and heat. Notably, silane coupling agents are easily prepared as solvent–based modifiers, and they do not release harmful gases (e.g., formaldehyde), thereby rendering them highly effective in the preparation of environmentally friendly WPC products.

It's ideal for residential projects, hotel projects, offices giving to the any interior a unique look and feel. In addition, veneer is also processed to create a variety of products such as veneer parquet, flexible veneer sheets, wood veneer boards, wood veneer wallpaper, etc. From the other side, veneered surfaces will always to a greater or lesser degree could change color, particular upon exposure to natural and artificial light. The degree of color change will depend on such factors as the species chosen, the coating type used and intensity and period of the exposure to light. In addition, conventional finishes have a tendency to yellow with age which can have quite dramatic effects on the original color of the selected timber. To minimize these effects new finishes have to be developed. In the paper new, unvisible nanolevel coating for veneer finish based on the sol-gel process is offered. It is known that the sol–gel technique is an established industrial process for the generation of colloidal nanoparticles from liquid phase, which has been further developed in last years for the production of advanced coatings. It is well adapted for oxide nanoparticles and composites synthesis. The main advantages of sol-gel techniques are comparable low processing temperatures offering unique opportunities for access to organic and inorganic materials. The sol synthesis and application technology as well protective properties of coating will be discussed. </span></p>

Abstract:
Materials from natural raw materials are always of great demand in the sphere of construction, both large-sized structures and the smallest decoration elements. Regardless of the area of use, wood needs to be processed, whether it is protection from excessive heat and possible sources of ignition, protection from biological influences, including natural conditions, or processing in order to give an object aesthetic features, or create interior compositions. Each type of coating – enamel or paint – has a number of individual characteristics. The aim of research is to identify the relationship between the special fire-retardant paint «Pirex», which provides the first fire protection group, and general-purpose wood paint «Luxart» without a certificate of belonging to one or another fire group security. Referring to State Standard R 53292-2009, which is the basis of the research, wood samples were treated with potential fire protection, after which conclusions were presented on the effectiveness of all tests. In addition to examining the difference between fire retardant paint and general purpose paint, the effect of applied agent layers on the fire retardant properties of wood was investigated. The results of the studies carried out allow us to draw conclusions about each method of applying paint and to identify correlation dependences for each paint on the number of coating layers.

Abstract:
Wood is a material often used by architects to enhance the overall ambience of a space, but few researches have been reported to discuss its actual impact on visual impression and luminous effects. This research studies the influence of wood materiality in relation to creating specific lighting ambiances in architecture. In particular, it focuses on the impact of decorative wood indoor panels on the creation of daylighting diversity in interior space and the potential to improve daylighting quality and energy efficiency. The research uses scaled models for their accuracy in rendering complex daylighting ambiances. The photo-luminance meter enables the comparison between different settings of interior spaces created by a selection of wood type materiality: ratio (percentage), colour (Oak, Cape Cod Grey and Dark Walnut coatings) and gloss concerning illuminance patterns obtained from Ecotect software. The CIE L*a*b* colour space is used to classify luminous ambiances. Results indicate that bright colour Oak favours a deeper daylighting penetration and increases the colour temperature of the space by about 300% when applied on the floor. Cape Cod Grey coating provided a neutral colour balance even under sunlighting. High gloss Dark Walnut located on the ceiling produces the highest luminance values, enlarging the window-lighting pattern. The research underlines the role of wood materiality in achieving luminous diversity and creating visually comfortable interior ambiances.

Abstract:
A bio-based wood adhesive formulation free of formaldehyde and made from alkali-treated wheat gluten (WG) and sodium alginate (SA) was developed. Its formulation was optimised, and it was characterised by Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The bio-adhesive was utilized to make particleboards both with virgin wood particles and recycled wood particles. A dry bio-adhesive content of 35% (w/w) was used to make samples with both type of particles. Single-layer samples of 10 mm thickness were obtained using wood particles of 1 mm (both virgin and recycled). These samples then were subjected to 3-point bending tests. Whereas the bending strength of samples made with recycled wood particles was 18.09 N/m2 and therefore satisfied Type 18 of the Japanese industrial standards (JIS A 5908:2015), the bending strength of the samples made with virgin wood particles was 8.08 N/m2 and satisfied ‘Type 8 Base particleboard Decorative particleboard’ of the Japanese standards. The density of particleboard samples made from recycled wood particles was 916 kg/m3, while that of samples made from virgin wood particles was 732 kg/m3. The alkali-treated WG and SA bio-adhesive has the potential to be used to re-manufacture particleboards, which can then be recycled and not disposed in landfills.

Abstract:
Wood composite panels are widely used in construction and furniture industries. They are very much preferred in interior and exterior decoration, house hold products and toys, etc. because of the aesthetic appearance and their high-quality properties. In manufacturing of wood composite products various machining process are used. In final assembly of various parts of a end product, drilling is the most commonly used machining operation. The cutting forces developed during drilling process having more effect on the surface quality of the drilled holes. Hence the drilling damages like delamination must be controlled to ensure the surface quality of the final product. In controlling these forces the contribution of input drilling parameters is more. The objective of this work is to study the influence of input control parameters to obtain the optimal cutting conditions. In the present study the drilling experiments are performed using Taguchi design of experiments with Taguchi L27 orthogonal array on particleboard (PB) composite panels using high speed steel (HSS) twist drills with three different drill diameters. Response surface methodology (RSM) is used to develop a mathematical model to predict the influence of input control parameters on delamination. The adequacy of the model is checked using Analysis of variance. It is revealed that high spindle speed with low feed rate and smaller drill diameter combination gives better results.

Abstract:
The article deals with one of the types of decorative-applied art — the production of lint-free carpets (palases) by the Bashkirs in the south-eastern part of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Abzelilovsky, Burzyansky, Beloretsky, Baymaksky districts). The source base of the study was the author's field materials collected in 2010-2021 in the study area. It was revealed that palases were woven on a frameless loom of sheep and goat wool. The palases are characterized by a longitudinal-striped ornament without a border — buoy balaq with a serrated pattern. Woollen palases were an indispensable element of the interior of the Bashkir dwelling: they covered bunks and hosted guests on them. The woven items were a part of the bride's dowry. In the 70-80s of the 20th century in some settlements of southeastern Bashkiria they started to weave lint-free carpets aqy balaq or kelam. On their dark background there were bright plant motifs, rhombuses and polygons. It was determined that in the late 20th — early 21st centuries, palace production existed in the territory under study. For the most part, the palases produced are used as interior decoration. Carpets neatly laid on a chest occupy a prominent place in rural and sometimes urban dwellings. The material and size of the item changed, but the technique remained the same.

Abstract:
The early XX th century is a bright phenomenon in the history of decorative art in Ukraine. This is a period of active cooperation between famous avant-garde artists and folk-art masters. The article examines a unique creative experiment of professional and folk artists implemented in the A. Semigradova`s craft workshops in the village of Skoptsy and N. Davydova`s craft workshops in the village of Verbovka. It was these workshops that had differences in their artistic orientation. The art of the famous folk craftswomen G. Sobachko, P. Vlasenko, G. Tsybulyova, who came from there, is analyzed in the article. The works of the professional artists A. Ekster, K. Malevich, L. Popova, O. Rozanova, N. Genke-Meller also are being studied. The folk craftsmen embroidered artistic works based on their sketches and performed ideas of suprematism in this way. Professional artists paid attention to embroidery as the most expressive type of decorative art. It is indicated that the artistic style of decorative panels, carpets, as well as interior decoration and costume items was a new word in the art and brought Ukrainian embroidery to the highest level of development. Such cooperation contributed to the mutual enrichment of the works of folk-art masters and avant-garde artists. Joint innovative research proves the fact that the Ukrainian embroidery of the early XX century, developed in the context of artistic trends at that time, was a synthesis of decorative and fine arts.

Introduction. A large number of works devoted to the research of physical and mechanical properties of bamboos, methods of nodal connections of bamboo rods are indicated. The main "bamboo" countries in which bamboo is gaining popularity as a structural material in the modern construction industry are listed. With the development of modern processing technologies, bamboo is widely used in the construction industry, including in the manufacture of slabs and boards, as well as in the decoration and interior decoration of rooms in Oriental style. The results of studies of the physical and mechanical properties of various types of bamboos conducted by scientists from different countries are currently combined into three ISO editions concerning building codes and rules for the use of bamboos in construction.Materials and Methods. Consideration of the macrostructure of bamboo allows us to characterize the high mechanical properties inherent in natural and artificial polymers. Such an approach to the consideration of bamboo and wood as natural polymers makes it possible to use methods applied to the testing of wood and structural plastics in determining the mechanical characteristics of bamboo. Two series of samples of five pieces each were made. Tables of geometric characteristics of the cross-section of the samples are compiled. A constructive solution is proposed related to the reinforcement of the sample blades with an epoxy composition in order to increase the reliability of securing the samples in the grips of the test rig.Results. To determine the elastic modulus of bamboo under tension, an experimental setup consisting of two grips in which the test sample is placed has been developed and manufactured. Through the lower gripper, the test load is applied by means of a steel rod with a loading platform on which the calibrated piece loads are stacked. To determine the magnitude of the absolute elongation of the sample base during stretching, contact deflection meters are used, as which watchtype indicators of the Mitutoyo company (Japan) are used.Discussion and Conclusion. The formula for determining the elastic modulus under tension is given. The arithmetic mean of the modulus of elasticity of the tested samples and the mean square deviation of the results of the modulus of elasticity are taken as the test result. The analysis of the obtained results allows us to conclude that the experimental values of the modulus of elasticity of Moso bamboo under tension reliably coincide with the values known in the technical literature.

The article is devoted to the study of modern Russian Orthodox carving in case of the creation of the temple decoration of the city church of Barnaul, which includes the manufacture of a wooden carved iconostasis inside and a sculptural image of the Mother of God “Addition of Mind” in the portal outside. The study examines the entire process of creating an interior: from drawing up an iconographic program, searching for plots, ornamental decor to the technical embodiment of an artistic image according to the laws of the Orthodox canon. Currently, there is a resurgent interest in carved icons that have an ancient history in Russia. Such solutions in the temple art are not often found yet, since wood carving requires high professional skill and an indispensable knowledge of the iconographic canon from specialists. A detailed art criticism analysis of the iconography works in the church under consideration, using iconological, historical-comparative and stylistic methods of studying Orthodox art, allows us to highly appreciate the design of the temple, which harmoniously combines with the appearance of the structure and gives a reference to the Russian tradition of Orthodox temple carving. Also, based on it, it became possible to evaluate the implementation of the conceived iconographic decoration program and understand its concept.

Abstract:
Stone veneer has been known for a long time. But mostly it has been used as a finishing material, which is widely applied in decorating the outer surfaces of buildings and facilities. Stone veneer is a thin cut of natural stone - slate, which is applied to fiberglass or textiles. The thickness of the veneer is in the range of 2-3 mm. Stone veneer is available in the form of rolls or tiles. Due to its flexibility, it can be used to refine surfaces that have angles and small radius of curvature. The flexibility of stone veneer is a unique property, since natural stone is not flexible. In today’s world stone veneer is trying to find new fields of application. This material is used not only in interior and exterior designs, but also as a decorative coating of furniture panels. In this work we have established the possibility of wood board materials facing by stone veneer using standard technologies and the most common adhesives used in our country, such as urea-formaldehyde resin and polyvinyl acetate dispersion.

Abstract:
The article poses the problem of comparing the national and the borrowed features in the historical mosques of Algeria. The specificity of the Islamic architectural school of Algeria lies in its diversity, determined by historical factors: in the territories with strong power of local Berber tribes, a regional type of Maghrib mosque, common to Algeria and Morocco, was formed. The situation was different on the sea coast, where numerous conquests caused the layering of many cultures: local Berber, Arab, Ottoman, besides, these were the territories of the former provinces of the Roman Empire with an ancient heritage. A separate issue is the formation of a peculiar Mozabitian (Kharijite) architecture in the cities-ksaras of the Mzab valley in the Sahara desert. As a result of the analysis of national and borrowed manifestations in objects of different territories, the following typology of the main types of mosques in Algeria is proposed: a) Maghrib-type mosques (most widespread in the west and northwest, in the north and east they are combined with mosques of other types) with simple geometric shapes, often undecorated on the facade or with a combination of massive walls and thin facade decoration, columnar type (domeless or with a small dome), the naves are parallel to the qibla wall, the intersection of the nave in the interiors is defined by pillars with the formation of arches, the role of the inner courtyard is not as significant as in Ottoman mosques, a prismatic minaret, horseshoe-shaped or semicircular arches, the arch of the mihrab is horseshoe-shaped or in the form of a shell . Marble, natural stone, glazed ceramics, wood carvings are used for decorative decoration; b) mosques of the Mozabite type (in the valley of the Mzab river) are emphatically simple in form, smaller in size, with very thick walls and small windows, with underground passages and stairs, often without minarets at all (minarets only in a few main mosques and only against the wall of the qiblah or next to it, with the functions of signal towers), the presence of an inner courtyard is optional, in planning, the column-type interior space is divided into several autonomous prayer rooms with their own walls, building materials are very simple and only local, without any decor; c) mosques of the borrowed Ottoman type (in the north and east) - dome type, with a simultaneous combination of ancient and Byzantine traditions, with an inner courtyard surrounded by galleries with half domes, with minarets of the Ottoman cylindrical shape with conical ends, which never performed the functions of signal towers. On the basis of the simultaneous examination and analysis of the natural and climatic conditions, historical periods, and cultural traditions of different regions of Algeria, it is proved that the architectural Islamic school of Algeria was formed, although under strong Arab influence in the early period, but with the preservation and gradual development during the reign of the Maghreb dynasties of its own Berber architectural - building traditions. As a result of specific natural and climatic conditions, separate regions with the preservation of their own traditions, protected from external influences, were formed on the territory of Algeria.

Abstract:
Aiming at the problem that most existing models of art sentiment analysis only consider text encoding from the word level, this paper proposes a novel long and short-term memory network-based krill herd algorithm for explainable art sentiment analysis in interior decoration environment. Firstly, multi-scale convolution is used to capture local correlation of different granularity, so as to obtain more semantic information of different levels and form richer text representation. Then, a gating mechanism is introduced to control the path of sentiment information flowing to the aggregation layer. An improved krill swarm algorithm based on cosine control factor and Cauchy factor is proposed to solve the model. Finally, the full connection layer and argmax function are used to achieve sentiment classification. The experimental results show that compared with other advanced models, the proposed model can improve the accuracy of emotion classification by 2.3% and 0.8% respectively on two public data sets of IMDB and Yelp2014, and obtain the minimum root mean square error (RMSE).

Abstract:
The wooden house in Bucovina evolved over hundreds if not thousands of years of permutations and assimilations to reach, by the end of the XIXth century, a coherent and rich original style that was diffused throughout the region. With a name derived from the Slavic word buk that means beech, the region thus named land of beech trees has always been and continues to be a very rich source of wood. Unsurprisingly, this was the material of choice for the houses in the land. Constructed entirely in wood, including apparent beams to the interior and exterior and wood shingles for the roof, the traditional house in Bucovina elevated the craftsmanship of woodwork to the level of an art. This is obvious when analyzing the constructive details or the ornaments that adorn the windows or the columns of the porch. Similar to the houses of the Moldavian region, on which the style originates, the pattern for the house in Bucovina implies larger dimensions, due to the abundance of the material, larger windows, classical proportions and the use of specific decorative elements. The wooden houses evolved for thousands of years, so the people who built them got an empirical knowing of the material that helped them adopt in time the best measures to insure the durability of the constructions. This article analyses the style characteristics of the house in Bucovina and focuses on the means of constructions that ensured the durability of this dwellings. It is with the purpose of learning from a historical pattern that proved its durability in time and establishing the rules for constructing today with the same material and in the same climatic conditions, those of Bucovina.

Abstract:
In the construction of log building, the building's insulation effect is mainly achieved by the timber tightly connected, which usually requires a large flat timber that lead to the consumption of high-quality wood.In recent years, by the decline in quality of forest resources, existing log buildings are constructed with fast-growing wood which small diameter, and larger curvature. Compared with the traditional log building, the log wall constructed with fast-growing wood has wider gap, poor insulation and poor pest control. So it greatly increased consumption of firewood for heating. To compensate for this defect, this paper make a study of log building constructions wall structured with light weight earth material. Mixture of plant fibre and cement, is used as main reinforce component, together with raw soil to enhance the ability of anti-cracking and heat preservation, fixing the mixture of ligth clay on inner side of the construcion's wall to enhance the ability of heat preservation and getting smooth wall surface by fill the gap in the wall, and easy for decorating interior wall.

Abstract:
Veneer plywood is established in building construction, interior finishing and vehicle construction. Particularly in automotive or ship interior applications, the requirements with regard to strength and stiffness properties are increasing. At the same time, the weight of the panel materials used is to be reduced. The development presented here is a new type of lightweight basalt fibre-reinforced poplar veneer plywood and at the same time rigid alternative to the established birch veneer plywood. By adapting the adhesive and the reinforcing semi-finished products, the material and manufacturing costs are comparatively low. The bonding of the fibre reinforcement to the carrier material is achieved by means of adapted wood adhesives (e.g. polyvinyl acetates), which are also used as matrix material for the fibre reinforcement. An application of the reinforcement layer is integrated into the coating process (e.g. with High Pressure Laminate HPL decorative fabrics) of the carrier material. Essential advantages compared to conventional board materials are shown in this paper. The research results were achieved at the Institute for Structural Lightweight Construction of the TU Chemnitz in cooperation with the company Toms Gerber GmbH within the ZiM cooperation project FuBa.

Abstract:
Trains as public transportation have experienced quite significant passenger growth. One type of train that has just been developed is a compartment, a room to maintain passenger’s privacy during the trip. However, train design needs to pay more attention to passenger preferences. Uncovering this can be done using the Kansei Engineering method, which has successfully increased the value of products such as cars and others. Previously, research had been carried out with the results of favorite compartment designs with a minimalist theme, green color palette, decorative painting, glossy, and dominant wood motif finishing. However, this research has not addressed the affective side’s influence on design specifications more deeply. The research objective is to determine train compartment interior design specifications that suit user preferences and respondent clustering. This research will be carried out using a questionnaire with a semantic differential scale, which is tested using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Cluster Analysis. The research results show that user preferences influence the interior design specifications of the compartment and the favorite design samples chosen by most respondents. The results of this research can be a reference for train manufacturers and the general public.

Abstract:
Wood chipboard, common in interior spaces for applications ranging from furniture to decorative panelling, often falls short due to the presence of toxic adhesives, posing risks to both human health and the environment. This research delves into the potential transformation of wood chipboard into a 100% bio-based product. Previous research has shown the possibility of the partial replacement of petrochemical-based adhesives with bio-based adhesives. Hence, previous results do not reach the policy ambitions of the Green Deal of making the Green Transition to a bio-based economy. For chipboard production, logging residues from Latvian State Forests were systematically gathered within two months post-logging, comprising primarily Picea abies and Pinus sylvestris biomass, including branches, needles, bark, and various particles. A custom chipper and Vibrotehnik PM-120 hammer mill were employed for particle size separation into three fractions via sieving: <2.8 mm, 2.8–8 mm, and 8.0–10.0 mm, and combined with binders and hot-pressed into board samples. As a result, particle boards containing 100% bio-based carbon were achieved, demonstrating the possibility of excluding petroleum adhesives from chipboard production, paving the way for new research exploring bio-based binders and conifer bark.

Abstract:
Water molecule reacts with aluminium when it is immersed in water, which plays a vital role in hydrogen generation process. This process which uses sodium hydroxide as catalyst produces a byproduct alumina and some other scarce ingredients. This byproduct is mentioned as alumina composite powder (ACP). In an attempt of reutilizing and converting it into a matrix material using a resin polymer as a binder, this work investigates the workability of the product produced by alumina composite matrix. The specimen produced by alumina composite matrix has been tested for its desirable strength, namely, tensile strength, elongation under varied thermal conditions, compression test, flexural test with fiber reinforcement and non fiber reinforcement. The nature of crack formation and the plastic behavior of the specimen during test have been analyzed, based on the crack propagation in failure plane in the alumina composite matrix as a high quality alternative for wood and tiles for high class interior decorations. This research explores the effective use of the byproduct alumina composite matrix and its consistent eco-friendly nature.

Abstract:
Geopolymers have been mainly utilized as structural materials; their chemical structure and morphologies have been explored for their potential as a high-performance material in emerging applications. Geopolymer composites reinforced with materials based on agro-waste are attracting interest in engineering applications due to their easy processing, low cost, low density, and high strength-to-weight ratio. This investigation pursues an experimental methodology that consists of a scheme to make composites with a geopolymer matrix and agro-waste (rice husk, barley, and coffee) as aggregate material, that can be applied in various fields of construction. The study was intended to determine the influence of adding various agro-wastes on the mechanical properties of the geopolymer. According to the respective ASTM standards, the materials obtained were prepared and analyzed to determine their compressive strength, flexural strength, hardness and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)-determined characteristics. The results revealed that, for the compression tests, the composites formed by a sol-gel matrix and barley husk showed a better yield, obtaining the highest value of 3.5 N/mm2. Concerning hardness testing, the composites with a geopolymer matrix and coffee husks obtained higher values compared to the other composites. For the flexural tests, the compounds with the sol-gel/fly ash matrix obtained the highest yield stress value, which was 5.25 MPa with an elastic modulus of 7.59 GPa. The results of the microstructural analysis showed good husk-matrix interaction, together with failure mechanisms. The conformation of such waste-based compounds may enable them to replace natural wood in some applications, such as in the finishing of interiors of homes, during the final stages in the construction of buildings, or in the decoration of inhabited houses, as well as in finishing in the manufacture of furniture.

Abstract:
Block printing is a technique of producing images repeatedly on a surface that produces original and unique work because it was done manually. However, as time goes by, block printing is still less well known and less developed in Indonesia. In addition to the newly used wood, block printing plates can be replaced by various alternative materials, such as wood from forest fires. Unfortunately, wood from forest fires often has no selling value and can only be used as charcoal or firewood by the surroundingcommunity. This research aims to find a solution to utilize and increase the value of unused forest fires wood into block printing plates. The author was inspired to use forest fires wood as a block printing plate to increase the artistic and economic value of wood and give a new image to the surface of textiles and fashion products. This research was carried out using qualitative research methods in the form of observations made by observing the condition of wood from forest fires directly; literature studies areobtained from several journals, books, and articles; also, experiments consisting of initial, advanced, and selected experiments. The products produced from this research are sheets of cloth and a collectionof ready-to-wear clothing. Keywords: block printing, wood residue, fashion.
