In this paper we study the asymptotic behaviour of the following systems of ordinary differential equations:where the identically zero function is a solution of (N) i.e. f(t, 0)=0 for all time t. Suppose one knows that all the solutions of (N) which start near zero remain near zero for all future time or even that they approach zero as time increases. For the perturbed systems (P) and (P1) the above property concerning the solutions near zero may or may not remain true. A more precise formulation of this problem is as follows: if zero is stable or asymptotically stable for (N), and if the func

There exist many types of structures, which are required to have stable dimensions within a wide range of temperatures. The specific nature of composites allows finding special conditions when a laminate stacking sequence can provide zero thermal expansion coefficients in one or more directions. This work is aimed to find mathematical conditions, which guarantee in-plane zero CTE at least in one direction. As an application of thermally stable laminates a rotating disk is chosen. On the other hand, Kapranov compactifies M_{0,n} by iterated blow-up of the projective space P^{n-3} at n-1 points in general position and at all linear spaces spanned by them, yielding exceptional divisors and the hy

Many water treatment technologies for arsenic removal that are used today produce arsenic-bearing solid residuals (ABSR), which are disposed in mixed solid waste landfills. Small modifications in the sound speed due to wave-induced fluid convection (particle velocity) and to the wave’s effect on sound speed through the equation of state can lead to effects that could not be predicted within the limitations imposed by the assumption of linearity.
