El cemento portland y el yeso son conglomerantes que de forma separada, son muy utilizados en la construcción. El cemento portland en estado endurecido presenta buena resistencia y durabilidad en ambiente húmedo, pero tiene un fraguado lento, y es caro. En cambio el yeso, tiene la ventaja de ser más barato y tiene un fraguado rápido; sin embargo su uso está limitado por su baja resistencia mecánica y por su sensibilidad a los ambientes húmedos. Yes/No tests have become well-established as a method for assessing the vocabulary size of first and second language learners (Anderson & Freebody, 1983; Meara & Buxton, 1987). However, despite a general acceptance of their usefulness, no evaluation studies had ever been conducted of the tests.
