Water yam (Dioscorea alata), also known as winged yam, is one of the most economically significant yam species, serving as a staple food crop in tropical and subtropical regions. Its widespread cultivation is due to its favorable agronomic characteristics, including high yield, improved tuber storability, and significant nutritional and health benefits. Despite these advantages, water yam often remains underutilized due to consumer biases towards its traditional food product quality, particularly for pounded yam preparations. Yam (Dioscorea spp.) is a staple food crop and a source of income for millions of people in West Africa. Traditionally, in West Africa, yams are grown without any external inputs, leading to low tuber yields. The rapid decrease of tuber yield observed after the first yam cropping season has been ascribed to nutrient depletion and/or to the accumulation of yam-specific pests and diseases. This has led farmers to grow yam on new surfaces under fallow each year. The white lupin is a source for qualitative plant protein to provide balanced nutrition for animals and poultry. Seed and green mass yield of modern lupin varieties can be 3–5 t/ha and 70–120 t/ha respectively. In spite of valuable qualities the production crop use is insufficient. One of the reasons is infection by diseases and pests. Anthracnose is the main dangerous and harmfulness disease. As a result lupin is in dire need for high effective protective chemicals. High effectiveness (97–96%) of seed dressers Vitaros – 2.0 l/t, Maxim XL – 2.0 l/t, Divident Star – 0.5 l/t, Selest Top – 0.7 l/

It is shown that the use of bacterial preparations based on growth-stimulating associative rhizobacterial strains increases the productivity of the dry mass of aboveground organs of white mustard plants. Biologics increase the yield of plant seeds. The most effective strains are mizorin and flavobacterin.

Abstract The job of yield and failure analysis (YA and FA) engineers is to identify the root cause of low-yielding wafers. While physical FA is the most definitive method for determining root cause, resource limitations require YA engineers to search for root cause by identifying other wafers with similar yield signatures. The immense number of yield parameters, or features, collected in modern semiconductor processes makes this a difficult task. This paper presents a workflow employing multiple AI techniques to separate groups of wafers by their distinct yield signatures and determine the par

Cabbage moth is one of the main white head cabbage pests in Belarus. The evaluation of the existing insecticides assortment has shown that their application at the initial pest number from 0.72 to 4.0 caterpillars per inspected plant has allowed reducing cabbage moth harmfulness and number by 84.0–100.0 % and increasing heads yield up to 35.5 %.

In Colombia, the specialized dairy systems are supported in forages use. However, edaphic and weather features are related with production and compositional quality of grasses. In this sense, it is important to recognize resilient fodder species to pastoral systems. The objective was to evaluate the establishment (covert proportion (%, Cp) and adaptation grade (0 to 3 scale, Ag) and production (dry matter yield (kg DM.ha-1, Dm) and net energy lactation (Mcal.kg DM-1 , Nl) of five perennial ryegrasses (three diploid and two tetraploid) and three clovers (two reds and one white) in two regions o

Strain differences in breast muscle accretion rate, metabolic responses under heat load and, gross and histopathological changes in breast muscle under thermal load was also to be characterized. A new participatory research model, Research-Practice-Industry Partnerships (RPIP), presents a unique value proposition. Design processes have typically placed professional designers, not the end users, at the center of the work. RPIPs create an intentional feedback loop that transforms the knowledge, action, or goals of all involved parties (Baker et al., 2022). RPIP aims to create better designs for scalable technologies that both meet the needs of educators and incorporate research from the learning sciences. This yields a product more likely to be used, used appropriately, and have the des

As Americans become increasingly health conscious, they have increased their consumptionof boneless white and skinless poultry meat. To the poultry industry, accurate detection of bonefragments and other hazards in de-boned poultry meat is important to ensure food quality andsafety for consumers. X-ray imaging is widely used for internal material inspection. However, traditional x-ray technology has limited success with high false-detection errors mainly becauseof its inability to consistently recognize bone fragments in meat of uneven thickness. A leading candidate for mediating the effects of thermal stress on muscle growth and development is a unique group of skeletal muscle cells known as adult myoblasts (satellite cells). In this study, we examine the revenue, costs, profits and technical efficiency of chilli farms in Cambodia. We employ a representative sample of 542 chilli farming households from Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Cham, Tboung Khmum and Kandal. The sample was randomly selected using a two-stage stratified sampling design, where villages were chosen in the first stage as the primary sampling unit and households engaged in chilli production were selected in the second stage as the secondary sampling units.
