The article presents a comparison of times needed for creating a mobile application for Android and iOS system using multi-platform Xamarin technology and respective native technologies for both systems. The authors’ application was implemented in three programming environments: VisualStudio (using Xamarin technology), Android Studio and XCode. The results of the conducted research have shown that thecreation of an application in Xamarin technology takes approximately half the time.

Comparison concerns the number of generated lines of code, performance of each part and size of installed application and size of apk installation file. Este trabalho visa fazer um estudo comparativo entre Xamarin e CronApp, fazendo com que possa criar uma aplicação usando uma única linguagem de programação, C# com o Xamarin e CronApp, ferramenta hibrida possibilitando construções de aplicações, sistemas web, mobile robustos de modo rápido, dinâmico e seguro. Deve-se notar que cada plataforma tem uma linguagem de programação e uma IDE específica. Além disso, é interessante apresentar as funcionalidades da ferramenta duas ferramentas, que visam aliviar a necessidade de desenvolvimento duplicado para a criação de aplicativos e meios para criar uma aplicação nativa com o uso da ferramenta Xamarin para o desenvolvimento de aplicativos nativos e CronApp para desenvolvimentos híbridos. Nessa perspectiva, há uma tentativa de evitar o retrabalho, o que permitiu o surgimento das ferramentas. O desenvolvimento entre plataformas e, portanto, a Xamarin se destaca por ser capaz de gerar aplicativos para diferentes plataformas a partir da mesma base de código já o CronApp se destaca pelo desenvolvimento sem necessitar de saber muito sobre desenvolvimento.

The results concerning the time analysis for selected activities were compared in order to determine whether cross-platform tools are worth using in mobile application development. Native applications achieved better performance, however in some cases the cross-platform approach allows for significant development time reduction without deterioration in user experience.

Abstract In many cases medical diagnosis is based on information obtained through a process involving the emission of different forms of ionizing radiation. The safety of the medical staff and patients exposed to ionizing radiation is highly dependent on the proper design of the shielding used in the laboratory. Therefore, the authors propose a multi-platform application supporting such a design through the computation of the critical parameters of shielding. The specific requirements for shielding are defined by government authorities so the algorithm must comply with all the written standards. The application was implemented using Xamarin. Forms for cross-platform development. The results obtained with the use of the developed tool were compared with those calculated manually for the design of stationary shields developed, deployed, and validated by local inspection.

In this research paper, the strategies, design, development and implementation of a pilot project for class room attendance management systems is explained in detail. As a pilot project, mobile app is built on Android platform using Xamarin programming. Prototype of proposed system provides high level of authentication by embedding face recognition and biometric verification together with RFID system. Though given model features are specially designed for our college needs, but this model can be modified for general usage and can be applied for all academic levels i.e. school, college, universities. Among the other features of system, one important feature is selection of system to work in smart mode in which system closes after predefined time and uploaded automatically to the web server.</p>

Collaboration in research is essential for saving time and money. The field of high-energy physics (HEP) is no different. The higher level of collaboration the stronger the community. The HEP field encourages organizing various events in format and size such as meetings, workshops and conferences. Making attending a HEP event easier leverages cooperation and dialogue and this is what makes Indico service defacto a community standard. The paper describes HEPCon, a cross-platform mobile application which collects all information available on Indico and makes it available on a portable device. It keeps most of the data locally which speeds up the interaction. HEP-Con uses a shared code base which allows easy multiplatform development and support. There are iOS and Android implementations available for free download. The project is based on C# and we use the Xamarin mobile app technology for building native iOS and Android apps. SQLite database is responsible for retrieving and storing conference data. The app can be used to preview data from past CHEP conferences but the tool is implemented generic enough to support other Indico events.

El presente trabajo busca generar una automatización mediante una aplicación móvil con la cual los usuarios que cuenten con un vehículo, ofrezcan a las personas una opción de viaje a sus destinos, basada en su ruta diaria y a un precio accesible. La idea surge de la necesidad de que los usuarios conductores puedan tener un ingreso extra llevando pasajeros dentro de su recorrido, y a su vez, los pasajeros puedan contar con una aplicación alternativa más económica que les permita llegar más rápido a sus destinos finales. Se utilizan herramientas que son tendencia actualmente, como Firebase para la gestión de datos, Xamarin como principal en cuanto al desarrollo, debido a su gran ventaja de reutilizar el mismo código para las plataformas de Android y IOS, como complemento se utilizarán las APIs de Facebook y Google para brindar al beneficiario una alternativa de inicio de sesión, y Google Maps para el despliegue de rutas en un mapa. Los resultados evidencian que el sistema será una gran opción al momento de gestionar la rutas.

Это может стать поводом отложить прием сотрудника на работу, что может быть критично в некоторых ситуациях. На сегодняшний день задача автоматизации контрольно-пропускного пункта является одной из самых важных задач, так необходимо вести учет времени прихода сотрудников на работу, разгрузить очередь, обеспечить безопасность работы предприятия.Цель – разработка компонентов автоматизированного программного обеспечения по учёту рабочего времени персонала.Метод или методология проведения работы: в статье рассмотрен проект по учёту рабочего времени персонала и учёта кадров с использованием среды программирования С#, Xamarin, SQL.Результаты: разработано приложение для компьютеров и мобильных устройств, регистрирующая пользователей для регистрации прохода, и генерирующая уникальные для каждого пользователя коды доступа, которые тут же конвертируются в QR-коды и сравнивающие их с кодами, поданными на считыватель.Область применения результатов: полученные результаты целесообразно применять предприятиям для организации контрольно-пропускного пункта с целью учета времени рабочих.

El agendamiento de citas en peluquerías es un proceso que la mayoría de los locales no ha automatizado, ya que el servicio se brinda de acuerdo a cómo lleguen los clientes, esto es un problema, ya que puede tomar mucho tiempo en recibir el servicio de peluquería. En este sentido, se propone una aplicación capaz de agendar citas para evitar la espera, con el fin de optimizar el mencionado proceso. Se idea la aplicación desde dos perspectivas, la de usuario; es decir, clientes de la peluquería y la de administrador, el cliente solamente elegirá la hora, día y la sucursal en la cual desea ser atendido, el sistema automáticamente asignará la cita con el peluquero indicado, reservará ese tiempo para que no haya problemas, además de eliminar la espera, a su vez, el próximo cliente acudirá al término de la atención del cliente en turno. El desarrollo de la aplicación se realizará bajo Visual Studio XAMARIN, mediante las directrices de la metodología c, los resultados iniciales demuestran la efectividad de la aplicación.

Las actividades cotidianas que el hombre realiza provocan el incremento de los gases de efecto invernadero (GEI), los cuales se encuentran en la atmosfera de manera natural, pero, al aumentar su concentración, su tiempo de permanencia aporta un mayor potencial de calentamiento global, ya que sus concentraciones en el pasado fueron menores a las actuales. Todos los países industrializados generan la mayor contribución de estos GEI. Las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones (TIC) hacen su aporte a la solución de esta problemática con herramientas que ayudan a determinar un índice de CO2 (dióxido de carbono) que produce una actividad específica, el cual se mide en toneladas por año. La aplicación móvil y plataforma web se desarrollaron con el framework ágil SCRUM que contiene sprints y actividades que se agruparon en 4 etapas. Para la arquitectura de desarrollo se utilizó Microsoft.NET. Estas herramientas permiten realizar desarrollos en multiplataforma para diferentes sistemas operativos móviles como IOS o Android con el módulo Xamarin. Los resultados permitieron tener un cálculo de las emisiones generadas de CO2, siendo más relevante aun la oportunidad de compensarlas por medio de las buenas prácticas adoptadas mediante sistemas agroforestales con especies introducidas o nativas.

With the widespread use of mobile applications in daily life, it has become crucial for enterprise software companies to quickly develop these applications for multiple platforms. Cross-platform mobile application development is one of the most adopted solutions for rapid development. Since most of these solutions do not generate native code for the underlying platform, the artefacts generally do not satisfy the requirements defined at the beginning of the project. This study designed and implemented a native code generation framework called Nativator built as a cloud service. The framework, which is capable of producing native code for iOS and Android platforms using web-based user interfaces, was implemented based on an open source compiler platform called “Roslyn”. Four case studies were performed to analyze the execution performance of the applications built with the proposed framework. The experimental results demonstrated that the execution performance of the applications built with Nativator is comparable with the applications generated via the state-of-the-art mobile application development framework called Xamarin. Because this framework was implemented as a cloud service, it has several advantages over traditional approaches such as access from anywhere, no installation and flexible and more resources from cloud infrastructure.

Language is a sign to communicate. In the world, there are many languages that characterize the country, for example, the State of Indonesia which has various regional languages, one of which is the Aceh language which is dominantly used by residents in the Aceh Province to communicate. The purpose of this research is to design and build an android-based digital dictionary application that can be used to make it easier to find translated vocabulary in Indonesian or in Acehnese so that they can be used in general so as to provide convenience for the user. The method used in this thesis is the prototyping method. Based on the test results on the Android-based Indonesian-Aceh application, it can be seen and can conclude several things, namely; The search system is designed to be able to display words in the text file in program code faster because it does not require large data, in the coding process using the auto-search model and an array that matches the application user input string, this dictionary application is designed using Xamarin Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 which can be exported on IOS and Windows Phone systems in a single project built.

The term “mobile learning” (or “m-learning”) refers to using handheld phones to learn and wireless computing as a learning tool and connectivity technology. This paper presents and explores the latest mobile platform for teaching and studying programming basics. The M-Learning tool was created using a platform-independent approach to target the largest available number of learners while reducing development and maintenance time and effort. Since the code is completely shared across mobile devices (iOS, Android, and Windows Phone), students can use any smartphone to access the app. To make the programme responsive, scalable, and dynamic, and to provide students with personalised guidance, the core application is based on an analysis design development implementation and assessment (ADDIE) model implemented in the Xamarin framework. The application’s key features are depicted in a prototype. An experiment is carried out on BS students at a university to evaluate the efficacy of the generated application. A usefulness questionnaire is administered to an experimental community in order to determine students’ expectations of the developed mobile application’s usability. The findings of the experiment show that the application is considerably more successful than conventional learning in developing students’ online knowledge assessment abilities, with an impact size of 1.96. The findings add to the existing mobile learning literature by defining usability assessment features and offering a basis for designing platform-independent m-learning applications. The current findings are explored in terms of their implications for study and teaching practice.

Using mobile devices around the world has already become commonplace. There are a huge number of applications that greatly simplify everyday life: from simple planning of actions and events to paying for goods by simply touching the terminal with a mobile device. That is why the problem of introducing a mobile training application into the educational process is quite relevant. The purpose of this study is to increase the efficiency of the learning process through the use of the adaptive mobile application CATS. The proposed adaptability algorithm will allow you to create a unique training program that will build on existing knowledge and the level of perception of learning material for students. It is proposed to use the analysis of expert systems as mathematical methods. By formalizing the intellectual processes that are carried out by both the teacher and the student, it is possible to automate a certain part of the teacher’s functions, reduce manual labor costs, which will make iteasier to control the educational process, as well as make the learning process more effective. The software of the mobile application was created in the environment of Microsoft Visual Studio Community (Mac) in C# programming language and Xamarin framework. The proposed development is implemented in the educational process of the Belarusian National Technical University, covers all the main components of the learning process, including working with electronic educational and methodical complexes, passing tests, downloading the required information. The mobile application allows you to adapt to various sizes of devices, implemented using modern technologies with adaptation for Android and iOS operating systems.

Windows 10 Mobile is a relatively new operating system (OS), so the development of mobile applications for Windows is very prospective. The authors of the article aim to develop a mobile game application using the mobile phone navigational capabilities for getting the information about the location of state institutions, educational institutions, shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment establishments in the city of Melitopol, as well as about the location of audiences of Melitopol Bohdan Khmelnytsky State Pedagogical University. A number of tasks are solved to develop a mobile game navigation application. Firstly, in order to study the experience of developing such programs, the analysis of existing navigation programs for the Windows 10 Mobile operating system, namely gMaps, Navitel, CityGuide, Latte Locator, is performed. Mobile application requirements for Windows 10 Mobile are analyzed. It is determined that the basic requirement for Windows 10 Mobile application is compliance of its interface to the standards of Universal Windows Platform (UWP). In addition, advanced requirements for the developing of the Windows 10 Mobile multimedia game application are formulated, such as license cleanliness, freeware, performance, intuitive interface, ergonomics, interactivity, and compliance with the universal Windows platform. Secondly, the selection of content for the publication in the program (city maps, university schemes, information about institutions and enterprises of the city, information about pedagogical university audiences) is carried out. Thirdly, the tools for developing a mobile application are chosen, in particular, Visual Studio 2017 and SDK for Windows 10. The development of a multimedia game application for the Windows 10 Mobile operating system was carried out on the Xamarin platform. As a result, the mobile game navigation application is designed. It consists of two parts: "The City Map" and "The Map of the University". The first contains the information about the location of city institutions and enterprises. The second includes the information about the audiences of Melitopol Bohdan Khmelnytsky State Pedagogical University. The article presents the stages and results of developing a mobile gaming navigation application.

Therefore, in order to remain competitive with the world leaders in agricultural production, it is necessary to integrate IoT technologies. It is predicted that the introduction of modern automation technologies in the agro-industrial complex will increase yields more than the inventions of the tractor, herbicides and GMOs. City farming is gradually becoming such a solution. In some megacities, urban farms are built on the rooftops of buildings, and in some places there are entire skyscra¬pers with vertical farms. Experts say that the quality and environmental friendliness of products grown in this way is much higher than that of counterparts grown in a traditional way. In this regard, the relevance in creating an application for a smart farm has been identified. Such an application will allow you to be more attentive to all parameters of plant growth thanks to sensors for humidity, light, temperature and other data that can be transmitted to a smartphone. The purpose of the study is to develop a management and monitoring system for a city farm. Materials and methods. The mobile application is implemented using the Xamarin framework in C# and JavaScript. The firmware for the microcontroller is written in C. Results. The paper provides an overview of management and monitoring systems for smart farms, a methodological comparison of advantages and disadvantages. The architecture of the control and monitoring system was also discovered. Implemented a mobile application and software. The functionality and design of the mobile application has been tested on various devices. Conclusion. The city farm management and monitoring system has been successfully developed. As further scientific work, it is planned to develop a mathematical model for more optimal farm management. This work can be useful in the field of decentralized agriculture.

The recently discovered Tomb 12 at Rio Azul contains some evidence in support of my "zenith" reading for one of the collocations Closs reads as xaman, "north." A positionally literal reading of the astronomical glyphs associated with the directional collocations on the walls of that tomb is consistent with a directional system based on zenith and nadir, but not one based on north and south. Furthermore, Closs's reading does not account for the demonstrable na reading for the prefix in that collocation. On the other hand, his evidence for reading the second collocation as xaman is compelling, and the polyvalency of T566 seems well established.

Coggins and Bricker have accepted my phonetic reading of one version of the north glyph as xaman, "north." Nevertheless, they maintain that the traditional north-south axis in Maya directional symbolism pertains more properly to a zenith-nadir axis. In my response I argue against that position and provide evidence that the cardinal directions played a fundamental role in mesoamerican cosmology. These directions are interpreted in a relatively loose sense as sectors on the horizon and not as cardinal points. In particular, the north direction is viewed as a sector on the horizon centered at a point which is approximately 14 degrees east of north. The evidence includes three independent proofs of the cardinal direction hypothesis. These proofs specifically implicate the four Maya directional glyphs as symbols of the four cardinal directions.

AbstractEl trabajo presenta una propuesta de tipología de malacates procedentes de distintos sitios de las tierras bajas mayas del norte tales como Chichen Itza, Ciudad Caucel, Dzidzilche, Ek Balam, Poxila, Siho, Isla Cerritos, Ichpaatun y Xaman Susula. Tales malacates corresponden a temporalidades que van desde el período preclásico hasta el posclásico. El análisis de esta muestra se basa en la correlación de sus atributos formales. Otros atributos tales como el tipo cerámico, el contexto del hallazgo y sus elementos decorativos y simbólicos también son considerados. El principal objetivo es demostrar que en la península de Yucatan hay evidencia de una continuidad de la presencia de la industria textil, así como cambios en la forma y el uso de los malacates, que muy probablemente sirvieron para el hilado de fibras de algodón. Consideramos que estos objetos en el área maya, muestran una estrecha relación con las labores femeninas, esto a partir de su contrastación con datos provenientes de las fuentes etnohistóricas, de las representaciones iconográficas sobre la actividad textil y los mismos malacates provenientes de otras regiones de Mesoamérica, principalmente el centro de México. De manera particular, pretendemos determinar si es posible obtener información complementaria sobre el tipo de fibras que se hilaban con ellos o cuestiones más complejas, como la atribución de género y estatus, que son aspectos recurrentes en la interpretación de estos materiales arqueológicos.

This article discusses the existing popular tools for mobile cross-platform application development. It is contrasted with the so – called native application development-when applications are created using the tools provided by the development companies of the respective platforms. Google provides a tool like Android Studio for its Android mobile operating system. The main programming languages used to create applications for this platform are Java and Kotlin. Apple, in turn, offers developers such an integrated development environment as XCode, in which development is carried out using the Swift programming language. The authors reviewed some of the most popular tools for cross-platform development, such as React Native, Xamarin and Flutter. React Native is a product developed by the company Facebook. It inherits the main technological aspects from another framework from Facebook-React. Programming here is conducted in the JavaScript language. React Native is suitable for web developers who have worked with React before and now want to try their hand at developing mobile applications. Xamarin is a framework supported by Microsoft. It provides tools for creating cross-platform applications for the iOS and Android mobile operating systems. This framework is bundled with Microsoft Visual Studio as a downloadable component. What is typical for a Microsoft product, here the C# programming language is used for development. This is a significant advantage of the Xamarin framework: during the creation of a mobile application, developers can use all the important and convenient features of this programming language. Flutter is a tool developed by Google to create apps for Android and iOS using a single code base. Unlike other popular solutions, Flutter is not a framework: it is a set of software development tools that contains everything you need to create cross-platform applications. It includes a visualization engine, ready-made widgets, and tools for working with the command line. The main programming language here is Dart. In the course of studying these tools, the authors made the following conclusions: tools for cross-platform development are an excellent solution if you need to create an application that does not require high performance: displaying information received from the server, simple local information processors, such as applications for social networks, online stores, organizer applications. These tools are not suitable for creating applications that require computing resources.

De um lado, a embriaguez propiciada pela bebida fermentada, de outro, uma espécie de viagem da alma (ou metamorfose do corpo) potencializada pela ingestão de tabaco. Nesse último caso, a conjunção entre agentes humanos e sobrenaturais pode ocasionar uma ruptura no tecido das relações humanas. High communications – ritual and shamanism in Guiana Abstract This article proposes a reflection on the forms of ritual communication in Amerindian Guiana, inspired by examples found among the Wajãpi, a Tupi-Guarani society living in the Brazilian/French Guiana frontier. These forms are those found at the caxiri festivals and xamanic rites. On the one hand there is drunkenness caused by fermented drinks, on the other a sort of travel of the soul (or metamorphosis of the body) helped by the ingestion of tabac. On the last instance, the conjunction between human and supernatural agents may produce a rupture in the tissue of human relations.

Metodologia: La investigación realizada fue de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básico de nivel descriptivo, diseño no experimental y correlacional de corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 120 docentes, la muestra fue de 60 docentes siendo el tipo de muestreo no probabilístico intencionado. Los datos se recolectaron haciendo uso de la técnica de la encuesta y se utilizó como instrumento un cuestionario para cada variable de estudio. Resultados los análisis estadístico refieren que existe relación positiva media (r = 0,430, donde p < de 0,05) entre los niveles de la gestión de la Ley 29719 que promueve la convivencia sin violencia y la convivencia escolar. Conclusión: La gestión de la ley 29719 en la institución Luis Fabio Xamar Jurado; se relaciona en un nivel medio en relación alas relaciones interpersonales, normas institucionales, practica de valores y participacion estudiantil.Palabras clave: Gestión, Ley 29719, convivencia, violencia.
