Abstract:
Iron oxides/hydroxides are important magnetic minerals to provide information about changes in the forming environment. However, the magnetic behavior in agate has been rarely investigated. In this study, the magnetic behavior of the Xuanhua-type agate with intense yellow to red colors from the Xuanhua District (China) was investigated by temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility, hysteresis loop, isothermal remanent magnetization and the analysis of remanent coercivity components from the gradient acquisition plot. Yellow goethite and red hematite can be quantitatively identified by XRD and Raman spectroscopy due to their relatively higher content. Results showed that the red, yellow and orange Xuanhua-type agate had different magnetic behavior, and magnetite existed in the yellow and orange ones. Fluid inclusions in such agate had the homogenization temperature of ~168 °C to 264 °C. All results suggested that the dehydration of goethite to form hematite was the main reason for the high remnant coercivity (above 1000 mT) of hematite in the red agate. The co-existence of magnetite and goethite in the yellow and orange agate reflects the transformation from Fe2+ to Fe3+, indicating the change in the redox property of the environment. Unique patterns mainly formed by hematite and goethite make it a popular gem-material with high research value.

Abstract:
Northwest Hebei province is one of the gold-producing areas in China. Based on a geochronological analysis of the Zhangjiakou-Xuanhua area, zircon U–Pb with an age of 2487–142 Ma and zircon fission-track (ZFT) with a cooling age of 155–66 Ma were obtained. Zircon U–Pb dating of the Xiaoyingpan deposit revealed two ages of 2487 ± 92 Ma and 1745 ± 89 Ma, representing the Archaean and Early Proterozoic metamorphism of the Sanggan Group. The ZFT cooling age of 155 ± 10 Ma represents the deposit’s lower limit metallogenic age. The Shuiquangou (SQG) alkaline complex emplaced at 388.9 ± 3.0 Ma and experienced magmatic activities until the Late Devonian (ca 377 Ma), considering the response to the collision between the Siberian plate and the North China Craton. The emplacement age of Shangshuiquan (SSQ) granite is 142.3 ± 1.1 Ma and is coeval with the thinning of the North China Craton during the Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous. The intrusion of SSQ might partially reheat the SQG complex, resulting in the Yanshanian gold mineralization in Dongping. The SQG complex and SSQ granite underwent a relatively consistent rapid cooling process in the Cretaceous based on the ZFT ages.

Abstract:
Water resources vulnerability (WRV) assessment is an important basis for maintaining water resources security in a basin. In this paper, considering the complexity of the water resources system and the uncertainty of the assessment information, a method based on the Bayesian theory was developed for performing WRV assessments while using the constructed indicator system. This system includes four subsystems, the hydrological subsystem, the socioeconomic subsystem, the ecoenvironmental subsystem and the hydraulic engineering subsystem. The WRV degree for each subsystem and the integrated water resources system were assessed. Finally, the assessment results and the characteristics of the Bayesian method were compared with those of the grey relational analysis method and the parametric-system method. The results showed the following. (1) The WRV of the integrated water resources system of the entire Zhangjiakou region was very high; Zhangjiakou City and Xuanhua County have tendencies to belong to Extreme WRV, with probabilities of 26.8% and 25%, respectively, while the other seven administrative counties have tendencies to belong to High WRV, with probabilities ranging from 24.6% to 27%. (2) Compared with the parametric-system method and the grey relational analysis method, the Bayesian method is simple and can effectively address the uncertainty issues with the reliable WRV assessment results.

Full text
Abstract:
Sunflower broomrape (Orobanche cumana Wallr.) is a holoparasitic plant that penetrates the vascular system of sunflower roots, absorbs plant nutrients and water, and thus causes stunting, reduced growth, and severe yield losses (3). To date, seven races of sunflower broomrape (O. cumana) have been identified by using international standard race differential hosts in Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Turkey, and Russia (4). However, the race types present in China are unknown. To identify the race composition of sunflower broomrape in China, race differential hosts of sunflower broomrape were received from Dr. Dragan Skoric (Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Novi Sad, Serbia): Line AD66 has no resistant genes; Kruglik-41 contains resistant gene Or1; B-RO-02A has Or2; Record has Or3; LC1002B has Or4; LC1003B has Or5; LC-1093 has Or6, and Race-G-2 has Or7 (1). Eighteen sunflower broomrape samples were collected in August of 2011, 2012, and 2013 from different provinces/locations in China, including Xinjiang (Xinyuan, Shihezi, Tekesi, Beitun, Urumqi, and Yining), Inner Mongolia (Linhe, Xixiaozhao, Wuqianqi, Tuzuoqi, Keyouqianqi, and Aohanqi), Shanxi (Hunyuan, Shilou, Mizhi, and Dingbian), Jilin (Tongyu), and Hebei (Xuanhua). The differential hosts were each inoculated with the seeds of each broomrape isolate that was recovered, as described by Pancenko with minor modification (2). Briefly, two parts of field soil and one part of vermiculite were mixed together and used as potting mix. The mix was inoculated with broomrape seeds at 10 mg of seeds per 100 g of potting mix. The inoculated mix was placed in a 7-cm (diameter) × 11-cm (height) plastic pot to fill two-thirds of the pot volume. Three sunflower seeds were placed on the surface of the mix at an even distance from each other and covered with additional mix. The pots were kept in a greenhouse under a 16-h photoperiod at 10,000 lux of illumination intensity, temperature of 20–25°C, and 40% relative humidity. Forty days after incubation, sunflower seedlings were taken out from the pot and the roots washed with tap water. The number of tubercles was recorded on the root of each differential host. Race types were determined based on the reaction (tubercule formation on roots) of all the standard differential hosts to the test isolate. The results showed that races A, D, E, and G of O. cumana were present among the isolates. Race G was found in Wuqianqi, Xixiaozhao, and Linhe in the western part of Inner Mongolia. Race E was found only in Shihezi of Xinjiang. Race D was found in Aohanqi and Keyouqianqi (eastern part of Inner Mongolia); Xinyuan, Tekesi, Beitun, and Urumqi (northern part of Xinjiang); and Tongyu (northern part of Jilin). Race A was found in Mizhi, Shilou, and Hunyuan of Shanxi province and Xuanhua in Hebei province. Additionally, race A was also found in Tuzuoqi, the middle region of Inner Mongolia. Thus, races A, D, E, and G were the main race types of O. cumana in China. Race D was the predominant race type and had the widest distribution. Race G was the highest level race type in this study but was mainly limited to the western part of Inner Mongolia. This is the first report of race composition and distribution of sunflower broomrape (O. cumana) in China. References: (1) Y. Kaya et al. Helia 40:211, 2004. (2) A. N. Pancenko, Zbirnik VNIIMK. Abstract:
PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to explore the task design and assignment of full-text generation on mass Chinese historical archives (CHAs) by crowdsourcing, with special attention paid to how to best divide full-text generation tasks into smaller ones assigned to crowdsourced volunteers and to improve the digitization of mass CHAs and the data-oriented processing of the digital humanities.Design/methodology/approachThis paper starts from the complexities of character recognition of mass CHAs, takes Sheng Xuanhuai archives crowdsourcing project of Shanghai Library as a case study, and makes use of the theories of archival science, including diplomatics of Chinese archival documents, and the historical approach of Chinese archival traditions as the theoretical basis and analysis methods. The results are generated through the comprehensive research.FindingsThis paper points out that volunteer tasks of full-text generation include transcription, punctuation, proofreading, metadata description, segmentation, and attribute annotation in digital humanities and provides a metadata element set for volunteers to use in creating or revising metadata descriptions and also provides an attribute tag set. The two sets can be used across the humanities to construct overall observations about texts and the archives of which they are a part. Along these lines, this paper presents significant insights for application in outlining the principles, methods, activities, and procedures of crowdsourced full-text generation for mass CHAs.Originality/valueThis study is the first to explore and identify the effective design and allocation of tasks for crowdsourced volunteers completing full-text generation on CHAs in digital humanities.

Abstract:
Molecular and carbon isotopic variation during degassing process have been observed in marine shale reservoirs, however, this behavior remains largely unexplored in terrestrial shale reservoirs. Here, we investigate the rock parameters of five terrestrial shale core samples from the Xiahuayuan Formation and the geochemical parameters of thirty natural gas samples collected during field canister degassing experiments. Based on these new data, the gas composition and carbon isotope variation during canister degassing are discussed and, further, the relationship between petrophysics and the carbon isotope variation is explored. The results show that methane content first increases and then decreases, the concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen gas (N2) peak in the early degassing stage, while heavier hydrocarbons gradually increase over time. Shale gas generated from humic source rocks contains more non-hydrocarbon and less heavy hydrocarbon components than that generated from sapropelic source rocks with similar maturity. Time-series sampling presents an upward increase in δ13C1 value during the degassing process with the largest variation up to 5.7‰, while the variation in δ13C3 and δ13C2 is insignificant compared to δ13C1. Moreover, we find that there is only a small variation in δ13C1 in shale samples with high permeability and relatively undeveloped micropores, which is similar to the limited δ13C1 variation in conventional natural gas. For our studied samples, the degree of carbon isotope variation is positively correlated with the TOC content, micropore volume, and micropore surface, suggesting that these three factors may play a significant role in carbon isotope shifts during shale gas degassing. We further propose that the strong 13C1 and C2+depletion of shale gas observed during the early degassing stage may have resulted from the desorption and diffusion effect, which may lead to deviation in the identification of natural gas origin. It is therefore shale gas of the late degassing stage that would be more suitable for study to reduce analytic deviations. In most samples investigated, significant isotopic variation occurred during the degassing stage at room temperature, indicating that the adsorbed gas had already been desorbed at this stage Our results therefore suggest that more parameters may need to be considered when evaluating the lost gas of shales.

Abstract:
It is an important branch of erosion research to control soil erosion on eroded gullies and slopes by using vegetation filter strip. Several simulated rainfall experiments were carried out in soil tanks filled with loess sandy loam taken from a typical eroded gully area with less vegetation coverage in Yanghe hilly basin in Xuanhua District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. The soil and water conservation effects of two different vegetation setting modes were compared under the same vegetation strip width and different rainfall intensities and slopes. During the rainfall process, the changes of runoff and sediment yield and nutrient loss were not stable, but the same erosion index had similar variation trends under different combinations of rainfall intensity, slope and vegetation coverage. Multiple regression results showed that runoff and sediment production in eroded gully can be effectively reduced through vegetation filter strips, which are jointly affected by rainfall intensity and slope. There was no significant difference in the amount of runoff and sediment yield between the two vegetation setting modes. Rainfall intensity and slope gradient showed different strengths of impact on nutrient loss. Through cluster analysis, the results showed that the impacts of rainfall intensity, slope gradient and vegetation setting modes on soil and water loss on slope can be equal or offset. In general, setting vegetation filter strips can offset the effects of rainfall intensity and slope, but vegetation regulation of erosion was not obvious under extreme rainfall and steep slope conditions. What’s more, rainfall intensity had a dominant effect on erosion. The results in this research may provide reference for practical application of vegetation filter strips on eroded slopes.

Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the regulation effects of Xuanhuang Runtong tablets (XHRTs) on intestinal microbes and inflammatory signal toll receptor 5 (TLR5)/interleukin-17A (IL-17A) in STC mice. First, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to verify the composition of XHRT and quality control. Then, the defecation ability of STC mice was evaluated by measuring fecal water content and intestinal transit function. The pathological examination of colonic mucosa was observed by Alcian Blue and periodic acid Schiff (AB-PAS) staining. 16S ribosomal DNA (16S rDNA) genes were sequenced to detect the fecal microbiota. Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) were applied to detect the expression of aquaporin 3 (AQP3), connexin 43 (Cx43), TLR5, and IL-17A. The defecation function of the STC mice was significantly decreased. The amount of mucus secretion and the thickness of the colonic mucus layer were decreased, and the number of microbial species in the intestinal wall, such as Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes, anaerobic bacteria, and Alistipes, were also decreased. In addition, the expression of AQP3 and Cx43 was disordered, and the inflammatory factorsTLR5 and IL-17A were activated in the colon. The changes in the above indicators were significantly reversed by XHRT. This study demonstrates that XHRT provides a new strategy for the treatment of slow transit constipation by regulating the activation of the intestinal inflammatory signal TLR5/IL-17A mediated by gut microbes.

Abstract A number of studies have described an essential role of cancer stem cells (CSC) in glioblastoma (GBM) progression and recurrence based on isolation by candidate markers. However, a systematic evaluation of the proposed CSC in paired human primary and recurrent glioblastoma has been lacking and whether they represent a unified cell type with conserved features over tumor evolution is unresolved. In this study, we used human patient derived xenografts (PDX) to investigate the status of these cells in patients following therapeutics and recurrence. Firstly, to ensure the fidelity of tumor heterogeneity in serially passaged orthotopic GBM PDX, we collected samples at different passages and performed whole tumor single cell RNA sequencing analysis. The results illustrate the preservation of all unsupervised transcriptional cell clusters through multiple passages. Furthermore, treatment of tumor bearing mice with temozolomide, the standard of care chemotherapeutic drug for glioblastoma patients, increased apoptosis and decreased tumor cell burden but spared CSC. We then turned to paired human primary and recurrent GBM samples to inquire cancer stem cell marker expression and cell distribution. In all three pairs of PDX studied, cancer stem cell marker F3 serves as a reliable means to isolate sphere formation cells and is augmented in the recurrent samples. Inspection of whole tumors with single cell RNA sequencing nails down the enrichment of CSC in recurrent tumors, thus emphasizing the importance to eradicate these cells in future therapeutics. Abstract:
Background. The cultural reforms at the end of the 20th century in China opened to the world a whole variety of genres of Chinese short stories, as well as science fiction and historical fiction. Thanks to the Internet, they are gaining popularity at the present stage of literature formation, expanding the range of genres of online works with new types such as xianxia, xuanhuan, wuxia, which are rich in lexemes that denote the realia of Chinese culture and are of interest to translators. Purpose. The article considers the stratum of equivalent-free vocabulary and reveals a variety of ways to translate realia from Chinese into English and Russian Materials and methods. The research material comprises the popular Chinese short stories of the xianxia genre by the writers Mo Xiang Tong Xiu “Mo Dao Zu Shi” (also known as “The Untamed”), published by Jinjiang Literature City online publishing house (晋江文学城), 2015-2016, and the short story “Divine Doctor: Daughter of the First Wife” by Mo Shu Liu, published by Motie (磨铁图书), 2015. The material was analyzed using the continuous sampling and content analysis method, as well as the lexical-semantic and translation analysis. Results. In this article the authors reviewed the scientific definition of the term “realia”. They also analyzed a new genre of Chinese online literature (xianxia) as one of the rapidly gaining popularity. Examples of realia from two online novels were classified according to the typology by four principles of division (subject, local, temporal, translational). It is defined that the indicated division of analyzed realia while translating them from Chinese into Russian and English manifested itself in creating a neologism, which results in preservation of content and flavor of the translated realia, as well as the descriptive, approximate and contextual types of translation. Practical implications. The practical usefulness of the results of the study consists in the possibility of replenishing the cross-cultural dictionary of Chinese realia with new lexemes and their interpretation in Russian and English, in the use of the analyzed lexemes when compiling the trilingual corpus for linguists, philologists, literary scholars to work with.

Abstract:
The microbial dolomite of the Ediacaran Dengying Fm., Sichuan Basin, SW China is endowed with abundant oil and gas resources. A complex diagenetic history greatly complicates the development of such microbial dolomite reservoirs, and has severely restrained hydrocarbon exploration. This study focused on key field profiles in Eastern Sichuan and aimed to decipher the origin and evolution of dolomites, using novel techniques, including elemental mapping, laser ablation U-Pb dating as well as carbon, oxygen, and strontium isotope analyses. Additionally, we compared the diagenesis and reservoir development model for the Dengying microbial dolomites of the Central Sichuan to other areas, with the aim to provide practical guidance for oil and gas exploration across the entire Sichuan Basin. Our results have shown that the Ediacaran microbial dolomite in Eastern Sichuan experienced four stages of diagenetic modification–specifically: (1) syn-sedimentary dolomitization; (2) penecontemporaneous cementation of fibrous dolomite cement; (3) bladed dolomite and brown-dark very fine crystalline dolomite cementation during the Ordovician; and (4) fine crystalline dolomite and medium-coarse crystalline dolomite cementation during the Silurian-Devonian. Petrology and geochemistry data imply that each diagenetic phase of dolomitization was mainly sourced from marine-dominated fluids. The influence of tectonically related fluids was rarely noted. Significantly, U-Pb ages of these dolomites reveal that the history of dolomite infill to pores within the Eastern Sichuan Basin clearly post-dated that in the Central Sichuan region, resulting in high porosities (6%–11%) that favored hydrocarbon accumulation. This study suggests that the platform margin at the eastern edge of the Xuanhan-Kaijiang paleo-uplift is favorable as the next key exploration target for microbial dolomites in the Sichuan Basin.

Abstract:
Primary education services are a key component of public infrastructure. These services exert significant impacts on public activity, sustainability, and healthy socio-economic development. This research applies the concept of a ‘living circle’ in order to evaluate the spatial equilibrium of education services in existing primary schools. This has enabled equilibrium planning schemes to be proposed for primary schools as well as the promotion and construction of livable and defensible living spaces. This area remains a key issue, however, one that urgently needs to be addressed in terms of the layout of public infrastructural services to facilitate livable living space construction. Thus, from the perspective of livable and defensible living space construction, the aim of this study was to construct a primary education equalization assessment method based on the walking living circle method. An equilibrium index was also designed based on the number of primary school students; this was then combined with the standard construction of new primary schools to optimize the spatial equilibrium of these education services. The city of Zhangjiakou City was then used as a case study; the spatial equilibrium of primary education services was evaluated across four living circle scenarios (i.e., 15 min, 20 min, 25 min, and 30 min). Results reveal that the city of Zhangjiakou currently offers dramatically spatially negative non-equilibrium primary education services (i.e., supply < demand) across four living circle scenarios, but most notably in rural areas away from urban areas and towns, especially in the counties of Shangyi, Chicheng, Chongli, Kangbao, and Guyuan. It is interesting to note that all living circle scenarios could enable positive non-equilibrium primary education services (i.e., supply > demand), mainly within the urban districts of Qiaodong, Xuanhua, Qiaoxi, Wanquan, and Xiahuayuan. It is also clear that equilibrium living circles are distributed across all counties. A spatial optimization proposal for primary school services should therefore be presented that alleviates the issues inherent to non-equilibrium primary education services. The results of this study offer a number of suggestions for education service optimization across the city of Zhangjiakou as well as for other cities in China. We also provide further scientific foundations for research on livable space and defensible unit construction as well as the spatial equilibrium evaluation of other public infrastructural service facilities

Abstract:
The process that led to the creation of self-government organs, and their activities in the first years of their existence, shows a consistent continuity between the imperial and the republican institutions, but also some changes in the institutional behaviour of the representatives of the local communities before and after the 1911’s revolution. The different meaning attributed to the institutional reforms as they appear to have been interpreted by the Qing Court, from the interpretations by the local society - a tools to control the political activism of the local notables vs a means to play a more active role in the local policy -, did not interfere with the creation of the organs of self-government, a part of the new structure to be built for the constitutional monarchy scheduled through imperial edicts on 27th August, 1908. The local activism and activities, as they are illustrated for Sichuan province through provincial and county archive documents, local gazetteers and reviews, show contradictory tendencies even as relates to some officials, and part of local communities anticipating sometimes the dispositions by the central government for the implementations of self-government, and some resistance by the people who had the right to vote in the participation to the preparatory process for the poll. However, the flourishing of self-government councils of the lower level and the fields of their interventions as representatives of the local communities show a very positive attitude on part of the local communities that continued until Yuan Shikai closed them down in 1914. This study will be concentrating on this aspect and will include, among other things, the case-study of Xuanhan county in north-western Sichuan, where a powerful local lineage played a very relevant role, taking advantage of the disruption of the provincial institutional order.

Abstract:
The funeral procession of Sheng Xuanhuai (盛宣懷, 1844–1916) – the renowned Qing scholar-official, financier, and “father of Chinese industrialism” – meandered through the streets of Shanghai on 18 November 1917. The funeral was a grand event, one that was purportedly documented in film, later to be distributed as the first “news short-film” (新聞短片) in China. TheNorth China Heraldreported on the event in some detail, at times in rather florid language, and suggested that “the cortege was splendid and impressive, bringing back the days of the Manchu emperors. The ceremonial costumes, the musical instruments and much more of the accoutrements dated back to the days of the Empire” (“Sheng Kung-pao's Funeral,” 1917, 467–68). And indeed, the procession included a variety of ritual customs and insignia from Qing (1644-1911) times: imperial banners, ancestral tablets, Buddhist and Daoist priests, paper artifacts, and much more. Simultaneously, nonetheless, other kinds of participants and objects – new and not of imperial pedigree – were part of and intermixed with the older materials: certificates of rank were carried on cars; boy scouts and college students marched alongside the priests; many of the participants arrived by train (mainly from Sheng's hometown, Suzhou); and as the Shanghai portion of the procession ended, it continued by steamer to Suzhou. The conclusion of theNorth China Heraldaccount, however, seems to have emphasized a dichotomy of old and new rather than a joyful mix of the two:Hundreds of men, dressed in the ancient costume of the old dynasties, bore a strong contrast to the eight behind them, sons of intimate friends of the deceased. They were on horseback and wore high silk hats, frock coats and white breeches tucked in riding boots.Truly the passing of the old and the entering of the new. (Ibid.; emphasis added)This view – the old giving way to the new – was not just an off-hand (Western) journalistic analysis; it was part of a larger discourse about the nature of modernity, about progress, and about the relationship between East and West. By the early twentieth century, China was often perceived by most Westerners and Chinese alike as traditional, backward, and weak. It was, thus, commonly stated that the old was giving way to the new (descriptive), should be giving way to the new (prescriptive), or was bound to give way to the new (quasi-fatalistic), if China was to survive. This kind of discourse was put forward by both Western and Chinese writers, who embraced this linear, progressive, view of the relationship between the old and the new, well before Sheng's funeral or the Qing's demise. In the aftermath of that demise, the New (not “Modern”) Culture Movement began to grow and seek solutions for the old-new nation's crisis. The Movement's rhetoric in particular advanced the need for the triumph of the new, and journals, such as New People, New Tide, or New Youth (新民, 新潮, 新青年) served as media for extending such views.

Abstract:
Introduction. In Kazakhstan in present time there is a large number of earthmoving works, which leads to an increase in the demand for earthmoving-transport machines (ETM), in particular bulldozers of different types. In various industries and construction projects, the fleet of foreign-made ETM is operated and constantly updated, including the CIS countries (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, etc.) in various type-sizes. So at construction sites, including the construction of roads and railways, bulldozers are widely used: Caterpillar Corporation such as Cat (USA), Liebheer (Germany), Xuanhua Construction machinery Co, Ltd (HBXG) and ZoomLion and Shehwa (China); bulldozers ChTZ-UralTRAK (Russia), etc.The construction of roads and railways with a length of several thousand kilometers is impossible to imagine without the participation of a universal bulldozer. One of the most important components of the bulldozer is the working organ (WO) of the bulldozer. The performance of the bulldozer largely depends on what type of blade is installed on it. Capacity (maximum prism of drawing the soil) is one of the main characteristics determined by the height and width of the blade, and most manufacturers offer add-ons (visor) that makes it possible to increase the height of the blade. Increasing the blade height allows more material to be moved and reduces spillage through the top of the blade. On the other hand, increasing the volume of the drawing prism along the width of the blade is offered by the side cheeks, giving the blade the shape of a bucket. They do not allow the moving soil to fall out on the sides of the blade (side rollers), thereby increasing the volume of material being moved. However, an excessive increase in blade capacity will require additional power costs of the bulldozer during operation, which will cause an increase in loads on the machine components and accelerate the intensity of their wear, especially when the bulldozer moves up the slope. The volume of material moved by the blade in one pass depends, in addition, on the possibility of changing the angle of the blade relative to the vertical and horizontal plane. In modern blade designs, the positions of the angle of inclination are regulated by 4 or 6 positions, depending on the category of soil being developed. The purpose of this study is to optimize the geometric parameters and establish the trapezoidal shape of the blade, taking into account the interaction of its frontal surface with the formed maximum prism of drawing the soil.Materials and methods. As materials, the developed soil and the bulldozer blade were used, the process of their interaction was investigated with the maximum formation of the prism of drawing the soil before the dump, using the graphic-analytical method of research.Results. The process of interaction of the blade with the soil has been optimized by graphic-analytical means, the maximum (maximum permissible) parameters of the blade have been determined, taking into account the traction factor of the bulldozer and the category of the soil being developed.Discussion and conclusion. Until now, the geometric shapes of promising designs of the bulldozer blade were installed mainly by experimental means, without taking into account the contact of the blade area with the ground. Methods for determining the rational shape of the blade have not been developed, especially the theoretically grounded optimal parameters of the WO, taking into account the touch of the longitudinal section of the soil from the frontal surface of the blade. Methods for determining the optimal (adapted) shapes and geometric parameters of the WO were not developed, taking into account the contact of the frontal surface of the blade with the maximum drawing prism. Methods for calculating the optimal parameters of the perspective blade design adapted to the developed soil are proposed:– rational geometric shapes of both the frontal and cross-section of the blade are determined;– mathematical formulas for determining the optimal parameters of the new blade design are presented, namely:the height of the blade and the visor; width of the blade, visor and additional knife-extender;– defined: the perimeter of the blade, the width and height of the side roller, when forming the maximum prism of drawing the soil in front of the blade.

Abstract:
Urban agricultural heritage is an essential subject when investigating urban history. The preservation of it contributes to inheriting farming traditions, supporting local food, and reinforcing the cities’ cultural identity. To emphasize the significance and urgency of preserving urban agricultural heritage, this article first describes the concept of urban agricultural heritage from historical, ecological, social, and economic dimensions. We then choose the traditional urban grape garden in the Ancient City of Xuanhua as a case study. According to a new method we have developed, we provide a comprehensive description of the existing issues in the grape garden and the external factors that impact the study area. The results show that the traditional farming technique has been inherited; the urban fabric of courtyards containing grape funnels has not changed; the study area still lacks social concerns; and a part of households should optimize their business models.

Abstract:
Abstract Contemporary cinema and media studies are marked by a materialist turn that highlights material elements, such as objects, non-human agencies, the environment and places on and off screen, as well as the materiality of media productions and consumption. This article expands on the important scholarship of “materialist” media studies as well as existing ecocinema scholarship by stressing the materiality of digital landscapes in contemporary Chinese fantasy (or qihuan and xuanhuan) film and television works that have gained significant popularity in China and Hong Kong. Specifically, this article examines the animist landscape in film and television adaptions of Eternal Love, a fantasy romance television serial that loosely draws on Daoist mythology. Focusing on the material aspects of digital landscapes of Chinese fantasy cinema, the article develops the notion of the “cinema–ecology complex” to address the materiality of digital landscapes, the cinematic footprint of digitally enhanced landscapes through location shooting and the consumption of landscapes as scenic spots, including daka practices, in film studio cities and related film-induced tourism. Ultimately, this article calls for a textual–infrastructural approach in cinema and media studies, which tends to reorient to the infrastructural aspects of media production, distribution and consumption.

Abstract:
Background: Shuxuan cattle is one newly cultivated dual-purpose breed in Sichuan province, China, by crossing the indigenous Xuanhan cattle with external breeds. Body sizes have been widely regarded as the important breed characteristics in cattle. The current study was aimed to evaluate the body sizes and its molecular inherite marker for futhure herd improvement. Methods: In the present study, we first investigated a total of 11 body size traits and their overall distribution and pairwise relationships of 169 healthy Shuxuan cattle. Subsequently, the SNP c.A455G of melatonin receptor 1A (MTNR1A) gene were genotyped among 169 Shuxuan cattle and subjected to association analysis with body size traits. Result: We revealed that adult females have the mean withers height of 113.5 cm, body length of 131.8 cm, chest girth of 157.5 cm and hip height of 104.8 cm, respectively. Among all these traits, the highest correlation was observed in withers height and hip height with spearman’s coefficient of 0.85. We found that Shuxuan cattle had an average heterozygosity of 0.5008 and polymorphism information content of 0.3747. Accordingly to the very stringent criterion of Bonferroni multiple adjustments, only chest width was associated with different genotypes of this candidate SNP (P less than 0.05). The results provide an overall profile of the morphological and growth characteristics in Shuxuan cattle.
