Zimbabwe has faced persistent droughts from around year 1990 to date posing a structural food security challenge to the populace. Recently, the government of Zimbabwe introduced a blue print to spearhead and map sustainable balance in tapping value from the available natural and man-made resources in the country. This is known as the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-economic Transformation Programme (Zim Asset). The trajectory of liberation movements in Southern Africa provides insights into post-colonial governance and democratic transitions in the Global South. While much research has focused on the initial successes of these movements, less attention has been paid to their long-term effectiveness and the complex interplay between local and international forces shaping their governance. This study aims to fill this gap by examining why liberation movements often lose power after three decades, focusing on the interplay between the local agency and global systemic constraints. Over the years, Zambia’s population has continued to rapidly grow, rising from 13.0 million in 2010 to 19.6 million in 2022. This rapid population growth has led to the development of new settlements and the construction of new infrastructure, including roads. However, the country has experienced significant project failures, particularly in road construction. These failures are attributed to poor material management techniques, which can result in poor quality materials, damage to materials, poor planning, late deliveries, and high costs. Therefore, proper material management is essential to

Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) is crucial for the physical, emotional, and social well-being of adolescents. The paper aims to identify the barriers to ASRH in Ghana and suggest potential measures to address these challenges. The paper argues that socio-cultural and gender norms that stifle the rights and voices of adolescents, particularly adolescent girls regarding their sexuality, are a significant factor exacerbating other barriers to ASRH in Ghana. These norms perceive adolescents as inexperienced and lacking agency in their sexuality, consequently disregarding their voices.
