American Puppetry: Collections, History and Performance, edited by Phyllis T. Dircks identifies the need for this work in her introduction when she, rightly, comments that “[f]ortunately, thousands of puppets from various cultures and many time periods have been collected by scholars, enthusiasts and curators, who wisely realized that these material images can teach us much about the society for which they were crafted” (4). I work in the film business, making animated films with puppets. These films are not cartoons, yet neither are they quite live puppetry; they are a blend of both. Puppet animation is a performance, as much as any live presentation is; but it is a performance that is recorded in time, frame by frame. The moving, living character exists only on film. The puppet performance must somehow be created outside of time. Each second of movement is broken down into as many as twenty-four separate poses. The animator must live … feel … and act … in small steps of time.

Background, problems and innovations of the study. The modern Puppet Theater in Poland is a phenomenon that is very difficult for definition and it opposes its own identification itself. Problems here start at the stage of fundamental definitions already. In English, the case is simpler: “doll” means a doll, a toy, and “puppet” is a theatrical puppet, as well as in French functions “poupée” and “marionette” respectively. In Polish, one word serves both semantic concepts, and it is the reason that most identify the theater of puppets with theater for children, that is a big mistake. Wa

Abstract:
Abe Kōbō is a prominent Japanese writer with international influence. He is often described as "mukokuseki," meaning stateless or without a national identity. Throughout his career, Abe was involved in various artistic groups such as Yoru-no-kai, Shimoma-ruko-bunka-syuudan, and Genzai-no-kai, to name but a few. Beads, potsherds and finger-marked bricks suggest it may be one of the earliest villages of Bagan. Its historical architecture includes the rare Nanphaya sandstone temple with images of Brahma. Other significant traits of Myinkaba include the large seasonal lake or inn gyi, silica-rich san

Thanks to the content, to the form of his plays and to the technique used, I.L. Caragiale is considered one of the precursors of the absurd theater and one of the creators of the modern concept of theater because he abandoned the traditional romantic forms of a literary theater in favor of a theatrical theater, revising the original constitutive elements of dramatic art: movement, pantomime, mimicry, puppetry, masks, the plastic element, the play of lights and shadows, the theatrical word. Caragiale's comedies, like the later theater of the absurd, suffer from a crisis of action, his theater i
