Abstract:

This paper introduced construction method for deep pile of Zishui bridge through karst region and the checking results of the pile bearing capacity. Firstly, main structure of Zishui bridge was simply introduced. Secondly, according to the special geological conditions, construction methods for bored piles in water and drilling platform were described. The discussion focused on the problem of boring and grouting in karst foundation and their solutions. Finally, to ensure that the pile capacity can meet the design requirements, load transfer method was used on the part of pile foundation to calculate the bearing capacity. Results showed that pile bearing capacity meet the requirements, and the feasibility and correctness of construction method of Zishui bridge was also verified,which provides references for the design and construction of the same civil engineering.

Abstract:

Growing up on New York City's Lower East Side of the 1950s there were no other Breitbarts to be found, so it was not surprising that I would be drawn to the heroic legend of my famous ancestor and namesake, Siegmund (Zishe) Breitbart. My parents were survivors of the Holocaust, born in Turka, a small shtetl in Galicia, Poland, not far from the Lodz birthplace of the “greatest Jewish strongman—the modern Samson.” Being related to the famous Jewish “Iron King” was, for me, a proud link to a legacy of strength, courage, and defiance in an environment scarred by the profound losses and overwhelming grief of my generation of “children of survivors.” In 1994, I attended the International AIDS Congress in Berlin, and was the first Breitbart, to my knowledge, to visit Zishe's grave site in a small Jewish cemetery in the former East Berlin. Zishe Breitbart was a looming figure of strength in my subconscious.

Jak se videoherní trh pomalu sytí, uchylují se vydavatelé k používání nových metod zpoplatnění svých produktů, které mají vést ke zvýšení zisku z jednotlivých her. Cílem tohoto článku je popsat jednu z těchto praktik, tzv. lootboxy, a poukázat na hlavní problémy, které působí v kontextu českého právního řádu i praktického dopadu. Článek rovněž provede komparaci přístupu jiných států k otázce lootboxů a předloží možná řešení situace.

Abstract:

Our work presents the professional sports league in North America in comparison with sports organizations in Europe. Based on that comparison, we found signifi cant diff erences, which result in diff erent behavior of clubs in North America and Europe. Clubs in North America achieve a monopoly position in relation to its surroundings due to the nature of the league. While these separate entities mutually cooperate having implemented organizational rules that prevent from dominance of one club. Th e combination of monopoly power and mutual cooperation results in the possibility of economic gain, which is for the clubs in Europe or for normal economic subjects operating in market environment unapproachable. Abuse of monopoly position of the clubs is noticeable mostly in the subsidies provided by local governments or towns to local sports club. Th ese public funds are not the most effi cient investments for locations mentioned above, as we demonstrated by a case analysis of the Miami Heat basketball club.

Dans son film Invincible (2001), le réalisateur allemand Werner Herzog met en scène la légende de Zishe Breibart, un Juif doté d’une force surhumaine. La théâtralité des images filmées par Herzog et la musique originale du film composée par Hans Zimmer concourent, selon l’auteure, à accentuer la dimension héroïque du personnage et à évoquer l’opéra wagnérien. Après avoir mis en parallèle les procédés de composition de la musique du film et de l’écriture postromantique, l’article propose une analyse comparative entre la musique et les images pour démontrer comment la musique du film sert de support privilégié au mythe wagnérien. L’article s’attarde enfin aux répercussions du subterfuge mis en scène par Herzog, qui consiste à faire d’un Juif un héros national à l’aube du nazisme.

Abstract:

In an environment marked with phenomena such as globalization and creation, open innovation is critical for universities to cooperate with external resources and meet the requirements of the era. To investigate open innovation ecosystem of higher education, we use secondary data and interviews to analysis interactive model of Zizhu International Education Park from both internal and external perspectives. The analysis result suggests that the open innovation ecosystem could have positive effects on the development of higher education. It can contribute to deepening the integration of production, teaching, and research; improve the efficiency of scientific research transformation; and use this part of the income to supplement school funding. While the university–industry collaborative relationship could also be a limiting factor for it.

Abstract:

When people are highly confident in their memory of a particular event, it is likely that the accuracy of that memory is also high. However, research has shown that the relationship between confidence and memory accuracy changes under certain circumstances. Interruptions, for instance, have been shown to change this relationship (Zish, Hassanzadeh, McMurry, & Trafton, 2015). The present study sought to determine the response behavior associated with this change. Results indicated that the change in the relationship between memory and confidence is characterized by a decrease in the rate of hits and an increase in the rate of false alarms. Thus, interruptions disrupt the relationship between memory and confidence by reducing sensitivity across all levels of signal detection.

Abstract:

Abstract This paper examines a non-canonical passive construction in Chinese. In this construction, the passive marker bei can proceed a constituent including intransitive verbs, adjectives and nouns, in such expressions as bei zisha/‘commit suicide,’ bei xingfu/‘happy’ or bei gaotie/‘high speed train.’ Following Mental Space Theory (Fauconnier 1994, 1997), this paper argues that the construction serves as a space builder, which prompts conceptualizers to build a counterfactual space to hold the event conveyed by the constituent but deny the event or its associated assumption in the base space. The Mental Space operations produce the interpretations of the construction featured by ambiguity and irony. This study demonstrates the existence of dedicated counterfactual constructions in Chinese. It showcases an attempt to posit cognitive operations as the constructional function and outlines a cognitively plausible procedure to derive specific interpretations of the construction in the context.

Abstract:

Abstract. The concentrations of heavy metals (As, Cr, Cd, Cu, Zn, Mn, Ni and Pb) were measured in the water, sediment, and three common plants (Rorippa indica,Rumex acetosaandOrychophragmus violaceus) from Nanjing Forestry University reach of Zihu River, China. Results showed that the toxic threshold values exceeded the upper limits for Cd and Mn in water. In the same way, toxic threshold values exceeded the limitation for As, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn in sediment. Overproof Cd, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn were also found in rhizosphere soil. Average concentration of Zn was higher in sediment, followed by Mn in both water and rhizosphere soil. It was found that heavy metals (Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, As and Zn) in water may be mainly derived from metal processing, electroplating industries, industrial wastewater, and domestic sewage. Positive correlation was observed between As and Cu, As and Ni, Cr and Pb, Cu and Ni, Pb and Zn in water. Moreover, significant positive correlations between Ni and As were observed. Preliminary judgment showed that sediment has a depuration effect on As, Cu, Ni, Cr, Pb and Zn in water, according to correlation coefficients of water and sediment. Comparing the relations between sediment and rhizosphere soil, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn in the rhizosphere soil were mainly from the sediment, and Mn was mainly from water. Three plants played active roles on enrichment of As, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn, particularly, Zn and Mn can be accumulated to higher concentration in these three plants. As content in rhizosphere soil was found to be lower than sediment, indicating As was most absorbed by the plants. Thus, three plants were playing a potential role in environment inductors.

Abstract:

The parameter calibration of TOPMODEL is influenced by digital elevation model (DEM) resolution because of the utilization of scale-dependent topographic index representing hydrologic similarity. The downscaled DEM from the coarse-resolution DEM and the resolution factor are applied to remove the DEM scale effects on the upslope area. Meanwhile, a fractal method is introduced as an approach to account for the effect of DEM resolution on slope. A significant improvement on the estimation of slope directly from the coarse-resolution data is made by applying fractal parameters that are computed from the standard deviation of elevation and the topographic complexity index in a 3 × 3 window of the DEM to account for local variability in the surface. The method to downscale the topographic index distribution is then coupled with the TOPMODEL to develop the scale-invariant TOPMODEL and is applied to perform streamflow simulation in the context of different DEM resolutions in the Zishui catchment. Results show that the calculated hydrograph based on the DEM data at 900 and 1,800 m resolution is consistent with that based on the DEM data at 100 m resolution when the same parameter set is used.

Abstract:

Heavy metal pollution in sediment is one of the most serious problems in water bodies, including rivers, which can cause secondary pollution when environmental conditions change. In this study, surface sediment samples collected from the four main tributaries of Dongting Lake (i.e., Xiangjiang River (XR), Zishui River (ZR), Yuanjiang River (YR), and Lishui River (LR)) were analyzed for concentrations of Zn, Cr, Cu, As, Cd, and Pb. The spatial distribution, source, and potential ecological risk of these metals were determined. The results suggest a great spatial heterogeneity of heavy metals in the sediment of the studied rivers. Heavy metals had highest concentrations in the sediment of XR, especially midstream and downstream. A principal component analysis (PCA) and correlation analysis indicated that Cd and As were mainly from industrial wastewater and mineral mining, Cr came from natural process and agricultural activities, and Zn and Cu potentially from both. Pb was originated from atmospheric deposition and river inflow transportation. According to the geo-accumulation index ( I g e o ), enrichment factor (EF), and risk index (RI) assessment, heavy metals pollution was highest in the sediment of XR, and Cd was the main pollutant in the sediment of XR, presenting considerable potential ecological risk. This may contribute to heavy metal pollution in Dongting Lake. This paper provides a reference for the aquatic environmental management of heavy metals in Dongting Lake area and its tributaries.

Abstract:

The passenger transportation hub plays a crucial role in the urban transportation system. Analyzing transportation hub related travel demand is necessary to support urban transportation planning and management. However, it is difficult to use the traditional travel survey methods to study travel demand because tracking passenger travel trajectories is a near impossible task. The location information from the cellular system provides a feasible way to solve the problem. This paper concentrates on applying mobile phone data to study passenger travel demand related to the Hongqiao transportation hub in Shanghai, China. First, a method is introduced to collect passenger travel information related to the hub from mobile phone data. Then, travel demand indexes are presented to characterize the travel demand in a visual way. Finally, transportation corridors, which connect the hub and other urban areas, are identified to analyze the distribution of travel demand more thoroughly. The results illustrate that the passenger travel demand shows an obvious tide pattern in the city area with the Hongqiao transportation hub as the center. Moreover, there are two identified transportation corridors which reveal the major distribution directions of the passengers, that is, the city center and the Zizhu industrial development zone. The approach in this study testifies that mobile phone data has great potential for transportation planning and management related to transportation hubs.

Abstract:

Důvěra a reciprocita vstupují do většiny osobních, sociálních a ekonomických interakcí. Zatímco kooperativní chování se může realizovat k užitku partnerů interakce, sobeckost a nereciproční jednání mohou škodit. V článku prezentujeme investiční hru s plnou (symetrickou) informací a parciální (asymetrickou) informací. V experimentu též zavádíme očekávání subjektů ohledně chování protistrany interakce. To nám umožňuje pozorovat vedlejší motivy chování účastníků experimentu. Experiment opakujeme v pěti kolech a pozorujeme vliv symetrické a asymetrické informace na vývoj důvěry a reciprocity. Pozorujeme odklon ekonomických agentů od neohraničeně racionálního a sobeckého chování. Subjekty se odchylují od nashovských ekvilibrií. Dokumentujeme důkaz toho, že důvěra indikuje reciprocitu. Účastníci experimentu jsou averzní vůči nespravedlnosti, ale pozorujeme nepatrně oportunistické chování v experimentu s asymetrickou informací, kde subjekty využívají informační disparitu. Efekt reputace nebyl potvrzený a teda důvěra a reciprocita se v průběhu interakce podstatně nevyvíjejí. Step out efekt nebyl taktéž potvrzený, a teda subjekty nemají tendenci ke zběhnutí z kooperace. Subjekty si v prezentovaném experimentu zasílají sumy podobné sumám, jaké si zasílali subjekty v referenčních experimentech. Avšak Sendeři na Slovensku zasílají sumy, které jsou menší než sumy zasílané v jiných zemích. Recent studies on Chinese language use show that the rapid development of Internet communication in China has created a new linguistic variety, Chinese Internet language (CIL). Marked with innovations and catch words, CIL is officially branded as 平民化 pingminhua (‘grassroots,’ ‘ordinary’), 低门槛 dimenkan (‘low-standard,’ ‘vulgar’) (Language Situation in China 2012: 205). Nevertheless, the new usages in CIL have attracted tremendous attention; prominent among them is the usage of 被 bei- XX. In Modern Chinese grammar, bei is a preposition followed by an agent (bei + agent + verb) in passive sentences. However, since the news broke out that Prisoner Li Guofu died in a prison hospital and was announced as “a suicide” by the administration in 2008, the usage of 被自杀 bei zisha (to be presumably murdered) started to appear in the Internet and was soon analogized; consequently, numerous new usages of bei-XX swept through the media like wildfire. Taking the grammaticalization approach (Hopper and Traugott 2003), this study intends to explore the semantic changes, linguistic features, and grammatical role of bei in the bei-XX construction. It examines the historical development of bei in the grammaticalization process and evaluates previous and recent analyses associated with it. Drawing on data from China’s national annual reports entitled 《中国语言生活状况报告》 Language Situation in China (2005 to 2013) and online CIL publications, the study proposes an alternative analysis of bei in the bei-XX construction and predicts that this new bei will become an established prefix in the Chinese language and, further, create large word families with bei-XX as the blueprint.

Abstract:

Abstract Monitoring, calculation and assessment of community pharmacy prosperity with the help of financial analysis indicators for years 2003-2012, using financial statements was conducted, with respect to profitability parameters such as gross and net profit ratios. These ratios reflect various changes that hold between years 2003 and 2012. Under the time of financial crisis, recession and serious socioeconomic changes the profitability parameter gross profit ranged from x2003-2011=14.3-22.8% (average=19.2%, mean=19.8%, σ=2.4), but in 2012 decreased on 14.3%. Net profit ranged x2003-2011 = 2.3-18.3% (average=14.6%, mean =16.6%, σ = 4.9), while in 2012 reached only 2.3%. All changes that have taken place in the society had impact on community pharmacy finance by worsening its profitability. Therefore, the stability of community pharmacy may be threatened and may affect its future performance.

Cuentan los otomíes que Zithu, el diablo, es la antigua que más poder tiene y es el gran maestro de todos los curanderos, pues posee mucha fuerza, mucho nzahki, por eso se le ofrecen grandes ofrendas durante el Carnaval otomí, pues es en esta fiesta que Zithu llega a jugar, divertirse y encontrarse con los humanos. En el Carnaval todos los curanderos colocan una ofrenda en su casa para Zithu y cada día se visita una casa y se baila alrededor de ella. Sin embargo, para poder poner una ofrenda primero tienen que soñarla, es decir, los curanderos son visitados en sueños por el diablo y éste les dice cómo deben ser. Este artículo tiene como objetivo exponer el importante papel que tienen los curanderos dentro del Carnaval otomí que se realiza en la comunidad de Ixtololoya, municipio de Pantepec en la Sierra Norte de Puebla.

Un life settlement es una transacción financiera por la que el tomador de un seguro de vida, pagadero al fallecimiento del asegurado, vende su póliza a un inversor por un precio superior al que obtendría en caso de rescatar dicha póliza. De esta forma, el inversor asume el compromiso de pagar, si existen, las primas pendientes y adquiere el derecho de cobro de la suma asegurada cuando el asegurado fallezca. En el presente trabajo se realiza tanto un análisis descriptivo de este tipo de transacciones, como un estudio de sus principales aspectos cuantitativos. Así, entre otros aspectos, se ofrece una visión general del producto y se describen sus principales actores, la naturaleza de los parámetros que intervienen en su valor y los riesgos asociados en relación a éste. Desde el punto de vista cuantitativo, se introduce una nueva forma de analizar la sensibilidad del precio de un life settlement frente a variaciones de la esperanza de vida del asegurado. En efecto, extendemos los indicadores duración y convexidad de Stone y Zissu (2008), que usan un enfoque determinista, al marco analítico que proporciona el método de valoración denominado probabilístico y proponemos medir la sensibilidad del valor de este producto frente a variaciones del multiplicador de la probabilidad de mortalidad del asegurado, y no de su esperanza de vida. Asimismo, se describe la aplicabilidad de las nuevas medidas para la gestión de riesgos.

Z hľadiska zvyšujúcej sa zložitosti podnikových systémov a ich využitia je nevyhnutným základom každej úspešnej cesty taký systém, ktorý integruje nielen spracovanie informácií, tvorbu plánov, ale aj analýzu a kontrolu. Veľmi dôležitá je aj možnosť prijímať správne a rýchle rozhodnutia, čím sa znižuje pravdepodobnosť možných rizík a nebezpečenstiev na minimum. Controlling je v tomto kontexte veľmi dôležitým nástrojom pre podporu riadenia a rozhodovania. Príspevok prináša analýzu controllingových nástrojov s ohľadom na ich uplatnenie v riadení dopravných spoločností. Dôraz je kladený najmä na controllingové riadenie nákladov, ich controllingovú kategorizáciu v špecifických podmienkach dopravných podnikov ako aj ich následné využitie pri riadení zisku. Pre dosiahnutie cieľa boli využité viaceré metodológie, nielen pri čiastkových cieľoch - získavaní a spracovávaní teoretických poznatkov - ale aj pri ďalšom riešení, návrhoch praktického využitia vybraných nástrojov controllingu v dopravných spoločnostiach. Predmetná problematika bola riešená s využitím vybraných kvalitatívnych metód, opierajúcich sa o indukciu so snahou pozorovať, zisťovať pravidelnosti, vytvárať závery a teórie za účelom získania naratívnych výstupov. Teoretické výstupy sú výsledkom spracovania dostupných poznatkov o controllingu a jeho vývoji, praktická rovina poskytuj výsledok vo forme návrhu uplatnenia vybraných nástrojov controllingu v podmienkach dopravných spoločností, pôsobiacich v Slovenskej republike. Príspevok možno považovať za relevantný zdroj poznania a pochopenia riešenej problematiky, ponúka metodický návrh, uplatniteľný vo všeobecnosti pre podniky, ktorých manažment sa pre zavádzanie a využívanie controllingových nástrojov rozhodne.

In this paper, all the forests, woodlands and trees in the administrative area of Zhaoling Township in Chuzhou City of Huai'an City were collected and analyzed. The total area of the administrative area is 4852 hectares, the forest coverage rate is 22.07%, and the forest greening rate is 26.13%. This index has exceeded 20% of the forest coverage rate of the well - off society. Tree species is particularly serious. In the forest system (pure forest), the area of pure forest of poplar is accounted for 99.9% of the whole forest area. In the four tree systems, the number of poplar trees accounted for 80% of the total number of trees in the whole tree, and the total amount of poplar trees accounted for 98%. The poplar pure forest age group structure disorders, the unit area is low. The ratio of total area of poplar pure forest in Zhongling and young forests was 92.9%, and the ratio of total area of poplar pure forest and mature forest was 7.1%. The ratio of mature forest and the ratio of mature forest was 0.7%, and the proportion of each group was obviously abnormal.

Abstract:

Moderní logistická praxe směřuje ke komplexnímu řešení problémů a plné integraci dodavatelských řetězců. Jednou z oblastí, ve které je třeba nalézt efektivní řešení je vytvoření skladové sítě. Nalezení vhodného modelu pro umisťování distribučních, respektive skladovacích center, který by kromě hlediska úspory nákladů či maximalizace zisku, zohledňoval také časové hledisko, může vést k získání konkurenční výhody. Aplikace takového modelu na podmínky současných trendů v oblasti logistiky poslední míle by pak mohla vést nejen k získání konkurenční výhody, ale také k získání většího podílu na trhu. Cílem tohoto článku je tedy prozkoumat možnosti využití stávajících metod a modelů, používaných pro vytvoření distribuční sítě, jako jsou metody statické, u kterých je možné sklady či střediska obsluhy rozmístit podle účelové funkce, a dle jejich povahy lze použít modely spojité, diskrétní či síťové. Dále jsou pak v článku zkoumány možnosti využití modelů dynamických, které jsou více zaměřeny na faktor času a mohly by tak být využity k alokaci skladů či distribučních center, mimo jiné, také v logistice poslední míle, neboť současným trendem je právě hledisko časové, kdy společnosti v současné době usilují o co největší zkrácení dodacích lhůt. Článek se věnuje možnostem využití lokačně-alokačních úloh, P-median modelu, Weberova modelu či pojetí problému umístění skladu jako nedimenzovaného problému umístění zařízení. Jako problematické se u výše zmíněných modelů ukazuje fakt, že tyto modely neberou v potaz zákazníky a přínos pro zákazníky. Je tedy třeba se zaměřit na nalezení takového modelu, který by bral v potaz určité prvky zákaznického servisu, jako je například snadná dostupnost produktů, frekvence dodávek či požadavky na čas dodání, a to nejen v případě logistiky poslední míle. Ze zkoumaných metod se jako nejlepší pro tyto účely jeví logistická metoda, popisovaná v češtině jako „Dům kvality“, jejímž účelem je zapracovat požadavky koncových zákazníků do finálního produktu společnosti, spolu s metodou známou jako „Analytický hierarchický proces“, jejímž cílem je rozklad složité nestrukturované situace na jednodušší komponenty, a „Analytický síťový proces“, což je jedna z obecnějších metod „Analytického hierarchického procesu, zaměřená na síťové rozhodovací problémy s cílem určit optimální místo pro umístění zařízení. Cílem tohoto článku je prozkoumat možnosti využití kombinace výše zmíněných modelů pro rozmístění skladů či distribučních center v logistice poslední míle.
