To this end, we based ourselves on the theory and design of language of Mikhail Bakhtin, as well as on the ponziana and geraldiana theories with respect to the enunciative treaty of language. In this context, we aimed to understand how occurred the literacy process in what circumscribes the practices of texts production and reading, as well as investigate the conceptions of subject that underlie the different practices of reading and writing in literacy. In addition, we conceive the production practice of written text as a discursive activity that correlates sense (implied) and situation (life) in a unique and singular event. We had as goal, also, think about the senses and subject formation processes in the production of language. With basis on the investigative principles of indiciary paradigm and the methodological reflections in Bakhtin Humanities, we try to highlight in a written narrative production, namely, the children's tale Little Red Riding Hood, how the child assumes a active responsive position on its re-telling. In the narrated discourse there are displacement movements that point to a emotive-valuation work, in which stands out the uniqueness of the child; in the meeting between reported word and word that reports, the child's production is characterized as a translation work.<br>Este trabalho é uma investigação acerca das produções de textos escritos por crianças do 2° ano do Ensino Fundamental, de uma escola pública do município de Bauru, tendo em vista buscar, no processo de construção do sentido dos textos, as singularidades que apontam para a relação palavra própria com a palavra outra. Para tanto, fundamentamo-nos na teoria e concepção de linguagem de Mikhail Bakhtin, bem como nas teorias ponziana e geraldiana no que tange ao tratado enunciativo da linguagem. Nesse contexto, objetivou-se compreender como se deu o processo de alfabetização no que circunscreve as práticas de produção e leitura de textos, bem como investigar as concepções de sujeito que subjazem as diferentes práticas de leitura e escrita na alfabetização. Além disso, conceber a prática de produção de texto escrito como atividade discursiva, que correlaciona sentido (subentendido) e situação (vida) em um evento único e singular. Foi objetivado, ainda, refletir sobre os processos de constituição de sentidos e sujeito na produção da linguagem. Com base nos princípios investigativos do paradigma indiciário e nas reflexões metodológicas em ciências humanas bakhtinianas, procuramos evidenciar em uma produção escrita de narrativa, a saber, o conto infantil Chapeuzinho Vermelho, o modo como a criança assume uma posição responsiva ativa no seu reconto. No discurso narrado há movimentos de deslocamento que apontam para um trabalho emotivo-valorativo, em que sobressai a singularidade da criança; no encontro entre palavra reportada e palavra que reporta a produção da criança se caracteriza como um trabalho de tradução.

Abstract:
In view of the complexity characterizing the contemporary discipline of academic theology, there is a need for functional models. Against the background of significant developments in twentieth-century theology, this thesis attempts to develop an analytical model which can make sense of some of the complexity characterizing this field. More specifically, the aim is to produce a model which can be used to distinguish between and relate different theological positions to each other at a meta-level. This is achieved through the elaboration of a two-dimensional typology composed of four quadrants representing distinct theological orientations. The proposed model and its analytical categories form the basis for a discussion of some key figures and themes in modern theology, with a particular emphasis on eschatologically oriented theologies. Finally, on the basis of preceding discussions, a case is made for theology’s ability to fulfill a vital cultural-critical role in a secular context.

Abstract:
Utilising a critical theoretical perspective, this work examines contemporary corporatised tourism and capitalist globalisation. This analysis suggests that marketisation limits the understanding of the purposes of tourism to its commercial and “industrial” features, thereby marginalising wider understandings of the social importance of tourism. Sklair’s conceptualisation of capitalist globalisation and its dynamics, as expressed in his “sociology of the global system” (2002), is employed to understand the corporatised tourism phenomenon. This thesis explains how a corporatised tourism sector has been created by transnational tourism and travel corporations, professionals in the travel and tourism sector, transnational practices such as the liberalisation being imposed through the General Agreement on Trade in Services negotiations and the culture-ideology of consumerism that tourists have adopted. This thesis argues that this reaps profits for industry and exclusive holidays for privileged tourists, but generates social and ecological costs which inspire vigorous challenge and resistance. This challenge is most clearly evident in the alternative tourism movement which seeks to provide the equity and environmental sustainability undermined by the dynamics of corporatised tourism. Alternative tourism niches with a capacity to foster an “eco-humanism” are examined by focusing on ecotourism, sustainable tourism, pro-poor tourism, fair trade in tourism, community-based tourism, peace through tourism, volunteer tourism and justice tourism. While each of these demonstrates certain transformative capacities, some prove to be mild reformist efforts and others promise more significant transformative capacity. In particular, the niches of volunteer tourism and justice tourism demonstrate capacities to mount a vigorous challenge to both corporatised tourism and capitalist globalisation. Since the formation of the Global Tourism Interventions Forum (GTIF) at the World Social Forum gathering in Mumbai in 2004, justice tourism has an agenda focused on overturning corporatised tourism and capitalist globalisation, and inaugurating a new alternative globalisation which is both “pro-people” and sustainable. Following the development of these original, macro-level conceptualisations of tourism and globalisation, this thesis presents a micro-level case study of an Indigenous Australian tourism enterprise which illustrates some of these dynamics in a local context. Camp Coorong Race Relations and Cultural Education Centre established and run by the Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal community of South Australia has utilised tourism to foster greater equity and sustainability by working towards reconciliation through tourism. The Ngarrindjeri have also experienced conflicts generated from the pressures of inappropriate tourism development which has necessitated an additional strategy of asserting their Indigenous rights in order to secure Ngarrindjeri lifeways. The case study analysis suggests that for alternative tourism to create the transformations that contemporary circumstances require, significant political change may be necessary. This includes fulfilment of economic, social and cultural rights to which a majority of nations have committed but have to date failed to implement. While this is a challenge for nation-states and is beyond the capacities of tourism alone, tourism nonetheless can be geared toward greater equity and sustainability if the perspective that corporatised tourism is the only option is resisted. This thesis demonstrates that another tourism is possible; one that is geared to public welfare, human fulfilment, solidarity and ecological living.

DE ENSINO<br>Este trabalho se destina a refazer o percurso de desenvolvimento da cidadania a partir do fortalecimento dos valores da liberdade e da igualdade no contexto da modernização do Ocidente. O desenvolvimento gradual dos direitos humanos, enquanto direitos de cidadania, percorreu direções diversas, segundo as influências político-valorativas que inspiraram sua normatização pelas regiões do planeta que aderiram à revolução individualista. Deste modo, a permanente dificuldade de equacionar, ao mesmo tempo, a garantia dos direitos de liberdade e dos direitos de igualdade tem se mostrado ser a divergência central que impede a conquista da cidadania em sua totalidade. Percebe-se, assim, a condição flutuante que o conceito de cidadania adquire, entendido como uma construção histórica, diante das forças em disputa para a definição dos caminhos de desenvolvimento social, cultural e econômico que as sociedades optaram para si. Os movimentos sociais, como principais atores de uma sociedade civil organizada para a mudança social, neste sentido, aparecem como meio principal de definição de valores e práticas, seja na esfera da vida quanto no mundo institucional, com vistas à conquista de uma cidadania cada vez mais planetária. Sua ação, portanto, será objeto central desta análise por meio da realização de um estudo de caso sobre o processo do Fórum Social Mundial durante os onze anos de sua existência atento ao atual estado de organização da sociedade civil no contexto brasileiro pós redemocratização, a partir das conseqüências que o aprofundamento do fenômeno da globalização capitalista hegemônica trouxe para este país como para todo o mundo.<br>This work is intended to retrace the path of development of citizenship based on the strengthening of the values of liberty and equality in the context of western modernization. The gradual development of human rights as rights of citizenship, traveled several directions, according to political-valorative influences that led to its normalization at the regions of the planet who joined the individualistic revolution. Thus, the continuing difficulty of overcoming, at the same time, safeguarding the rights of liberty and equality has been shown to be the central divergence that prevents the achievement of citizenship in its entirety. It is clear, therefore, the floating condition that the concept of citizenship acquires, understood as a historical building while under the influence of competing forces to define the paths of social, cultural and economic development societies have chosen for themselves. The social movements as major actors of civil society organized for social change, in this sense, appear as the primary means of shaping social values and practices, whether in the sphere of life and in the institutional world, with the aim to increase citizenship globally. Their action, therefore, is the central object of this analysis. To accomplish this goal, will be realized a case study on the World Social Forum process during the eleven years of its existence with emphasis on the current state of civil society organization in the brazilian post democratic context, from the consequences of the phenomenon that the deepening of the hegemonic capitalist globalization has brought to this country and around the world.

Thesis advisor: Richard Kearney<br>This dissertation work examines culture as a condition, as a context, and, finally, as an achievement. The research objectives for this examination are both historical and philosophical. The historical objective is to retrace the appearance of the notion of culture in the works of Paul Ricoeur (1913-2005), and to demonstrate that Ricoeur adopts and adapts the term to his philosophical vocabulary. The accompanying philosophical objective, the proper task of this dissertation, is equally twofold. At the scholarly level this dissertation reconstructs - in the form of a hermeneutic of cultural recognition - Paul Ricoeur's cultural theory, and explicates why such a theory is necessary relative to Ricoeur's more openly-argued anthropological phenomenology of "being able." I maintain that all anthropological thought requires the support of cultural understanding, as no comprehensive anthropology is possible without the philosophical elaboration of the cultural condition that concerns human situatedness. The ultimate aim of this dissertation, however, is to go beyond this scholarly analysis and point out a subjective cultural hermeneutic process under the peculiar "dramatic" modality of this dissertation. This postcritical process is what I sum up with the term re-con-naissance. The reception of a cultural heritage is reaffirmed in the incessant task of acquiring a notion of one's self through hermeneutic reappropriation, or, as a perpetual task of freedom and the fulfillment of fundamental human possibilities in the interpretation of one's culture. Put differently, the matter of this dissertation is to recognize (reconnaître) this level of cultural hermeneutics that is unceasingly present; to expose a postcritical depth structure that takes place in the reader's own reconfigurative process as culturally enabled re-con-naissance. Since this hermeneutic concerns the postcritical interpretive reflection of a living, acting and struggling human subject - and is, therefore, not directly explainable - this reconfiguration can only be pointed at or suggested. In spite of its postcritical aim, therefore, the dissertation remains an academic work that functions at the level of critical explanation. The postcritical cultural hermeneutics has to be approached through the critical means that are exemplified by the scholarly analysis in this dissertation; our analysis stands for the critical and objectifying (academic) culture within which the reader reads this dissertation as a cultural and interpretive subject. After having propaedeutically explained the critical scholarly course and the ultimate postcritical task of this dissertation in part one, part two then breaks open the realm of cultural hermeneutics in the work of Paul Ricoeur by "letting it appear" through the critical analysis of the different perceptions concerning his last major work The Course of Recognition. This is the moment of "re-" or re-membering again the cultural condition. Ricoeur's post-Hegelian notion of "cultural objectification" necessitates, however, examining the synthetic moment of "con." Part three analyzes this "con" by pointing out a trajectory of Ricoeur's "post-Hegelian Kantian" though in his early works that runs from the condition of objectivity to cultural objectivity, and furthermore to a poetically constituted hermeneutic of culture. In turn, part four contrasts Ricoeur's thought with that of Martin Heidegger, focusing on Ricoeur's later works that propose an etho-poetics of culture that is manifested in institution. Part four, which closes off the scholarly analysis of Ricoeur's cultural hermeneutics, thereby displays the moment of "naissance," or "having-been-born-as-an-ethico-political-subject." The last part of this dissertation, part five, distances itself from the academic or scholarly mode by revealing the underlying "dramatic" structure of this dissertation.
