Abstract“When Red Pigeons Gathered on Tang's House” (Chi jiu zhi ji Tang zhi wu 赤之集湯之屋) is a Warring States period bamboo manuscript written in the script of the Chu state. It concerns figures that are well known in historical legend: Tang 湯, the founder of the Shang dynasty; his wife; his minister Yi Yin 伊尹, here called by the title xiaochen 小臣 [minor servitor]; and the last king of the Xia dynasty, here called simply the Xia Lord (xia hou 夏后). These figures have their familiar identities, but the tale recorded in the manuscript is unique and has no apparent political or philosophical import.

The irreversibility is largely a result of an aggregation of Sn metal particles in Li2O matrix through the lithiation and delithiation reactions.[1] The coarsening of Sn in Li2O matrix reduces the interface area for

Patient survival was estimated by Kaplan‒Meier survival analyses and Cox proportional-hazard model. CHM-users presented lower risks of overall and anemia-related mortalities when compared to non-users. The risk of overall mortality for CHM-users in AA patients was 0.70-fold [adjusted hazard ratio

The Lunyu 論語, generally translated as The Analects, is a collection of sayings by or attributed to Confucius 孔子 (traditional dates 551–479 BCE), a ritual master who lived during the Eastern Zhou 東周 dynasty (770–221 BCE). These dialogues, often very brief and generic, were understood as indications on how to conduct oneself properly in society. A significant change that emerges from the Lunyu is the use of junzi 君子 (literally meaning "son of a lord") to indicate a person who acts morally, regardless of birth (Goldin 2020: 49). Chapter 7 is a close reading of Canto 53, the second of Pound's Chinese Cantos, in the context of the beginning of WWII and Mussolini's Fascist Italy. Translating from Joseph-Anne-Marie de Moyriac de Mailla's thirteen-volume Histoire générale de la Chine (1777-83), Pound uses Chinese history as a way to promote Confucian ideals he believes can end the war. Special attention is paid to three Chinese characters: 正名‎ (cheng ming) “right naming,” 耀‎ (yao) “brilliance,” and 止‎ (zhi) “stop.” The central part of the chapter focuses on Pound's famous Make it New slogan, a version of which was origin
