Die Stadtbibliothek Lößnitz blickt auf abwechslungsreiche zehn Jahre Vergangenheit zurück, in denen sich Vieles verändert hat. Die Nutzerzahlen und Entleihungen sind stetig gestiegen und auch unser Bestand und die angebotenen Medienarten wurden kontinuierlich erweitert. Durch Kooperationen mit den Bildungseinrichtungen der Kommune und Zusammenarbeit für eine frühe Leseförderung sind wir zu einem Bildungspartner geworden. Wir bieten mobile Bibliotheksdienste an, um auch diejenigen Nutzer zu erreichen, die nicht mehr persönlich zu uns kommen können. Im Folgenden möchten wir die Stadtbibliothek Lößnitz näher vorstellen.

Abstract:

A statement of Harvard economists about the impact of demographic variables on the East Asian economic growth, often called "economic miracle", raised many discussions about the sources of economic growth. In this work, I focus on the historical development of the mainstream opinions on the field of demographic-economic relations and the role of the demographic characteristics in the economic growth models. This paper uses graphics tools to analyse the changes in mortality, fertility, dependecy ratios and age structures in four Asian countries (Hongkong, Singapore, South Korea and Japan). These demographics values prepared the basis for their rapid economic development. I compare empirical results of Kelley and Schmidt model, Bloom model and Mishra model to make a conclusion of what is the impact of demographic variables on the economic growth and how they contribute to the total economic growth. Finally, I draw the attention to the macroeconomic interventions with detailed focus on domestic savings, labour market flexibility and human capital investments.

Juni 1998 die neue Bibliothek am Kornmarkt mitten im Stadtzentrum von Zwickau an Studenten, Mitarbeiter und regionale Nutzer übergeben wurde, waren alle Anstrengungen der letzten Jahre vergessen. Immerhin war bereits 1993 der Bauantrag gestellt und 1994 ein Architektenwettbewerb durchgeführt worden. Das Ergebnis einer langen Bauzeit, der Ausstattungsplanung sowie Organisation und Mühen des Umzugs konnte sich sehen lassen.

Fusarium graminearum Schwabe sensu lato (teleomorph: Gibberella zeae (Schwein.) Petch), a homothallic ascomycete fungus, is the causal agent of Fusarium head blight (FHB) of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), and other small grains. FHB occurs worldwide and serious outbreaks have been reported in North America, South America, Asia, and Europe. According to the phylogenetic species concept (PSC), F. graminearum is composed of at least 15 phylogenetic lineages known as the Fusarium graminearum species complex. Although F. graminearum is homothallic, some members of different phylogenetic lineages are known to intercross in the laboratory. It has been suggested that F. graminearum sensu lato fits the biological species concept (BSC). According to the BSC, “species are groups of actually or potentially interbreeding natural populations, which are reproductively isolated from other such groups”. Previous reports of intercrossing were qualitative, so the degree of reproductive isolation, if any, is not clear. Since intrinsic reproductive isolation is the key criterion to identify species by the BSC, more detailed quantitative information is needed. Chromosome rearrangements between fungal strains may reduce fertility in sexual crosses through the production of genetically inviable recombinant progeny. As such, rearrangements can be important postzygotic reproductive barriers between species. Following methods used in Neurospora crassa, ascospore tetrads were analyzed for patterns of ascospore viability. Crosses were made with three lineage 7 (F. graminearum sensu stricto according to PSC) strains as female. Each female was a MAT1-2 knockout mutant that rendered it obligately heterothallic. Males were several members of lineages 6 (F. asiaticum according to PSC) and lineage 7. Crosses with lineage 7 males formed complete asci with 8 ascospores indicating that their genomes are isosequential with the testers. Crosses with one strain from lineage 6 with two known inversions produced asci containing 8, 6, and 4 ascospores, consistent with it not being isosequential. However, three other strains of lineage 6 appeared to be isosequential with the testers. Therefore, chromosome rearrangements did not appear to be common to strains of lineage 6 and probably do not contribute significantly to reproductive isolation of lineage 6 and lineage 7. Interlineage fertility studies with the three lineage 7 tester strains were performed to quantify interlineage fertility parameters including the total number of ascospores produced, perithecial density, and perithecium internal development scores. All lineage 7 female testers successfully crossed to all 23 male strains from lineages 1 to 9. For total ascospore production, one female tester crossed equally well with all lineages and the other two testers showed statistically significant differences for a few lineages. For perithecial density, there was a significantly lower density with all three testers when crossed with lineage 6, but the other lineages were not statistically different from lineage 7. For perithecial development, there was large variation for every lineage. Therefore, in the crosses with reduced fertility, the reduction can be attributed to a postzygotic effect since mature perithecia and asci developed. All of the tested lineages of the Fusarium graminearum species complex can produce viable progeny with F. graminearum lineage 7, which was the taxonomic type of the original species before it was split into phylogenetic species. There are a few examples of reduced fertility with two lineage 7 testers, the remaining tester crossed equally well with all lineages. Therefore members of lineages 1-9 all should be considered members of Fusarium graminearum according to the BSC. The existing female testers could be used to identify members of the F. graminearum clade by performing test crosses in the laboratory. The PSC and BSC species concepts do not agree for this group of fungi. This disagreement indicates that the F. graminearum species complex is in the early stages of speciation. The lack of intrinsic reproductive barriers supports the hypothesis that these lineages have developed in geographic isolation. As the lineages have apparently been brought together through global trade, interlineage hybrids have been reported in the field. The discrepancy between PSC and BSC will eventually be resolved by whether the lineages fuse or remain separate in nature. Even if the lineages remain separate, this study demonstrates the potential for gene flow between lineage 7 and lineages 1 through 9.

Representando cerca de 35,6% da safra de grãos do país, a cultura do milho tem sua produtividade ameaçada por um grande número de enfermidades. Diante do exposto o presente trabalho teve por objetivo analisar o progresso da Physopella zeae, Cercospora zeae-maydis e Phaeosphaeria maydis, sob diferentes tratamentos fungicidas na cultura do milho. Conduzido no delineamento de blocos casualizados com 6 tratamentos e 4 repetições em área do Departamento de Fitossanidade da FCAV-UNESP, utilizou-se os seguintes tratamentos de 1-6 (mL de p.c./ha), respectivamente: 1-testemunha; 2-epoxiconazole + pyraclostrobin 500; 3- epoxiconazole + pyraclostrobin 750; 4-azoxystrobin + cyproconazole 300 + óleo mineral parafínico 0,5%; 5-azoxystrobin + cyproconazole 300 + óleo mineral parafínico 0,5% e 6- azoxystrobin + cyproconazole 450 + óleo mineral parafínico 0,5%, todos aplicados com a planta no estádio V8, sendo que o Tratamento 5 foi repetido com a planta no início do pendoamento. Realizou-se 7 avaliações de severidade da doença com intervalos semanais. As curvas de progresso da doença foram analisadas através de 3 transformações (monomolecular, logístico e de Gompertz). Calculou-se a Área Abaixo da Curva de Progresso da Doença (AACPD) para cada doença, estas foram submetidas à análise de variância e as médias comparadas pelo teste de Tukey ao nível de 5% de probabilidade. The corn represents about 35,6% grain crop in Brazil and its productivity is threatened by a great number of pests and diseases. The objective of this study was to analyze the progress of the Physopella zeae, Cercospora zeae-maydis and Phaeosphaeria maydis, under different fungicides treatments in the corn crop. This work was carried out in experimental area of the Departamento de Fitossanidade of UNESP, Campus of Jaboticabal, São Paulo State, Brasil, in the period of January to May of 2006. Was evaluated in field plots arranged in complete randomized blocks, with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The used treatments were (mL of p.c. /ha): 1-check; 2-epoxiconazole + pyraclostrobin 500; 3-epoxiconazole + pyraclostrobin 750; 4-azoxystrobin + cyproconazole 300 + mineral oil 0,5%; 5-azoxystrobin + cyproconazole 300 + mineral oil 0,5% and 6 - azoxystrobin + cyproconazole 450 + mineral oil 0,5%. All the treatments fungicide spray was applied to maize at the stage V8, and the treatment 5 was replicated in the beginning of the tasseling. It was carried out 10 evaluations of the disease severity with a week interval among them. It was analyzed the curves of progress of the diseases through 3 transformations (monomolecular, logistic and Gompertz). There was calculated Area Under Progress Curve Disease (AUDPC), whose the variance analysis and the averages were compared by the Tukey test at 5% probability. It was observed that the monomolecular model had the best adjustment to the data for the P. zeae and C. zeae-maydis. Abstract:

Research confirms that strategic planning is essential for the improvement of business performance in both small and large organisations. Organisations around the globe all follow similar tactics, namely to attempt to execute a strategy to differentiate themselves from their competitors. A popular instrument used to support the strategic–management process in organisations is the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). The BSC is a popular performance–management framework strongly associated with managing the implementation of strategic plans. There is a difference between known performance–management programmes and the BSC. The BSC is a full, multi–perspective approach to achieving long–term, sustained growth, viewed more as a strategy–formation system than a pure measurement system. Constructing the first BSC of a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) is accomplished by a systematic process that builds consensus and clarity about how to translate the mission and strategy of the SBU into performance objectives, measures, targets and initiatives in four balanced perspectives: Financial, Customer, Internal Processes, and Employee Learning and Growth. The aim of the scorecard building and implementation process is to cascade strategy down to the operational level where real value is added. This process is also called "strategic alignment". The arguments presented in this dissertation are based on a combination of general literature research on performance management, the BSC and the development, strategic implementation and management of the BSC. The selection process of an SBU, and the rationale for the choosing to construct a BSC as a performance–measurement tool has been addressed. The dissertation further addressed the objectives and principles governing the BSC for the specific, chosen SBU. The development of the BSC comprises of ten steps, from the assignment of the scorecard champion or architect to the senior executive management meeting. Information gained from research done on the South African company under review, GP Retail Operations (Pty) Ltd, and more specifically the SBU of the Ackermans Distribution Centre in Durban together with the literature research have been used to develop the BSC within the specific SBU of the organisation. The BSC was tailor made for the specific requirements of the specific SBU in GP Retail Operations (Pty) Ltd. The results of the study on the SBU, Ackermans DC, have been summarised in the performancerecord sheet and an audit sheet derived from the literature overview and applied practical in–house research. The record sheet was created for each perspective of the BSC. The development of the BSC involved several challenges in embedding the information systems and the culture that helped receive, process, and analyse information for the creation of the performancerecord sheet and audit sheet. A BSC requires time and effort to "get it right" and commitment to implement it.
