Abstract:
Dans cet article, nous soutiendrons que le Yi Jing présente une conception d’un devenir qui n’est pas seulement constant, mais différentiel, tout comme chez Gilles Deleuze dans ses livres Différence et répétition et Le bergsonisme. Nous trouvons particulièrement intéressant que Deleuze et les auteurs du Yi Jing mettent le concept du devenir (ou du changement) au premier plan de leurs spéculations et au fondement de leurs ontologies. Bien qu’il y ait de différences marquantes entre la philosophie deleuzienne et la philosophie sous-jacente dans le Yi Jing, fondamentalement, la « répétition de la différence » chez Deleuze et le « changement perpétuel » dans le Yi Jing reviennent au même. Par cet article, nous espérons pouvoir combler quelques lacunes quant aux connexions entre la philosophie occidentale et la philosophie orientale. Un autre objectif consiste à apporter quelque chose de nouveau à la littérature secondaire. Il y a peu de recherches consacrées à la comparaison Philosophie Deleuzienne / Philosophie Chinoise, alors nous espérons apporter une contribution à la littérature comparative en philosophie, ainsi qu’à la littérature secondaire sur Deleuze et le Yi Jing respectivement.

Abstract:
The ArgumentTo highlight speculative trends specific to the mathematical tradition that developed in China, the paper analyzes an excerpt of a third-century commentary on a mathematical classic, which arguably contains a proof. The paper shows that the following three tasks cannot be dissociated one from the other: (1) to discuss how the ancient text should be read; (2) to describe the practice of mathematical proof to which this text bears witness; (3) to bring to light connections between philosophy and mathematics that it demonstrates were established in China. To this end the paper defines its use of the word “proof” and outlines a program for an international history of mathematical proof. It describes the sense in which the text conveys a proof and shows how it simultaneously fulfills algorithmic ends, bringing to light a formal pattern that appears to be fundamental both for mathematics and for other domains of reality. The interest in transformations that mathematical writings demonstrate in China at that time seems to have been influenced by philosophical developments based on The Book of Changes (Yi-jing), which the excerpt quotes. This quotation within a mathematical context makes it possible to suggest an interpretation for a rather difficult philosophical statement.

Aim: This study aims to compare the effectiveness of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) against combination therapy in the secondary prevention of esophageal variceal bleeding.Method: Literature search was conducted using 4 databases (PubMed, Cochrane, Ovid MEDLINE, and Ovid Embase) and individual hand searching. The selected studies were then critically appraised for their validity, importance, and applicability.Results: A total of 136 results were retrieved, and 2 systematic reviews and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were selected. Both studies showed that TIPS significantly decreased incidence of esophageal variceal rebleeding but had no significant effect on reducing overall mortality when compared to combination therapy. Study by Lin et al found that TIPS was significantly better than combination therapy for reducing mortality from variceal rebleeding, but study by Jing et al found no significant difference.Conclusion: TIPS is superior to combination therapy in reducing the incidence of esophageal variceal rebleeding. Nevertheless, its effectiveness in reducing mortality needs further investigation. Future research should look into its complications and cost-effectiveness in developing countries like Indonesia.

Abstract. Snow dynamics are crucial in ecosystems, affecting radiation balance, hydrological cycles, biodiversity, and human activities. Snow areas with notably diverse characteristics are extensively distributed in China, mainly including Northern Xinjiang (NX), Northeast China (NC), and the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau (QTP). Spatiotemporal continuous snow monitoring is indispensable for ecosystem maintenance. Nevertheless, the formidable challenge of cloud obscuration severely impedes data collection. In the past decades, abundant binary snow cover area (SCA) maps have been retrieved from moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer (MODIS) datasets. However, the integrated normalized difference snow index (NDSI) maps containing additional details on snow cover extent are still extremely scarce. In this study, a recent 20-year stretch seamless Terra–Aqua MODIS NDSI collection in China is generated using a Spatio-Temporal Adaptive fusion method with erroR correction (STAR), which comprehensively considers spatial and temporal contextual information. Evaluation tests confirm that the cloud-free STAR NDSI collection is superior to the two baseline datasets. The omission error decreased by 10 % in NX compared to the snow cover extent product, and the average correlation coefficient increased by 0.11 compared to the global cloud-gap-filled MODIS NDSI product. Consequently, this collection can serve as a basic dataset for hydrological and climatic modeling to explore various critical environmental issues in China. Abstract In the summer of 2003, a heat wave swept Europe and caused more than 70 000 additional fatalities [J.-M. Robine et al., C. R. Biologies331 (2008)]. Global warming and climate change is no longer a prophecy to be fulfilled, as strong heat waves and typhoons, as well as severe rainfalls, are becoming more severe. Extreme weather and climate events in the world, especially over Europe and North America, are widely studied and frequently reported in the media. These events may be related to the ongoing climate change. In this NSR forum, active researchers specialized in this field gather to discuss the climate and weather changes in China. Abstract Introduction: Patients with luminal A and B early-stage ER+/HER2- breast cancer (BrCa) are uniformly treated with adjuvant endocrine therapy (ET) (±chemotherapy). A better understanding of drivers of ET resistance is required as subsequent lethal metastatic disease remains a major clinical problem. Therefore, there is an unmet clinical need to identify biomarkers that select low- and high-risk patients who may benefit from de-escalation of current treatments or alternative therapeutic interventions. In the present study, we hypothesized that while luminal A and B tumors both arise from normal hormone-responsive cells, they are transcriptionally distinct, hence allowing the identification of unique gene signatures that can predict outcomes in each subtype. Methods: Tumors from 10 early-stage ER+/HER2- BrCa patients were subjected to single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis (10X Genomics); 6/10 tumors were classified as luminal A and 4/10 as luminal B based on combined PAM50 and immunohistochemical classification (Ki67 cut-off=20%). We performed a direct transcriptional comparison between luminal A and B tumors, using well-established signatures and unbiased differential gene expression analysis. To identify unique luminal A and B tumor-specific genes, we compared the gene expression profile of each luminal subtype with 10 non-neoplastic breast tissues. A predictive model (LASSO) was applied to select genes with the highest frequency using a training dataset. This resulted in 5- and 4-gene signatures for luminal A and B, respectively, which were used to calculate risk scores that divided each subtype into low- and high-risk groups. The prognostic value of the above signatures was validated in an independent dataset. Results: The integrated scRNA-seq analysis of luminal A and B tumors revealed transcriptionally distinct tumor cell clusters while tumor microenvironment (TME) clusters were well intermixed. Luminal B tumors had higher cell cycle and BrCa-specific scores, low ER pathway-gene expression scores, and increased 8q amplifications. IFNγ, OXPHOS, p53, hypoxia and MYC targets were the most upregulated pathways in the luminal B subtype. The TME of luminal B tumors was comprised of lower CD4+ and CD8+ T cell but higher Treg levels. Comparison with normal breast tissues revealed that early-stage ER+ BrCa arises from hormone-responsive epithelial cells and provided a number of tumor-specific genes that were used to generate prognostic signatures. These signatures were capable of differentiating high- from low-risk patients within each subtype and predicting survival outcomes in two large-scale training and validation cohorts. Conclusions: We developed a novel prognostic tool that can be used to determine duration of adjuvant ET and/or new therapeutic strategies for high-risk luminal A and B patients in the early-stage ER+/HER2- setting. Cette Chine éternelle (quatre fois millénaire) et ses habitants (92% de culture Han) nous apparaissent encore aujourd'hui à travers un voile de mystère et d'exotisme. Aussi, tel un fil d'Ariane, en analysant les emblèmes graphiques --- et --, nommés Yang et Yin, provenant du premier texte philosophique chinois, le Yi Jing , le Livre des Changements , notre mémoire se propose d'analyser et d'expliquer de quelle façon fonctionne le mode de pensée binaire traditionnel chinois. En nous inspirant des travaux du sinologue français Marcel Granet (1884-1940), nous montrons qu'à partir du jeu combinatoire des deux emblèmes graphiques originels --- et --, la pensée chinoise a fait alterner des emblèmes (qualitatifs et quantitatifs) produisant par le fait même une vision du monde organique, dynamique et harmonieuse. Or, cette terre chinoise qui n'était pas propice au réductionnisme quantitatif de la science moderne occidentale, semble maintenant assimiler l'inassimilable: le savoir scientifique. Contradiction éphémère assumée par l'Harmonieux équilibre de la pensée chinoise!

Dès 1951, le compositeur américain John Cage (1912-1992) s’engage dans la recherche de stratégies nouvelles de création. Son objectif principal consiste à éviter de laisser la subjectivité gouverner son univers artistique. L’œuvre doit être exempte de tout geste expressif, ainsi que d’éléments issus de la mémoire. Commence alors l’invention de multiples procédés impersonnels de composition permettant au hasard d’être à l’origine de la conception de l’œuvre et de jouer un rôle à différents stades de l’élaboration. Il s’ensuit une exploration artistique où le créateur se trouve confronté à l’imprévisible. À partir de 1969, la recherche de moyens non-intentionnels de création s’élargit du domaine musical au domaine plastique. Les trois parties de notre thèse portent sur le processus d’élaboration, la performance et l’exposition. Pour une part importante de la production musicale et visuelle de Cage, si le hasard intervient dans la phase d’élaboration, les œuvres engendrées restent néanmoins fixes dans leur état final. Cependant, notamment dans les années soixante, la plupart des œuvres musicales prennent une forme indéterminée, le hasard intervenant également au moment de la performance, d’où l’imprévisibilité du résultat. Enfin, cette dialectique entre un hasard fixe et une indétermination mobile est mise en œuvre à la fin de sa vie dans la conception d’installations et d’expositions. D’un point de vue théorique, il est important de comprendre si la position de Cage est alors celle d’un simple transcripteur des résultats fournis par le hasard ou si des choix tiennent néanmoins une place dans sa création. Notre recherche montre que la position de l’artiste est double. Si Cage est à l’écoute du hasard, ses préoccupations thématiques dans les domaines musical, plastique et muséologique n’en ont pas moins laissé une forte empreinte sur sa production sous forme de différents invariants
Starting in 1951 the American composer John Cage (1912-1992) relentlessly searched for new creative strategies. His main goal was to ensure that no form of subjectivity ruled his artistic universe. A work had to be free of any and all expressive gestures, as well as traces of memory. This stipulation led to his inventing multiple impersonal procedures of composition in that chance operations both initiated the conception of a work and played a role at different stages of its elaboration. The outcome of this artistic exploration meant that the creator had to come to terms with the unpredictable. From 1969 on, Cage carried over non-intentional modes of creation from his musical production to his visual works. The three main sections of our thesis focus on their process of elaboration, musical performance, and exhibitions. If chance operations came into play in the elaborative stage of a large number of these works, the latter nonetheless remained fixed in their final state. Yet, particularly in the 1960’s, most of the composer’s musical works had an indeterminate form, given that chance intervened during the performance, leading to unforeseen results. Finally, at the end of his life Cage put into play this dialectic relationship between fixed chance and mobile indetermination in his conception of installations and exhibitions. From a theoretical point of view, it is important to understand if his role is that of a simple transcriber of chance operation results or if choice still remains operative in his production. Our research shows that the position of the artist is dual: if Cage remains open to chance, his thematic interests in the fields of music, visual arts, and museology have just as strongly left their mark on his production in the form of different invariants

Malgré une histoire textuelle problématique, le " Livre de la Grande paix " (Taiping jing) transmis par le Canon taoïste des Ming reflète incontestablement des idées enracinées dans la vision du monde de l'époque des Han (206 av. J.-C.-220 ap. J.-C.). La cohérence de son contenu en apparence hétérogène réside dans l'idéologie tripartite qui sous-tend son substrat cosmologique et dépeint l'univers tout entier en une structure arborescente dérivant du modèle de base Ciel-Terre-Homme. Deux logiques triadiques s'opposent dans cette idéologie : un processus ternaire de déclin dans lequel l'Homme est déchu de la perfection originelle et un processus synthétique de retour à l'Unité dans lequel l'Homme incarne la réunion harmonieuse des pôles de la binarité. La trifonctionnalité vitaliste du dispositif varie en conséquence.
