Abstract:
The origin, quantities distribution and different market positioning of steamed dishes stores in Wuhan were analyzed based on the big data of Meituan application. By April 2020, there were a total of 230 steamed dishes restaurants in Wuhan, mainly distributed in Hongshan district (63), Jianghan district (47) and Wuchang district (35). Now the largest steamed dishes restaurant chains was "Zhen Kungfu" originated from Cantonese cuisine while "Liuyang steamed dishes” and "Zhen Liuji" restaurants were in the second place which came from "Home of steamed dishes in China". All of them were rapidly expanding in the form of Chinese fast-food chains in recent years and located either near the business district or the airport/station. On the contrary, "Mianyang three streamed dishes" restaurants with regional characteristics was few and scattered. It had not yet formed a scale with its unclear product positioning. A survey of consumers' preference showed that about 22% of consumers chose steamed dishes when eating out. With the increase of age, more and more people would opt for steamed dishes. Half of consumers over 40 chose steamed dishes. On the other hand, there were double peaked at 20 Yuan and 45 Yuan per person in consumers’ psychological prices. These results would provide reference for the development of "Mianyang three streamed dishes" and Wuhan catering economy.

Abstract:
AbstractThis article examines late Tang poetic representations of the early fifth-century tale of Liu Chen and Ruan Zhao's romance with divine maidens at a Shangri-La-like peach blossom font. Shi poems by such poets as Liu Yuxi (772-822) and Yuan Zhen (779-831), and a group of Huajian ("among the flowers") ci poems under the tune "Nüguanzi" ("The Daoist Priestess") by Wen Tingyun (ca. 812-866) and others, reveal the exploration of the old tale as a rich source of allegorical tropes. In particular, the late Tang poets consistently revitalize the Liu-Ruan tale's bifurcation between the immortal and the mortal worlds, a division between "two worlds" that enabled them to express a range of different meanings at different levels, for example in politics or when talking of love affairs.

Ji Chun Tai is the masterpiece of Sichuan dialect on late Qing Dynasty, composed of 40 vernacular short stories. It is divided into four parts, namely, Yuan Ji, Heng Ji, Li Ji, and Zhen Ji. Each part contains ten short stories. The author of Ji Chun Tai is a literator from Zhong Jiang who failed in imperial examination System in late Qing Dynasty. There are a large number of Sichuan Opera elements in those forty vernacular short stories. Generally speaking, the plot of Ji Chun Tai is full of ups and downs, together with relatively concentrated conflicts, which reflects the characteristics of Sichuan opera. Besides, the thought of persuasion and punishment, strong superstitious color, and detective story in Ji Chui Tai are combined together to reflect the characteristics of Sichuan Opera.

Abstract:
Research to date on the Yuan Dynasty painter Wu Zhen (1280–1354) has concentrated on his paintings, but his poetic inscriptions on paintings have been relatively neglected, even though they are of a high standard. This article seeks to redress the balance by focusing on Wu Zhen's poetic inscriptions on paintings by his own hand and those of past masters, and argues that inscriptions and colophons are an essential key to understanding Chinese literati art. It examines the literary functions of Wu Zhen's poetic inscriptions, and includes an exploration of the depiction of objects, the narrative, discursive and symbolic aspects, the lyrical qualities, and the expansion of time, space and vision of the paintings, as well as the relationship between the two media, in order to appreciate their wholeness.

"A study on the locations of capitals and the planning of administrative districts in the Tang, Song and Yuan dynasties = Tang, Song, Yuan san zhao guo du xuan zhi yu zheng qu gui hua yan jiu." Thesis, The University of Hong Kong (Pokfulam, Hong Kong), 2013. http://hdl.handle.net/10722/196084.

Full text
Abstract:
In the discipline of Historical Geography, capital location and planning of administrative districts are crucial issues. Since they have often been considered as two separate topics, attention, if any, has scarcely been paid to the relationship between them. The capital of China was transferred eastwards from Chang’an in the Tang dynasty to Kaifeng in the Song dynasty and then to Dadou in the Yuan dynasty, a critical transitional period in Chinese history which spanned three dynasties and seven hundred plus years. The way how administrative districts were planned changed with these transfers. This research investigates the relationship between the location of capitals and the planning of administrative districts with reference to these three dynasties. This thesis is comprised of eight chapters. The first one is an introduction, which briefly discusses how Confucianism sees the relationship between the location of capitals and the planning of administrative districts. This chapter also includes a literature review, research methodologies and the significance of this research. What follows is an elucidation of the Centre Theory (Juzhonglun居中論), which is concerned with the location of the capital. The chapter will probe into how the theory came into being, its significance, where the centre of ‘the world’ (tianxia天下) was, and look into how this theory was influential as a factor in determining the location of the capital before the Tang dynasty. The third chapter explains the locations of the capitals in the three dynasties with reference to the Centre Theory. It was found that the location of the capitals in the three dynasties accorded with the principles of the Centre Theory, despite the fact that the territory, the river system that transported grain to the capital, and the idea of ‘the world’ in the eyes of the ruler were all different in the three dynasties. The fourth chapter explores the relationship between the capital and the jingji (the capital city and its environs京畿), including the area of the jingjiin the Tang, Song, and Yuan dynasties, the evolution of the jingji system, and the significance of setting up the jingji. Chapter five is a study on the relationship between the location of the capital city and the sub-capital. The sub-capital, which was complementary in nature, was usually not far away from the capital city and would move with the transfer of the capital. Whilst the sixth chapter examines the relationship between the location of the capital and the establishment of higher administrative districts, chapter seven analyses the relationship between the location of the capital and the distribution of prefectures and counties. With the relocation of the capital from Chang’an to Dadou, these seven hundred plus years witnessed a gradual clustering of prefectures and counties in the east. The last chapter is a generalisation of how the planning of administrative districts transformed with the transfer of capital cities from the Tang to Yuan dynasties.

Abstract:
Are the practices of Western art history appropriate for the study of art from cultures outside its geographical boundaries and conventional timeframe? The bias in this interpretation of the subject opens up the questions of the importance of the canon in art history and how we view non-figurative, primitive, and naive art. ‘A global art history?’ considers a range of different examples of artistic practice from around the world, including the sculpture of the Dogon people of Mali and the calligraphy of Wu Zhen, who was active during the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368). It also discusses what is meant by the ‘primitive’ arts of Oceania, Africa, and North and South America.
