In this study, mullite-based ceramics were prepared by substituting alumina slag (valoxy) and rice husk ash (RHA) for commercially pure alumina and quartz, respectively. Five body compositions containing 5, 10, 15, and 20% valoxy: RHA were created. At 75MPa load, the formulated bodies were thoroughly mixed homogeneously and uniaxially compacted to produce cylindrical shaped samples 30 mm diameter and 50 mm high. After compacting the samples, they were sintered in a muffle furnace at 1200 ℃ at a rate of 10 ℃/min for 2 hours before being allowed to cool to room temperature before offloading. Mec

In order to determine the effects of Tomato spotted wilt orthotospovirus (TSWV) on the yield and fruit quality parameters of some common local and commercial pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) genotypes under greenhouse conditions, mechanical inoculations were performed, and virus infections were tested by DAS-ELISA and RT-PCR after the inoculations. Two new types of oxide fibers, namely, those of single crystalline yttrium-aluminum perovskite YAlO3 (YAP) and two-phase YAlO3-Y4Al2O9 (YAP-YAM), have been grown by the internal crystallization method. The fibers of the second type retain their strength at temperatures up to 1000 °С. Their effective strength in a molybdenum matrix reaches about 600 MPa at a temperature of 1400 °С.
