Abstract:
The licensing process of copyrighted materials, especially songs and music for a film, is one of the responsibilities that a producer should fulfill, aside from other responsibilities like financing the film and managing all the needs of the cast and crew. However, the knowledge and awareness about copyright and music licensing are still very low in Indonesia. In this research, the writer will find out about the process of music licensing for a short movie. Through this research, we will look into the music licensing process for film, and national and international film festivals.

Abstract:
This study reveals distinctive new forms of screen industry convergence with deep implications for creators themselves and the screen industry in general. It is the first longitudinal study of veteran YouTubers and established TV producers making highly popular serial narrative web-series together, and it shows the professional outcomes from this rapprochement. Fourteen teams from the Google/Screen Australia initiative Skip Ahead and three teams of professional writer-producers were tracked as they launched web-series on YouTube. This study showed the majority of teams parlayed highly viewed web-series into license deals with digital broadcasters and online streamers, and thus potentially sustainable careers.

Watson, Robert Stewart. "Richard Rorty, innovation strategies & movie inspiration." Thesis, Queensland University of Technology, 2010. https://eprints.qut.edu.au/41465/1/Robert_Watson_Thesis.pdf.

Abstract:
Movie innovation is a conversation between screenwriters and producers in our mixed economy – a concept of innovation supported by Richard Rorty and Aristole's Poetics. During innovation conversations, inspired writers describe fresh movie actions to empathetic producers. Some inspired actions may confuse. Writers and producers use strategies to inquire about confusing actions. This Australian study redescribes 25 writer-producer strategies in the one place for the first time. It adds a new strategy. And, with more evidence than the current literature, it investigates writer inspiration, which drives film innovation. It reports inspiration in pioneering, verifiable detail.

Abstract:
In this study I have met three authors in a dialogue seminar on their literary work. The discussion, starting from texts by Lacan and Socrates, revolved around the dichotomy of personal and private, and how to benefit from personal material in one’s literary work. The three authors reflected on the writer Karl Ove Knausgård and the photographer Sally Mann, who both are working with their own immediate family as a motif. In Knausgård, you can find a strong and self-dissecting writer persona as a medium of creating recognition in the readers mind. In Sally Mann the metaphorical dimensions of this family motifs transforms them to images of much more general relevance than their private settings. On the subject of truth and story I also reflect on the different approaches that the authors Primo Levi, Viktor Frankl and Imre Kertész have on their experiences of the Holocaust. Finally the importance and relevance of metaphors as a way of getting a touch of one’s own private material is starting to be investigated.<br>I det här arbetet har jag samlat tre författare i olika genrer till ett dialogseminarium om sin arbetsprocess.

Abstract:
This paper proposes and evaluates Home-based Adaptive Protocol (HAP), a software distributed shared-memory system. HAP performs two key functions that distinguish it from most other distributed shared-memory systems: detection of sharing patterns and behavior adaptation based on these patterns. Detection consists of identifying any change in the sharing pattern of a shared page. Adaptation consists of using a strategy that is specific to the sharing pattern detected to optimize the performance of the system. More specifically, HAP uses updates to maintain the coherence of single-writer pages, which fall under the migratory and producer-consumer sharing patterns. Invalidations are used to maintain the coherence of multiple-writer pages, which can potentially be falsely shared. As part of HAP's adaptation strategy, we dynamically assign homes to pages based on their sharing patterns. We performed preliminary experiments on an 8-node cluster of PCs. Our results show that the current implementation of HAP substantially improves the performance of single-writer applications in which shared pages are modified in critical sections protected by locks. The results also indicate potential improvement in the performance of applications exhibiting other sharing patterns such as producer-consumer, single-writer between barriers. However, the detection and adaptation techniques for these patterns have to be redesigned to exploit the real performance gains that can be achieved with the adaptive system.
