Abstract:
Humans are basically spiritual beings. Because, a person can mentally react to something. Humans have always tried to relate to the divine. So the relationship with the god is in the form of worship. The concept of worship in both the Old and New Testaments is the same concept. The Hebrew word for century and the Greek for the beginning of latreia denote the occupation of slaves. And to perform "worship". Before Allah, then His servants must bow down in fear of adoration full of awe, awe and respect. This is the concept behind one's operation in every sacrificial activity in every ministry. Likewise with the implementation of public worship believing in the Lord Jesus. Human sacrifices given as thanksgiving offerings to God are part of worship. No after service offers. This is because the offer is not simply a symbol of giving with what one has, whether in money, or in kind, or in some other way. But the best thing about an offer is that to whom the offer is made the Lord Jesus must be based on faith or the right foundation of a gift from someone else or for some other purpose. Almost all forms of worship are carried out by Sunday schools for children, youth, youth, mothers, fathers, parents, Sunday services and other services bringing offerings of thanks for being part of the service. But the gift must be well understood and taken seriously.

The ability to speak in public is known as public speaking. Public speaking can take many forms, including speeches, lectures, and presentations, as well as becoming a master of ceremony (MC) or event guide. Becoming a master of ceremony (MC) or an event guide is not easy; it takes a lot of practice and experience to perform well. This is because the ability to host a show is a soft skill that can be developed through continuous training and development. Many difficulties are encountered during its implementation, ranging from nervousness, fear, tension, and so on. Based on the reported of the eservice leader that Worship leaders among the congregation and youth at Gereja Pantekosta di Indonesia (GPdI) Bethlehem, Sungai Rengas. have found often feeling nervous when speaking in front of the congregation, being confused in conveying sentences that easy to understand, and not maximize eye contact, which prevents them from communicating effectively with musicians. As a result, the committee invited the team Pengabdian kepada masyarakt (PkM) to provide workshops that could be used later when the worship leaders were in charge of guiding the church services.

Abstract:
Much of the existing public discourse surrounding Muslim youth in Western societies is framed through a simplistic and static understanding of the role of the Mosque in their everyday life. Mosques are often seen as places for the development of Muslim conservatism where membership is gender and ethno-specific and activities are socially restrictive (Spalek & Imtoual, 2007, p. 195; Spalek & Lambert, 2008; Poynting & Mason, 2008, p. 237). This contributes to an ongoing public preoccupation with the idea that it is necessary to integrate Muslim youth into “mainstream society” as a counter measure to anti-social behaviour and attributed outcomes (i.e. terrorism). This paper, building on the work of Dialmy (2007, p. 70) and Jamal (2005, p. 523), offers an account of how young Muslims network and socialise around the Mosque in Brisbane, Australia. We show that contrary to popular public conception, the role of the Mosque in the lives of Muslim youth is multifaceted and serves as the centrepiece from which the majority of socialisation, across variety formal and informal networks, occurs. This paper also explores the reasons underpinning Muslim youth’s social participation, emphasizing the socio-cultural factors (both within and beyond the place of worship) that facilitate and hinder participation across a range of social settings. We argue that discussions on Muslim youth and social engagement must be positioned within an informed understanding of the nuanced role of the Mosque in the generation of social networks within Western contexts.

Abstract:
Modern-day Zinder region was originally a Sudanic Kingdom of Hausa and Kanuri people whose culture was deeply rooted in Islamic teachings. Zinder society had in the past, a tolerant and accommodative culture that sustained peaceful co-existence among its members and neighbors. Today, the region witnesses an alien culture of intolerance, extremism and youth violence due to cultural disruption by foreign influences. The youth represents higher percentage of Zinder population, and the demographic contours favor that class of people, who are vulnerable and prone to external influences or abandoning of established and cherished traditions in the society. The cultural gap between the youth and the society begot a number of fadas (violent groups) among the youth who destroy lives, public buildings and places of worship. Thus, cultural renaissance and refinement is imperative in addressing the current youth violence and extremism in Zinder Region. It is in line with this reality, that the paper submits that the norms and values of Hausa and Kanuri people that sustained peace and tolerance in Zinder in the past need to be resuscitated, and inculcated in the minds of the youth to address the current prevalence of violence and extremism in the West African sub-region instead of use of military options.

This study aims to capture the image of Muslim youth in the national media Jawa Pos online using corpus-based linguistic analysis. The tendency and alignment of the media in portraying Muslim youth can lead to positive, negative, and neutral public opinion. This research is a text study using a quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach, by collecting news with the keywords Muslim/Islamic youth on Jawapos online and obtaining 39 news stories with 12,636 words. The news text is then analyzed and applied using Antcont to obtain linguistic features of word frequency, collocation, and concordance with descriptive linguistic analysis. The research results show that; the frequency of words that are significant means that the Jawa Pos online in reporting on Muslim youth tends to be general, with the involvement of government activities in places of worship, namely masjid. The emergence of collocations tends to be more about reporting on mosque youth, although there is a tendency for political elements and implies messages and actions that must be carried out by youth. Whereas with the emergence of concordance, this media provides definitions to opinions about the meaning of Muslim youth in general, both negative, neutral, and positive, and more often generates news with a positive and balanced tendency. From this result, the Indonesian national media should report in a balanced manner in constructing the image of Muslim youth in Indonesia, where the majority of the population is Muslim.

Keywords - Corpus Analysis, Imaging, Muslim Youth, National Online Media.

Abstract:
The bullying of sexual and gender minority youth (SGMY) is pervasive, with documented negative impacts on health. We explored the social ecology of bullying of SGMY, with a focus on religion as a source or context of bullying. Semistructured interviews with service providers, educators, and administrators in Toronto, Canada, who work with SGMY explored perspectives on the bullying of SGMY, focusing on religiously based bullying and strategies for intervention. Interviews (45-60 minutes) were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using thematic content analysis. The data revealed religiously based homophobic discourse that permeates religious (places of worship, faith-based schools) and secular microsystems (public schools, families) across SGMY’s social ecology. The language and ideology of “sin” and “conversion” were evidenced in direct religiously based bullying of SGMY in schools, and victimization in places of worship and family microsystems, as well as serving as a rationale for bullying and nonintervention by teachers, school staff, administrators, and family members. Multisectoral and multilevel influences of religiously based sexual prejudice on the bullying of SGMY suggest that existing individual-level and microsystem-level responses in schools should be augmented with institutional, policy, and legal interventions in SGMY’s more distal social ecology in order to effectively prevent religiously based homophobic bullying.

The method used in this community service activity is Participatory Action Research. Sarugo Village, Nagari Koto Tinggi, Gunuang Omeh District, Fifty Cities District, West Sumatra is the target of this year's STAI As-Sunnah KKNT activities. This place was chosen because, based on observations and interviews conducted with the people in the area, it was concluded that there were several mosques, but the number of Muslim people who had the awareness to prosper the mosques with worship activities was very minimal, this was due to the absence of preachers who provided enlightenment to the public about the importance of mosques for Muslims, and how to empower mosques as centers of Islamic community activities. KKNT activities are carried out for two weeks, from March 25 to April 9, 2023. The forms of activities carried out to achieve the above objectives are conducting Islamic study activities at mosques, reviving the role of mosque youth, visiting local communities at mosques by holding positive activities such as cooperation in mosques, breaking the fast together, and sticking up posters of Islamic knowledge, such as posters for ablution prayers, prayer posters for entering mosques, and so on. It was concluded that through these activities, Kampuang Sarugo's enthusiasm increased to come to worship at the Masjid and prosper the Masjid through other positive activities.

Abstract:
Hajj is one of the most popular or famous forms of worship for all Muslims in the world, namely as a form of implementation of the fifth pillar of Islam. In Indonesia, the interest of the Muslim community to be able to carry out the pilgrimage has always increased from year to year. This resulted in a fairly long waiting list, reaching 41 years, so that the Indonesian Hajj was at an elderly age when he disappeared. Reflecting on the waiting time (waiting list) that occurs in Indonesia, it is necessary to deal with it, both from the government and society. This paper discusses the government's efforts in dealing with waiting lists in Indonesia by socializing the importance of registering the Hajj pilgrimage at a young age. The socialization efforts of the government are expected to be able to make the public aware of the registration of Hajj pilgrimage registration at a young age which aims to reduce various risks during the validity period, such as health conditions, old age, high risk, and reduced catching power. This of course can disrupt the travel process and the implementation of the pilgrimage. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative through literature studies, by explaining important factors in the registration of youth worship and related government socialization urging the registration of youth worship as an effort to face waiting lists in Indonesia.

Abstract:
Abstract Modern US society’s attitude towards beauty has been shaped by the advertising and cosmetics industry to shun older women and worship youth. The discourse in popular and public culture is that ageing equals failure (Peterson 2017). However, the increasing prevalence of emancipatory discourses that are giving a voice to previously silenced minority groups has been making its way to the catwalk with the inclusion of alternative femininity models (Holland 2004), comprising a range of ages, body shapes and ethnic groups, as well as disabled models.A new cadre of older female models is drawing attention to the issue of ageing that might provide a diversified image of what beauty could look like later in life. Informed by frame theory (Goffman 1974) and positive ageing (Gergen 1994; Gergen and Gergen 2001), we conducted an exploratory study applying thematic analysis (Lapadat 2010) to media narratives of age and gender in relation to modes of appearance, particularly fashion. In our analysis, we highlighted the catwalk because it is a microcosm of cultural representations. We sought to establish whether the new trend regarding older women on the catwalk is finding expression in the US media, whether it radiates to other fields of public culture, and whether it represents a cultural shift, or a passing trend. We found some evidence for age-friendly catwalk reports, but even those reports reflected, at best, an ambivalent attitude. The results are discussed in the light of a dialectical discourse where inclusivity becomes both an enabling and oppressive attitude at the same time. While wider representation of older, ethnic and disabled women extends the boundaries of inclusivity, it also extends the scope of the normative expectations of beauty standards to older cohorts.

Abstract:
This paper examines the link between place and mental health using a qualitative assessment and focus group discussion with young women, ages 18 to 24 years of age, residing in three slums in Kampala, Uganda. The assessment, conducted in August of 2022, engaged 15 women who participated in Uganda Youth Development Drop-in center activities. The objective was to assess mental health and the link between place and mental health. Facilitated group discussions and photograph review yielded the following results. In terms of understanding their views of mental health and wellbeing, participants clearly focused on feelings. However, they also assessed resilience, the environment and a person’s choice as relating to their mental health. Participants also found the physical spaces related to sports, education, worship, workplaces and green space to be linked to happiness. In terms of the attributes that were linked to sadness, participants listed the physical locations where drugs are sold, clubs for dancing and partying and also sanitation issues in the community. Participants frequently reported on the social environment and reflected on harassment, discrimination, alcohol use and criminal behavior that did not reflect a specific physical space, but rather the embedded social interactions they may face or observe by living in close proximity to hotspots for criminal activity. Given the dire shortages of mental health services and care that are available in this setting, a better understanding of young women’s perceptions of place and mental health will be key for low-cost interventions and strategies to mitigate the contextual factors that may exacerbate mental illness.

Abstract:
The transformation of the symbolic space of the city of Halych from the second half of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century is investigated in the article. The work is based on the analysis of archival and historical documents, field materials collected by the author through the method of participant observation during the 2022–2023. The symbolic space term is used currently in various scientific studies: in cultural anthropology (O. Hrytsenko, H. Bondarenko), in semiotics (R. Barthes), in urban studies (E. Soja, R. Čepaitienė and others), in Ukrainian sociology (V. Sereda, O. Obukhova). The planning and architecture of the city, its landscape, toponymy, monuments as well as the elements of external design of the streets, squares and buildings are used together to create a symbolic space, where collective memory, identity and social dynamics of local communities are formed. In the 1930s, the places of worship have dominated in the urban space of Halych: the Greek-Catholic Church of Christmas (the 14th century), the Roman-Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Volodymyr’s Orthodox Church, the synagogue and the Karaite Kenesa, thus reflecting the ethnic and confessional structure of the population of the city. Part of the walls of Halych Castle is preserved on the Castle Hill, being the evidence of the historical significance of the city. The process of communization has started after the incorporation to the Soviet Union (September, 1939): streets and squares are renamed, Soviet monuments are erected. The places of worship are destroyed or reequipped. The Church of Christmas has become an Orthodox one forcibly and the only active. Participation in parades and meetings to commemorate the Soviet holidays has become a common practice for the population. A tradition to lay flowers at the monument to Lenin by the newly wedded couple has appeared. The central part of the city is a zone of official, formal events of ideological matter at that time as well as the Halych Castle remains a favourite place of family, youth leisure, the space for informal intercourse. Essential transformations of the urban public space of the city of Halych start after Ukraine has gained independence. In 1990 the monument to Lenin is dismantled and the central square of the city has got the Christmas Square name. In 1988 a monumental equestrian sculpture to King Danylo Halytskyi has appeared there. The process of streets’ renaming continues. New churches and chapels (over 20) are built, a number of commemorative plaques and monuments to the participants of the Ukrainian national resistance, public and cultural figures of the city and the region (about 10) have been placed on municipal houses. Nine memorial annotation plaques are dedicated to soldiers died in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Christmas Square today is the main symbolic space of the city, a place where various activities and communications take place (both public and private). Halych Castle continues to occupy an important place in the cultural life of the city. Many significant scientific and cultural events representing Ukrainian historical and musical heritage occur here, influencing the formation of the identity of the local population.

Abstract:
The relevance of the research topic is due to the need to reflect the process of functioning and reproduction of traditional legal culture in the USSR in the humanities, as well as the importance of an adequate academic understanding of the spiritual world of the "Soviet person". The purpose of the paper is understanding the phenomenon of mass involvement of Soviet pupils (schoolchildren, students of colleges and universities) in Orthodox practices in the 1940s-1960s. Objectives: analysis of the the extent of the spread of Orthodox practices among Soviet youth in the post-war decades; studying the forms of participation of schoolchildren and students in the church life of the period under review; identification of the degree of stability of these forms in conditions of state opposition to the development of confessional culture. Methods. The main methods that were used in the course of the research were historical-analytical, historical-genetic and historical-statistical methods, as well as elements of micro-historical analysis. Results. The paper shows that the degree of familiarization of Soviet pupils with Orthodox practices in the 1940s-1960s was significantly higher than Soviet propaganda tried to imagine. Church services were attended not only by representatives of the older generation, in the post-war decades they were actively attended by school-age children and students. In places where was a clear shortage of Orthodox priests and churches, young people were involved in spontaneous practices of a folk worship. Conclusions. The paper concludes that the main moments of the transfer of confessional traditions to children and young people in the USSR were religious holidays, primarily Christmas, Epiphany, Easter. The Day of Knowledge also had a religious dimension for some schoolchildren. State policy had a significant impact on the forms of introducing children and young people to church life. The anti-religious actions of the authorities reduced the level of pupils' presence in the public church space, but did not destroy the interest of young people in Orthodox culture. An important role in maintaining this interest was played by the semi-patriarchal way of life that persisted in many Soviet families in the post-war decades.

Online worship at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic was considered ineffective by several individuals, including pastors and congregations, in supporting the spiritual growth of God's community because the distance was considered contrary to the nature of God's assembly as a church, which was called to fellowship in the temple of God in unity. As a result, online worship allows almost all congregations to be involved in every worship activity organized by the church, namely: Raya Worship, Cell Community Worship, Youth and Youth Worship, evening prayer service, worship, Women's worship, Men's worship, fasting worship, and Discipleship worship so that their spiritual growth is increasingly visible through a lifestyle of loving one another

The formation of an atmosphere that is built in such a way that the congregation can feel comfortable in the worship space. The implementation of worship has several stages that are always used in every worship. These steps are carried out to foster a sense of comfort and safety for the congregation. The hallmark of JPCC in serving young congregations is the formation of Small Groups, which is another name for KomSel. In addition to Small Groups, short sermons (khutbah) and topics relevant to the lives of young people are also used in worship at JPCC Youth. This short sermon is intended so that the congregation can discuss in their respective small groups. This small group is held as a support for the sermon given and also serves as a means of discussion among Small Group members. These youths are also served by one to two Small Group Leaders or commonly called mentors. Mentors also encourage youth to be moved to serve others. Abstract:
In most congregations, children participate in worship in various ways. In this article we pose the question: how can we describe and understand the variety in practices of worship with children? The case we consider is the Protestant context in the Netherlands. Archival research shows that since the introduction of differentiated worship for children, tension has arisen between worship with the entire congregation and worship aimed specifically at children. This tension between intergenerational worship and target-group worship persists; while most liturgists and youth work professionals argue for intergenerational worship, some defend the merits of target-group worship. However, in this ethnographic research we indicate that the portrayal of intergenerational worship as the ideal, and target-group worship as its opposite, or vice versa, leaves much of the normativity in worship with children hidden. We, therefore, deconstruct ideals of worship with children to open up other ways of understanding the variety of worship with children. In doing so, we argue that pedagogical and theological normativity influence worship practices in complex ways. Future research may advance this investigation by focusing on adults’ and children’s roles in shaping worship practices and exploring the theological implications of these practices in more depth and detail.

Abstract:
In this study, 2,894 participants rated attitudes toward their favorite public figure on the Celebrity Attitude Scale. It was noted whether each figure was alive or dead, and a panel of four independent judges assessed each in terms of their moral conduct and physical attractiveness. Dead figures appealed less and were subject to lower “intense personal” celebrity worship, and death was unrelated to “borderline pathological” and “deleterious imitation” celebrity worship. Physical attractiveness was positively related to overall celebrity worship and “intense personal” celebrity worship, but negatively related to “borderline pathological” and “deleterious imitation” celebrity worship. Moral conduct was associated negatively with “deleterious imitation” celebrity worship. Results are discussed briefly in terms of their implications for research on physical attractiveness and “copycat suicide.”

Abstract:
Along with the development of science and technology, the new media technology has been maturing, and the carrier of information dissemination has also diversified. The dissemination of new media has entered an era of rapid development, and the culture of celebrity worship has emerged, accompanied by changes in the circle and values of young people, and stars are favored by many young people because of their uniqueness, and the celebrity worship behavior of young people under the new media perspective has different characteristics. At present, teenagers in the age of celebrity worship appeared to be underage, the behavior appeared to be out of control and has a certain degree of blindly following the crowd. In this paper, we analyze the causes of teenagers' celebrity worship behavior and the influence of new media communication on teenagers' celebrity worship behavior from the perspective of new media, and put forward effective guiding strategies for teenagers themselves, their parents, the relevant management departments and the society in order to disseminate correct values.

Abstract:
This article, departing from the ambition of IASYM to be “completely ecumenical,” discusses the importance of “confessionality” in youth ministry and youth ministry research. As a pre-text to analyzing how confessional tradition and context plays out in some key youth ministry publications, the author points out how youth ministry historically emerged within a mission paradigm where the urge to guard and reproduce confessional identity was crucial. Following this analysis, the article sets out to develop an ecumenical understanding of “confessionality,” rooted in the ancient question “what do Christians do?” The author, emphasizing that the crux of Christian identity is worship, concludes that “confessionality” in the context of youth ministry from this perspective is confessional, catholic, and missional. Therefore, even in the IASYM, being “completely ecumenical” also involves being “confessional” in a certain sense.

Abstract:
Evangelicals altered their patterns of public worship drastically between 1965 and 2005. In the late 1960s worship was set apart as spiritual, there was a focus on the word and services were marked by regularity. The liturgical movement encouraged greater formality, more clericalism, less restricted access to communion services, ecumenical borrowings and an erosion of anti-Catholic inhibitions. More influential, however, was an expressive revolution fostering greater informality. Women became more prominent, the taste of young people came to the fore, technical equipment was introduced, charismatic renewal made an impact, the physical came into vogue, the visual was upgraded relative to the verbal and there was a rise of the ideal of authenticity. Despite stern resistance to change in some quarters, there was in most congregations a transition from one style of worship to another.

Abstract:
Demands for the reform of public worship followed rapidly upon the outbreak of religious disputes in Germany in 1517. This was scarcely surprising, since some of the most important aspects of late medieval worship and devotion, including the mass, had become the focus of criticism. The reform of worship presented many difficulties to both spiritual leaders and secular authorities. In many cases they found it easier to identify the failings of Catholic worship than to devise new services which would be acceptable to all. It was also apparent that worship had not only to reflect the ideals and aspirations of the Church but also those of the wider community, and therefore worship impinged upon social and political life. This paper will look at how one community, the city of Augsburg, dealt with these issues. In particular it will consider the forces which shaped evangelical liturgy, and the reception given to the new forms of worship.
