The results of long-term observation of the foundations temperature regime and dangerous cryogenic processes development near exploited well pads on the Yamburg field are presented. Temperature observations (1992-2020) includes data on four well pads. Influence of the natural and anthropogenic factors on the permafrost temperature regime was investigated. Based on a great experience of dangerous cryogenic processes field observations, a thermoerosion near gas well pads were characterized. Some well pads are considered, where the increasing of riverbed and ravine thermoerosion required the deve

The application of geological methods of investigation to archeological objects gives the necessary information about the source of materials (rocks, clays, etc.) for preparation of different tools during the Prehistoric time. Using XRF analyses of clays from natural outcrops along the valley of the Tundzha River and of ceramic vessels from the area of the towns of Yambol and Elhovo we found out that these vessels were prepared from clays from this region.

The purpose of the report is to analyze the possibilities for using heating energy for the building of the Faculty of Technics and Technology of Yambol at Trakia University of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, provided by renewable sources. The selection of the water-water heat pump system is made after determining the heat demand for the building when applying the energy saving measures proposed in the energy efficiency audit. The possibilities for using groundwater for water supply were studied to heat the building.

Abstract. We performed a paleoecological study of a 124-cm-long sediment core from Lake Yambeto (southern part of the Yamal Peninsula, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia), which consists of a series of lake basins varying in depth (up to 6.9 m) and merged with each other. The species composition of subfossil cladocerans was analyzed: a total of 26 taxa from 5 families were identified; of them, 73% belonged the family Chydoridae, thus ranking it as the most diverse. The cladoceran assemblage was dominated by Holarctic and Palearctic species, with Bosmina (Eubosmina) longispina, Bosmina long

The article presents the results of wind potential research in the area of Faculty of Technics and Technologies of Yambol, Trakia University of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Measurements were made in the period from 01.06.2017 to 27.11.2017. For both seasons - summer and autumn the average wind speed and wind speed distribution are determined. The wind roses, which give a visual idea of the distribution of wind potential in different directions are build. Conclusions for the possibility of using the wind potential for extracting electricity are made.

Bi2Se3 has recently become the focus of research development due to its unique transport properties. It is a narrow band gap semiconductor with conducting states on its surface. A reliable and accurate calculation of the optical spectra including excitonic effects is very limited for this material. One of the reasons is that such calculations are computationally demanding since they require a very dense k-point sampling of the Brillouin zone. In this work, we use density functional theory as implemented in Quantum Espresso package to calculate the ground state properties of this material. Opti

This study examines the epidemiology and genetic landscape of lung carcinoma (LC) in the Burgas and Yambol regions in Bulgaria, focusing on histology, gender, age distribution, and the stage at diagnosis. Our findings reveal that while the distribution by histology, gender, and age aligns with global trends, a critical issue is the late-stage diagnosis of the majority of cases, particularly at stage IV. This underscores an urgent need for improved early detection strategies. We also investigated the prevalence of key oncogenic driver mutations among 89 of the 146 registered LC patients in thes
