Abstract:
DedicatedtoDr. Matthew M. LeClaire(1989-2018)
“In 2018, Dr. Matthew LeClaire received his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and began a position at Coppin State University. Matt was a rising star in the bullying and juvenile delinquency field. This work reflects his commitment to the art of symbolic interactionism and his subcultural curiosity.
Dr. LeClaire was elected to be incoming chair of the Society for the Study of Social Problems’ Crime and Juvenile Delinquency Division and bestowed a university-wide UNLV teaching award for his outstanding work that went well beyond the classroom. But most important of all, Matt was that once-in-a-lifetime kind of friend and peer mentor, of which I was honored to be one of.
I leave you with something Matt said to me once which embodies just who he was—as a mentor, scholar, and activist. ‘You can’t put a price on shaping young lives. Don’t let anyone’s lackluster acknowledgement make you think otherwise.’”

Abstract:
<em>This study examined the relationship between meaningful work and employee engagement in public secondary schools in Bayelsa State. The cross-sectional research design was employed in the study. A structured questionnaire for meaningful work and employee engagement with Cronbach&rsquo;s alpha reliability scores above .80 was used to generate primary data for the study. The respondents to the research instrument were 312 public secondary school teachers out of a sample of 363 drawn from 144 public secondary schools in Bayelsa State, cutting across all 8 local government areas with the aid of the Taro Yamane technique, and the data generated were analyzed with Pearson&rsquo;s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC) at the 0.05 level of significance. The results showed a significant relationship between meaningful work and the measures of employee engagement (.656, .604, and .438), respectively for hypotheses 1 to 3. Given these findings, it was concluded that a significant empirical relationship exists between meaningful work and employee engagement among teachers in public secondary schools in Bayelsa State. Based on this conclusion, it was recommended that heads of public secondary schools should enable their staff to develop a feeling of pride by making their jobs more meaningful. Meaningfulness was also found to be significantly linked to employee dedication. Increasing feelings of work-related meaning would therefore increase dedication. To do this, the government should offer incentives for teachers that give their jobs more meaning, which will in turn increase dedication. School administrators should also encourage their staff to feel meaningful by giving their work more value, which will increase absorption.</em>

Abstract:
This study examines the performance of millennial employees in four-star hotels in Medan, with harmonious dedication as an intervening variable. The research employs the Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. The findings indicate that workload does not significantly influence harmonious dedication or employee performance. Conversely, worker autonomy positively impacts both harmonious dedication and employee performance. Work passion significantly affects employee performance but does not contribute to harmonious dedication. Work innovation plays a crucial role, significantly influencing both harmonious dedication and employee performance. Additionally, harmonious dedication enhances employee performance and serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between work innovation and employee performance. However, it does not mediate the effect of work passion on performance. These results highlight the importance of worker autonomy and work innovation in improving employee performance, while workload and work passion have limited direct effects. The study provides insights for hotel management to focus on enhancing autonomy and innovation to boost employee dedication and performance. Future research can explore additional factors influencing millennial employee performance in the hospitality industry.

Abstract:
Statement of the problem. The tradition of authors’ dedications in composers’ works has developed in musical art during several historical and stylistic epochs. According to our observes, there are several types of dedications, which differ in form and content: a dedication to a specific person who inspired or influenced the storyline of the artwork; dedications, in which the addressees remain encrypted in the initial letters of the name and surname, allowing readers/performers to guess the history of the work’s creation; dedications, which were composed of quotes from other authors’ works that provide the opportunity of a dialogue between the composers; finally, dedications that perform the function of a memorial, imprinting the sound images of a historical time or a significant event. All the types of dedications, together with the title text components, carries a certain semantic code, outlining the worldview position of the author. The purpose of the article is to consider the phenomenon of authors’ dedications based on the chamber-ensemble works by composers of various stylistic schools using a combination of analytical, historical, cultural, and musicological research methods. The scientific novelty is the analysis of the semantics of dedications of the chamber instrumental and ensemble works of composers of different historical and stylistic epochs, from Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism to our days. Results and conclusion. The author defines the dedication as an independent text that performs special function, revealing the personal and meaningful layers of the author’s intention in subtexts and background meanings and forming a certain “horizon of expectation” for future listeners / performers. Meaningful concentration on the deep psychological layers of human consciousness is a special form of embodiment in the tradition of dedication by composers in their own works: in Baroque times to the Creator for the ability to create; in the classicist epoch to listeners and sponsors; during Romanticism era – to loved ones and relatives; at the modern stage – to the outstanding personality of the artist and great historical events. Each author’s dedication enriches the presented (musical / literary) text, filling it with new meaning, “deciphering” what the author may have intended to say, and “recoding” the proposed content of the work. And, since each of these opuses is intended for public presentation, the author defines the dedication genre as a delayed, timed communication channel with potential performers, readers, and listeners for whom, alongside with the author of the artwork, there will always be a figure who inspired the realization of a certain artistic idea.

Abstract:
Purpose This study aims to investigate the influence of employee positions (supervisor vs line-level employee) on work-related variables (e.g. work engagement, job satisfaction and turnover intentions). Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from line-level employees and supervisors of 29 mid- to up-scale hotels. A series of one-way ANCOVA were performed to test the position differences in work engagement, job satisfaction and turnover intentions. Hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to examine the moderating role of employees’ positions on the relationships between those variables. Findings Supervisors have significantly higher work engagement and lower turnover intentions than line-level employees, whereas job satisfaction does not differ across positions. Employee positions significantly moderate the relationship between absorption and job satisfaction, and the relationship between dedication and turnover intentions. Practical implications This study provides an in-depth analysis for hotel managers to capture work-related factors (i.e. work engagement, job satisfaction and turnover intentions) across employee positions. Dedication is the primary barometer that significantly leads to job satisfaction and reduced turnover intentions compared to vigor and absorption. Although job satisfaction may be boosted by improving employee work engagement (i.e. vigor, dedication and absorption), increasing absorption is not an effective solution to increase supervisors’ job satisfaction. Hotel managers need to carefully monitor supervisors’ levels of dedication, given its focal impact on turnover intentions. Originality/value This study is one of the first attempts to examine the differences between line-level employees’ and supervisors’ work engagement (i.e. vigor, dedication and absorption) and its consequences (i.e. job satisfaction and turnover intentions). Findings highlight the unique influence of the individual dimension of work engagement on job satisfaction and turnover intentions. This study reveals the moderating effect of employee positions on the links between engagement dimensions and consequences.

Abstract:
Abstract Musicology has increasingly recognised the relevance of dedications for texts and works. Nevertheless, there seems to be no practical consensus on how to edit the dedications of historical musical sources. Using the example of 19th-century music prints, this essay highlights the role of dedications for a musical work and points out nuances of the phenomenon that are of relevance for editorial decision-making. An overview of functions of dedications in 19th-century music is outlined. This is followed by a theoretically-guided discussion of more ambivalent case examples in which rivaling dedication variants to a single work must be considered from the editor’s perspective. While a complete guideline for the editing of dedications cannot be given in this study, the conclusions drawn may help to establish a common awareness and a best practice.

Abstract:
Introduction: High job demands can cause problems for nurses, increased stress levels, burnout, and even turnover which results in decreased performance. Conditions of work-life balance that are not aligned may reduce work attachments. Objectives: to examine the structural model of the effect of work-life balance on work engagement. Methods: The research participants were 120 nurses, diploma graduates or nurses who were actively working in the field of nursing and living with their families. Data were obtained by using the UWES-9 questionnaire and the Industrial Society's Work-Life. Data processing used the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method, namely testing the measurement model with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and testing the structural model with SEM methods with the LISREL 8.8.0 program. Results: The structural model produces a work-life balance of 8 valid items, 3 valid items to the vigor dimension, 3 valid items dedication dimension and 2 valid items absorption dimensions. Work-life balance as a predictor has an effect on work attachment but is still weak (γ = 0.29; sig; R2 = 8%). The work-life of nurses is not yet balanced and it is proven that nurses find it difficult to find time to relax, and maintain relationships with friends and relatives. Nurses perceive their work as very meaningful and it is proven by their strong dedication. Conclusions: The structural model has a fit model, that work-life balance is still weak and has not been able to influence work engagement. Nurses work because of their strong dedication to their work.

Abstract:
Abstract Objective: To determine the work engagement levels of hospital nurses and the predictive roles that nurses’ personal and organizational characteristics play. Methods: A cross-sectional design was employed in this study, which included 549 nurses working in the Central Philippines. Nurses were selected through purposive sampling, and a self-report questionnaire outlining personal and organizational characteristics was employed. The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) was applied to gather data about nurse engagement. Results: The dedication score was the highest among the three dimensions of engagement while the vigor score was the lowest. Overall, Filipino nurses experienced an average level of work engagement. We observed significant relationships between a nurse’s age, years of experience in nursing, years in their present unit, and their position at work and their levels of engagement, vigor, sense of dedication, and absorption. Hospital capacity was a negative predictor of vigor, dedication, absorption, and overall work engagement. Further, the type of nursing contract was a negative predictor of vigor and dedication. The type of hospital and the nurse’s position were positive predictors of vigor, dedication, and absorption. Conclusions: Filipino nurses were satisfactorily engaged at work. A number of nurses’ personal and organizational characteristics play a predictive role in their work engagement. Thus, nursing administrators must support, develop, and implement activities and measures that engage nurses at work.

Abstract:
This study focused in finding out the school head&rsquo;s instructional leadership behavior and its impact to teacher&rsquo;s work engagement as perceived by the teachers. Public Elementary School teachers of Tiaong II District, Division of Quezon were chosen as the respondents of the study. The adapted and modified survey questionnaire by Philip Hallinger was utilized to measure the instructional behavior of the school heads and Schaufeli and Bakker (2003), the Utretch Work Engagement Scale (UWES) was used to measure the Teachers Work Engagement in terms of Vigor, Dedication and Absorption using the Likert Scaling of 1-5. The result of the variables showed that there is a significant relationship between the Instructional Leadership Behavior and Teacher&rsquo;s Work Engagement in terms of (Vigor, Dedication and Absorption). However, the results implied that school leaders with instructional leadership style manifest behavior that is expected by the teachers and make them work with energy, enthusiasm, commitment and dedication at work. Despite of this result, as for the recommendations, school heads may continue lead their teachers and do what is best for teachers and student&rsquo;s welfare. Also, teachers may continue showing enthusiasm, dedication and full of commitment with their work, duties and responsibilities for their student&rsquo;s development. School heads may also adopt the effective instructional leadership style and behavior to keep the teachers inspired, motivated, work with energy and dedicated with their work. However, school heads may lessen the extra-curricular and other activities and programs in the school for the teachers to continue work with energy, dedication and commitment.

Abstract:
Purpose Employee engagement studies are popular in contemporary research because of the complexity organizations face in nurturing the performance and productivity of multi-generations of workers. The purpose of this paper is to assess association of age and dimensions of work engagement. Design/methodology/approach In total, 181 participants completed the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) to measure work engagement including the dimensions of absorption, vigor and dedication as well as demographics. One-way ANOVA and post hoc tests were conducted to examine the relationship between age and work engagement. Findings Employees 50 years of age and older were found to have statistically significant higher work engagement scores than the employees under the age of 50. Statistically significant scores were also found to be higher in absorption and dedication. Originality/value The workforce is aging with older employees becoming larger populations in organizations. Understanding how age influences employee work engagement supports human capital management strategy within organizations. HR professionals can also use the findings to develop targeted employee engagement to leverage the dedication and talents of older employees.

This study aimed to explore the associations of occupational stressors (extrinsic effort, reward, and overcommitment), perceived organizational support (POS), and psychological capital (PsyCap) and its components (self-efficacy, hope, resilience, and optimism) with work engagement and the mediating roles of PsyCap and its components among Chinese female nurses within the framework of the job demands-resources (JD-R) model. A cross-sectional sample (1,330) completed the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, Effort-Reward Imbalance Scale, Survey of POS, and PsyCap Questionnaire, and effective respondents were 1,016 (76.4%). Hierarchical regression analysis and Preacher and Hayes’ asymptotic and resampling strategies were used. Extrinsic effort was negatively associated with vigor, dedication, and absorption, while POS, PsyCap, and hope were positively associated with them. Reward and overcommitment were positively associated with dedication and absorption. Optimism was positively associated with vigor and dedication. Optimism mediated the associations of extrinsic effort, reward, and POS with vigor and dedication. PsyCap and hope mediated the associations of POS with vigor, dedication, and absorption. There is a low level of work engagement among Chinese female nurses. Extrinsic effort could reduce work engagement, while reward, overcommitment, POS, PsyCap, hope, and optimism could enhance work engagement. Hospital managers should develop the PsyCap of female nurses through controlling occupational stressors and establishing supportive organizational climate to enhance their work engagement.

Abstract:
Background: Work engagement is essential to the well-being of nurses and the quality of health care, particularly in high-demand urban hospital environments in Bangkok. To determine the levels of work engagement—vigor, dedication, and absorption—among nurses in a Thai urban tertiary hospital, and to identify associated demographic and occupational predictors. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 650 nurses at a tertiary university hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, from February to March 2025. Participants were selected through simple random sampling. They completed an online survey including demographic data and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), which assesses three dimensions of engagement: vigor, dedication, and absorption. To identify the predictors of high engagement levels, chi-square tests and multivariate binary logistic regression were used. Results: Most nurses reported low engagement across all dimensions: 73.1% for vigor, 69.1% for dedication, and 70.0% for absorption. In the adjusted models, monthly income was a significant predictor of higher vigor and dedication, whereas no significant predictors emerged for absorption. Other variables, including age, experience, and professional rank, were significant in the bivariate analyses but not in the multivariate models. Conclusions: Nurse engagement remains suboptimal in the urban tertiary hospital setting, with financial compensation emerging as a key determinant. Strategic interventions to improve income equity and career development may help enhance engagement and retention in the nursing workforce.

Abstract:
Objectives: We aimed to examine associations of work engagement with self-reported concerns of having made medical errors among medical assistants. Methods: We used cross-sectional questionnaire data from 424 medical assistants in Germany (collected between March and May 2021). The nine-item Utrecht Work Engagement Scale assessed the subdimensions vigor, dedication, and absorption. Participants further reported whether they were concerned that they had made an important medical error in the last three months. Work engagement scores were used both as categorized variables (i.e., highest tertile vs. remaining tertiles) and continuous variables (i.e., z-scores) and their associations with concerns to have made an important medical error were examined using multivariable logistic regression to estimate odds ratios (ORs) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results: High vigor (versus low vigor) and high dedication (versus low dedication) were associated with substantially reduced odds of expressing concerns to have made an important medical error (OR = 0.19, 95%CI = 0.04–0.85 and OR = 0.25, 95%CI = 0.07–0.88, respectively), but absorption was not (OR = 1.10, 95%CI = 0.43–2.86). Analyses with z-scores confirmed this pattern of associations for vigor and absorption, but less so for dedication (OR = 0.72, 95%CI = 0.47–1.11). Conclusions: Vigor and possibly also dedication are inversely related to concerns of having made an important medical error. Our findings may suggest that promotion of these subdimensions of work engagement may improve patient safety.

Abstract:
The aim of the present study was to investigate the moderating role of perceived dedication-to-work promoting organization for the relationship between employees’ perfectionism and workaholism. A total of 964 employees (514 females and 450 males) working in different Lithuanian organizations participated in the cross-sectional study. Data were collected by means of online self-administered questionnaires. Workaholism was measured using DUWAS-10 proposed by Schaufeli et al. (2009). To measure perfectionism, a short version of the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (MPS; Hewitt and Flett, 1991) was used. A questionnaire proposed by Allen (2001) was used to assess the perceptions of whether an organization encourages employees to focus solely on work or whether it supports their family responsibilities as well. It was hypothesized that the positive relationship between perfectionism and workaholism was stronger for employees working in dedication-to-work promoting organizations. The assumption was confirmed. It was obtained that the risk of workaholism was higher for employees having high levels of perfectionism and perceiving organization as promoting dedication to work.

Abstract:
Social media has rapidly become an important tool in organizations and has a significant impact on employees’ work and organizational operations. By applying social media to their daily work, employees gain access to important information resources that can help them get things done. Using the conservation of resources theory, this study examines the impact of work resources generated by employees’ work-based social media use on work status, as well as job performance. Data were collected from the employees of Internet companies in Henan Province and Shanghai, China. We distributed 519 pairs of questionnaires, and 369 pairs of valid paired questionnaires were returned. To estimate the proposed relationships in the theoretical framework, we used SPSS and MPLUS. The results show that work-based social media use can increase employees’ work engagement, which in turn increases task performance, job dedication and interpersonal facilitation. It also reduces the negative effects of work interruptions on task performance and job dedication. Therefore, we conclude the positive effects of work-based social media use on job performance can be achieved by increasing work engagement and by reducing work interruptions.

Despite strong conventionalization of the works and their genetic similarity, his poetic offerings demonstrate the individualism of the realization, reveal high literary and artistic values. The paper addresses several issues: 1. the poet’s attitude to tradition – dedication as a literary phenomenon; 2. the paratextual character of the dedication – its relation to the work that it precedes (was to precede); 3. the structure of the work – addressee, thematic scope, topology.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: Complaints and musculoskeletal discomforts are common manifestations of individuals affected by work-related disorders (WRMD), and the influence of individual and/or psychosocial risk factors may play a significant role in WRMD development. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate and to compare work engagement (WE) and ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) and to assess the association between indexes of WE and RPE among healthcare workers. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Seventeen female subjects (36 ± 11 years, 1.58 ± 0.06 m and 59 ± 9 kg) participated, all officially employed on a nonprofit agency. The Nordic Questionnaire was used to evaluate musculoskeletal complaints and the Borg Scale used to evaluate the RPE. The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale quantified WE (vigor, dedication and absorption domains). Participants were divided into two groups, according to their sectors: healthcare clinics and institution for the elderly. The independent student t test was used to verify differences between groups and the chi-square test to verify associations between variables. RESULTS: All subjects reported musculoskeletal complaints, mainly in the low back (58%). RPE did not differ between groups, while in the vigor, it was found a significant statistically difference (p = 0.035). An association between RPE and vigor and RPE and dedication was establish (p = 0.02 and p = 0.036, respectively). CONCLUSION: The association between WE and RPE suggests that workers with lower indexes of vigor and dedication may perceive greater physical demand, which can be imposed by work demands.

Abstract:
Several factors influence teachers’ work commitment and students’ academic achievement. These factors include instructors’ emotion regulation skills and their level of involvement in school decision-making. This study aimed to determine how teachers’ emotional intelligence and participation in decision-making influence their dedication to their work. One hundred and fifty educators participated in this quantitative investigation through a survey. Teachers’ emotional intelligence, participation in decision-making, and commitment to their work were assessed using a questionnaire. The impact of these variables was tested through data analysis using regression techniques. Positive and statistically significant effects of emotional intelligence and participation in decision-making on teachers’ dedication to their work were observed. Emotionally intelligent teachers are more dedicated to their jobs because they can better handle stress, form strong relationships with students, and overcome obstacles.Furthermore, being part of the decision-making process fosters a more substantial personal investment in school policies and programs, increasing dedication to the work to improve teachers’ dedication to their work and the quality of education their students receive; this study has significant implications for school administration and professional development programs for educators. This research further examines the real-world consequences for school administrators and policymakers who want to foster an atmosphere encouraging teachers to be emotionally intelligent and have a voice in classroom decisions.

Abstract:
Although previous research has highlighted the association between emotional intelligence (EI) and job satisfaction, the underlying mechanisms remain relatively unexplored. To address this gap, this study examined employee engagement as a potential mediator of the association. A multi-occupational sample of 405 Spanish professionals completed the Wong Law Emotional Intelligence Scale, the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale and an Overall Job Satisfaction Scale as well as providing socio-demographic data. As expected, employees’ EI was positively related to engagement dimensions (vigour, dedication and absorption) as well as overall job satisfaction. Bootstrap estimates from multiple mediation analysis confirmed that employees’ perceived EI was indirectly associated with job satisfaction via vigour and dedication scores, even when controlling for the effects of socio-demographic variables. Similarly, the same pattern was found when multiple mediation was conducted for each EI dimension. Our study contributes to understanding of the processes involved in maintaining and enhancing positive attitudes at work, providing the first, encouraging evidence that work engagement play a role in the EI-job satisfaction link. Our results extend the EI literature by elucidating the pathways through which EI is linked to positive employee attitudes and suggests that intervention programs designed to bolster EI might prove effective at increasing job satisfaction.

Psychological capital, self-leadership, and mindfulness are assumed to be theoretically linked with important implications for work engagement. This article presents a conceptual model by combining together, for the first time, psychological capital, self-leadership, mindfulness, and work engagement. The sample comprised 407 employees from a variety of organisations. The results showed that psychological capital has a positive influence on work engagement, that self-leadership is a stronger determinant of psychological capital than mindfulness, and that psychological capital fully mediates the influence of self-leadership on the dedication component of work engagement and partially mediates the self-leadership–vigour relationship and the influence of mindfulness on vigour and dedication – both components of work engagement. Overall, the data suggested the importance of developing employees’ personal resources in order to enhance work engagement.

Abstract:
Work engagement represents a positive work-related state of mind characterized by three dimensions: Vigor (high levels of energy and mental resilience during work), Dedication (strong involvement in one’s work), and Absorption (complete-joyous immersion in one’s tasks). This study aimed to investigate work engagement and burnout in health professionals in a private healthcare unit in Greece. A cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 151 professionals, including doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and other health professionals involved in this setting. The study duration was four months (January–April 2022). The questionnaire covered sociodemographic and work-related information, along with the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale and the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Regarding the subdimensions of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, participants demonstrated a moderate score in Absorption and medium to high scores in Vigor and Dedication. In terms of burnout, they showed a low score in Depersonalization, a medium score in Emotional Exhaustion, and a high score in Personal Accomplishment. Those with nonpermanent employment contracts scored higher in all dimensions of burnout compared to those with permanent employment contracts. Vigor, Dedication, and Absorption correlated negatively with Emotional Exhaustion and Depersonalization and positively with Personal Accomplishment. Vigor negatively predicted Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization, and Personal Accomplishment. In conclusion, healthcare professionals in the private healthcare sector in Greece demonstrate moderate work engagement and experience moderate burnout. There are differences in work engagement and burnout based on sociodemographic and work-related characteristics. Promoting work engagement (especially the dimension of Vigor) is essential to preventing and addressing burnout among healthcare professionals.

Abstract:
Ukrainian literature is an integral part of the world civilizational process, a phenomenon of national cultural development, because during the historical progress it has generated educational and patriotic tendencies of past, present generations, addressed to the future. The article reveals a polylogist led by Leonid Glebov with famous Ukrainian worlds of spirit. His poems with dedications to contemporaries and contemporaries were published: Elena Pchiltsi, Sofia Rusova, Mykola Lyssenko, Alexander Tyszczynski. The information about the Gleb friend of Alexander Tyszynski, co-publisher of «Chernihovsky’s leaf », based on an essay by Boris Grinchenko «Alexander Tyshchinsky» (1896), about Ivan Rashevsky, author of the drawing to the 50th edition of Leonid Glibov’s literary work in « Call» (1891), based on the memoirs of Sophia Rusova (1928). Borys Grinchenko’s letter to Maria Zahirnya dated 1899.VII.1 about the commemoration of Leonid Hlibov in Chernihiv (1899) has been put into scientific circulation, G. Kovalenko’s recollections about the consecration of the monument at his grave (1899) are presented. Attention is drawn to the fact that this year marks the 130th anniversary of the Ukrainian writer’s death. L. Hlibov resorts to the genre of dedication poem in his work. This is an important component of his poetic works, because it performs non-literary and actually artistic functions. The non-literary meaning of the dedication is usually associated with a friendly attitude towards the addressee, his activities. It is through this function that the author makes the appropriate artistic choice of presenting the material. In the works of L. Hlibov, dedications are addressed to Elena Pchiltsa, Sofia Rusova, Mykola Lysenko, Oleksandr Tyshchynskyi. The variation of the dedication genre as a way of semantic heterogeneity is the result of the content meaning of the poetic work. Dedicatory poems are not only aesthetic phenomena, but also additional factual material for the study of biography, worldview of the lyricist, literary process, and cultural relations. We have valuable historical facts, materials related to further creative scientific research, research, appreciation of cultural figures, the literary process, which are important not only for Ukraine, but also for the world literary process, confirming the role of the Ukrainian nation in world history and culture.

Abstract:
Previous research links religiosity/spirituality with a wide variety of organizational functions and practices, and, in particular, with management processes and leadership practices. Building on Huber’s concept of the centrality of religiosity, we propose that religiosity can also affect career choice and development—in particular, work orientation styles and work engagement. We also suggest that these relationships can be moderated by gender. The hypotheses were tested on a sample of 219 adult employees (Mage = 37.7, SDage = 9.2) in a cross-sectional study. Findings provide support the religiosity–career orientation style link and the moderating function of gender in the relationship of the centrality of religiosity with work orientation styles and work engagement. Specifically, the higher the centrality of religiosity, the stronger the calling orientation among women and the higher the job orientation among men. The higher the centrality of religiosity, the stronger the vigor, dedication and absorption among women and the lower the vigor, dedication and absorption among men. Our study supports the claim that being religious is related to the acceptance of traditional worldviews on gender roles at work. However, religiosity is a source of motivation to engage at work for women, whereas for men, high religiosity can reduce engagement in work.

Abstract:
Purpose - This study aimed to analyze and compare the relationship between the dimensions of work engagement and work effectiveness before and during the confinement period. Design/methodology/approach - A quantitative study was conducted to gather primary data from a population of professors working in higher education at Brazilian universities (n = 1,147). Descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling using partial least squares, along with data comparison analyses, were performed for the analysis. Findings – The study found that, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, vigor and dedication were positively related to professors’ effectiveness, whereas absorption showed no significant relationship. During the pandemic, both dedication and absorption became significant, but vigor did not. Engagement levels increased significantly across all dimensions, although perceived effectiveness did not show a meaningful change. These results highlight a shift in the engagement-effectiveness relationship during confinement. Originality – This study offers significant theoretical and practical contributions by comparing work engagement and effectiveness across distinct contexts. It enhances the understanding of how external disruptions, such as a pandemic, reshape academic work dynamics and emphasizes the role of dedication and absorption in sustaining effectiveness under remote conditions.

Abstract:
This study investigated the influence of stress appraisal and coping on work engagement levels (Absorption, Vigour, and Dedication) of police recruits. Participants were 387 men, ages 20 to 33 yr. ( M = 24.1, SD = 2.4), in their last month of academy training before becoming police officers. Partially in support of predictions, work engagement was associated with Stressor control perceived, but not Stress intensity experienced over a self-selected stressor. Although the three dimensions of work engagement were explained by Stressor control and coping, Absorption was the dimension better explained by these variables. Police recruits reporting higher Absorption, Vigour, and Dedication reported using more Active coping and less Behavioural disengagement. Results showed that stress appraisal and coping are important variables influencing work engagement among police recruits. Findings suggested that future applied interventions fostering work engagement among police recruits should reinforce perceptions of control over a stressor as well as Active coping strategies.

Stress management was also deemed challenging, with employees unable to manage mental distractions caused by non-fulfilment of obligations. The study suggests the need for a work-life balance improvement program for BPO employees in remote work settings.

Abstract:
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of teacher autonomy on dedication to the teaching profession according to teacher perceptions. The research was designed in the causal relational survey model to determine the relationship between teacher autonomy and dedication to the teaching profession. The study population of the research consisted of 475 teachers working in primary schools in the city center of Bolu, and feedback was obtained from 318 teachers. Teacher Autonomy Scale and Teaching Profession Scale were used as data collection tools in the research. Parametric tests were used in my research because the data showed a normal distribution. According to the results of the research, although it is a positive result that teachers' autonomy is at a high level in the dimensions of scale total, teaching process, and professional communication autonomy, it is a remarkable result that it is at a medium level in the dimensions of curriculum autonomy and professional development autonomy. Teachers' perceptions of dedication to the profession are high in all dimensions, including commitment to the profession, devotion to students, and self-sacrificing work on the total scale. In general, there is a positive, moderate, and high level significant relationship between the whole and dimensions of the teacher autonomy scale and the scale of dedication to the teaching profession. Teacher autonomy is a significant predictor of commitment to the teaching profession. Teacher autonomy scale sub-dimensions: the scale of dedication to the teaching profession significantly predicts the dimensions of commitment to the profession, dedication to students, and selfless work.

Abstract:
Abstract Firefighters are at significant risk for burn injuries. Most are minor and do not significantly affect ability to work in full capacity, but there exists risk for both short- and long-term incapacitation. Many push for earlier return to work than is medically advisable. An online cross-sectional survey was sent to a statewide Professional Firefighters’ Union. Multiple-choice format was used to assess demographics, injury details, medical care received, and return to work, with free-text format for elaboration. The survey was sent to 30,000 firefighters, with 413 (1.4%) responses. After exclusions, 354 remained for analysis with 132 burn-injured. Burns were small and affected the head (45.5%) and upper extremities (43.2%). Reported gear use was 90.7%, and the majority were not treated at a Burn Center. While 12 (12.1%) returned prematurely, nearly half knew a colleague who they felt had returned too soon. Factors cited include firefighter culture, finances, pressure from peers and employers, dislike of light duty, and a driving desire to get back to work. While many cite love of the job and a culture of pride and camaraderie that is “in our DNA,” firefighters’ decisions to return to work after burn injury are equally driven external pressures and obligations. Additional education is needed, which may best be facilitated by treatment at a Burn Center. Improved understanding of factors driving firefighters’ views on returning to duty after injury may help establish support systems and improve education regarding risks of premature return to work, particularly with regard to reinjury.

Abstract:
In this paper, the author examines two under-treated problems related to the life and work of Petar II Petrović Njegoš. In the first part, the author points to the controversy regarding the dedication of the Ray of the Microcosm, drawing attention to the study of Njegoš’s contemporary Yegor Kovalevsky, which suggests that the Ray was dedicated to Pushkin, which confirms the suspicion Simo Milutinović substituted the dedications to the Serbian Mirror and the Ray of the Microcosm. In the second part of the paper, the author analyzes the motives of Njegoš’s disapproval of Life and Adventures by Dositej Obradović expressed in a letter to Serbian Prince Miloš Obrenović in 1837.

Abstract. Work engagement is motivation, positivity, fulfillment, and an individual's perspective which is characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption (Schaufeli et al., 2002). Work life balance is the ability to achieve goals and fulfill various demands of work and life and achieve satisfaction in all aspects of life (Fisher and Bulger, 2012). The aim of this research is to determine the effect of work life balance on work engagement in working mothers. The subjects in this study were 105 working mothers. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The work life balance measuring tool uses the Work Life Balance Scale by Fisher, Bulger and Smith (2009) which has been adapted into Indonesian by Gunawan et al (2019). Meanwhile, the work engagement measuring tool uses the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9 (UWES-9) by Schaufelli and Bakker (2003) which has been adapted into Indonesian by Kristiana et al (2018). The research results show that work life balance has an influence of 28.1% on work engagement among working mothers.&#x0D; Abstrak.
