PONTIFÍCIA UNIVERSIDADE CATÓLICA DO RIO DE JANEIRO<br>COORDENAÇÃO DE APERFEIÇOAMENTO DO PESSOAL DE ENSINO SUPERIOR<br>PROGRAMA DE EXCELENCIA ACADEMICA<br>O presente trabalho retoma a questão da formação de professores pelos cursos de Pedagogia. Para tal empreendeu uma pesquisa com alunos, professores e coordenadores de dois cursos de Pedagogia considerados de qualidade, pertencentes a instituições voltadas para a pesquisa e que estão avaliadas entre as melhores da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, uma pública e uma privada comunitária. Buscamos compreender como se dá a atual formação de professores para o Primeiro Segmento do Ensino Fundamental, uma vez que esta formação hoje, após um movimento de reestruturação, submete-se à exigência da formação em nível superior, num processo de universitarização, na suposição de que esta seria uma forma de qualificar melhor a formação docente e encaminhá-la para a profissionalização. Indagamos aos estudantes se percebem-se preparados para enfrentar os desafios da profissão a partir, principalmente, do valor atribuído às questões pedagógicas em sua trajetória acadêmica. Os motivos da escolha, as possibilidades de atuação dentro da profissão, as condições de formação e de desenvolvimento do trabalho estudantil dos futuros professores foram analisados através do olhar do próprio estudante e de seus professores. Os dois cursos foram investigados a partir da aplicação presencial de 252 questionários para alunos, 62 questionários online para professores, além da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com os coordenadores dos dois cursos. Os estudantes de Pedagogia da nossa pesquisa, da mesma forma como divulgado pela literatura, são, em sua maioria, provenientes de estratos de camadas populares, e demandariam, portanto, condições humanas e materiais para maior dedicação e investimento no curso superior, de modo a contrabalançar as possíveis deficiências de sua formação básica, buscamos identificar as possíveis oportunidades oferecidas pelas instituições para suplantar essa dificuldade inicial. Com este conjunto de elementos procuramos levantar algumas hipóteses sobre as dificuldades a serem enfrentadas pelos cursos de Pedagogia e os rumos da formação docente em nosso país.<br>The present work resume the question of teachers training under Pedagogy graduation courses. To do so, a research with students, professors and coordinators of two top quality Pedagogy courses was undertaken. Both of them belonging to research institutions evaluated among the best in the city of Rio de Janeiro, one public and one community private. We seek to understand how the present teachers training for initial school years of elementary school works. Since this qualification now a days, after a movement of restructuring, is under the demand of university diploma. A process that can be called universitization, in order to better qualify teachers training and enhance professionalization. We asked th students IF they see themselves prepared to face the challenges inherent to the profession, based on the value given to pedagogy questions in their academic trajectory. Why they chose the course, the possibilities of professional performance, the conditions of formation and the development of students work were questions asked and driven by the look of the students and their teachers themselfs. Both courses were researched through the application of 252 presence questionnaires for students, 62 online questionnaires for professors and semi structured interviews with both courses coordinators. The majority of the students in our research, as indicated by the literature, come from popular strata. There so, demanding more human and material conditions to increase dedication and investment to achieve university diploma, in order to counterbalance possible deficiencies in their basic education. We also aimed to identify opportunities offered by those institutions to overcome these initial difficulties. With this group of elements, we looked forward to raise some hypothesis about the challenges to be faced by the Pedagogy courses and the pathways of teachers training in our country.

PONTIFÍCIA UNIVERSIDADE CATÓLICA DO RIO DE JANEIRO<br>COORDENAÇÃO DE APERFEIÇOAMENTO DO PESSOAL DE ENSINO SUPERIOR<br>Repetência refere-se à prática escolar de reter, em uma determinada série, estudantes que em geral não alcançaram o rendimento desejado ao final de um ano letivo. O objetivo desta prática seria corrigir possíveis falhas na aprendizagem ou adequar situações de imaturidade do aluno. No contexto do debate sobre as vantagens e desvantagens desta medida, a dissertação busca verificar os efeitos da repetência no desempenho dos estudantes nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental que participaram do Projeto Geres entre 2005 e 2008. Ao longo da pesquisa busca-se compreender: 1) se os alunos que passaram pela experiência de repetência, mesmo ao custo de um ano extra de escolarização, apresentaram ganhos reais de proficiência que justifiquem a utilização de tal medida; 2) no caso de ter havido ganhos reais em aprendizagem, se esses ganhos se mantém ao longo dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Para tentar responder a estas perguntas, foi desenvolvido um estudo observacional que compara dois grupos de alunos, repetentes e promovidos, pareados através de matching, e analisa o impacto da repetência nas medidas de proficiência em Língua Portuguesa e Matemática desses grupos de alunos em diferentes momentos da sua trajetória escolar. Corroborando com diversas pesquisas sobre os efeitos da repetência, os resultados mostram que os alunos repetentes progridem menos que os alunos promovidos ao longo do tempo. Quando comparados em uma mesma série, independente do ano letivo em que a cursaram, os repetentes se saem melhor, embora o efeito em Língua Portuguesa se perca ao longo das séries.<br>Repetition refers to the school practice of holding back, in a given grade, students that generally did not achieve the desired performance at the end of a school year. This practice has the goal to correct possible flaws in learning or adjust to situations of immaturity of the student. In the context of the debate about the advantages and disadvantages of this practice, this dissertation intends to verify the effects of failure on the student’s performance during the initial years of Elementary School. Those students took part in the Longitudinal Study of School Generation 2005 (Geres Project) from 2005 to 2008. Throughout the research the study aims to comprehend: [1] If the students that experience failure, even at the cost of an extra year of schooling, presented real gains of proficiency that justify the use of such measure; [2] in the case of real gains in learning, do this gains maintain during the initial years of the Elementary School? To try to answer these questions, a observational study was developed that compare two pupils groups, the ones who failed and the ones who got promoted, paired up through matching, and analyze the failure impact on the proficiency level in Reading and Mathematics from these groups of students in different moments of their school trajectory. Corroborating with several researches on the failure effects, the results show that the students who failed improve less than the students who were promoted along the years. When comparated in the same grade, regardless from the school grade that they have attended, the students who failed have better results, although the effect in Reading gets lost along the school grades.

Como se portam frente ao desafio de abordarem conceitos específicos de Biologia, Química e Física, quais as necessidades formativas e as implicações para a formação inicial e continuada de professores das séries iniciais. A pesquisa e análise de dados foram feitas a luz da metodologia de Pesquisa Qualitativa. O referencial teórico tem aporte em autores que discutem formação de professores e saberes docentes (SCHON, TARDIF, ZEICHNER, GAUTHIER, entre outros). Os resultados demonstram a modificação dos professores frente ao desconhecido e à necessidade de refletirem sobre sua prática docente com a intenção de ampliar seus conhecimentos disciplinares, curriculares e experienciais.<br>Abstract: This study is meant to find out and list the knowledge and the criteria employed by eight teachers who took part in the research to present a Science Fair in the initial years of Elementary School, in a state-run public school in the São Paulo Metro Area; how they cope with the challenge of bringing up specific biology, chemistry and physics concepts; what are the skills required and the implications with regard to initial and continued education of initial years' teachers. Research and data analysis were carried out according to the Qualitative Research methodology. The theoretical background was based on the works of authors who discuss teachers' training and required knowledge for faculty (SCHON, TARDIF, ZEICHNER, GAUTHIER, among others). The results show the changes in the teacher's attitude when facing the unknown and the need to reflect on their teaching practice in order to enhance their subject -, curriculum-vitae-, and experience-related knowledge.<br>Mestre

Previous issue date: 2016-08-29<br>Statistics are applied in various fields of knowledge and in many contexts and their teaching is present in all stages of basic education. Here is a brief history on the development and teaching of statistics and a history of the city of Porto União and state schools in the city. Through a qualitative and quantitative approach to research we drew a profile of teachers of primary education Years Initials of the municipality as well as the difficulties encountered by teachers in teaching Statistics in Early Years. The analysis of the Statistics Teaching in municipal public schools is based on the National Curriculum Standards and Curriculum Proposal of Mathematics of the state of Santa Catarina. They are proposed activities to Statistics teaching in Years Elementary School Initials that may impact on teaching practice in the classroom. At the end of this dissertation is a discussion of the application of some of the activities suggested to understand the possibilities and the difficulties encountered by teachers in the implementation of activities in the classroom during the approach to the subject.<br>A Estatística é aplicada em diversas áreas do conhecimento e em muitos contextos e o seu ensino está presente em todas as etapas da Educação Básica. Apresentamos um breve histórico referente ao desenvolvimento e ensino da Estatística e um histórico do município de Porto União e das escolas estaduais do município. Por meio de uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa traçamos um perfil dos docentes dos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental do município, bem como as dificuldades encontradas pelos docentes ao ensinar Estatística nos Anos Iniciais. A análise sobre o Ensino de Estatística nas escolas estaduais do município está fundamentada nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais e na Proposta Curricular de Matemática do estado de Santa Catarina. São propostas atividades para o ensino de Estatística nos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental que possam ter impacto na prática didática em sala de aula. Ao final desta dissertação apresentamos uma discussão sobre a aplicação de algumas das atividades sugeridas para compreender as possibilidades e as dificuldades encontradas pelos docentes na aplicação das atividades em sala de aula durante a abordagem do assunto.

Based on the information contained in the slogan, students will plan, write and revise their texts with a view to cater to what was requested. Thus, the slogan has an important role in writing the production process. Based on this understanding, we proposed a study whose themes are the slogans for the production written in the Early Years of elementary school, from the perspective of discursive / textual genres. We defend the idea that this schooling stage, in which students are starting their schooling writing practices, greater clarity have about what we are requesting, the greater the possibilities of producing texts that address and meaningful. Based on this understanding, this work has been guided by two questions: "How are characterized the slogans used in schools in a city in northwestern Paraná?" And "What effects a course of continuing education for teachers in the early years of schooling produces in its understanding on the role and the development of slogans to produce writing in school? ". In order to find the answer (s) to this questioning, from slogans of test results collected in the second half of 2013, in which we investigate its themes, compositional structure and linguistic style, was promoting a continuing education course for Teachers Years Basic Education Initial context researched, whose aim was to analyze its effects on the development of slogans by the participants. At perspective to achieve the proposed objective, we rely on the perspective of Bakhtin studies on language, language, discourse genres and text, with the main theoretical frameworks Bakhtin (2003); Bakhtin / Voloshinov (2006); Geraldi (2013); Dolz, Gagnon and Decandio (2010); Brazil (1997); Parana (2010), among others. Methodologically, it is a guided research in Applied Linguistics of the framework (MOITA LOPES, 1996; RODRIGUES, CERUTTI- RIZZATTI, 2011), qualitative kind, using the ethnographic approach, through action research, made up of two stages: first (and raising slogans analysis), data were generated from a sample containing 83 slogans used by teachers and students. The results obtained at that time provided information for planning and the preparation of the second stage: completion of a course of continuing education for teachers, addressing the theme of this research. At that moment there was action research, whose generation data constituted by the slogans they have developed during the course. The survey data showed that at first the results presented to the teachers were striking, and with the training course could take a different stance on the text production of teaching because most teachers could suit the slogans to the conditions of production.<br>Quando nós professores solicitamosem sala de aula a produção escrita de um texto, utilizamo-nos de algum tipo de orientação, em geral oral ou escrita, que nesta pesquisa estamos denominando de consigna. Com base nas informações contidas na consigna, os alunos poderão planejar, escrever e revisar seus textos, na perspectiva de atender ao que foi solicitado. Dessa forma, a consigna tem função relevante no processo de produção escrita. A partir desse entendimento, propusemos um estudo cuja temática são as consignas para a produção escrita nos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, na perspectiva dos gêneros discursivos/textuais.Defendemos a ideia de que nessa etapa de escolarização, em que os alunos estão iniciando suas práticas de escrita escolarizada, quanto maior clareza tiverem sobre o que estamos solicitando, maiores serão as possibilidades de produzirem textos com endereçamento e com sentido. Com base nesse entendimento, este trabalho foi orientado por duas perguntas: Como se caracterizam as consignas utilizadas em escolas de um município do noroeste paranaense? e Que efeitos um curso de formação continuada para professores dos anos iniciais de escolarização produz na sua compreensão sobre o papel e a elaboração de consignas para a produção escrita na escola? . Com o propósito de encontrar resposta(s) a essa problematização, a partir de resultados da análise de consignas coletadas no segundo semestre de 2013, em que investigamos seus temas, estrutura composicional e estilo linguístico, houve a promoção de um curso de formação continuada para professores dos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental do contexto pesquisado, cujo objetivo foi analisar seus efeitos quanto à elaboração de consignas pelos participantes. Na perspectiva de alcançar o objetivo proposto, apoiamo-nos na ótica dos estudos bakhtinianos sobre linguagem, língua, gêneros de discursos e texto, tendo como principais referenciais teóricos Bakhtin (2003); Bakhtin/Volochinov (2006);Geraldi (2013); Dolz, Gagnon e Decandio (2010); Brasil (1997); Paraná (2010), entre outros. Metodologicamente, trata-se de uma pesquisa pautada no arcabouço da Linguística Aplicada (MOITA LOPES, 1996; RODRIGUES, CERUTTI- RIZZATTI, 2011), de tipo qualitativo, utilizando-nos de abordagem etnográfica, por meio de pesquisa-ação, composta de duas etapas:na primeira (levantamento e análise de consignas), os dados foram gerados a partir de uma amostra contendo 83 consignas utilizadas por professores e alunos. Os resultados obtidos nesse momento forneceram informações para o planejamento e a elaboração da segunda etapa:realização de um curso de formação continuada paraprofessores, abordando o tema desta pesquisa. Nesse momento ocorreu a pesquisa-ação, cuja geração dos dados se constituiu por meio das consignas por eles elaboradas durante o curso. Os dadosda pesquisa demonstraram que, a princípio, os resultados apresentados aos professores foram impactantes, e que com o curso de formação puderam assumir uma postura diferenciada em relação ao ensino de produção textual, poisa maioria dos professores consegui adequar as consignas às condições de produção.

Previous issue date: 2015-08-17<br>Currently in Brazil, the early years of primary education consists of five years (1st to 5th grade). This results, under the law, a longer period for literacy of subjects, from the age of six should enter school. Much has been invested in literacy Native language (Portuguese) and mathematics for basic training of students to the 3rd year. Moreover, little has been discussed about the progression of literacy in subsequent years. The presence of Geography in the school curriculum can aid the formation of the subjects, their world of reading, highlighting the cartographic literacy as methodology to thinking the geographical space from the place up other spatial scales. We emphasize that the School Cartography, which is dedicated to investigate the use of maps in geography teaching practices, attribute value in the production and reading of maps made by the students themselves. This potential is found in the use of mind maps, free representations, but guided by teachers aimed at inclusion, reflection and spatial readings treated at school. Based on these notes, this research aims to investigate the potential and limitations of the mental map resource for geography teaching and learning with students of 4th and 5th year of elementary school. For this we developed our research in the School Lucia of Fatima Gayoso Meira, in the city of Campina Grande - PB. Parallel to the use of mind maps developed theoretical and practical activities in order to motivate, present, build and reflect conceptual notions and skills with a group of 4 and another 5 years. For this research also rescued the considerations of school management, teachers and especially the students, using questionnaires and interviews. As a result we see the readings and understandings of the students regarding the organization of different scales of geographic space, now turned to their own daily life, sometimes the contents taught in the classroom. Also identified limits corresponding to the use of decontextualized contents, and that this knowledge is not related daily practices, there is no sense apprehends them which consequently may result in withholding or discouragement about learning geography in schools.<br>Atualmente, no Brasil, os anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental é composto por cinco anos (1º ao 5º ano). Isso resulta, segundo a legislação, num maior período para a alfabetização dos sujeitos que, desde os seis anos de idade devem ingressar na escola. Muito se têm investido na alfabetização da Língua materna (Português) e da Matemática para a formação básica dos alunos até o 3º ano. Por outro lado, pouco se tem discutido sobre a progressão desta alfabetização nos anos subsequente. A presença da Geografia no currículo escolar pode auxiliar a formação dos sujeitos, sua leitura de mundo, ao destacar a alfabetização cartográfica enquanto metodologia que busca pensar o espaço geográfico, desde o lugar até outras escalas espaciais. Destacamos que a Cartografia Escolar, que se dedica a investigar o uso dos mapas nas práticas de ensino de Geografia, atribuem valor na produção e leitura dos mapas realizados pelos próprios alunos. Este potencial é encontrado no uso dos mapas mentais, representações livres, mas orientadas pelos docentes voltadas a inserção, reflexão e leituras espaciais tratadas na escola. Com base nesses apontamentos, esta pesquisa objetiva investigar as potencialidades e limitações do recurso mapa mental para o ensino-aprendizagem de Geografia com alunos do 4º e 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Para isso desenvolvemos a nossa pesquisa na Escola Lúcia de Fátima Gayoso Meira, localizada na cidade de Campina Grande – PB. Paralelamente ao uso dos mapas mentais desenvolvemos atividades teóricas e práticas com a finalidade de motivar, apresentar, construir e refletir noções conceituais e habilidades com uma turma de 4º e outra de 5º ano. Para realização desta pesquisa resgatamos ainda as considerações da gestora escolar, professoras e, principalmente, dos alunos, utilizando questionários e entrevistas. Como resultados percebemos as leituras e compreensões dos alunos em relação a organização de diferentes escalas do espaço geográfico, ora voltadas ao seu próprio cotidiano, ora aos conteúdos ministrados em sala de aula. Identificamos também limites no que corresponde ao uso de conteúdos descontextualizados, e que se estes saberes não estiverem relacionadas as práticas cotidianas, não haverá sentido em apreende-los o que consequentemente poderá resultar em retenções ou desmotivações acerca do se aprender Geografia nas escolas.

Previous issue date: 2015-03-19<br>This research is about the teaching of Geography and integrates the Teaching and Learning Research Line in the Graduate Program in Social and Environmental Geography Studies from the Institute of Geography at the Federal University of Goiás and the Laboratory of Studies and Research in Geographical Education - LEPEG. Geography was considered and investigated as an important field of knowledge to be acquired by the child from his first formative experiences in childhood, especially from the educational processes of the early years of elementary school. The main objective was to understand and analyze the reality and the possibilities of school geography in the early years of elementary school. Those who participated in this survey were teachers in the early years of elementary school who currently teach students in the 2nd and 3rd years of a selected public school selected in the Municipal Network of the city of Barreiras, Bahia. The construction of this object of study began with, above all, the formative experiences of educators teaching Geography in a public institution of higher education in Bahia, seeking to understand, in all the training processes, how to teach and how Geography is taught in the early years of elementary school. For the production of knowledge, research was guided in a qualitative-descriptive method (LUDK; ANDRÉ, 1986; MINAYO, 2002; André, 2005), using the following data collection instruments: literature review, document analysis, open question questionnaires, thematic workshops, observation and narrative. To investigate and explain that geographical and didactic knowledge in geography should be worked in the course of study for the early years of elementary school the following were adopted as a category method: praxis, by observing relations, contradictions and form of organization following key concepts, such as geographical knowledge; the course of pedagogy and teacher training; primary education in the early years in the Municipal Network of schools in Barreiras, Bahia. It is understood that, in school, Geography, the relevant conceptual benchmark for the development of spatial reasoning depends on the theoretical and methodological principles of understanding of space. And these should be developed when selecting the content, linking them to the analytical categories of geography: space, landscape, location, territory, region, network, society and nature, it is possible to transform the geographic content in thinking tools of students for the development of spatial reasoning, Callai (1996, 2000, 2011), Cavalcanti (1998, 2008, 2005, 2012), Castellar (1999, 2009, 2010) and Libâneo (2009, 2010). Research has shown that school teaching content of Geography should be conducted in the early years of elementary school through approach that relates to society and nature in the construction and organization of space. It was possible to see that thematic blocks and Geography contents are defined in the school curriculum, covering topics related to the study of the local landscape, the experienced and perceived space, referring to the student‟s everyday experience. This study found that working with Geography in the early years of primary education points to a specific link between the school, the reality lived and the community, which gives important significance to this school subject for an education and for citizenship. The teaching of Geography is required by the SME in Barriers, with allocation of hours to this subject, and it is a confirmed reality at the school studied.<br>Esta pesquisa é sobre o ensino de Geografia e integra-se à Linha de Pesquisa Ensino-Aprendizagens em Geografia do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia do Instituto de Estudos Socioambientais da Universidade Federal de Goiás e ao Laboratório de Estudos e Pesquisas em Educação Geográfica – LEPEG. Considerou-se e investigou-se a Geografia Escolar como um campo de conhecimento importante a ser adquirido pela criança desde suas primeiras experiências formativas vividas na infância, em especial a partir dos processos pedagógicos dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. O principal objetivo foi compreender e analisar a realidade e as possibilidades da Geografia escolar nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Participaram, desta pesquisa, professores dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental que atuam no 2º e 3º anos de uma escola pública selecionada pertencente à Rede Municipal de Educação do município de Barreiras-BA. Para a construção desse objeto de estudo partiu-se, sobretudo, das experiências formativas de pedagogos com o ensino de Geografia, em uma instituição pública de ensino superior na Bahia, buscando entender, no conjunto dos processos formativos, como se ensina e qual a Geografia se ensina nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Para a produção do conhecimento, a investigação pautou-se no método qualitativo- descritivo (LUDK; ANDRÉ, 1986; MINAYO, 2002; ANDRÉ, 2005), utilizando-se dos seguintes instrumentos de levantamento de dados: pesquisa bibliográfica, análise documental, questionário de perguntas abertas, oficinas temáticas, observação e narrativas. Para investigar e explicar que conhecimentos geográficos e didáticos em Geografia devem ser trabalhados no curso de Pedagogia para os anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, foi adotada, como categoria do método, a práxis, por meio da observação de relações, contradições e forma de organização dos seguintes conceitos-chave: o conhecimento geográfico; o curso de pedagogia e formação de professores; o Ensino Fundamental nos anos iniciais em escolas da Rede Municipal de Educação em Barreiras-BA. E estes devem ser desenvolvidos quando se selecionam os conteúdos, articulando-os às categorias de análise da Geografia: espaço, paisagem, lugar, território, região, rede, sociedade e natureza, pois é possível transformar os conteúdos geográficos em ferramentas do pensamento dos alunos para o desenvolvimento do raciocínio espacial ( Callai,1996, 2000, 2011), Cavalcanti (1998, 2008, 2005, 2012), Castellar (1999, 2009, 2010) e Libâneo (2009, 2010). A pesquisa mostrou que o conteúdo escolar ensino de Geografia deve ser conduzido, nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, mediante abordagem que relacione a sociedade e a natureza na construção e organização do espaço. Foi possível ver que blocos temáticos e conteúdos de Geografia são definidos no currículo da escola, contemplando temas relacionados ao estudo da paisagem local, ao espaço vivido e percebido, fazendo referência ao cotidiano do aluno. Este estudo evidenciou que o trabalho com a Geografia escolar nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental aponta para uma especificidade de vínculo entre a escola, a realidade vivida e a comunidade, o que confere a esse conteúdo escolar uma importância significativa para uma educação voltada para a cidadania. Esse ensino de Geografia está prescrito no SME de Barreiras, com destinação de carga horária para esse conhecimento, e trata-se de realidade que é verificada na escola estudada.

Como se portam frente ao desafio de abordarem conceitos específicos de Biologia, Química e Física, quais as necessidades formativas e as implicações para a formação inicial e continuada de professores das séries iniciais. A pesquisa e análise de dados foram feitas a luz da metodologia de Pesquisa Qualitativa. O referencial teórico tem aporte em autores que discutem formação de professores e saberes docentes (SCHON, TARDIF, ZEICHNER, GAUTHIER, entre outros). Os resultados demonstram a modificação dos professores frente ao desconhecido e à necessidade de refletirem sobre sua prática docente com a intenção de ampliar seus conhecimentos disciplinares, curriculares e experienciais.<br>This study is meant to find out and list the knowledge and the criteria employed by eight teachers who took part in the research to present a Science Fair in the initial years of Elementary School, in a state-run public school in the São Paulo Metro Area; how they cope with the challenge of bringing up specific biology, chemistry and physics concepts; what are the skills required and the implications with regard to initial and continued education of initial years' teachers. Research and data analysis were carried out according to the Qualitative Research methodology. The theoretical background was based on the works of authors who discuss teachers' training and required knowledge for faculty (SCHON, TARDIF, ZEICHNER, GAUTHIER, among others). The results show the changes in the teacher's attitude when facing the unknown and the need to reflect on their teaching practice in order to enhance their subject -, curriculum-vitae-, and experience-related knowledge.

potential and limitations of the study on medicinal plants from the CTS approach (Science-
Technology-Society). Science education according to this perspective establishes
relationships between scientific knowledge, technological development and social reality in
order to encourage responsible decision making. Therefore, the research involved the
participation of twenty students in a class of 3rd grade of elementary school of a municipal
school in the interior of São Paulo and was developed through activities with CTS character,
interdisciplinary and contextual. We used as instruments to collect data daily researcher, the
written record and represented by designs of the students, the audio recording of his speeches
and photographs. For the data analysis, established as criteria the Structuring Axes of
Scientific Literacy proposed by Sasseron and Carvalho (2011) and we adapted. As a result,
we identified indicative aspects of the process of initiation to scientific literacy. Among them
we highlight the construction of relevant knowledge to the context of life of students and
applicable to everyday situations, awareness of responsible actions through analysis and
reflections on the new information and evidence of understanding of the relationship
between science, technology, society and its implications. The study also highlighted the
importance of attentive and active role of the teacher during the development of the activities
and pointed out limitations regarding the conduct of discursive activity in science classes
and difficulty in articulating the opinions of students and science concepts. Finally, we
believe that this research could contribute to the practice of teachers working in the early
years of elementary school to consider training as a continuum.<br>Esta pesquisa, originada a partir de questões relacionadas à alfabetização científica, teve
como objetivo analisar as potencialidades e limitações do estudo sobre plantas medicinais a
partir da abordagem CTS (Ciência-Tecnologia-Sociedade). O ensino de Ciências segundo
essa perspectiva estabelece relações entre os conhecimentos científicos, o desenvolvimento
tecnológico e a realidade social a fim de favorecer a tomada de decisão responsável. Para
tanto, a pesquisa envolveu a participação de vinte alunos de uma turma de 3º ano do Ensino
Fundamental de uma escola municipal do interior de São Paulo e foi desenvolvida por meio
de atividades com caráter CTS, interdisciplinar e contextual. Utilizamos como instrumentos
para a obtenção dos dados o diário da pesquisadora, o registro escrito e representação por
desenhos dos alunos, a gravação em áudio de suas falas e as fotografias. Para a análise dos
dados, estabelecemos como critério os Eixos Estruturantes da Alfabetização Científica
propostos por Sasseron e Carvalho (2011) e por nós adaptados. Como resultados,
identificamos aspectos indicativos para o processo de iniciação à alfabetização científica.
Dentre eles destacamos a construção de conhecimentos pertinentes ao contexto de vida dos
alunos e aplicáveis a situações do cotidiano, a conscientização de ações responsáveis por
meio das análises e reflexões acerca das novas informações e indícios do entendimento das
relações existentes entre ciência, tecnologia, sociedade e suas implicações. O estudo também
salientou a importância da postura atenta e ativa do professor durante o desenvolvimento das
atividades e apontou limitações referentes à condução da atividade discursiva nas aulas de
ciências e a dificuldade em articular as opiniões dos alunos e os conceitos científicos. Por
fim, entendemos que esta pesquisa poderá contribuir para a prática de professores atuantes
nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental que consideram a formação como um contínuo.

Previous issue date: 2016-03-10<br>O ensino de Ciências, especialmente quando realizado por um professor multidisciplinar, é caracterizado por considerável complexidade em razão de motivos diversos. Vários estudos têm revelado que, muitas vezes, o professor multidisciplinar, geralmente graduado em Pedagogia, finaliza a graduação com uma formação fragmentada para trabalhar com conteúdos de Ciências. Acrescenta-se a este cenário, o espaço, muitas vezes residual, disponibilizado para essa disciplina no início da escolarização fundamental. Visando contribuir com elementos para construção de caminhos possíveis no terreno da docência, este estudo buscou desenvolver um trabalho colaborativo, a partir de uma proposta de Formação Continuada, junto a docentes multidisciplinares no contexto da escola. Como alternativa para este intento, foi proposto a um grupo de professoras que integrassem a elaboração compartilhada de um Acervo Didático com aulas de Ciências, identificado como um produto final de um percurso de aprendizagem conjunta. Como objetivo principal, buscou-se investigar de que maneira a elaboração e utilização de um Acervo Didático poderia constituir-se como um suporte para o desenvolvimento profissional dos docentes. Concomitante à compilação dos materiais resultantes do trabalho pedagógico das professoras, também foi proposto às participantes a elaboração de registros escritos, denominados Registros Reflexivos, sobre as aulas desenvolvidas. Optou-se pelo desenvolvimento de uma pesquisa qualitativa, de caráter colaborativo e como instrumentos de coleta de dados foram utilizados questionários, observação participante, além de registros dos depoimentos escritos e orais que surgiram no decorrer do estudo. Os resultados obtidos permitem afirmar que a construção compartilhada de um Acervo Didático, juntamente com as demais ações integradas ao percurso de aprendizagem, representou uma estratégia de formação produtiva e que pode repercutir positivamente no desenvolvimento profissional dos docentes. No que se refere às propostas de formação de professores em exercício, acredita-se que o saber experiencial possa constituir-se como eixo central das discussões, como ponto de partida e de chegada, na medida em que o seu aprimoramento reconfigura a identidade docente e resulta em aprendizagens que contemplam os demais saberes e conhecimentos inerentes ao trabalho do professor.<br>Science education, especially when performed by a multidisciplinary teacher, is characterized by considerable complexity due to several reasons. Several studies have revealed that often multidisciplinary teacher, usually graduated in Education, concludes graduation with a fragmented training to work with science content. Added to this scenario, we have the space, often residual, available for this discipline at the beginning of elementary school education. To contribute with elements for construction of possible paths in the field of teaching, this study sought to develop a collaborative work, from a proposal for Continuing Education, along with multidisciplinary teacher in the school context. Alternatively for this purpose, it was proposed to a group of teachers to incorporate a shared development of a Didactic Collection with science classes, identified as an final product of a joint learning path. As the main objective, we sought to investigate how the development and use of a Didactic Collection could be constituted as a support for the professional development of teachers. Concomitant with the compilation of teaching materials resulting from the work of the teachers, it was also proposed to the participants to elaborate written records, called Reflective Records, on the developed classes. We opted for the development of a qualitative research, collaborative nature and as data collection instruments were used questionnaires, participant observation, and records of written and oral testimony that emerged during the study. The obtained results allow us to state that the shared construction of a Didactic Collection, along with other integrated actions into the learning process, represented a productive training strategy that can impact positively on the professional development of teachers. With regard to the proposal of training teachers in exercise, experiential knowledge is believed to arise as the centerpiece of discussions, as a point of departure and arrival, to the extent that its improvement reconfigures the teaching identity and results in learnings that include other knowledges and knowledges inherent to the work of the teacher.

Este trabalho apresenta investigação acerca das concepções de professores dos Anos Inicias sobre o Campo Multiplicativo à luz da Teoria dos Campos Conceituais de Gérard Vergnaud. O campo multiplicativo foi escolhido como tema de estudo por permear todo o ensino básico, sendo assim de grande importância para a formação matemática escolar dos estudantes. A coleta de dados se dá em um curso de formação continuada, que se desenvolveu ao longo de 5 encontros de 4 horas, com 11 professoras da Escola Estadual de Ensino Médio Célia Flores Lavra Pinto localizada no município de Viamão/RS. Utilizou-se a pesquisa-ação como metodologia da pesquisa. Ao final da pesquisa, concluímos que o grupo de professores pesquisado se mantém restrito ao trabalho voltado para o algoritmo de multiplicação e a memorização da tabuada, quando se trata do Campo Multiplicativo das Operações. O produto desta pesquisa é um conjunto de atividades sobre o tema Campo Multiplicativo das Operações, dentre outros temas relacionados, que poderão auxiliar professores que ensinam matemática interessados em pensar sobre a prática docente e ampliar suas possibilidades de intervenção junto aos estudantes.<br>This paper presents the development of a training course for teachers of the early years in order to investigate teachers' conceptions about Multiplicative Field Operations to the Theory of Conceptual Fields Gérard Vergnaud. The multiplicative field was chosen as the subject of study not only because it permates the whole basic education, but also because it has a great importance to the training school mathematics students. Data collection occurs in a continuing education course, which was developed in 5 meetings of 4 hours, with 11 teachers from State Preparatory School High School Celia Flores Lavra Pinto localized in Viamão/RS. We used the action research as the research methodology. At the end of the paper, we conclude that the studied group of teachers remains restricted to the work facing the multiplication algorithm and memorizing multiplication tables when it comes to the field Multiplicative Operations . The product of this research is a set of activities on the theme Multiplicative Field Operations. Among other issues, it may help teachers to teach mathematics for those who are interested in thinking about teaching practice and expand their possibilities of intervention with students.

Previous issue date: 2016-02-23<br>Não recebi financiamento<br>Esta pesquisa foi realizada visando entender o suporte político, filosófico e histórico do material, do projeto EMAI – Educação Matemática nos Anos Iniciais, do 4º ano da Educação Básica (1º ao 5º ano); os objetivos de sua implantação; a estrutura das atividades propostas; e suas respectivas expectativas de aprendizagem, bem como, entender a implantação desse projeto, seus benefícios e as dificuldades para a autonomia de agentes educacionais (professores e coordenadores) para o trabalho e para os estudos. O ponto de partida para a pesquisa foi a seguinte questão: “O projeto EMAI tem em seu texto um suporte teórico e filosófico que propicie a autonomia ao professor tão necessária para uma reflexão crítica sobre sua própria prática pedagógica?”. E para respondê-la, foi utilizada a metodologia de caráter qualitativo, tanto para a análise do material impresso quanto para a análise das entrevistas semiestruturadas. A busca, portanto, centrou-se no estudo do conceito de autonomia para o entendimento da identidade docente diante da implantação do referido projeto. A partir daí, aponta-se para a necessidade de inovações metodológicas e conceituais no que se refere ao estudo e ao trabalho com a Matemática tanto para a formação inicial quanto continuada do professor que atuará nos anos iniciais da Educação Básica. Como resultado se observou, tanto no material quanto nas entrevistas, que o projeto possibilita uma autonomia, porém, relativa para o trabalho do professor, condicionada pelas determinações do projeto EMAI. Apontou-se, portanto, para a formação inicial e continuada como possibilidades de avanços no sentido conceitual e metodológico para o trabalho com a Matemática; e, também, no sentido da construção de uma autonomia real e de uma identidade docente na produção e efetivação do currículo.<br>This research was carried out to understand the political, philosophical and historical support of EMAI - Mathematics Education in the Early Years – project material, from the 4th year of Basic education (1st to 5th grade); the objectives of its implementation; the structure of the proposed activities; and the respective expectations of learning as well to understand the implementation of this project, its benefits and difficulties for the autonomy of educational agents (teachers and coordinators) for work and for studies. The starting point for the research was the question: "Does the EMAI project have in its text a theoretical and philosophical support that provides autonomy to teachers, which is so necessary for a critical reflection on their own pedagogical practice?". And to answer it, a qualitative methodology was used for both the analysis of printed material as for the analysis of semi-structured interviews. The search, therefore, focused on the study of the concept of autonomy to understanding the teacher identity in the face of the said project implementation. From then on, the need for methodological and conceptual innovations in relation to study and work with Mathematics for both initial and continuing education of teachers who will act in the early years of basic education. As a result, it was observed both from the material and the interviews, that the project permits the autonomy, even though relative, to the teacher's work, conditioned by determinations of EMAI project. Therefore, it was conducted towards initial and continuing education, such as possibilities of conceptual and methodological advances in the work with Mathematics; and also towards building a real autonomy and teacher identity in the production and implementation of the curriculum.

Por apresentar estratégias de ensino atrativas e interativas, a utilização desses espaços pode contribuir para uma alfabetização científica mais efetiva tanto para os alunos como também para os professores. Partindo dessa perspectiva o objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi analisar as possibilidades e limites de uma proposta de formação continuada de professores dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, que busca uma ressignificação da relação entre o ensino de Ciências em espaços não formais e a prática docente escolar. Para atender tal objetivo a pesquisa foi desenvolvida, no período de janeiro de 2016 a março de 2018, no Centro de Ciências e Planetário do Pará – CCPP, localizado na cidade de Belém no estado do Pará. Os sujeitos foram professores de Ciências que atuavam em turmas dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental e os dados qualitativos foram coletados por meio da observação participante, de questionários e entrevistas. By presenting attractive and interactive teaching strategies, the use of these spaces can contribute to a more effective scientific literacy for both students and teachers. From this perspective, the general objective of this research was to analyze the possibilities and limits of a proposal for the continuous training of teachers from the initial years of Elementary Education, which seeks a re - signification of the relationship between science teaching in non - formal spaces and school teaching practice. In order to meet this objective, the research was carried out from January 2016 to March 2018 at the Center of Sciences and Planetarium of Pará - CCPP, located in the city of Belém in the state of Pará. Subjects were science teachers who worked in classes from the initial years of elementary school and qualitative data were collected through participant observation, questionnaires and interviews. The analysis of the collected data was used the set of techniques of Content Analysis. Through the results obtained from the survey of the profile of the teachers were carried out training actions where the proposal took into account the critical analysis of the teaching reality. A história educacional brasileira constitui-se de muita discussão e de uma ampla legislação educacional, que em sua maioria tem se tornando letra morta nas escolas. Assim a construção de uma escola pública democrática, inclusiva, crítica, reflexiva e de qualidade para todos, é ainda hoje, um enorme desafio. Desafio no qual o professor polivalente dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental representa um elemento imprescindível, mas não o único. É ele o profissional que trabalha diária e diretamente na formação da base da escolaridade das crianças da escola pública. Tendo o professor polivalente como objeto deste estudo, desenvolvemos uma pesquisa qualitativa, cujo objetivo é ressignificar a importância do papel do professor polivalente dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental da escola pública na atual conjuntura da sociedade brasileira, destacando seus saberes e os problemas na sua formação. Para alcançar esse objetivo, a pesquisa envolveu estudo bibliográfico, análise documental e entrevista reflexiva com vinte professores polivalentes dos anos iniciais das escolas públicas municipais de Dracena, Junqueirópolis e Tupi Paulista, interior do Estado de São Paulo. Os referenciais teóricos principais foram: Saviani, Pimenta, Libâneo, Szymanski, Tardif. Concluímos que os maiores desafios da escola pública são a qualidade do ensino, a realidade social das crianças, a ausência da família na vida escolar dos filhos e a ampliação do papel da escola na questão social. Na atuação do professor polivalente, as alegrias consistem na interação com a criança, no constatar seus avanços e desenvolvimento no processo ensino-aprendizagem. As dificuldades concentram-se, prioritariamente, na ausência da família na escolaridade do filho, na diversidade dos alunos em virtude da democratização do ensino e, em menor intensidade, nas críticas aos cursos de formação de professores e na desvalorização da escola pública e do professor. Quanto aos saberes docentes mais relevantes atualmente, os professores destacaram o saber do conhecimento, saber pedagógico, saber atitudinal e saber organizacional. Na construção desses saberes inúmeros espaços e atividades de formação foram priorizados, como a escola, os cursos de formação inicial e contínua, a interação com outros profissionais que vivenciaram experiências como professores polivalentes. A pesquisa evidenciou a importância do professor polivalente, a urgente necessidade de uma política pública de valorização para esse profissional, principalmente, quanto ao curso de formação inicial, para que forme o professor intelectual crítico reflexivo.<br>Our history is constituted of a lot of discussion and wide educational legislation, which in its majority has been turning uncommon in schools. The construction of a democratic, critic, reflexive and inclusive public school, with quality for all, is until today, an enormous challenge. The challenges which the versatile initial years of elementary school teachers represent a very important part, but not the only one. It is the teacher the professional who works daily and directly on the basic children formation in public school education. This papers study object is the versatile teacher; it was developed a qualitative research, which aims to re-evaluate the importance of the versatile teacher\'s work in initial years of elementary public school in the conjuncture of Brazilian society nowadays, emphasizing the teachers knowledge and their formation problems. To reach this aim, the research involved bibliographical studies, documental analysis and reflexive interview with twenty versatile teachers of initial years from municipal public schools of Dracena, Junqueirópolis and Tupi Paulista São Paulo States interior cities. The main theoretical references were: Saviani, Pimenta, Libâneo, Szymanski, and Tardif. It was concluded that the public schools biggest challenges are the education quality, the children\'s social reality, the family absence in the children\'s school life and the enlargement of the school responsibilities in the social subject. In the versatile teacher\'s performance the success consists of the interaction with the child and of verifying their progresses and development in the teaching-learning process. The difficulties concentrate mainly on the family absence in the children\'s education, in the students\' diversity as a result of teaching democratization and, with less intensity, in the critics to the teachers\' formation courses along with public school and teacher depreciation. With reference to the more relevant teachers knowledge nowadays, they emphasized the knowledge of knowing, pedagogic knowledge, attitudinal and organizational knowledge. In the construction of this knowledge, many places and formation activities were prioritized, such as the school, the initial and continuous formation courses, and the interaction with other professionals that lived experiences as versatile teachers. The research evidenced the versatile teacher\'s importance; the urgent need of public politic of valorization for this professional, mainly for the initial formation course, so that it forms the intellectual critical reflexive teacher.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior<br>This dissertation is inserted into the Research Line Formação, Saberes e Desenvolvimento Profissional and has its focus on a space of discussion upon Pedagogy and Mathematics future teachers education from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, that teach Mathematics in the early years of elementary school. The main purpose is to investigate the learning of teaching activity from future teachers in a process of Mathematics teaching organization for the first grades of elementary school. For that, the study focused on the organization of activities at Mathematics Club CluMat, where proposals for teaching Mathematics in the early years are studied, planned, developed and evaluated, having as theoretic-methodological framework the Teaching Orientating Activity AOE (MOURA, 1996, 2001). The data analysis was based on the historic-cultural perspective, in special Vigotsky (2002) and Leontiev (1978), that lead us to comprehend that human being learns in interaction with other individuals and that through activities, they take the culture in which is inserted. Thus, we analyzed four steps that compose the teaching organization at CluMat, they are: Mathematics subject study; the planning; the development; and the evaluation. To collect the data, we followed the participation, inside this space, of five future teachers four from Pedagogy and one from Mathematics Course through the observation of meetings and also a questionnaire. To present and analyze these, we used the idea of episodes, proposed by Moura (2004). We composed four guiding topics: 1 - Studying Mathematics: Statistics in the early years; 2 - Planning together: the case of AOE on Statistics; 3 - Developing the AOE: Statistics at Mathematic Club; 4 Evaluating the AOE: rethinking on the practice at Mathematic Club. From the analysis, we concluded that the different situations lived at CluMat brought new learning to the future teachers. By acting together, students from Pedagogy and from Mathematics Courses, both with knowledge of different areas, are motivated by the same purposes and, despite the differences, they complement each other, aiming to supply the need of teaching organization. In this context, we verified that, organizing the teaching by sharing the actions, the future teachers learned, in the teaching activity, reevaluating the activity and improving their teacher practice.<br>Esse trabalho insere-se na Linha de Pesquisa Formação, Saberes e Desenvolvimento Profissional e tem seu foco voltado a um espaço de discussão sobre a formação dos alunos do Curso de Pedagogia e Matemática da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria que ensinam matemática nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. O principal objetivo consiste em investigar a aprendizagem da docência de futuros professores no processo de organização do ensino de matemática para os anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Para tanto, o estudo centrou-se na organização das atividades no Clube de Matemática CluMat, onde são estudadas, planejadas, desenvolvidas e avaliadas propostas para o ensino de matemática nos anos iniciais, usando como fundamento teórico-metodológico a Atividade Orientadora de Ensino AOE (MOURA, 1996, 2001). A análise dos dados pautou-se em referenciais teóricos da perspectiva histórico-cultural, em especial Vigotsky (2002) e Leontiev (1978) que nos conduzem à compreensão de que o ser humano aprende em interação com outros indivíduos e que através de atividades se apropria da cultura na qual se insere. Para a coleta de dados, acompanhamos a participação neste espaço de cinco alunos de graduação quatro do curso de pedagogia e um do curso de matemática - através de observações de reuniões de estudos e também de um questionário. Para apresentação e análise dos mesmos, utilizamos a ideia de episódios, proposta por Moura (2004). Elencamos quatro eixos norteadores: 1- Estudando matemática: estatística nos anos iniciais; 2- Planejando coletivamente: o caso da AOE sobre estatística; 3- Desenvolvendo a AOE: estatística no Clube de Matemática; 4- Avaliando a AOE: repensando a prática no Clube de Matemática. A partir da análise, concluímos que as diferentes situações vivenciadas no CluMat proporcionam aos acadêmicos novas aprendizagens. Ao atuarem no coletivo, acadêmicos dos cursos de Pedagogia e Matemática, ambos com conhecimentos de áreas diferentes, são motivados pelos mesmos objetivos e, apesar das divergências, se complementam visando suprir a necessidade de organização do ensino. Neste contexto, verificamos que, ao organizarem o ensino num movimento de compartilhamento de ações, os futuros professores aprenderam na docência, reavaliando a atividade e aprimorando sua prática docente.

<p> Studies have documented challenges in meeting No Child Left Behind (NCLB) expectations as well as gender differences that contribute to the achievement gaps between boys and girls. In response to increased NCLB accountability and achievement gaps between boys and girls, several experts have promoted single-sex education as a possible strategy to improving student achievement. </p><p> The purpose of this study was to examine data that were gathered from an economically disadvantaged Title I federally-assisted upper elementary school with respect to the implementation of single-gender classrooms. This study was guided by the following two research questions: First, what were the perspectives from teachers, students, and parents with the initial year of implementation of single-gender classrooms? Second, what school level data could be analyzed and summarized with respect to student behaviors during the initial year of implementation? </p><p> Unlike previous studies, which focused on private or parochial schools at the secondary school level, this study focused on an economically disadvantaged school within an upper elementary setting. In addition, limited previous research has examined the perspectives of teachers, students, and parents. As research continues to show an ever-increasing achievement gap between students in poverty and those who are not, many educators seek alternative ways to educate students in economically disadvantaged schools. While single-gender classrooms are by no means a cure-all for the adversity faced by disadvantaged students in public schools, an analysis of the aforementioned research data indicated salient benefits for such students in that they can provide a learning environment where affective and cognitive learning outcomes could be realized. </p><p> The results from this study revealed that teachers and parents considered single-gender classrooms provide a positive learning environment for students. Teachers, students, and parents emphasized that single-gender classrooms allowed students to be more productive, removed the largest distractions for male and female students, and allowed them to concentrate on their schoolwork. In addition, the data revealed that single-gender classrooms had a positive impact on girls as viewed by teachers, female students, and parents of female students in terms of feeling comfortable enough to ask questions when they did not understand something.</p>

purpose is to investigate the process deployment and implementation of historicalcritical
pedagogy in the initial years of elementary school in Itaipulândia - Paraná. In
it, we try to analyze the municipal educational trajectory articulating the social context
with the main propositions of this pedagogical trend and the elaborated educational
policies during the redemocratization of the Brazil. Based on documental and
bibliographical analysis, we seek to discuss and understand the pedagogical
proposal, its assumptions, characteristics and possibilities of the theoretical and
practical referential. In addressing the specific conditions that focus on education, the
school and the organization of the teaching work through the analysis of its historicaleducational
trajectory, we intend to verify how the deployment and implementation of
historical-critical pedagogy in the early years of elementary school in Itaipulândia

mobilizam no laboratório de robótica com seus alunos? Nossos sujeitos de pesquisa ¿ cinco docentes dos anos iniciais de escolas públicas da rede municipal de São Bernardo
do Campo (SP) ¿ participam do projeto "Observatório da Educação/CAPES - Rede Colaborativa de Práticas na Formação de Professores que ensinam Matemática: múltiplos olhares, diálogos e contextos", com o objetivo de ressignificar suas práticas docentes e obter novos conhecimentos. Realizamos a análise de quatro entrevistas semiestruturadas, sendo duas coletivas e duas individuais, onde obtivemos subsídios para responder à questão central desta investigação, com o auxilio do referencial teórico que foi fundamentando nos elementos: formação do professor polivalente; o ensino da geometria, na etapa inicial da escola básica; e a robótica educacional. Partindo da perspectiva teórica de Shulman (1986), percebemos que a literatura específica evidencia que o processo formativo, seja teórico ou prático, nos cursos de formação inicial, pouco contribui para complementar o conhecimento necessário para a prática profissional do
professor. Já Nacarato (2003) e Curi (2004) apontam as inúmeras dificuldades que os docentes apresentam para abordar conhecimentos de geometria na sala de aula, uma vez
que as pedagogas não tiveram durante sua formação profissional condições de desenvolverem um estudo mais aprofundado nesta área do conhecimento. Entretanto,
Papert (1997) nos elucida que os avanços tecnológicos vêm criando novos espaços favoraveis à aprendizagem, um desses o laboratório de robótica. Nossas análises
apontaram que, apesar de nossos sujeitos de pesquisa apresentar algumas carências conceituais em geometria, suas práticas pedagógicas, em atividades no laboratório que
tematizaram esta área da matemática, foram realizadas efetivamente. Assim sendo, constatamos que a robótica surge como um recurso inovador no ambiente educativo
para promover a aprendizagem dos alunos. Com relação aos conhecimentos mobilizados pelos nossos sujeitos, esses vêm trabalhando as noções básicas e
introdutórias da geometria, específicas nesta etapa inicial de ensino, partindo de conceitos da geometria tridimensional (espaço), juntamente com a geometria plana,
além de fazerem uso de outros recursos como a régua, esquadro e o compasso em suas atividades. Dentre alguns dos conteúdos trabalhados, temos as formas geométricas, as

aprendizagem satisfatória dos alunos, porém nossa pesquisa revela que esta parceria entre a sala de aula e o laboratório de robótica se revela como uma metodologia eficiente que vem apresentando ótimos resultados.<br>Our research is qualitative and proposes to answer the following question: what knowledge of geometry do the teachers of the early years mobilize in the laboratory of robotics with their students? Our research subjects - five teachers from the initial years of public schools of the municipal network of São Bernardo do Campo (SP) - participate in the project "Observatory of Education / CAPES - Collaborative Network of Practices in Teacher Training that teach Mathematics: multiple looks, dialogues and contexts "in order to re-signify their teaching practices and obtain new knowledge. We
carried out the analysis of four semi-structured interviews, two collective and two individual, where we obtained subsidies to answer the central question of this investigation, with the help of the theoretical reference that was based on the elements: training of the polyvalent teacher; the teaching of geometry, in the initial stage of the basic school; and educational robotics. From the theoretical perspective of Shulman(1986), we notice that the specific literature shows that the formative process, whether theoretical or practical, in the initial training courses contributes little to complement the
knowledge necessary for the professional practice of the teacher. Nacarato (2003) and Curi (2004) point out the many difficulties that teachers present in order to approach geometric knowledge in the classroom, since they did not have, during their professional training, the conditions to develop a more in-depth study in this area of knowledge. However, Papert (1997) elucidates that technological advances have been creating new spaces favorable to learning, one of them the laboratory of robotics. Our analyzes pointed out that, although our research subjects presented some conceptual deficiencies in geometry, their pedagogical practices in laboratory activities that thematized this area of mathematics were effectively realized. Thus, we verified that robotics emerges as an innovative resource in the educational environment to promote mstudent learning. With respect to the knowledge mobilized by our subjects, these have been working the basic and introductory notions of geometry specific in this initial stage of teaching starting from concepts of three-dimensional geometry (space) together with flat geometry, in addition to making use of other resources such as ruler , Square and the compass in their activities. Among some of the contents worked we have the geometric shapes, the straight lines, the dimensions and dimensions. Robotics specifically allows students, when programming robots, to work with straight-line concepts and the curved line, angles, directions (right, left, front) that are indispensable for vehicles to overcome obstacles. Concluding the teaching of mathematics has not contributed to a satisfactory learning of the students, however our research reveals that this partnership between the classroom and the robotics laboratory reveals itself as an efficient methodology which has been presenting excellent results.

This study was conducted to determine the current job satisfaction level of elementary school counselors in Virginia and compare it with elementary school counselors surveyed in 1995 and 1988. At the time of the 1988 survey, the Virginia Board of Education had passed a resolution to phase elementary guidance and counseling programs into the public schools over a four-year period beginning in the 1986-1987 school year. The elementary school counseling program was in full effect when the 1995 survey was conducted. In 2001 the program was no longer state mandated, but instead was a local option to be determined by school boards. An array of social and political changes have taken place since the first two studies were conducted by Kirk (1988) and Murray (1995) that may have impacted how satisfied counselors in Virginia are with their jobs. Because the job satisfaction level of elementary school counselors in Virginia in 2001 was undetermined, this study was undertaken . Two mailed questionnaires were used to collect the data. An Individual Information Form (IIF) and a modified version of the Minnesota SatisfactionQuestionnaire (MSQ) were sent to 444 elementary school counselors who were members of the Virginia School Counselor Association. The total response rate was 76.35%. In the current study, 90.9% of counselors surveyed indicated they were either satisfied or very satisfied with their jobs, while 9.1% were very dissatisfied or dissatisfied. Of the 20 aspects of work measured by the MSQ, counselors only indicated dissatisfaction with the compensation area. The two demographic variables of educational degree status and counselors' intent to remain in the current position were found to be predictors of job satisfaction for counselors in 2001. A majority of all counselors in the 2001 study responded affirmative to whether the current social and political climate affected their feelings about their jobs. Counselors expressed feeling dissatisfaction with the lack of a state mandated counseling program and feeling stress and pressure from conflicting role expectations and demands. Compared to counselors surveyed in 1995 and 1988, the overall level of job satisfaction in 2001 is similar. There were six areas of counselors' jobs that produced the most satisfaction in all three studies although the order varied somewhat. These areas were social service, moral values, creativity, activity, variety, and ability utilization. In all three studies, counselors were the least satisfied with the same three areas which included compensation, company policies, and advancement. Job security was the fourth area producing the most dissatisfaction in both the 2001 and 1995 studies, while it was eighth in 1988. There was an increase of about 5% in the number of counselors who are dissatisfied with their jobs in 2001 compared to 1995 and about a 2% increase from 1988. There has been a slight increase across all three studies in the percentage of counselors who are very satisfied with their jobs.<br>Ph. D.

discipline may give to the formation process carried out in schools. Through a
theoretical reflection it indicates that the discipline of body can appear as a potential
element during the individuals cultural formation, thus collaborating so they can have
access to knowledge that will allow them to think about those aspects that build up
society. Nevertheless, it proposes to investigate if this fact is really accomplished
during the students school lives. This research was executed by following-up
teachers activities, as well as the trajectory of three students along the first part of
cycle II of elementary teaching (the former third year of primary school). This study
was performed in an Integral Education Center that belongs to Curitiba s municipal
school system and the investigation focused on the Portuguese, gymnastics,
mathematics, history/geography and arts classes. Data collection was made by
means of observation, interviews and student evaluation school documents. The
analysis used studies by Michel Foucault, but focused, fundamentally, on the
contributions made by some authors of the Critical Theory of Society, especially
Herbert Marcuse, Max Horkheimer and Theodor W. Adorno. In this sense, this
research confirmed the hypothesis that, within school ambit, corporal discipline can
be adjusted to performance instrumental interests, as well as to benefit the
individuals reflexive formation, once it can help them to collect and communicate

this society<br>Esta pesquisa empírica objetiva analisar as possíveis contribuições da
disciplina corporal para o processo formativo realizado na escola. Por intermédio de
uma reflexão teórica, indica que a disciplina do corpo pode surgir como um elemento
potencial durante a formação cultural do indivíduo, colaborando para que ele tenha
acesso a conhecimentos que lhe permitam refletir sobre os aspectos que compõem
a sociedade. Todavia, se propõe a investigar se esse fato realmente se efetiva
durante a trajetória escolar discente. A pesquisa foi efetuada por meio do
acompanhamento da ação docente e do percurso de três alunos, ao longo da 1ª
etapa do ciclo II do ensino fundamental (antiga terceira série do primário). O estudo
foi realizado em um Centro de Educação Integral pertencente à rede pública
municipal de Curitiba e a investigação centrou-se nas aulas de português, educação
física, matemática, história/geografia e educação artística. Para a coleta dos dados
foram utilizadas observações, entrevistas, bem como documentos escolares de
avaliação dos alunos. Para a realização da análise, partiu-se dos estudos de Michel
Foucault, mas concentrou-se, fundamentalmente, nas contribuições de alguns
autores da Teoria Crítica da Sociedade, entre eles Herbert Marcuse, Max
Horkheimer e Theodor W. Adorno. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa confirmou a hipótese
de que, no âmbito escolar, a disciplina corporal pode tanto estar ajustada aos
interesses instrumentais de desempenho, quanto beneficiar a formação reflexiva do
indivíduo, uma vez que pode auxiliá-lo na captação e na comunicação dos
conhecimentos. Por fim, concluiu que as contradições identificadas em torno da
disciplina corporal se relacionam com as ambigüidades da própria formação
realizada nessa sociedade

Previous issue date: 2014-02-03<br>This paper presents a study on the actions taken by teachers of the 3rd year of Elementary School, related to the decisions and referrals regarding the students indicated as having learning gap in Mathematics. Our question at issue is: How and why do referrals of students in the 3rd year of Elementary School with Mathematics difficulties occur in the teachers view? The main goal was to analyze, based on pieces of information from teachers of the 3rd year of Elementary School regular and special education classes the conceptions related to the Mathematics concepts learning difficulties found by students and the need for psychological referral or pedagogical remedial help. The research development brought indications with reference to the issue of children learning difficulties in Mathematics, their emotions during the learning process and the aspects regarding Mathematics teaching and learning in school. The data arose from semi-structured interviews with three teachers of the 3rd year two from the classrooms and the resource room teacher in two different moments: in the beginning of 2013 school year and in November of the same year; and also the documentation for the student referral to remedial classes and psychological support. During the interviews the participants pointed out that the initial training course didn`t offer them enough theoretical subsidies to perform in the teaching discipline of Mathematics to the initial years of Elementary School. It was also pointed that a lot of the learning difficulties of these students is generally related to Mathematics concepts that weren`t understood by them. Teachers considerations about the referrals of students with learning difficulties were analyzed, as well as their conceptions about how and why these referrals should happen. In addition, the documentation of a 3rd year student who attended the resource class and the psychological assistance for two years was analyzed. It has been concluded that the services of resource class and psychological assistance, both offered by the city council, do not become linked, then bringing little contribution to students progress. The considerations to evaluate the student`s development are evasive, advancing little to identify their difficulties and to show alternatives to those people who will keep working with children, what provides little contribution to cognitive and psychological development.<br>O trabalho apresenta um estudo sobre as a??es de professoras do 3? ano do Ensino Fundamental, relacionadas ?s decis?es e encaminhamentos referentes aos alunos indicados como portadores de defasagem de aprendizagem em Matem?tica. Nossa quest?o problema assim se configura: Como e por que ocorrem os encaminhamentos de alunos com dificuldades relacionadas ? Matem?tica em sala de 3? ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma rede p?blica municipal na vis?o das professoras? Teve por objetivo analisar, a partir das informa??es de professoras do 3? ano do Ensino Fundamental da sala regular e de educa??o especial as concep??es relacionadas ?s dificuldades encontradas pelos alunos ao aprender conceitos matem?ticos e a necessidade de encaminhamento psicol?gico ou de refor?o pedag?gico. No desenvolvimento da pesquisa trouxemos apontamentos relativos ?s quest?es das dificuldades de aprendizagem das crian?as em Matem?tica, das suas emo??es no percurso da aprendizagem e de aspectos relacionados ao ensino e ? aprendizagem de Matem?tica na escola. Os dados originaram-se das entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com tr?s professoras de 3? ano duas de sala de aula e a professora da sala de recurso em dois momentos diferentes: no in?cio do ano letivo de 2013 e no m?s de novembro do mesmo ano. Ainda, de documenta??o relativa ao encaminhamento do aluno para sala de refor?o e de atendimento psicol?gico. Nas entrevistas as participantes indicaram que o curso de forma??o inicial n?o lhes ofereceu subs?dios te?ricos suficientes para a atua??o na doc?ncia na disciplina de Matem?tica para os anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Tamb?m que muitas das dificuldades de aprendizagem destes alunos, de maneira geral est?o relacionadas com os conceitos matem?ticos n?o compreendidos por eles. Analisamos as considera??es das professoras referentes ao encaminhamento de alunos com defasagem de aprendizagem, suas concep??es sobre como e por que esses encaminhamentos devam se dar. Ainda, a documenta??o de um aluno de 3? ano, que freq?entou por dois anos a sala de recurso e o atendimento psicol?gico. Conclu?mos que os servi?os de sala de recurso e atendimento psicol?gico, ambos oferecidos pela prefeitura, n?o se articulam, trazendo pouca contribui??o para os avan?os dos alunos. Previous issue date: 2018-05-28<br>Este estudo foi realizado em uma escola pública, por meio de parceria com a universidade, que se dispôs a assessorar docentes dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, atuantes no primeiro e segundo ciclos, em questões relacionadas ao ensino de Ciências, particularmente de Física. A assessoria realizou-se através de um projeto de cooperação, em que constava um curso de formação continuada e seus desdobramentos, cujas ações foram articuladas pelos parceiros. O planejamento e a estruturação do curso, realizado no período de 2015 a 2016, foram definidos pelos docentes da amostra, que expuseram suas fragilidades e lacunas para atenderem as necessidades decorrentes de sua prática cotidiana. Desta forma, o desenho do curso foi determinado pelas demandas dos docentes, que foram assessorados, a partir dos resultados da pesquisa em ensino de Física e de Educação, elementos que se mostraram inovadores para os docentes da amostra. O estudo teve como referencial teórico-metodológico, as noções de Análise do Discurso na linha francesa, cujo dispositivo analítico incluiu diálogo com autores que discutem a inovação educacional e o desenvolvimento profissional docente. A questão central da pesquisa, visando atingir seus objetivos foi: Como uma amostra de professores dos anos iniciais da educação básica interpretou a proposta de um curso de formação continuada sobre o ensino de física, centrado na escola, com assessoria da universidade e embasado na produção acadêmica da área como elementos inovadores? Os discursos dos docentes, durante todo o percurso da parceria, foram registrados em questionários, transcrições de reflexões realizadas e nas produções de autoria deles, referentes a quatro etapas distintas do desenvolvimento do curso. Esses dados, principalmente, os planos de aula, elaborados para intervir em suas classes e as transcrições das atividades desenvolvidas mostraram que uma assessoria constante e presente em determinada escola, pode alterar aos poucos a cultura do ensino de Ciências tradicional que, em geral, acontece nas instituições. E estando cientes desses gestos de interpretação contrários às mudanças, criam-se manobras para contornar obstáculos que interferem ou adiam a inovação. Por fim, a pesquisa realizada neste projeto de cooperação entre a universidade e a escola, com as características e os sujeitos participantes aqui relatados, mostra que resistências foram diminuídas e indícios de autonomia foram verificados, mostrando a necessidade de novos estudos sobre a temática.<br>This study was carried out in a public school, through a partnership with the university, which was willing to advise teachers in the initial years of elementary education, working in the first and second cycles, in matters related to the teaching of science, particularly physics. The advisory consisted of a cooperation project, which included a program of continuing training and its developments in actions articulated by the partners. The planning and structuring of the program, carried out in the period from 2015 to 2016, were determined by the teachers of the sample, who exposed their fragilities and gaps to meet the needs arising from their daily practice. The design of the program was determined by the demands of the teachers, who were advised based on results of the research in Physics and Education teaching, elements that were innovative for the teachers of the sample. The study had as theoretical-methodological reference notions of Discourse Analysis in the French line, whose analytical device included dialogue with authors discussing educational innovation and professional teacher development. The central question of the research, aiming to reach its objectives was the following: How a sample of teachers of the initial years of the basic education interpreted the proposal of a course of continued formation on the education of physics, centered in the school, with advice of the university and base in the academic production of the area as innovative elements? The teachers' discourses throughout the course of the partnership were registered through questionnaires, transcriptions of reflections made throughout the process and in the productions authored by the teachers, referring to four distinct stages of course development. These data, especially the lesson plans elaborated for intervention in their classes and the transcriptions of the activities developed in the school show that a constant and present advice in a certain school, can change little by little the culture of the traditional science education that usually happens at Schools. And being aware of these counteracting gestures of interpretation, we are creating maneuvers to circumvent these obstacles that interfere or delay innovation. Finally, we understand that the research carried out in this project of cooperation between the university and the school, with the characteristics and subjects described here, show that resistances were diminished and that signs of autonomy were indicated, showing the need for new studies on the subject.

School-based efforts to promote physical activity and healthier eating are a potentially effective approach to decreasing child obesity in rural populations. This article describes follow-up data on student activity and eating behaviors 4 years after implementation of the Winning with Wellness obesity prevention initiative. This project was based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's coordinated school health model and used a community-based participatory research approach to address health behaviors in rural Appalachian elementary students. Results suggest significant increases in daily pedometer steps and healthier food selections by students as well as teacher support for continued health promotion efforts.

Abstract We live in the 21th century and one would think that gender equality has thrived and developed tremendously compared to where we once were historically. However, this phenomenon is still relevant and some would even argue more pressing today. One reason being could be since we are aware of how women were treated in the past, but still one can note the undermining position not only for women, but other forms of gender and sexuality still have worldwide. Furthermore, the Swedish curriculum also has a specified section, which entails that students should learn about gender equality and sexuality in order to understand the complexity in the structure of the society.In addition, researchers as, Kåreland (2005), Hirdman (1987), Lykke (2009), Klingorova (2015), and Keinänen (2007) agree that although the research regarding gender, and norms has evolved it still has to continue to press on the importance of the issue for the future. Moreover, this issue is not only appearing in history or social science textbooks, but also in religion textbooks which will be the core for this essay. We will analyze four religion textbooks for this essay, and focus on how the gender and sexuality are represented in the chapters about the five major religions for the years of higher elementary school. Moreover, we will present perspectives on how teachers use the textbooks in their classroom and what kind of impression the textbooks might convey to the students. Finally, we found that the majority of the student literature described gender and sexuality in a stereotypical manner, however, a teacher could find those useful to mark the view of gender and sexuality, and use the textbooks as an example of the view the society has today 2020.Keywords: Gender, sexuality, religious education and teaching material, and higher elementary school

An intervention, which targeted three- and four-year-old children's oral language, was developed for this study. The intervention was run over twice-weekly sessions, for ten weeks. Incorporating good Early Years practice, the first session in the week was a group shared storybook reading session with a puppet, where dialogic discussion took place and the children practised sequencing the story using visual prompts. The second weekly session consisted of planning, acting out and reviewing a planned pretend play episode based on the storybook which was read in that week's first session. Ninety-four children were randomly assigned to a control or treatment group and were tested at pre- and post-test on a battery of vocabulary and narrative assessments. The results of a Randomised Control Trial were positive in favour of the intervention. The most important of these results was a statistically significant effect on the receptive vocabulary of the children in the treatment group, with a large effect size, as measured by the standardised British Picture Vocabulary Scales (Dunn et al., 1997). There was also a significant effect on productive vocabulary, as measured by a Researcher-Designed Vocabulary Test (RDVT). This test was devised for the purpose of this study, testing one-word vocabulary, taken directly from the storybooks in the intervention. As this is not a norm-referenced, standardised test, caution is advisable in the interpretation of this result. A further positive effect concerned the narrative skills of the children in the treatment group, when compared to the children in a control group - the Mean Length of Utterance (MLU) score was higher in the treatment group, with a medium effect size. By examining the intervention by Randomised Control Trial, this study responds to the call from Lillard et al (2013) for more experimental research on pretend play and narrative. The acknowledgement of the role of the adult in the intervention coupled with the positive effect on the children's MLU and receptive vocabulary mean that the intervention, with further development, has the potential to be used as a Professional Development tool for supporting language development in the Early Years in the UK, in the future.

nÃo hÃ<br>A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo geral analisar como se concretizam as estratÃgias de articulaÃÃo curricular utilizadas numa escola pÃblica municipal de Fortaleza no Ãltimo ano da EducaÃÃo Infantil (EI) que visam à continuidade da formaÃÃo da crianÃa na sua transiÃÃo para o primeiro ano do Ensino Fundamental (EF), considerando as perspectivas dos diversos segmentos da comunidade escolar sobre esse processo. No Brasil, os momentos de transiÃÃo escolar ganham destaque a partir das mudanÃas na organizaÃÃo da EducaÃÃo BÃsica, tais como a ampliaÃÃo do EF de oito para nove anos de duraÃÃo e a extensÃo da escolaridade obrigatÃria de nove para quatorze anos. A transiÃÃo da crianÃa entre a EI e o EF à um passo delicado de seu percurso escolar, que pode ter consequÃncias negativas para o desenvolvimento e a aprendizagem dos indivÃduos (LERNER, 1996, apud FORMOSINHO e ARAÃJO, 2004). Portanto, a transiÃÃo à um processo que requer o planejamento de aÃÃes que articulem os modelos curriculares e o repensar acerca da prÃtica pedagÃgica do professor junto Ãs crianÃas (ZABALZA, 2007). Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de cunho etnogrÃfico, desenvolvida por meio do estudo de caso (BOGDAN E BIKLEN, 1994) de uma turma do Ãltimo ano da EducaÃÃo Infantil. Para a obtenÃÃo dos dados, foram realizadas observaÃÃes a fim de conhecer o currÃculo em curso nesse momento de transiÃÃo e entrevistas com os trÃs segmentos de sujeitos (profissionais da escola, famÃlias e crianÃas), com o intuito de apreender as suas perspectivas sobre o fenÃmeno. Os dados da investigaÃÃo foram analisados à luz da Psicologia de Desenvolvimento (WALLON, 1971; 2007) e das perspectivas de Formosinho (1998; 2001; 2008) e Zabalza (1998; 2007). Os resultados evidenciam que as vivÃncias educacionais das crianÃas na escola Vida de CrianÃa focam principalmente a aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita, para qual se destina a maior parte do tempo na escola. Em consequÃncia dessa prioridade, as brincadeiras, as interaÃÃes, a participaÃÃo das crianÃas e as atividades que envolvem outras Ãreas do conhecimento, como ciÃncias naturais e arte, adquirem pouca relevÃncia no contexto escolar. Assim, a anÃlise empreendida sobre as prÃticas pedagÃgicas aponta para o objetivo preparatÃrio da EI, tendo em vista a prevenÃÃo do fracasso escolar no EF mediante a antecipaÃÃo de prÃticas de escrita, numa perspectiva restrita do prÃprio processo de alfabetizaÃÃo das crianÃas.<br>The present research intended to analyze how the strategies of curricular articulation used in a Fortaleza's municipal public school, in the last year of Early Childhood Education, which aim to give continuity to the development of a child in his transition to the first year of Basic Education, get materialized, considering the perspectives of the several segments of school community about this process. In Brazil, the moments of school transition stand out from the changes in the organization of Early Childhood Education, such as the extension of Basic School period, from eight to nine years, and the increasing in the required period of scholarity, from nine to fourteen years. The child's transition from Early Childhood Education to Basic Education is a delicate step in his school path, and may result in negative consequences to the individuals' development and learning (LERNER, 1996 apud FORMOSINHO, ARAÃJO, 2004). Therefore, this transition is a process that requires the planning of actions that can articulate the curricular models, as well as a reassessment about the teacher's pedagogic practice in relation to children (ZABALZA, 2007). This is a qualitative ethnographic research developed by the study of the case (BOGDAN, BIKLEN, 1994) of a class belonging to the last year of Early Childhood Education. For construction of the data, observations were made in order to get to know the current curriculum in this moment of transition, and interviews were conducted with the three segments of subjects (school staff, families and children) in order to assimilate their perspectives about the phenomenon. The research's data were analyzed in light of Developmental Psychology (WALLON, 1971, 2007) and the prospects of Formosinho (1998, 2008) and Zabalza (1998, 2007). The results show that the educational experiences of children in the Vida de CrianÃa School mainly focus on reading and writing activities, for which most of the time is destined. As a result of this priority, the jokes, the interactions, the participation of children and the activities involving other areas of knowledge, such as natural sciences and art, acquire little relevance in the school context. Thus, the analysis made of the pedagogical practices leads to the objective of adequately preparing Early Childhood Education, in order to prevent school failure in Basic Education by the anticipation of writing practice, taking into consideration that it is a restricted view of the process itself of children's literacy.

Tais políticas se referem à inclusão de Ciências nas avaliações em larga escala, à formulação e distribuição de materiais pedagógicos nas escolas e à implementação de programas em parceria com Organizações da Sociedade Civil de Interesse Público (OSCIP), que vigoraram até 2013, o Programa Cientistas do Amanhã e o Programa Ciência Hoje de Apoio à Educação. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, que utiliza como procedimentos metodológicos entrevistas semiestruturadas, consulta a documentos públicos e visita a duas escolas da Rede. No eixo de políticas públicas, o principal referencial de análise é a abordagem do ciclo de políticas de Ball e Bowe (1992), que compreende os processos a partir de suas perspectivas macro e micro. No eixo do ensino de Ciências, a análise é feita sob a ótica do conceito de Alfabetização Científica, defendido por autores como Chassot (2000 e 2003), Lorenzetti e Delizoicov (2001), Krasilchik e Marandino (2004), Carvalho e Sasseron (2011). Sob a perspectiva dos atores educacionais, busca-se conhecer a prática atual no ensino de Ciências e o processo de desenvolvimento das políticas nos diferentes contextos de análise, percebendo a sua influência sobre o ensino. O estudo demonstrou que as políticas de caráter performático influenciaram o ensino de Ciências, estabelecendo diferenças entre os anos escolares, e que, embora tenham atribuído obrigatoriedade à disciplina nos quarto e quinto anos, não promoveram a Alfabetização Científica, voltando-se, prioritariamente, para a produção de índices de desempenho e o estímulo a práticas condizentes com uma concepção tradicional de ensino. Os programas de parceria foram considerados adequados pelos professores em relação aos materiais pedagógicos e estratégias de ensino, como a utilização de atividades investigativas e textos científicos. A ressalva é de que os mesmos foram implantados sem considerar a realidade das escolas e em dissonância com as demais propostas da Rede, dificultando sua plena realização. Efetivados como projetos de parceria da Secretaria de Educação e não das escolas, os programas não deixaram legado significativo após seu término. Conclui-se ser necessário uma reavaliação das atuais políticas educacionais para que o ensino de Ciências contribua efetivamente com a Alfabetização Científica e que estas só poderão lograr êxito se forem desenvolvidas em conformidade com a realidade das escolas e os governantes buscarem meios para a participação dos professores em todo o processo.<br>This research deals with the teaching of science in the first years of elementary school, taking to research aspects relevant to the teaching of the discipline from the implementation, in 2009, of new policies aimed at Municipal Secretary of Education of the city of Rio de Janeiro. These policies refer to the inclusion of the discipline of Science in large-scale evaluations, to the formulation and distribution of teaching materials at schools and to the implementation of programs in partnership with Civil Society Organizations of Public Interest (OSCIP), which lasted until 2013, the Programa Cientistas do Amanhã and the Programa Ciência Hoje de Apoio à Educação. This is a qualitative research, which uses semi-structured interviews as methodological procedures, in addition to consulting public documents and visits to schools. At the public policies axis, the main analytical framework is Ball and Bowe s policy cycle approach (1992), which understands the processes from their macro and micro perspectives. In the axis of the teaching of Sciences, the analysis is made from the point of view of the concept of Scientific Literacy, defended by authors like Chassot (2000 and 2003), Lorenzetti and Delizoicov (2001), Krasilchik and Marandino (2004), Carvalho and Sasseron (2011). From the perspective of the educational actors, it is sought to know the current practice in teaching science and the process of policy development in the different contexts of analysis, perceiving its influence on teaching. The study demonstrated that the performatic policies influenced the teaching of Sciences, establishing differences between the school years, and that, although they have given compulsory discipline to the 4 th and 5 th years, they did not promote Scientific Literacy, turning primarily to the production of performance indexes and the stimulation of practices consistent with a traditional conception of education. The partnership programs were considered adequate by teachers in relation to teaching materials and teaching strategies, such as the use of research activities and scientific texts. The caveat is that they were implemented without considering the reality of the schools and in dissonance with the other proposals, hindering its full realization. Accomplished as partnership projects of the Municipal Secretary of Education and not of the schools, the programs did not leave significant legacy after its end. It is concluded that a reassessment of the current educational policies is necessary so that the teaching of Sciences contributes effectively to the Scientific Literacy and that these can only be successful if developed in accordance with the reality of schools and if the rulers seek means to include the participation of teachers in the whole process.

A partir dele foram delineados dois objetivos específicos, a saber: analisar como os conteúdos de Geometria estão estruturados (introdução, abordagem e desenvolvimento) em capítulos não-geométricos; mapear, em capítulos não-geométricos, as tarefas que fazem uso da Geometria em seus enunciados. A base teórica que fundamentou esta pesquisa foram os estudos de Flores (2003, 2010, 2013) acerca da cultura visual, entendida como as concepções inerentes à cultura de uma sociedade, manifestas em sua forma visual. Dentro da cultura visual, foi assumido o termo visualidade, definido como os discursos que informam sobre o modo como nós vemos. Pautada numa abordagem qualitativa, foram analisadas, nesta dissertação, três coleções de livros didáticos, totalizando 12 obras. Todo o conteúdo de Geometria que permeava os capítulos de Álgebra, Aritmética, Probabilidade e Estatística foi classificado de acordo com as funções que exerce, a saber: função ilustrativa, formativa, explicativa, demonstrativa, representativa e imagem mental. From it, two specific objectives were outlined: to analyze how geometry contents are structured (introduction, approach and development) in non-geometric chapters; to map, in non-geometric chapters, the tasks that make use of geometry in their tasks. The theoretical basis that underpinted this research was Flores' studies (2003, 2010, 2013) about visual culture, understood as the conceptions inherent to the culture of a society, manifested in its visual form. Within the visual culture, the term visuality was assumed, defined as the discourses that inform us about the way we see. Based on a qualitative approach, three collections of textbooks were analyzed in this research, totaling 12 books. All the content of Geometry that permeated the chapters of Algebra, Arithmetic, Probability and Statistics was classified according to the functions it performs, namely: illustrative, formative, explanatory, demonstrative, representative and mental image function. A presente investigação inscreve-se nos campos dos Estudos de Gênero e dos Estudos Culturais que se aproximam dos referenciais pós-estruturalistas, apoiados na teorização de Michel Foucault. Examino que pedagogias financeiras para a infância se constituem na articulação dos discursos da Educação Matemática com os discursos do senso comum, produzindo modos de lidar com dinheiro que educam crianças urbanas inseridas em processos de escolarização contemporâneos. Analiso práticas culturais implicadas no uso do dinheiro, relatadas em diários e entrevistas de crianças que cursavam a quarta série e apresentadas como enredos de problemas escolares de duas coleções de livros didáticos de Matemática para os anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Descrevo uma discursividade sobre modos de gerenciar o dinheiro que circulam em várias instâncias culturais, especificamente nos conhecimentos matemáticos escolares. Buscando convergências, reiterações e rupturas entre os discursos veiculados nos materiais empíricos produzidos, e ainda problematizando os efeitos de uma educação financeira ativada por experts, argumento que a naturalização da posse de recursos financeiros e a invisibilidade da imprescindível necessidade dos mesmos na ação de comprar são elementos do campo discursivo analisado que, ao se articularem com a incitação ao consumo, produzem uma pedagogia financeira que apaga as diferenças e as desigualdades sociais existentes. Ainda questiono os atravessamentos de gênero que estão contidos nessas pedagogias que diferenciam meninos de meninas em seus modos de conseguir, gastar e guardar dinheiro, além de reforçar noções conflitantes de feminilidades e masculinidades.<br>This research appears within the fields of Gender Studies and Cultural Studies approaching post-structuralist references, supported by the theory of Michel Foucault. I examine which financial pedagogies for childhood are made on the articulation of Mathematics Education discourses with the common-sense discourse, producing ways to deal with money that educate urban children allocated in contemporary schooling processes. I analyze cultural practices involved in the use of money, reported in diaries and interviews of children who attended the fourth grade and presented as plots for school problems of two collections of Mathematics books for the early years of elementary school. I describe a discursivity about ways of managing money that travels in diverse cultural instances, specifically in the mathematical knowledge from school. Seeking similarities, repetitions and breaks between discourses conveyed through empirical materials produced, and even questioning the effects of financial education activated by experts, I argue that the naturalization of financial resources possession and the invisibility of their essential needs in the action of buying are elements of the discursive field analyzed, that, by relating with the encouragement to consume, produces a financial pedagogy that erases differences and social inequalities. I still question the gender crossings that are contained in these pedagogies that differentiate boys from girls in their ways of getting, spending and saving money, and enhance conflicting notions of femininity and masculinity.

A pesquisa foi motivada pela alteração da organização da educação básica por meio das Leis federais nº.11.114/05, que alterou a idade obrigatória de ingresso no ensino fundamental para seis anos de idade, e nº.11/274/06, que ampliou a duração do ensino fundamental para nove anos. Tinha-se como objetivo analisar a implementação do ensino fundamental de nove anos na rede municipal de São Paulo. Para tanto, foi realizado um estudo de caso em uma turma de 1º ano do ensino fundamental de nove anos, em escola da rede municipal, visando articular as orientações e normatizações da política nacional, sua adequação em nível municipal e sua realização no cotidiano da escola. Como forma de contextualizar o objeto de pesquisa abordou-se aspectos históricos da ampliação do ensino fundamental e buscou-se referências sobre a etapa até então responsável pelo atendimento das crianças de seis anos: a educação infantil. Foram levantados exemplos de experiências de ensino fundamental de nove anos anteriores à alteração nacional, bem como a relação das mudanças estudadas com o financiamento da educação básica. Foi feito levantamento documental sobre o tema nas normatizações nacionais, estaduais de São Paulo e municipais, a fim de subsidiar as análises dos dados da pesquisa de campo. O estudo realizado permite afirmar que a maioria das crianças de seis anos, até a alteraçãoda legislação, estava matriculada em alguma instituição, sendo a etapa da educação infantil a que concentrava a maioria das matrículas. Durante o 1º semestre de 2010, foi feita observação em uma turma de 1º ano de escola da rede municipal e realizadas entrevistas com os sujeitos envolvidos com a mudança: professoras, crianças, mães e representante da equipe gestora da escola. Partindo do referencial teórico do campo da educação infantil e considerando a necessidade da consolidação de uma pedagogia da infância, os dados revelaram que não houve a reestruturação do ensino fundamental a partir do ensino fundamental de nove anos, mas sim a antecipação de práticas de alfabetização antes realizadas na 1ª série do ensino fundamental com oito anos de duração. Também não houve espaço para participação das crianças e dos adultos envolvidos na definição da política e sua implementação.<br>The motivation of this research was the change of the organization of basic education by the federal lows nº. 11.114/05 that changed the mandatory age of entry into the elementary school at the age of six, and nº.11/274/06 that enlarged the duration of elementary school to nine years. This research aimed to analyze the implementation of the nine years elementary school in São Paulos public education system. In order to achieve this aim a study case was performed with a 1st year class of the new elementary school organization, in a public school, aiming to verify the integration of national policies guidelines and norms, yours adequacy at municipal level and its achievement in the school routine. In order to contextualize the research subject it deals with the historical feature of elementary schools enlargement and with kindergarten, which has been responsible for six years of childrens education. Examples of nine years elementary school organization that happened before the national change were collected, as well as the relation between these changes and basic education funding. A documentary research was made about the subject in a national level, state level and municipal level in order to support the data analyses collected in field work. The research data allows us to declare that most of the six years old children, until the change of national low, were enrolled in some kind of institution, most of them in kindergartens. The observation of a public schools 1st year class was performed in the first semester of the year 2010, as well as interviews with those who were involved with the change: teachers, children, mothers and directors of the school. Using the childhood education field as the theoretical basis and considering the need of a childhood pedagogy, the data shows that a reconstruction of the elementary school considering its enlargement did not happened, instead earlier literacy practices of the 1st grade of the eight years elementary school were anticipated. The data also shows that children and adults involved of this new model did not have the chance to participate in the definition and implementations process.

A pesquisa é qualitativa, descritiva (GODOY, 1995; GIL, 2008) e a questão problemática a ser investigada é: Quais os pressupostos teóricos metodológicos da Educação Física, nos 8º e 9º anos do ensino fundamental, na rede pública estadual de Irati-PR? O objetivo geral da pesquisa é desvelar os pressupostos teóricos metodológicos da Educação Física, nos 8º e 9º anos do ensino fundamental, na rede pública estadual de Irati-PR. Os objetivos específicos da pesquisa são: a) Identificar os subsídios teóricos metodológicos da Educação Física, dos 8º e 9º anos do ensino fundamental, na rede pública estadual de Irati-PR; b) Analisar a percepção dos professores de Educação Física, sobre o trabalho que desenvolvem nos 8º e 9º anos do ensino fundamental, na rede pública estadual de Irati-PR; c) Verificar o que os alunos dos 8º e 9º anos do ensino fundamental, da rede pública estadual de Irati-PR, dizem sobre as aulas de Educação Física. A fundamentação teórica da pesquisa foi consubstanciada pelos estudos referentes: ao contexto escola, as relações e implicações no campo educacional (BOURDIEU, 1983, 1992, 2004); a escola enquanto espaço formal de educação (LIBÂNEO, 1994; RIGAL, 2000; READ, 2001; SAVIANI, 2008; ALMEIDA; OLIVEIRA, 2014); aos aspectos da aula (LUCK, 1991; RODRIGUES, 2002; CRUZ; ANDRÉ, 2014); a influência da mídia no contexto escolar (CASTELLS, 2003; FREIRE; GUIMARÃES, 2003; BUCKINGHAM, 2006; SILVEIRA, 2008; BÉVORT; BELLONI, 2009; JENKINS, 2009; RIVOLTELLA, 2009; ROTHBERG; SIQUEIRA, 2012; PIRILLO, 2014; BALLA ET AL., 2016); aos aspectos dos documentos oficiais a nível nacional e estadual da educação básica em relação à Educação Física escolar (PARANÁ, 2008; BRASIL, 2013; BRASIL, 2017); as abordagens pedagógicas críticas da Educação Física escolar (HILDEBRANDT; LANGING, 1986; BETTI, 1991; COLETIVO DE AUTORES, 1992, 2009; KUNZ, 1994; FINCK, 2011); a organização curricular da Educação Física nos anos finais do ensino fundamental (GIMENO SACRISTÁN, 1998; PALMA et al., 2008; IMPOLCETTO; DARIDO, 2017); ao contexto das aulas de Educação Física nos anos finais do ensino fundamental (ROSÁRIO; DARIDO, 2005; ANTUNES; DANTAS, 2010; SANTOS; BRANDÃO, 2018). A pesquisa foi realizada em 2017 e 2018 em quatro (4) escolas da rede pública estadual de Irati/PR. Os sujeitos da pesquisa são cinco (5) professores de Educação Física e oitenta e sete (87) alunos dos 8º e 9º anos do ensino fundamental. A fundamentação teórica metodológica da pesquisa tem seus pressupostos nos estudos de Godoy (1995) e Gil (2008). Como instrumentos de coleta de dados foram utilizados a análise documental, a entrevista e o questionário (TRIVIÑOS, 1987; GIL, 2008). A organização e análise de dados foram realizadas de acordo com os pressupostos teóricos metodológicos da Análise de Conteúdo (BARDIN, 1977). Os resultados da pesquisa apontam que: os pressupostos teóricos metodológicos mais utilizados pelos professores são as DCE (PARANÁ, 2008); os professores buscam a formação integral dos alunos, desenvolver os conteúdos estruturantes (PARANÁ, 2008), e estimular as diversas habilidades motoras dos alunos; os
alunos gostam das aulas de Educação Física, o esporte é o conteúdo hegemônico em relação aos demais. Os resultados desta pesquisa poderão contribuir para ampliar as reflexões e discussões sobre as aulas de Educação Física nos anos finais do ensino fundamental, considerando possibilidades metodológicas para seu desenvolvimento numa perspectiva educacional crítica, pois os conhecimentos abordados no contexto escolar devem ter significado para os alunos no sentido de contribuírem para a sua formação.<br>This study aims at Physical Education in the 8th and 9th years of elementary school in the state public network of Irati-PR. The research is qualitative, descriptive (GODOY, 1995; GIL, 2008) and the problematic question to be investigated is: Which theoretical methodological assumptions of Physical Education, in the 8th and 9th years of elementary school, in the state public network of Irati-PR? The research subjects are five (5) Physical Education teachers and eighty-seven (87) eighth and nineth grade students. As data collection instruments were used to document analysis, the interview and the questionnaire (TRIVIÑOS, 1987; GIL, 2008). The organization and analysis of data were performed according to the theoretical methodological assumptions of Content Analysis (BARDIN, 1977). The results of the research indicate that: the theoretical methodological assumptions most used by teachers are the DCE (PARANÁ, 2008); the teachers seek the integral formation of the students, develop the structuring contents (PARANÁ, 2008), and stimulate the various motor skills of the students; the students enjoy the Physical Education classes, the sport is the hegemonic content in relation to the others. The results of this study will help to expand the reflections and discussions on the Physical Education classes in the final years of elementary school, considering methodological possibilities for your development in a critical educational perspective, because the knowledge

Orientador: Rodolfo Langhi<br>Resumo: Levantamentos realizados em publicações da área de Educação em Astronomia apontam que um dos focos recorrentes de pesquisa são os recursos/materiais didáticos e, dentre eles, estão os livros didáticos. Estes passaram a ser o principal foco das análises, pois, segundo alguns autores, eles se tornaram o principal, e às vezes o único, material utilizado pelos professores nas aulas de Ciências. Além disso, tem-se discutido o poder dos livros didáticos sobre o currículo. As pesquisas da área mostram que um dos obstáculos quanto ao ensino de astronomia é a relativa baixa quantidade de material bibliográfico, com linguagem acessível e fonte segura. Soma-se o fato de que, ao realizar um levantamento bibliográfico inicial, foram encontrados poucos trabalhos que discutiam a presença da astronomia em livros didáticos para o ensino fundamental I (ou anos iniciais). Diante de alguns questionamentos, o objetivo da presente pesquisa foi investigar o conteúdo de astronomia ensinado aos alunos dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental I a partir da análise do livro didático de Ciências adotado pelo sistema municipal de ensino de Bauru/SP. These became the major focus of analysis, because, according to some authors, it became the main, sometimes the only, material used by teachers in Science classes. In addition, the power of textbooks on the curriculum has also been discussed. Researches in the area shows that one of the obstacles to astronomy teaching is the relatively low amount of bibliographic material with accessible language and reliable sources. In addition, when conducting an initial bibliographic survey, few studies that discussed the presence of astronomy in textbooks for the early years of elementary school were found. In the face of some questions, the objective of this research was to investigate the astronomy contents taught to students in the early years of elementary school based on the analysis of the science textbook adopted by the municipal educational system of Bauru/SP. For this analysis, research results in this area and official government documents were used as a reference. As for the methodological basis, the research was supported by the principles of Content Analysis, following its three steps: pre-analysis, exploration of the material and treatment and interpretation of the results. Previous issue date: 2017-06-30<br>Esta dissertação tem por objeto estudar a relação entre a formação de professores de português dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental e práticas de ensino de literatura juvenil. Para tanto, optou-se por realizar uma pesquisa, inicialmente quantitativa, com 50 (100%) professores efetivos de português das Escolas Municipais de Ensino Fundamental da cidade de Itanhaém-SP. Procurou-se traçar um perfil médio dos docentes, considerando dados relativos à formação, adesão e/ou conhecimento de programas de incentivo à leitura, prática de ensino e referências às publicações literárias juvenis. A segunda etapa da pesquisa consistiu na apresentação e análise de 04 estudos de caso, com objetivo de destacar perfis de docentes leitores e suas práticas de ensino de literatura em escolas de 6º a 9º ano. Acrescenta-se à pesquisa, a análise de Programas de Incentivo à Leitura implementados no intervalo de 2009 a 2015 na rede de ensino itanhaense, sublinhando suas dimensões formativas, adesões ou reprovações. Desta forma, buscou-se investigar a influência da formação literária docente nas práticas de ensino de literatura nos anos finais do EF. Depreende-se, como resultado, que professores com relações mais estreitas com a leitura literária tendem a construir pontes entre esta e outras modalidades de cultura, ministrando aulas de português com vista à formação de leitores polivalentes, favorecendo a construção de uma cultura literária ao longo de toda Educação Básica. Na perspectiva teórica, fundamentamos o trabalho na Estética da Recepção, sobretudo nas concepções disseminadas por Umberto Eco, nos postulados de Antonio Candido sobre ensino de literatura e nos conceitos de leitura literária e sujeito leitor preconizados por Jouve e Rouxel. As considerações sobre a relação entre literatura e ensino pautam-se em estudos realizados por Rocco, Antunes, Ceccantini e Ferreira, somados às pesquisas sobre formação de professores descritas por Butlen e Rösing.<br>The present dissertation aims at studying the relationship between the cultural and academic background of Portuguese teachers during the final years of Elementary / Middle School and the teaching of youth literature. To that end, we decided to initially conduct quantitative research, with 50 (100%) of Portuguese permanent teachers in Municipal Elementary/ Middle Schools in the city of Itanhaém-SP. We have outlined an average profile of teachers, considering data related to their education, enrollment in or knowledge of reading incentive programs, teaching practices and references to youth literary publications. The second stage of the research consisted of the presentation and analysis of 4 case studies, whose objective was to highlight profiles of teachers who were avid readers, as well as their approaches to teaching literature in Elementary/ Middle schools (grades 6-9). Furthermore, we have analyzed the Reading Incentive Programs implemented during school break time (free period) from 2009 to 2016 in Itanhaem’s schools, emphasizing their formative dimensions, engagement or disapproval. Thus, we investigated the influence of teachers’ literary background over their literature teaching practices in the final years of Elementary School/Middle School. Based on the research, we have concluded that teachers who possess a closer connection to literary reading tend to build bridges between this and other cultural genres. They teach Portuguese classes with a view to the formation of polyvalent readers, favoring the construction of a literary culture throughout all Basic Education. From a theoretical perspective, the work is grounded on the Reception Aesthetics, notably on the conceptions disseminated by Umberto Eco, the postulates of Antonio Candido on the teaching of literature, and on the concepts of literary reading and reader-subject advocated by Jouve and Rouxel. Considerations on the relationship between literature and teaching are based on studies by Rocco, Antunes, Ceccantini and Ferreira, in addition to the research on continuing teacher education described by Butlen and Rösing.

Previous issue date: 2015-10-21<br>The study seeks to know the developed work of teachers from different curricular components of the final years of Elementary Public Schools in the city of Sao Paulo in order to identify and understand their perceptions about the teaching knowledge in the context of teaching and learning process. So this study discusses the knowledge that teachers acquire and / or rework in the pedagogical practice and that they see as a changing possibility on the teaching and learning that includes a quality education. The adopted framework is guided in studies on teacher knowledge and practice, knowledge about the processes of teaching and learning and the training of teachers that work in the final years of Elementary School by using the main authors, Tardif, Garrido, Gatti and Luckesi. Therefore this study proceed to the analysis of official documents and the application of a questionnaire to twelve teachers from the final years of Elementary School in order to learn about aspects of professional life, as well as the joints they do between teaching knowledge, professional practices and teaching and learning process. The analyzes reveal that the contributions made by these authors are essential to guide the teaching in that to respect the mobilization / construction of knowledge necessary to teach from an educational praxis committed with knowledge, know-how and know-to be. Finally, the data show the need to ensure discussions about the curriculum of the courses of the final years of Elementary School in order to realize that the evolution that educators aspire to everyone involved in the teaching and learning is resignify in practice knowledge.<br>O estudo busca conhecer o trabalho desenvolvido por professores de diferentes componentes curriculares dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental da rede pública de ensino da cidade de São Paulo de modo a identificar e compreender suas percepções a respeito dos saberes docentes no contexto do processo ensino e aprendizagem. Assim discute-se os saberes que os professores adquirem e/ou reelaboram na prática pedagógica e que são por eles vistos como possibilidades de mudanças no processo ensino e aprendizagem que contemple um ensino de qualidade. O referencial adotado pauta-se em estudos sobre saberes docentes e sua prática, o conhecimento sobre os processos de ensino e aprendizagem e a formação dos professores que atuam nos anos finais do Ensino de Fundamental, tendo como autores principais, Tardif, Garrido, Gatti e Luckesi. Para tanto, procede-se à análise de documentos oficiais e à aplicação de um questionário a doze professores dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental com o objetivo de conhecer aspectos da vida profissional, bem como as articulações que eles fazem entre saberes docentes, práticas profissionais e processo ensino e aprendizagem. Os resultados demonstram os saberes desenvolvidos pelos docentes, e as práticas pedagógicas que construíram ao longo de seu exercício profissional frente as dificuldades evidenciadas em alguns grupos de alunos. Por fim, os dados revelam a necessidade de se garantir discussões sobre o currículo das turmas dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental de forma a se perceber que a evolução que os educadores almejam com todos os envolvidos no processo ensino e aprendizagem se ressignificam na prática do conhecimento.

La thèse a été développée avec le soutien du CAPES en schéma de cotutelle entre l'Université Fédérale Rurale de Pernambuco (Brésil) et l'Université Lumière - Lyon 2 (France). La recherche a été menée entre 2013 et 2017 ayant pour objectif analyser les caractéristiques psychiques, sociologiques et didactiques du rapport au savoir mathématique à partir d'une étude exploratoire réalisée avec 32 enseignants qui travaillent les mathématiques dans les premières années de l'école primaire publiques de la municipalité de Cabo de Santo Agostinho (Région Métropolitaine de l'État de Pernambuco-Brésil). A cet effet, nous nous sommes appuyés sur les apports théoriques de la psychanalyse, de la sociologie, de la didactique et des mathématiques tirés des contributions théoriques de Beillerot (1989), Nimier (1988), Charlot (2000) et Chevallard (1996). Cette recherche se caractérise par une étude phénoménologique, exploratoire sur la relation à la connaissance mathématique. Les outils méthodologiques utilisés dans la construction des données de recherche sont les suivants: un ensemble de questionnaires, les carnets de terrain et les interviews d'auto confrontation simples. Les informations obtenues grâce à l'utilisation de cesoutils ont été traitées, analysées et catégorisées selon les prémisses de l'analyse du discours (dans la perspective renforcée par Charaudeau, 2012, 2014) et de l'analyse statistique impliquée - ASI (dans la perspective suggérée par Regis Grás, 2015 et Régnier, 2010). L'identification, la description et l'analyse des caractéristiques psychanalytiques et des rapports aux mathématiques sont basées sur la catégorisation proposée par Nimier (1988). Alors que l'étude des caractéristiques sociologiques et didactiques est basée sur les résultats de recherches antérieures et les discours des participants sur la scolarité elle-même, la professionnalisation, la formation mathématique, les pratiques pédagogiques et les étudiants. Les résultats suggèrent que les modes de relation à la connaissance mathématique des participants sont constitués par les attributs psychiques de plus d'une catégorie proposée par Nimier (1988). Cependant, on peut dire que parmi les collaborateurs de l'étude, les profils caractérisés comme analytiques et contrôlants prédominent, au détriment des profils plus persécutifs ou schizoïdes. Pour ces enseignants, les mathématiques représentent un objet idéalisé (représentant la beauté, l'harmonie et l'organisation),qui comble les lacunes personnelles (enseignant idéal en mathématiques). En ce sens, nous avons vérifié que la relation à la connaissance mathématique, instituée par ces professeurs tout au long de la professionnalisation, est plus institutionnelle que personnelle. Puisque ce type de relation souffre des influences des interactions sociales et du processus de formation. Ces deux facteurs apparaissent comme des aspects prépondérants dans l'évolution de la relation à la connaissance des enseignants participants. Parmi les contributions de la recherche, nous soulignons la promotion de la réflexion sur le rapport au savoir des enseignants qui travaillent les mathématiques dans les premières années de l'éducation primaire brésilienne. The methodological tools used in the construction of the researchdata were a set of questionnaires, field diaries and simple self-confrontation interviews. The information obtainedby using those instruments was treated, analysed and categorised according to the premises of discourse analysis(in the perspective fostered by Charaudeau, 2012, 2014) and the implicative statistical analysis - A.S.I. (in theperspective suggested by Regis Grás, 2015 and Régnier, 2010). The identification, description and analysis ofpsychoanalytic characteristics and modes of relationship with mathematics is based on the categorisation proposedby Nimier (1988), whereas the study of sociological and didactic characteristics is based on the results of previousresearch and on the participants' discourses, on schooling itself, professionalisation, mathematical training,pedagogical practices and students. The results suggest that the modes of the participants' relationship withmathematical knowledge are constituted by the psychic attributes of more than one category proposed by Nimier(1988). However, we can affirm that among the study collaborators, profiles characterised as analytical andcontrolling predominate, to the detriment of more persecutory or schizoid profiles. For those teachers, mathematicsis an idealised object (representing beauty, harmony and organization), which fills personal gaps (idealmathematics teacher). In this sense, we verified that the relationship with mathematical knowledge established bythose teachers throughout professionalization is more institutional than personal, since this type of relationshipsuffers the influences of social interactions and the formative process. Both factors emerge as preponderant aspectsin the evolution of the relationship with the knowledge of the participating teachers. Among the contributions ofthe research, we highlight the promotion of discussion on the relationship with knowledge of teachers who teachmathematics in the initial years of Brazilian fundamental education. As well as we see that the possibility ofmaterialising the notion in question through the psychic characteristics that shape the model proposed in thisresearch (built on the interfaces between the psychic, sociological and didactic dimensions of teachers' relationshipwith mathematical knowledge) is an adjustment of the reference model, according to the desires they share witheach other. Os resultados sugerem que os modos de relação ao saber matemático dos participantes são constituídos por atributos psíquicos de mais de uma categoria proposta por Nimier (1988). Entretanto, podemos afirmar que entre os colaboradores do estudo, predominam os perfis caracterizados como analíticos e controladores, em detrimento dos perfis mais persecutórios ou esquizoides. Para estes professores a matemática figura como objeto idealizado (que representa a beleza, a harmonia e a organização), que preenche as lacunas pessoais (professor de matemática ideal). Nesse sentido, constatamos que a relação ao saber matemático, instituída por estes professores ao longo da profissionalização, é mais institucional do que pessoal. Uma vez que, este tipo de relação sofre as influências das interações sociais e do processo formativo. Estes dois fatores emergem como aspectos preponderantes na evolução da relação ao saber dos professoresparticipantes. Entre as contribuições da pesquisa destacamos o fomento à reflexão acerca da relação ao saber dos professores que ensinam matemática nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental brasileiro. Assim como, vislumbramos a possibilidade de materializar da noção em questão, por meio das características psíquicas que configuram o modelo proposto nesta pesquisa (construído em função das interfaces entre as dimensões psíquicas, sociológicas e didáticas da relação ao saber matemático dos professores) é uma adequação do modelo de referência, em função dos desejos que compartilham entre si. Em síntese, o desejo de ser professor, de realizar a função (que o produto das ações docentes seja a garantia de um ambiente favorável às aprendizagens matemáticas, inclusive com o estabelecimento de laços afetivos com as crianças) e de obter notoriedade (serem reconhecidos pela eficácia das suas competências, habilidades e práticas em sala de aula), dinamizam e modelam a relação ao saber matemático dos professores participantes em virtude da preponderância dos aspectos sociais presentes na vida pessoal e profissional

Este trabalho apresenta uma proposta desenvolvida em uma escola da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Porto Alegre que faz uso do recurso LEGO® nas aulas de matemática. O texto busca responder às seguintes perguntas: É possível utilizar a robótica educacional (LEGO® Mindstorms®) como recurso de ensino de Matemática nos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental? Como? Utilizou-se o estudo de caso como metodologia de pesquisa. As atividades visando a integração dos conceitos matemáticos e a robótica educacional foram elaboradas e implementadas à luz das teorias de Seymour Papert e Gèrard Vergnaud. O ambiente de aprendizagem e a Teoria dos Campos Conceituais também forneceram suporte para a análise dos dados. São mencionadas outras pesquisas referentes ao tema Robótica Educacional e suas contribuições para o atual trabalho. Como resultados observou-se um maior envolvimento dos estudantes nos estudos de matemática e robótica, a aceitação do erro como uma estratégia na busca de soluções de problemas de matemática e robótica e o desenvolvimento de estratégias para organizar-se em grupos de trabalho.<br>This dissertation presents a proposal developed in a school from Rede Municipal de Ensino de Porto Alegre that makes use of LEGO® in math classes. The text tries to answer the following questions: Is it possible to utilize the educational robotic (LEGO® Mindstorms®) as a resource for teaching Mathematics in the final years of elementary school? How? It was utilized the study of case as a research methodology. The activities targeting the integration of mathematics concepts and educational robotic were elaborated and implemented in lights of Seymour Papert’s and Gèrard Vergnaud’s theory. The learning environment and the Conceptual Fields Theory also provided support for the analysis of the data. Other researches relative to the Educational Robotic theme are mentioned and their contribution to the actual dissertation. As results could be observed a greater involvement of students in the studies of mathematics and robotic, the acceptation of the error as a strategy to find the solutions of mathematic and robotic problems, the development of strategies to organize groups of work.

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar a influência do letramento emergente no processo de alfabetização em um grupo de alunos que cursaram o primeiro ano do Ensino Fundamental de nove anos em uma escola municipal em Santa Isabel. Tendo constatado a necessidade da recuperação lúdica do letramento emergente para estas crianças, buscamos desenvolver atividades que contemplassem habilidades orais, escritas e leitoras, sempre tendo em mente, o desenvolvimento do letramento que permeava tais habilidades. Com a crença no fato de ser o letramento fundamental na constituição de um cidadão que se posicione criticamente na sociedade, desenvolvemos, por meio de uma pesquisa-ação, um trabalho que buscou ampliar o letramento dos alunos, possibilitando uma passagem pelo processo de alfabetização da maneira mais natural possível, tencionando amenizar as eventuais diferenças existentes devido a fatores sócio-culturais, quando do ingresso destes alunos no Ensino Fundamental. Para tanto, lançamos mão de recursos como: diário de bordo com anotações detalhadas sobre o desenrolar das atividades ao longo das aulas, questionários sócio-culturais com as famílias dos alunos, e entrevistas com algumas mães, além de portfólios e atividades diagnósticas recolhidas ao longo dos anos letivos de 2009 e 2010. Autores como Bakhtin, Vigotsky, Freire, Lahire, Ferreira, Colello, Kishimoto, Soares, Semeghini-Siqueira, entre outros, constituem a fundamentação teórica a partir da qual esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida. A análise dos dados aponta para o fato de que, quando uma criança tem a possibilidade de experimentar eventos de letramento em sua primeira infância, essas vivências a conduzem por um processo de alfabetização sem grandes dificuldades, entretanto, a análise dos dados também nos indica que, embora este processo se desenvolva quase que naturalmente, alguns sujeitos da pesquisa fogem a ele, o que nos permite vivenciar uma riqueza de possibilidades própria da diversidade humana.<br>This research aims to show the influence of literacy in the process of emergent literacy in a group of students from the first level of the elementary school in Santa Isabel. Based on the search for the playful recovery of emergent literacy, we seek to develop recreational activities addressed to writing, reading and oral skills, always bearing in mind the development of the inner literacy skills. With the belief that literacy is crucial in the formation of a citizen who is critically positioned in society, We tried to developed through an action-search, a work that aimed to improve the literacy of students in order to allow a passage through the process of acquiring literacy the most natural way possible, seeing minimized any differences due to existing socio-cultural factors, previous to the admission of students in elementary school. For this purpose we used features such as diary book with detailed notes on the conduct of activities throughout the school, socio-cultural research with the students families and interviews with some mothers, as well as portfolios and diagnostic activities collected over the academic years of 2009 and 2010. Authors such as Bakhtin, Vigotsky, Freire, Lahire, Ferreira, Colello, Kishimoto, Soares, Semeghini-Siqueira among others, constitute the scope on which this study was developed. The data analysis points to the fact that when a child has the chance to experience literacy events in his early childhood, these experiences lead to a process of literacy without major difficulties, however, the data analysis also indicates that, although this process develops almost naturally, some research subjects flee to it, allowing us to experience the wealth possibilities of human diversity itself.

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo efetuar uma análise dos discursos especializados sobre as relações entre a infância e a cultura escolar letrada a partir da perspectiva de Michel Foucault. Mais precisamente, busca-se examinar os discursos sobre a idade mais adequada para o início do processo de alfabetização, que marca a passagem da educação infantil para o ensino fundamental. O interesse pelo tema justifica-se tendo em vista a recente ampliação do ensino fundamental para nove anos, com a antecipação do ingresso no primeiro ano, que passou a ocorrer aos seis anos e não mais aos sete anos de idade. Esse fato gerou uma série de discussões pedagógicas acerca das consequências dessa mudança para as crianças de seis anos, que anteriormente frequentavam a educação infantil e passaram a frequentar o ensino fundamental. A partir do estudo de documentos oficiais e revistas pedagógicas destinados à formação docente, pretende-se identificar os argumentos mobilizados nos discursos para a defesa de uma idade mais indicada para o início do processo de alfabetização. A análise evidenciou que os discursos sobre o tema caracterizam a educação infantil e o ensino fundamental como duas culturas escolares distintas. A educação infantil é concebida como uma etapa da escolarização que tem como propósito favorecer o desenvolvimento infantil espontâneo, de modo que todo aprendizado realizado nessa etapa, inclusive o da leitura e da escrita, deve partir do interesse e da curiosidade das próprias crianças. O ensino fundamental, por sua vez, destina-se à formação do estudante por meio do ensino sistemático das disciplinas escolares definidas no currículo.<br>This research aims to make an analysis of the specialized discourse on the relationship between childhood and schools literate culture, from Michel Foucault\'s perspective. More precisely, it seeks to examine the speeches on the most appropriate age for the beginning of literacy process, which marks the transition from preschool to elementary school. The importance of this subject is justified in view of the recent expansion of primary education to nine years, with the anticipation of entering the first year, which now occur at six and no more at seven years old. This has raised a number of pedagogical discussions about the consequences of this change for children that are six years old, who previously attended kindergarten and began to attend the elementary school. From the study of official documents and pedagogical journals for teachers training, the analysis intended to identify the arguments deployed in the speeches for the defense of a more appropriate age for the beginning of the literacy process. The analysis showed that the speeches on the subject characterize the kindergarten and elementary school as two different school cultures. Early childhood education is conceived as a stage of schooling that aims to foster the spontaneous child development, so that all learning undertaken at this stage, including reading and writing, should start from the interest and curiosity of the children themselves. The primary school, in turn, is intended for the formation of the student through the systematic teaching of school subjects defined in the curriculum.

Esta dissertação é fruto de uma pesquisa realizada com o objetivo de examinar enunciados produzidos por professoras dos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental sobre uma escola bilíngue para alunos surdos e o ensino de matemática. Os aportes teóricos que sustentam a investigação são as teorizações de Michel Foucault e Ludwig Wittgenstein, principalmente aqueles presentes em na obra Investigações Filosóficas. Além disso, foram utilizados conceitos do campo dos Estudos Surdos, conforme descrito por Carlos Skliar, Maura Corcini Lopes e Adriana Thoma. O material de pesquisa examinado consiste em: narrativas de quatro professoras dos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental da escola investigada, geradas em entrevistas, documentos oficiais e Registros de Chamada da instituição. A estratégia analítica utilizada para examinar esse material orientou-se pela análise do discurso, na perspectiva de Michel Foucault. O exercício analítico realizado a partir do uso das ferramentas teóricas selecionadas mostrou que a escola de ouvintes e a escola de surdos têm fortes semelhanças de família, responsáveis pela disciplinarização dos corpos e dos saberes e condução das condutas dos alunos. Também foi possível identificar que tanto a escola de surdos como a de ouvintes se ocupam da produção de sujeitos disciplinados, normalizados a partir de um modelo a ser seguido, contudo, no caso dessa primeira, com um referencial de normalidade pautado em saberes provenientes da comunidade surda. Na disciplina de Matemática, especificamente, foi identificado que as semelhanças de família entre o ensino de surdos e ouvintes é ainda mais forte, visto que este campo de conhecimento, segundo os dados empíricos, pode ser trabalhado visualmente. Percebeu-se que a imperatividade do uso dos materiais concretos nas aulas de Matemática também está presente, porém com uma outra justificativa: a de que o aluno surdo é um sujeito visual. Assim, pode-se pensar que os jogos de linguagem que constituem a Matemática Escolar seguem predominantes, mesmo nas escolas de surdos, com sua gramática pautada por formalismo, ordem e assepsia.<br>This dissertation is the result of a research carried out with the objective of examining statements made by elementary school teachers about a bilingual school for deaf students and the teaching of mathematics. The theoretical contributions that support the investigation are the theories of Michel Foucault and Ludwig Wittgenstein, mainly those present in the work Philosophical Investigations. In addition, concepts from the field of Deaf Studies were used, as described by Carlos Skliar, Maura Corcini Lopes and Adriana Thoma. The research material examined consists of: narratives of four Elementary School teachers of the school investigated, generated in interviews, official documents and some observation records from the institution. The analytical strategy used to examine this material was guided by discourse analysis, from Michel Foucault's perspective. The analytical exercise based on the use of the selected theoretical tools showed that the school of hearers and the school of the deaf have strong family resemblances, responsible for disciplining the bodies and the knowledge and conducting the students' behaviors. It was also possible to identify that both the school of deaf and the hearers are concerned with the production of disciplined subjects, normalized from a model to be followed, however, in the case of this first, with a referential of normality based on knowledge from the deaf community. In the discipline of Mathematics, specifically, it was identified that the family similarities between the teaching of deaf and hearers are even stronger, since this field of knowledge, according to the empirical data, can be worked visually. It was noticed that the imperative use of concrete materials in Mathematics classes is also present, but with another justification: that the deaf student is a visual subject. Thus, one may think that the language games that make up School Mathematics remain predominant, even in schools of the deaf, with its grammar marked by formalism, order and asepsis.

Previous issue date: 2014-07-01<br>This study has been developed from problematizations about the enlargement of Elementary Education (EE), to nine years lasting, referring to reading and writing teaching in the Early Years of learning. The aim was to analyze, with the teachers of 5th and 6th grades of this academic stage, in São João, PR, the relationships of this new
organization of EE and the reading and writing learning process. The survey took place from 2012 to 2013 and involved all eleven state and municipal schools which offer 5th and 6th grades in this town. It was interviewed sixteen people with semistructured questions - six state teachers of Portuguese Language in the 6th grade, seven municipal
teachers of the 5th grade (AIEF ), a municipal pedagogy teacher, the municipal secretary of education and the responsible for AIEF of nine years at Núcleo Regional de Pato Branco. The studied documents were the Pedagogical Proposition of schools for AIEF of the organization lasting eight and nine years of studying at elementary school in São João County; internal data of the institutions, referring to the ages and the scholar learning of Portuguese Language, the classes from 2011, 2012 and 2013, of 4th and 5th grades and 5th and 6th grades. The data were analyzed based on the assumptions of historical materialism as a theoretical-methodological approach that enabled a reflection
upon a the research object, considering it in its entirety, relationships and contradictions, and historical and cultural assumptions of language studies, by Vygostki and Bakhtin, who understand the language as a social phenomenon, resulting from the cultural dimension of human experience and constituent subjects. The results of this study show
that, with the implementation of Elentary Education of nine years lasting in the São João, the guidelines related to the adoption of learning cycles, as proposed for integral formation of students, received emphasis only in the first three AIEF grades , not
contemplating the following grades (4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grades); there wasn´t reorganization of school content for classes of 5th grade; there wasn´t planning meetings between state and local teachers reported; and also there was no training for education professionals so it didn´t gave the support for schools and teachers to make the effective transition. This study also pointed improvement in students performance; changes on teachers' practices aiming a more contextualized and dynamic teaching, able to explore the textual diversity, with more time on reading and producing texts, than,
specifically, the normative language teaching; inclusion of specific teaching content of literacy in the reorganized PPC; improved mastery of the written code with regard to the technical issues of writing students who arrive at 5th and 6th grades; and greater interest
in reading. Such positive results in teaching and learning of reading and writing are situated in a historical context multidetermined and beyond the simple relation with the expansion of the time spent in school and its obligation, they may have been influenced by other programs and educational policies. However, the cultural-historical perspective that justified this search, it is recognized that when children get into school earlier, they have enlarged their possibilities of relations with the written culture and thus made possible the expansion of their learning.<br>Este estudo se desenvolveu a partir de problematizações sobre a ampliação do Ensino Fundamental (EF), para nove anos de duração, referentes ao ensino de leitura e escrita nos Anos Iniciais. O objetivo foi analisar, junto às professoras de 5º e 6º anos dessa etapa escolar, do município de São João, PR, as relações dessa nova organização do EF com a aprendizagem de leitura e escrita. A pesquisa foi realizada no período de 2012 a 2013 e envolveu todas as onze escolas estaduais e municipais que ofertam 5º e 6º anos, no município. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com dezesseis sujeitos - seis professoras estaduais de Língua Portuguesa no 6º ano, sete professoras municipais
do 5º ano (AIEF), uma pedagoga da rede municipal, uma secretária de educação do município e a responsável pelos AIEF de nove anos do Núcleo Regional de Educação de Pato Branco. Os documentos analisados foram as Propostas Pedagógicas Curriculares dos AIEF da organização de oito e de nove anos do EF no município; dados internos das instituições, referentes às idades e ao aproveitamento escolar em
Língua Portuguesa, das turmas de 2011, 2012 e 2013, de 4ª e 5ª séries e 5º e 6º anos. As informações coletadas foram analisadas a partir dos pressupostos do materialismo histórico, como opção teórico-metodológica que possibilitou uma reflexão sobre o objeto de pesquisa, considerando-o em sua totalidade, relações e contradições, e
pressupostos histórico-culturais dos estudos da linguagem, de Vigostki e Bakthin, que compreendem a língua como fenômeno social, resultante da dimensão cultural da experiência humana e constituinte dos sujeitos. Os resultados apontam que, com a implantação do Ensino Fundamental de nove anos no município de São João, as orientações referentes à adoção dos ciclos de aprendizagem, como proposta de formação integral dos estudantes, recebeu ênfase apenas nos três primeiros anos dos AIEF, não contemplando os anos seguintes (4º, 5º, 6º, 7º, 8º e 9º anos); que não houve reorganização dos conteúdos escolares para as turmas de 5º ano; não foram relatados momentos de planejamento conjunto entre professores municipais e estaduais; e que as formações destinadas aos profissionais da educação não atenderam às necessidades das escolas e professores, para efetuar a transição. Apontam, também, melhoria no desempenho dos estudantes; alteração das práticas docentes em função de um ensino
mais contextualizado e dinâmico, capaz de explorar a diversidade textual, com maior tempo dedicado à leitura e produção de textos, do que, especificamente, ao ensino normativo da língua; inclusão de conteúdos de ensino específicos da alfabetização na PPC reorganizada; melhora do domínio do código alfabético no que se refere às questões técnicas de escrita dos alunos que chegam aos 5º e 6º anos; e maior interesse pela leitura. Tais resultados positivos no ensino e aprendizagem de leitura e escrita situam-se em um contexto multideterminado historicamente e ultrapassam a simples relação com a ampliação do tempo de permanência na escola e sua obrigatoriedade e podem ter sido influenciados por outros programas e políticas educacionais. Contudo, pela perspectiva histórico-cultural que fundamentou a pesquisa, reconhece-se que, ao ingressarem na escola mais cedo, as crianças têm ampliadas suas possibilidades de relações com a cultura escrita e, consequentemente, possibilitad a a ampliação de suas aprendizagens.

A presente pesquisa investiga qual o lugar da Geografia nos currículos das escolas dos três primeiros anos do Ensino Fundamental no Brasil, buscando tecer um comparativo entre o PNAIC (Pacto Nacional pela Alfabetização na Idade Certa), da Secretaria de Educação Básica do Governo Federal e o programa Ler e Escrever, da Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo. A pesquisa aborda os anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental por ser uma fase em que a Geografia costuma ser relegada a segundo plano havendo a priorização das disciplinas de Língua Portuguesa e Matemática. A abordagem metodológica escolhida é a análise documental com contornos qualitativos, o que possibilitou estabelecer paralelos entre os referidos programas, partindo dos documentos disponibilizados nos sítios dos referidos programas. O procedimento para levantamento de dados e a organização dos mesmos pauta-se na análise descritiva dos referidos documentos. Os resultados possibilitam ainda, discutir sobre as atuais políticas públicas para a educação dos anos iniciais no Brasil, identificando como a Geografia Escolar está presente e se esses programas. Para além, discutimos a importância da Geografia Escolar para o educando que começa a realizar a leitura da palavra escrita, de seu entorno e seu cotidiano e embasamo-nos em teóricos da área da Geografia Escolar como: Bitencourt, Callai, Cavalcânti, Pontuschka e Straforini<br>This essay researches what is the place of the Geography on the first three years of Brazilian Elementary School curriculum, building a comparative approach between PNAIC (Pacto Nacional pela Alfabetização na Idade Certa), a program of the Federal Government, and the Ler e Escrever, a program of State Government of São Paulo. The essay approaches the initial years of the Elementary School, through the period where Geography is sent to background and Portuguese Language and Mathematics are the main discipline of the curriculum. The chosen method is the qualitative documental analysis to raise parallels between both programs, using the published documents on their websites. The procedure to raise data and organize them is the documental descriptive analysis. Even more, the results give the possibility to discuss about the nowadays educational politics on early schooling in Brazil, identifying how is Geography being and if those government programs enables the students to reach the geographic knowledge.
