Purpose The purpose of this paper is to fulfil national guidelines for greater participation of young people within Children’s Services and specifically explored young offenders’ (YOs) views and experiences of the Youth Justice Service (YJS). Design/methodology/approach Semi-structured interviews were used to gather qualitative evidence regarding the experiences of 11 YOs. The interviews were created with four subsections: demographic information, positive and negative aspects of the YJS, feelings regarding YJS involvement, and hindsight and future plans. Abstract:
Boys and young men continue to make up 81 percent of the Youth Justice System (YJS) in England and Wales, yet dominant discourses on young people who have been identified as having offended largely neglect to examine the potential role of masculinity in offending and interventions. This article aims to fill the gap of research in this area by exploring the role masculinity may play as understood by practitioners. It concludes that practitioners closely link “localized forms of hegemonic masculinity” to offending behavior of boys and young men.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is one of the most popular and commonly used plasticizer in the industry. Therefore, our current study aimed to find the biological response modulations induced by the binary mixtures of BP compounds. This essay argues that Derrida's exposition of the quasi-transcendental adverbiality of yes unfolds by marginalizing the quasi-transcendental conjunctionality of and. I begin by exploring the challenges of conceptualizing yes, a unique verbal element that resists determination as one word among others even as it appears to be a formative force that underwrites any and every word. The second part of the essay shows how Derrida downplays the role of and in the course of elaborating his theory of Joycean yes-laughter.
