Abstract:

Scientific interpretation is a controversial interpretation typology. The background of the emergence of this typology is a reflection of the science development which aims to understand the texts of the Qur'an in a more comprehensive way. An example of scientific interpretation that has appeared in the mosaic of interpretation in Indonesia is the interpretation of Surah Yasin in Madurese language by Muhammad Irsyad. The purpose of reviewing the interpretation of Muhammad Irsyad's work entitled Tapseer Sorat Yaasin because there has been a debate about scientific interpretation and to explore Muhammad Irsyad's thoughts in Tapseer Sorat Yaasin, considering that not many Madurese people know about this work. Other relevant resources were also used to analyze the contents of Tapseer by Muhammad Irsyad. The study results found that scientific interpretation is employed in the Tapseer Sorat Yaasin. In addition, Irsyad wants to denote readers that scientific theories had been explained in the Qur'an long before Western scientific discoveries.

Abstract:

Surah Yasin is a surah often recited in various religious activities in Indonesian society. Yasin a considered a surah that has many benefits. The tradition of reciting Yasin is a routine practice done by Muslims, especially in Indonesia. However, the recitation of Yasin in Indonesia is encountered in various forms in religious rituals. Therefore, the writing was based on people gathering to recite Yasin. It can be seen that the reciting Yasin is not only in the culture but the Islamic values that are instilled. This study aims to conduct a literature review study on the living Qur’an use of Yasin in Indonesia. The ATLAS.ti application version 9.0.20.0 was used to assist in analysing existing data. This research method used was reviewing the living Qur’an literature, including 1) the first stage: planning review, 2) the second stage: the implementation of the review, and 3) the last stage: presentation of results. The researcher found 78 articles from the google scholar index source, and 28 papers were read and analysed in this study. The findings showed Yasin’s function for public belief and forms of traditions cultivated in Indonesia’s living Qur’an. These findings resulted in the reciting of Yasin as a practice cultured by the community. Also, the culture of reciting Yasin becomes a sacred ritual and full of meaning in every activity. It is suggested that future research provides a specific knowledge contribution to reciting Yasin in Indonesia.

Abstract:

Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani as a Nusantara cleric through the book Al-Arba'un Haditsan min Arba'in Kitaban 'an Arba'ina Shaykhan, has contributed to the study of hadith. The aims of this research are: first, to discuss the biography of Sheikh Yasin al-Fadani. Second, discussing the scientific journey of knowledge, looking for his sanad. Third, how is the process of compiling the book Al-Arba'un Haditsan min Arba'in Kitaban 'an Arba'ina Shaykhan. Fourth, the hadith of the curse of Muawiyah and the syarah of Sheikh Yasin al-Fadani in the book of Al-Arba'un Hadith min Arba'in Kitaban 'an Arba'ina Shaykhan. This type of research is library research sourced from articles and books related to the discussion about Sheikh Yasin al-Fadani and refers directly to the book of hadith written by Sheikh Yasin al-Fadani. This study concludes that in the view of Sheikh Yasin al-Fadani that the hadith allegedly containing curses to Muawiyah must be understood as part of the Arab tradition, so it is not understood that the Prophet intended to curse Muawiyah.

Abstract:

Abstract Salah satu kebutuhan pokok kehidupan bermasyarakat adalah komunikasi. Komunikasi merupakan jembatan relasi yang menghubungkan individu, kelompok dan lain sebagainya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Sebagai animal simbolicum manusia dalam kehidupannya menggunakan simbol berupa bahasa. Kemudian ditransmisi dan dipahami makna (mean) nya. Itu merupakan alasan bagi setiap aktivitas komunikasi manusia selalu meramalkan efek yang timbul dari setiap proses komunikasi. Salah satu bukti adanya efek komunikasi adalah terimplementasi dalam perilaku masyarakat berupa kompaknya (sepemahaman makna terhadap simbol-simbol “bahasa”) dalam berinteraksi antar sesamanya. Sebagaimana kekompokan masyarakat pada jamaah yasin yang mampu menjadi media integrasi aktivitas masyarakat. Penelitian ini berupaya menggali data-data terkait dengan 1) Bagaimana Pola Komunikasi Jamaah Yasin Masyarakat Dusun Banjarsari Desa Gunungsari Kecamatan Umbulsari Kabupaten Jember ? 2) Apa faktor pendukung Pola Komunikasi Jamaah Yasin Masyarakat Dusun Banjarsari Desa Gunungsari Kecamatan Umbulsari Kabupaten Jember ? 2) Apa faktor penghambat Pola Komunikasi Jamaah Yasin Masyarakat Banjarsari Desa Gunungsari Kecamatan Umbulsari Kabupaten Jember. Penelittain ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskrptif berupaya untuk mendeskripsikan pola komunikasi Jamaah Yasin masyarakat dusun Banjarsari-Gunungsari-Umbulsari-Jember serta mendeskripsikan faktor yang menjadi pendukung dan penghambat pola komunikasi Jamaah Yasin masyarakat Banjarsari-Gunungsari-Umbulsari-Jember Setelah melakukan menelusuran dengan wawancara, observasi serta dokumentasi selama di lapangan dan mengolah data-data yang telah didapat melalui reduksi, verifikasi dan kongklusi data dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mengecek keabsahan data-data melalui triangulasi, sehingga penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa, 1) pola komunkiasi Jamaah Yasin masyarakat dusun Banjarsari adalah pola komunikasi informatif dan pola komunikasi interaktif. Sedangkan yang menjadi 2) faktor pendukung komunikasi Jamaah Yasin masyarakat Banjarsari adalah penguasaan bahasa, artinya masyarakat Banjarsari memiliki bahasa yang sama. Dan juga adanya kesamaan kultur budaya antar individu di dalam masyarakat Banjarsari. Sedangkan yang menjadi 3) faktor penghambatnya adalah adanya ketikdakfokusan komunikan pada saat komunikator menyampaikan pesan, dan terkadang ketidakfokusan ini menjadikan komunikator harus mengulang pesan yang disampaikan kepada komunikan.

Abstract:

Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan pembuatan wall decoration kain flanel sebagai bekal wirausaha mandiri remaja panti asuhan Tuma’ninah Yasin. Dengan tampilan yang warna-warni membuat kain flanel lebih menarik untuk dibuat kreasi produk kerajinan yang bernilai jual. Kelebihan lain dari kain flanel adalah harganya yang terjangkau sehingga memungkinkan berwirausaha dengan modal yang tidak terlalu besar. Melalui pelatihan pembuatan wall decoration kain flanel ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bekal wira usaha mandiri bagi remaja panti asuhan Tuma’ninah Yasin Kota Metro. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah remaja panti asuhan Tuma’ninah Yasin Kota Metro. Kelompok remaja panti asuhan Tuma’ninah Yasin Kota Metro sebagai mitra yang mayoritas beranggotakan anak-anak remaja yang aktif dan produktif. Panti asuhan Tuma’ninah Yasin memiliki banyak remaja putra dan putri yang aktif dan produktif, namun mereka belum memiliki kemampuan dan keterampilan menghasilkan produk layak jual. Tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan adalah di masjid Panti Asuhan Tuma’ninah Yasin Kota Metro. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode demonstrasi, tanya jawab, diskusi, dan praktek. Hasil kegiatan yang diperoleh yaitu peserta pelatihan/mitra dapat mengembangkan pembuatan berbagai macam kerajinan/produk handmade dari kain flanel sehingga mampu mengembangkan dan menjadi bekal wirausaha mandiri. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa 93% peserta pelatihan memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan wall decoration kain flanel.

Abstract:

Penelitian ini membahas tentang komunikasi politik Ichsan Yasin Limpo dalam pencalonannya sebagai calon gubernur Sulawesi Selatan melalui jalur independent. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan narasumber dan mengambil data dengan wawancara dan studi literatur yang mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dipetakan dalam beberapa bentuk seperti kampanye Ichsan Yasin Limpo yang memiliki ciri khas kedaerahan dengan pendekatan yang bernuansa kebudayaan yaitu melalui brand “Punggawa-Macakka”. Kampanye politik juga dilakukan melalui media massa yang sangat memudahkan masyarakat mendapatkan informasi tentang Ichsan Yasin Limpo, selain itu kecakapan retorika berdasarkan pengalamannya menjadi bupati dua periode Kabupaten Gowa juga menjadi komunikasi politik untuk menarik pemilih. Hal ini memunculkan persepsi yang beragam berdasarkan konstruksi branding politik hingga citra politik yang nampak dari Ichsan Yasin Limpo.

PKBM Bani Yasin terlatak di desa Arahan, Indramayu. Bedasarkan hasil observasi di desa Arahan, bergerak di bidang pendidikan. Jumlah tutor adalah 21 orang. Dari hasil diskusi dengan mitra, permasalahan prioritas yang sudah disepakati antara pengusul dan mitra adalah tutor membutuhkan motivasi dalam peningkatan kemampuan menggunakan IT. Permasalahan mitra adalah kemampuan IT tutor yang rendah. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para tutor di PKBM BANI YASIN Indramayu, Ketua PKBM BANI YASIN menginginkan adanya pelatihan dan pembimbingan. Dengan adanya pendampingan dan pemberian pelatihan, diharapkan motivasi tutor dan kemampuan tutor bidang IT dapat meningkat. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyaarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi guru melalui pelatihan bidang IT. Target luarannya aalah tutor mampu menggunakan aplikasi pembelajaran online berbasis teknologi untuk pembelajaran online. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Pelaksanan kegiatan di PKBM Bani Yasin Indramayu.

Abstract:

The article is based on a research report (field research) which aims to examine the understanding, efforts and influence of wirid yasin practice on women's spiritual awareness in Sawang District, South Aceh Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach, data collected through documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and supported by interpretation and triangulation of data. This study concludes that women in Sawang Subdistrict recognize wirid yasin as a tradition to improve the quality of their faith, religious knowledge, brotherhood and blessings. The revitalization of wirid yasin is carried out not only by establishing educational programs and teaching religious knowledge, but also by improving the quality of wirid yasin practice. This practice has succeeded in increasing spiritual awareness among women, in terms of increasing their piety, obedience to worship, muraqabah and gratitude to Allah in living their daily lives.

Abstract Despite the successful collection of thirteen life stories of working-class women of Greek background in their late sixties, who had migrated to Sweden in the 1970s, the two researchers who engaged in the study—Despina, herself a child of migrant Greek parents, and Diana, a political refugee from Argentina—were unable to publish the results. The aim of this chapter is to listen to women’s narratives by bringing into conversation the concept of social suffering through the use of a psychosocial approach. The aim is also to explore our inability (as migrants and daughters of migrants ourselves) to acknowledge what over-exploitation, gender and racial regimes can, and indeed do, to people regarding their sense of self and well-being. The chapter contains four sections. First, the text provides a short introduction to Swedish racial formation, followed by relevant efforts to conceptualise human pain, inspired by the work of Black British feminist scholars Gail Lewis and Yasmin Gunaratnam. Their theoretical intervention suggests the value of a synthesis of politicised psychoanalytic approaches to the dynamics of ‘race’ and emotional labor; providing a frame for a reflection of our own emotions, with special focus on shame and guilt. The central focus of the chapter is in the section ‘What (We Think) Hurts the Most’, which explores the stories collected organised through three topics—(failed) motherhood, broken bodies and (racist) respectability.

Dağlık Karabağ, geçmişte Osmanlı Devleti ile Safevi Devleti arasındaki çekişmelere sahne olmuştur. Günümüzde Dağlık Karabağ’daki çekişmelerde Osmanlı Devleti ile Safevi Devleti’nin yerini Azerbaycan ile Ermenistan almıştır. Çeyrek asır boyunca sınır çatışmasından öteye gitmeyen Dağlık Karabağ’daki çekişme, geçtiğimiz yıl sıcak çatışmaya dönmüştür. Bunun sonucunda 2020 Dağlık Karabağ Savaşı başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada; Türkiye’de yayın yapan yabancı haber sitelerinin Dağlık Karabağ Savaşı’yla ilgili yaptıkları haberlerde kullandıkları dil, konuyla ilgili yapılan haberler üzerinden incelenmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın örneklemini DW Türkçe, BBC Türkçe ve Sputnik Türkiye’nin Dağlık Karabağ Savaşı’yla ilgili yaptıkları haberler oluşturmaktadır. Bu haberler, savaşın yaşandığı 27 Eylül – 10 Kasım 2020 tarihleri arasında yayınlanmıştır. Çalışmada bu sitelerde yayınlanan haberler incelenip, analiz edilmektedir. Çalışmada DW Türkçe’nin, BBC Türkçe’nin ve Sputnik Türkiye’nin Dağlık Karabağ Savaşı’na yönelik bakış açılarının saptanması amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma, Dağlık Karabağ ile ilgili son gelişmeleri içermesi bakımından konuyla ilgili yazılmış önceki çalışmalardan ayrılmaktadır. Çalışmada BBC Türkçe’nin İngiltere’nin, Sputnik Türkiye’nin Rusya’nın, DW Türkçe’nin ise Almanya’nın Dağlık Karabağ sorununa yönelik yürüttüğü dış politikasından etkilendiği görülmektedir. Her ne kadar bağımsız ve tarafsız bir yayın politikası yürüttükleri söylense de bu etkinin yazdıkları haberlere de yansıdığı sonucu ortaya çıkmaktadır.

Abstract: Although a number of studies have been done about Foreign Language Anxiety among Korean students, limited studies have been done on foreign language anxiety toward Korean college students in the Philippines. This paper seeks to find out the factors that may affect foreign language anxiety of both male and female college students in learning English, their foreign language learning anxiety in terms of gender, and the factor that may decrease the anxiety of the participants. Data was gathered through the use of a Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS), a Likert scale adopted from Yassin (2015) and was analyzed by getting the mean, while the findings were interpreted using the mean scale proposed by Mamhot, Martin & Masangya (2013). Surprisingly, the result revealed that foreign language anxiety is not significant among Korean students. Moreover, the female participants showed higher confidence in speaking and using the language compared to male participants in some aspects. Keywords: EFL; FLCAS, foreign language anxiety; gender
