Abstract:
Xiao County, Anhui Province, contains rich content, profound meaning, exquisite carving techniques. It is an outstanding representative and cultural and art treasure of China's culture and art. It is a decorative stone mural carved in the underground tomb and cemetery ancestral halls. It is the perfect combination of painting and carving, and also the comprehensive embodiment of the folk art in the Han Dynasty. This paper briefly expounds the origin and development of Han stone in Xiao County, Anhui, discusses the cultural spirit connotation of Han Dynasty, excavates the aesthetic art contained in Han stone in Xiao County, Anhui, and reflects the artistic expression of Han stone in Xiao County, Anhui.

Abstract:
In order to understand the characteristics of heavy metal pollution in shallow groundwater in farmland in Huaibei Plain, 69 samples were collected from typical farmland areas in Xiaoxian County to determine the content of heavy metal elements such as Cr, Zn, Cu, Cd, and Ni. The single-factor pollution index method and Nemerow comprehensive index method are used to evaluate and analyze the pollution degree and the health risk assessment method is used to explore the health risk level. The results show that the concentrations of Cr, Zn, Cu, Cd and Ni were respectively 1.27μg∙L-1~268.78μg∙L-1, 0.45μg∙L-1~ 266.1μg∙L-1, 1.77μg∙L-1~ 29.8μg∙L-1, 0.10μg∙L-1~ 21.54μg∙L-1 and 0.9μg∙L-1~ 252.85μg∙L-1. The Nemerow comprehensive index of each heavy metal element is 0.031~5.507, and the pollution degree is Ni>Cr>Cd>Zn>Cu. The Nemerow comprehensive pollution index of each sampling point is 0.251~9.325, with an average value of 1.934. The overall value is 9.523, and the pollution level is extremely poor. The overall health risk is at a risk-free health level. There are 19 samples which the carcinogenic risk index of the Cr is greater than 10-4, and the number of samples with health risks accounts for 27.5%. Cr is the main source of heavy metal health risks in shallow groundwater in farmland.

Abstract:
AbstractThe Xiaoxia anticline is a basement-cored fold in the northeastern Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau. It formed during the Middle–Late Cenozoic in a NNE-orientation oblique to prevailing WNW-striking thrusts in the surrounding region. The fold lies within the fault-bounded Xining Basin, which has behaved as a clockwise rotating and internally deforming block during the mid–late Tertiary. Proterozoic crystalline basement rocks and Jurassic–Cretaceous–Cenozoic terrestrial sediments exposed within the fold record three separate oblique-slip deformation events as determined by cross-cutting generations of faults and folds. The modern Xiaoxia anticline developed by: (1) outward-directed thrusting on the two fold limbs and, (2) oblique-slip thrusting on closely spaced minor NNE-striking faults that caused distributed uplift and passive shear folding of the sedimentary cover within the fold core. Tilted and thrusted river terraces on the flanks of the Xiaoxia anticline dated by optically stimulated luminescence and electron spin resonance indicate that folding has continued into the Late Quaternary (post-45.5 ± 5.5 ka) and therefore may still be active today. The development of the Xiaoxia anticline appears to be best explained in the context of the kinematic evolution of the Xining Basin's bounding strike-slip faults. Formation of the Xiaoxia anticline demonstrates that partitioned transpression in an evolving transpressional setting can invert intra-montane basins and produce basement-cored folds, thereby contributing to regional plateau uplift.

Abstract:
This chapter closely traces the evolution of Hou Xiaoxian's contentious modes of place making while he shot on-location in China for the “Taiwan Trilogy," where Southern Chinese locales sometimes substituted for Taiwan’s historical settings. Location shooting in China for City of Sadness presented Hou with his first opportunity to perform a role as a cultural ambassador in an unprecedented period of cross-strait geopolitical thaw. After cross-strait relations became more normalized, Hou widely publicized his intentions of location shooting in Fujian for The Puppetmaster (1993). During this shoot, Hou articulated his theory of “authenticating life,” or the reenactment of lived experience. To authenticate the life of famed Taiwanese puppeteer Li Tianlu, whom he believed to be a living embodiment of Chinese-ness, Hou re-staged live budaixi shows in Fujian, hoping the environmental aura of present-day China would conjure for Li memories of colonial-era Taiwan. Assistant director Chen Huaien, however, counters that it was Taiwanese culture which required salvaging, not China’s. “Authenticating life,” Chen implied, relied on inauthentic means of reenactment to produce what only felt superficially authentic. The final section explores this contradiction as it is manifested in Good Men, Good Women (1995) – Hou’s first, and final film to feature present-day Chinese settings. I demonstrate that the filmmakers were unable to experience their production environments in Guangdong as anything more than through a “tourist gaze.” Hou finally experienced the constraints of “authenticating life,” and more broadly, the complexities of salvaging cultural Chinese heritage in an increasingly volatile period of cross-strait relations.

Abstract:
Despite the success of vision Transformers for the image deraining task, they are limited by computation-heavy and slow runtime. In this work, we investigate Transformer decoder is not necessary and has huge computational costs. Therefore, we revisit the standard vision Transformer as well as its successful variants and propose a novel Decoder-Free Transformer-Like (DFTL) architecture for fast and accurate single image deraining. Specifically, we adopt a cheap linear projection to represent visual information with lower computational costs than previous linear projections. Then we replace standard Transformer decoder block with designed Progressive Patch Merging (PPM), which attains comparable performance and efficiency. DFTL could significantly alleviate the computation and GPU memory requirements through proposed modules. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superiority of DFTL compared with competitive Transformer architectures, e.g., ViT, DETR, IPT, Uformer, and Restormer. The code is available at https://github.com/XiaoXiao-Woo/derain.

Abstract:
Although humanity has faced many plaques and epidemics from antiquity, the COVID-19 came as a tidal wave, overwhelming nations and governments. Restrictive measures, social distancing and ultimately lockdown and quarantine, emerged as a response to decelerate the spread of the disease and save human lives. These measures may have decreased COVID-19 cases, they had, however, an adverse impact on economic activity and stock markets (Ashraf, 2020). Research shows that the pandemic has already influenced the United States (the US), Germany, and Italy‘s stock markets more than the global financial crises (Shehzad, Xiaoxing, & Kazouz 2020)
