This thesis examines the short-term changes occurring in a number of the eye's structures during reading tasks, and explores how these changes differ between normal eyes, and those with short-sightedness (myopia). This research revealed changes in the shape and thickness of a number of the eye's structures during near work, and aspects of these changes showed differences associated with myopia.
