Abstract:
IntroductionAccessibility of the Internet allows people to connect anonymously and without boundaries – features particularly important for people with relatively rare sexual preference such as paraphilia.ObjectivesTo (1) allow for conceptualization and improved management of zoophilic patients in clinical practice or forensic examinations, (2) analyze how zoophiles network using online discussion forums, and (3) describe main goals of digital networking.MethodsA qualitative observational study of user activity (n = 958) on discussion forums, combined with brief demographic survey. Data were analyzed according to principles of grounded theory. Next, surveys of own design (demographic, discreet + open ended questions) were answered by 350 participants. Presented data show aggregate conclusions from mixed methods qualitative and quantitative analysis.ResultsZoophiles (or, zoos) use Internet to connect with other zoophiles (26.6% to have casual sex, 17.7% for dating, and 17% to exchange pornography). Connections are easiest to be established in countryside, where zoophilia clusters. In fact, there are village communities of zoos where explicit sharing of animal sexual partner(s) (28%) and/or voyeurism (30%) serve as bonding ritual. Over 40% of zoophiles are reluctant to meet other zoos in person, since they view them as “weird”, pointing to phenomenon of internalized stigmatization due to having non-normative sexuality. Online forums are also used by zoophiles to exchange information about which districts are at risk of becoming a target of social ostracism.ConclusionsPeople with zoophilia use digital communities to network, meet for sex, find dating partners and for own safety reasons.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:
IntroductionIn 2011, Anil Aggrawal proposed ten-point classification system of zoophilia, based on forensic literature review.Objectives(1) Allow for conceptualization and improved management of zoophilic patients in clinical practice or forensic examinations, (2) describe identity of modern-day zoophiles, including demographics and psycho-social profile, and (3) determine normative and pathologic traits and behaviours.MethodsA qualitative observational study of user activity (n = 958) on discussion forums, combined with brief demographic survey. Data were analyzed according to principles of grounded theory. Surveys of own design (demographic, discreet + open ended questions) were answered by 350 participants. Presented data show aggregate conclusions from mixed methods qualitative and quantitative analysis.ResultsProposed classification system categorizes zoos as either classic, sexual, romantic, or platonic. Relationship goals of classic and romantic zoos are reminiscent of those typical of human partnership, differentiated by the commitment and psychological distress level (romantic zoos, affectionate relationship goals outweigh sexual pursuit; classic zoos, romantic and sexual urges cause distress rather than pleasure). Sexual zoos show high prevalence of hypersexuality traits. Platonic zoos are typically confused about the roots of their sexuality. Contrary to common perceptions, prevalence of sexual sadism is extremely low (<1% in our study). Sociopathic traits determine propensity for animal cruelty, which is not synonymous with typical zoophilia. Half of respondents were in committed relationship with human partner, whom they frequently attempted to “convert” into practicing zoophile.ConclusionsWe can categorize zoophiles into four sub-types. Emotional attachment and sexual urges play equal role in bonding with animal partner.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:
IntroductionParkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative brain disorder characterized by Bradykinesia, muscle rigidity and resting tremor. Non-motor symptoms like neuropsychiatric manifestations can also cause significant morbidity. Common medications used in anti-Parkinsonian treatment such as dopaminergic agonists, may help motor symptoms but can also cause or contribute to adverse behavioral manifestations. These include dementia, depression, anxiety, insomnia, psychosis and paraphilic disorders. There are sporadic reports of zoophilia in association with dopaminergic therapy.ObjectivesReport of a clinical case of PD and zoophilia.Aimsclinicians must be aware of paraphilic disorders, namely zoophilia, in patients with dopaminergic medication.MethodSearch of the Pubmed database was conducted for articles published that had “zoophilia [All Fields] and Parkinson [All Fields]”, resulting in 3 eligible articles through October 2016. The patient's clinical records were also reviewed.Case ReportA 77-year-old man, living in a rural area and with a low educational background, with akinetic–rigid PD in an advanced stage and followed by neurology since 2003. His family physician sent him to a psychiatric assessment for hyper-sexuality with zoophilia. The psychiatrist found that these behaviors had begun a week after levodopa was increased along with the introduction of selegiline. The psychiatrist has introduced quetiapine with significant decrease of the hyper-sexuality and the end of zoophilic episodes.ConclusionDespite hyper-sexuality is found in just 2–6% of PD patients in connection with dopaminergic treatment. This case report emphasizes how crucial it is to evaluate PD patients’ sexuality as well as to explain these adverse effects to the families involved.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:

Infektionsquelle sind u. a.

Abstract:
IntroductionWe explore relationship-seeking behaviour of zoophiles (zoos), using Francoeur's (1991) definition of sexual orientation (as consisting of affection orientation, sexual fantasy orientation, and erotic orientation).ObjectivesThis study intends to be the largest in recent decades’ comprehensive analysis of self-identified zoophiles, living on all five continents. It describes similarities and differences between normative sexual orientations (hetero- and homo-) and zoophilic sexuality, using Francoeur's (1991) framework.MethodA qualitative observational study of user activity (n = 958) on discussion forums, combined with brief demographic survey. Data were analyzed according to principles of grounded theory. Next, surveys of own design (demographic, discreet + open ended questions) were received by n = 350 participants. Presented data show aggregate conclusions from mixed methods qualitative and quantitative analysis.ResultsTrend analysis yielded four main discussions among zoophiles – worldview, personal space, sex life, and online space. Within worldview category, zoos overwhelmingly discuss bad press (55%), as well as social (41%) and legal (22%) ostracism. In personal space, the primary concern is coming at easy with own sexuality (>60%) and forming lasting relationship with either human, animal, or both partners simultaneously. In terms of sex life, zoos are concerned with improving sex play (>40%) and figuring out legality of sexual encounters with animals (22%). Concerning online space, the biggest concern here is networking (40%) and meeting other zoos for dating (15%).ConclusionsModern zoophiles have a wide array of personal, social, legal, and sex life challenges that can be approximated using qualitative studies.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Humans show a wide array of sexual preferences and behaviour. Zoophilia, or bestiality, consists of sexual intercourse by a human being with a lower animal. There is a paucity of literature on zoophilia. We describe a rare case of preferential zoophilia involving multiple animals. The perpetrator developed this habit only during episodes of depression. It is recommended that due to the apparent common occurrence of this condition, questions exploring a topic which appears to be routinely ignored should be included in the psychiatric interview.

Abstract:
Purpose There remains a lack of knowledge surrounding paraphilic or deviant arousal sexual behaviours in individuals with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) (Kellaher, 2015). The purpose of this paper is to explore the literature for any empirical study, case study or discussion/review paper surrounding individuals with ASD and zoophilia or bestiality. Design/methodology/approach A systematic PRISMA review was conducted. Findings This systematic review highlighted only a small number of papers, which have looked at zoophilia or bestiality in individuals with ASD. Only one article was identified as being relevant in the present review, three further articles included a description of a case involving someone with ASD who engaged in zoophilia or bestiality and another paper, although not the focus of the study, found one person with Asperger’s disorder who had several paraphilias including olfactophilia, podophilia and zoophilia in a sample of 20 institutionalised, male adolescents and young adults with Autistic disorder and borderline/mild mental retardation. All the case studies clearly highlight some of the ASD symptomology that can contribute to engaging in bestiality or zoophilia. Practical implications It is important that individuals with ASD have access to appropriate and timely sex education and that parents are supported by healthcare professionals to engage with their children with ASD in such interactions across the autism spectrum irrespective of the parent’s expectations. Originality/value To the author’s knowledge, this is the first review of ASD in relation to bestiality and zoophilia.

Abstract:
The criminal legislation regarding zoophilia and the legal status of animals were examined in 15 European countries. With regard to zoophilia, answers to the following questions were sought: are sexual acts performed with animals and the possession and distribution of animal pornography criminally punishable? Several aspects of the legal status of animals were examined including: (1) is the protection of individual animals included in the constitution, (2) do animals have a special status beyond mere objects, (3) can we find specific legislative provisions that explicitly state that animals are not simply things, and (4) does the legal system also take the “dignity” of animals into consideration. The assessment of zoophilia and the legal status of animals resulted in two country rankings, which the authors compared with each other. The correlation was not significant (p = 0.3147). At the same time, countries with differentiated criminal legislation for zoophilia were also 3.62 times more likely to rank higher in terms of the legal status of animals. The Swiss regulations are exceptional in both respects, while at the other end of the list, Italy does not have specific legislative provisions for either aspect.

From the earliest human cultures, nonhuman animals have been central to the sexual imaginary of humans. This article traces the modern history of bestiality from the nineteenth century, culminating in ‘zoo’ communities today. It explores the changing ideas about the ‘wrongness’ of such acts. It asks: what do human–animal sexual relations tell us about gender, sexuality, violence, psychiatry and concepts of consent? What are the possibilities for humans and nonhuman animals becoming true ‘companion species’?

Recently, tangible results have been achieved in veterinary medicine in the use of biological methods for combating zoophilic insects and ectoparasites, and the use of microbiological and pyrethroid preparations with a plant base. Zoophilic insects and mites as ecto- and endoparasites parasitize on the body of animals and humans cause infestation, that is, parasitosis (entomoses and acarosis), as a result of which the milk productivity of cattle decreases to 30-40 percent, meat productivity annually decreases by 10-12 kilograms, and also negatively affect the growth and development of young animals and lead to death.

Abstract:
Objective: Zoophilia is a rare paraphilic disorder with intense sexual urges involving animals. Autism is characterised by impairments in social communication and repetitive, restricted behaviours (RRB). Reported cases of zoophilia are limited worldwide, and zoophilia in autism is rarer. Method: This is a case report describing this unique and relatively unrecognised association in a male adolescent from Sri Lanka. Results: A 17-year-old boy diagnosed with autism has average intelligence and academic capabilities. He had spent increasing time at his grandparents’ cattle house. First, he was found masturbating near the cows and later having penetrative intercourse with a heifer. The shocked parents first sought traditional healing in the form of ‘thovil’, a demonic ritual of exorcist nature. Later, clinical evaluation found intense sexual urges towards cattle, which had led to marked distress and academic impairment. Sex hormone profile was normal. The adolescent was treated with a combination of cognitive–behaviour therapy and a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Conclusion: We postulate that his persistent social difficulties contributed to the development of a paraphilic disorder. Unlike with his RRBs, he was markedly distressed about this sexual behaviour. Further research is required to explore this rarely reported, potential association.

Abstract:
The development of social interactions variety and the flow of information that brings positive and negative value, impact on social life and human behavior. Among them there is a wise attitude by always making religion as a guide and lifestyle, but some people lost his life orientation. Even penetrated the lifestyle associated with sexual behavior. Sexual behavior is one of the serious issues detil discussed in Islam. This is because the impact is very wide in various aspects of life. Islam considers that the biological need is the sunnah of life that every Muslim must live, in order to achieve the balance between the human side as a servant of Allah Ta'ala and as a keeper of the stability of social life of society. Sex disorientation is a threatening balance. That will affect the survival of human life in general or personal perpetrators. Among the disorientation is lesbi, gay, have sex with animals or known as zoofilia, also the trangender which is one of the identity of lesbian and gay. This study aims to examine whether the laws and sanctions of these sexual disorientations, presented comparatively between Islamic law and Indonesian criminal law. The results of this study concluded about the prohibition of lesbian, gay, zoophilia and trangender in Islamic law. While about the punishment, there are some differences between the 4 Imams. Some give death penalty. Some others conclude about the enactment of ta'zir where the judge is given a policy in determining the type of punishment. While in Indonesian, this is contained in the chapter asusila. Which concludes that lesbian, gay, zoofilia is something that gets a criminal penalty and is binding only on an adult perpetrator with as a victim is an immature child. As for if the perpetrator and the victim is mature, then not touched with criminal trap. And the trangender has not regulated it specifically.

Abstract:
Sexual attraction towards animals disorder: Diagnostic classification based on a systematic review Abstract: Sexual intercourse between humans and animals has existed since the dawn of humanity in every place and culture of the world. Nevertheless, this issue has been scarcely approached by science. Given the wide differences in behavior and preferences among people who practice sex with animals, it is necessary to establish a subtypes classification. For this purpose, a systematic review of investigations was carried out that allowed us to select 26 empirical studies. Their analysis permitted to describe the group of Sexual Attraction Towards Animals disorder, comprising four differentiated disorders: (1) zoophilic disorder, (2) bestiality disorder, (3) sexual zoosadism, and (4) sexual attraction disorder towards animals due to medical or substance-induced illness. Additionally, the diagnostic criteria for each are proposed. Implications and limitations are discussed, as well as the value of having a classification of these disorders and the need to incorporate their study in the academic field. Keywords: Bestiality; disorders; paraphilias; zoophilia; zoosadism.
