Transliteration from Ukrainian Cyrillic integrated into the generation of references

Recently, we have launched our online service for transliterating Ukrainian Cyrillic into the Roman alphabet in compliance with the official requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Today, we have more news: we have integrated our automatic transliteration into the bibliographic service. This allows you transliterating automatically your lists of references generated on Grafiati under the citation standards DSTU 8302:2015 and DSTU GOST 7.1:2006 online in just one click.

On the right hand of your bibliography's title, you will find the 'Bibliography menu' button. Click on it and select whether you would like to transliterate the text of your list of references into the Latin script. Once the transliteration turned on, all your references will be automatically transliterated, with their formatting kept intact:

Original reference Reference transliterated with Grafiati
Павко Я. А. Арктика: пріоритетні напрямки міжнародно-правових досліджень. Наукові записки Інституту законодавства Верховної Ради України. 2016. № 1. С. 167—173. Pavko Ya. A. Arktyka: priorytetni napriamky mizhnarodno-pravovykh doslidzhen. Naukovi zapysky Instytutu zakonodavstva Verkhovnoi Rady Ukrainy. 2016. № 1. S. 167—173.

Our transliterator can work together with feature of the abbreviation of reference elements under DSTU 3582:2013 launched earlier: you can transliterate your references with the abbreviation already applied and vice-versa.

The transliteration works for all references created under the citation standards DSTU 8302:2015 and DSTU GOST 7.1:2006 and is assumed for the sources in the Ukrainian language. If you wish transliterating your lists of references generated under other citation styles, use our standalone transliterator.

Submitting a transliterated list of references is a widespread requirement of scholarly journals. Therefore, we are positive that the new service will be useful for our users.
