The generic diagnosis of three allied genera, Leuconemacris Zheng, 1988, Asulconotoides Liu, 1984 and Asulconotus Ying, 1974, are compared and redescribed. Four new species, Leuconemacris acuminata, sp. nov., L. xinlongensis, sp. nov., L. muliensis, sp. nov. and Asulconotus acarinatus, sp. nov. are described and illustrated. Two new combinations are established: Asulconotoides asulcata (Zheng, 1988) comb. nov. = Leuconemacris asulcata Zheng, 1988 and Asulconotoides microptera (Zheng, 1988), comb. nov. = Leuconemacris microptera Zheng, 1988. All updated keys to genera and species are given.

In lung cancer treatment, understanding kinase activity, particularly tyrosine phosphorylation, is crucial but incomplete. We studied tyrosine phosphoproteomics in 74 patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) using SH2-Superbinder and data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry. We identified 1,048 tyrosine phosphosites, the highest number reported in lung cancer research. We constructed a tyrosine phosphorylation starmap, enabling a novel and intuitive analysis of tumors versus normal adjacent tissues, revealing kinases driving tumor progression and metastasis. The origin to these trends will be discussed in the context of local water-ion structures and solvation environments at the interface and the influence on electron transfer and proton-coupled electron transfer barriers. Zuojin Wan (ZJW) and Lizhong Wan (LZW) have been widely used in the treatment of Stomach heat and cold syndrome (SH and SC), respectively. In this study, a proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) based metabonomic approach was developed to profile SH and SC-related metabolic perturbations in rat serum and to investigate the intervention effects of ZJW and LZW on the corresponding SH and SC. Compared to the conventional macroscopic and histopathological examinations, the metabonomic approach could enable discrimination between SH and SC based on serum metabolic profiles. The history of the Qin dynasty is highly contingent and inevitable, with many historical events occurring with a strong sense of fatalism and sometimes quite inexorably. The rise of the Qin dynasty began with the reappointment of Shang Yang by King Xiao of Qin. It was a fortuitous decision, but the encouragement of agriculture and the emphasis on the army met the requirements of historical development. King Huiwen of Qin continued to follow Shang Yang’s changes and expanded Qin’s lands, and Qin continued to grow stronger. For various reasons, Ying Zheng, the later emperor Qin Shi Huang, also a

We evaluated the efficacy and safety of tucidinostat plus exemestane as the neoadjuvant strategy in hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer patients. Methods: NeoTEE is an open-label, single-center, phase II study. Patients with HR-positive, HER2-negative and stage II/III breast cancer were enrolled at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Traditionally, a median approach to normalization has been used, but this could obscure meaningful biological differences between tissues. Here, we present a quantitative proteomic study analyzing proteome composition across tumor and normal tissues in order to assess normalization methods. Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to study how to apply project-based learning method to teaching project management course. First, we introduce the course contents and give the check list for setting the course frame. Then, we report the procedures of applying project-based learning method and summarize the tools for teaching the course. In contrast with the traditional way of teaching, project-based learning method can promote student-centered and experiential approaches to education through the interactive, collaborative exploration of real-word challenges. Key

Abstract Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is considered to be a promising cytokine for enhancing anti-tumor immune response. However, systemic recombinant IL-12 had significant toxicity and limited efficacy in early clinical trials. Recently, many strategies to express IL-12 in the tumor tissue are being pursued preclinically and in clinical trials. Here, we report on ABO2011 (LNP-IL12 mRNA), developed by Abogen Bioscience, an innovative mRNA therapeutic cancer vaccine with novel lipid nanoparticles encoding IL-12.The LNP-IL12 mRNA significantly activates a robust T-cell-mediated adaptive immune respons

Abstract Pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PanIN) is a precursor of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), which commonly occurs in the general populations with aging. Although most PanIN lesions (PanINs) harbor oncogenic KRAS mutations that initiate pancreatic tumorigenesis, PanINs rarely progress to PDAC. Critical factors that promote this progression, especially targetable ones, remain poorly defined. We show that peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-delta (PPARD), a lipid nuclear receptor, is upregulated in PanINs in humans and mice. Furthermore, PPARD ligand activation by a hi
