Abstract:
Abstract Key message Partially dominant resistance to Turnip yellows virus associated with one major QTL was identified in the natural allotetraploid oilseed rape cultivar Yudal. Abstract Turnip yellows virus (TuYV) is transmitted by the peach-potato aphid (Myzus persicae) and causes severe yield losses in commercial oilseed rape crops (Brassica napus). There is currently only one genetic resource for resistance to TuYV available in brassica, which was identified in the re-synthesised B. napus line ‘R54’. In our study, 27 mostly homozygous B. napus accessions, either doubled-haploid (DH) or inbred lines, representing a diverse subset of the B. napus genepool, were screened for TuYV resistance/susceptibility. Partial resistance to TuYV was identified in the Korean spring oilseed rape, B. napus variety Yudal, whilst the dwarf French winter oilseed rape line Darmor-bzh was susceptible. QTL mapping using the established Darmor-bzh × Yudal DH mapping population (DYDH) revealed one major QTL explaining 36% and 18% of the phenotypic variation in two independent experiments. A DYDH line was crossed to Yudal, and reciprocal backcross (BC1) populations from the F1 with either the susceptible or resistant parent revealed the dominant inheritance of the TuYV resistance. The QTL on ChrA04 was verified in the segregating BC1 population. A second minor QTL on ChrC05 was identified in one of the two DYDH experiments, and it was not observed in the BC1 population. The TuYV resistance QTL in ‘R54’ is within the QTL interval on Chr A04 of Yudal; however, the markers co-segregating with the ‘R54’ resistance are not conserved in Yudal, suggesting an independent origin of the TuYV resistances. This is the first report of the QTL mapping of TuYV resistance in natural B. napus.

School building plan has the varied features due to the time progresses, geographical and cultural styles. The concept of new school planning can contribute much developing trend of integration, education, life, humanity, openness, flexibility, and modernization. YuDe Elementary School in Shulin District was established in 1960. It is nearby Shanjia Railway Station and located in the southern tip of Shulin Disctrict, New Taipei City. The school is around Kuron Ridge, Dahan River, Hotsun Chun, Hangaiken Mine Remains, and Shulin Incineration plant. The old building in the school was reconstructed to become the place, which was mainly for students while community resident subsidiary, not only the campus for YuDe Elementary school faculties and students, but also a campus for Shanjia community. Meanwhile, the school planning was expected to integrate natural environment, local culture, and the history of the school. The questionnaire was based on the “sense of place” of YuDe Elementary school students. Through interview in person and painting to explore the visual expression of school’s building, the data were researched by students’ environment consciousness, relevance and impact. Expecting with the extension from the school building to education and cultural inheritance, students could understand their origins and history of the local culture, and generate their sense of identity. The result of the study shows as below: 1.YuDe Elementary School combined local culture and school buildings in order to transform and contribute art to the features of practical, aesthetic perception, and the rich culture. 2.The signs and symbols were decorated on hallways and auditorium. The sign was the cultural rallying point, influencing students’ external behaviors and inner identity. 3.The research was investigated in finding the advantage and the disadvantage of school buildings, integrating humanistic features based on the observation, comparison, and analysis.

Due to the rapid advancement of health care and science and technology, the average life of our country is prolonged. The age-friendly city is an inclusive and accessible urban environment, and it provides the active and livable environment for the elderly residents. The World Health Organization (WHO) proposed eight environmental aspects in 2007. Among them, the issues related to the external living environment are the Outdoor Spaces and Buildings and the Transportation Orientation. Research on the evaluation factors in the friendly environment of middle-aged people in a friendly old city. This study reviews the implementation of aging in place and collects statistical analysis of foreign relevant living environment questionnaires, and considers 2003 assessments of residents' perceptions of neighborhood design features related to physical activity, including residential density, land use portfolios, and streets. Connectivity, walking/riding infrastructure, neighborhood aesthetics, transportation and crime security, and neighborhood satisfaction, the Perceive Neighborhood Neighbor Walking Scale selected by the International Physical Activity and the Environment Network (IPEN) initiative, set a total of 42 questions in the seven friendly and fittable environment of the study. The subjects were surveyed by sub-health or self-motivated 65-year-old elders, and compared with non-aged people over 50 years old, under GIS environmental conditions (such as green space open space, medical care system, etc.) Selecting the Yudeyuan Road in Taichung City as the research core, demarcating the distance from the green space to 1km as the measured range, According to this distance, the relationship between environmental service facilities in a pedestrian-friendly environment and the social and health status of middle-aged and elderly people is studied, adopting the sampling method, analyzing the sample number of 393 valid questionnaires, using Fisher's accuracy test, univariate variation Number Analysis, Regression Analysis。 The results of the study show that the longer the living time, the retirement status for the social environment The higher the degree of intent, the longer the relative living time and the higher the education level, the more attention is paid to the social environment. The respondents at the age of 50-64 years old pay more attention to the street connectivity facet, the walking/riding facility facet, and the medical social welfare environment. The 65-year-old and above persons then prefer the social environment.

Abstract:
This chapter looks at the medical works and practice of Rabbi Judah Yudel Rosenberg. In the 1880s, he was for a short time rabbi of the town of Tarlów and he adopted the word as a surname, becoming known as Reb Yudel Tarler. Later, during a stay in Łódź from 1909 to 1913, he called himself the Tarler rebbe. The best explanation for his move from Warsaw to Łódź seems to be that he saw possibilities of self-advancement there that would have been next to impossible in Warsaw. Łódź, which possessed a rapidly growing Jewish population, attracted Jews from all over the Russian Empire. It was a city with no home-grown intelligentsia and hence tended to look to the outside for its intellectual and religious leadership. Rosenberg, his reputation enhanced by his publications, thought that he would be able to set himself up in the town as a hasidic rebbe.
