Анотація:

The mammalian CECR2 protein contains a highly conserved bromodomain and forms a chromatin-remodelling complex with the ISWI homologue SNF2L. Mutation of the mouse CECR2 homologue results in a neural tube defect. Here we describe the characterization of the Drosophila melanogaster homologue of CECR2. Originally annotated as 2 genes, dikar and CG32394 now appear to encode both a long dikar/CG32394 transcript homologous to CECR2 and a truncated transcript missing the bromodomain. This truncated transcript may be specific to Diptera, as it is predicted from the genomic sequences of several other dipteran species but it is not predicted in the honey bee, Apis mellifera , and it is not found in mammals. Five different P element–mediated 5′ deletions of the Drosophila dikar gene were generated. All mutants were homozygous-viable and the 3 mutants examined further displayed continued, albeit aberrant, transcription of dikar/CG32394. In a previous study, a dikar insertion mutation was associated with long-term memory deficits. However, the 2 deletion mutants tested here showed normal long-term memory, suggesting that the memory deficit associated with the dikar P element insertion is not due to disruption of dikar. No genetic interaction was seen between Iswi and dikar mutations. This study therefore suggests that the lack of a visible phenotype in dikar mutants is due to compensation by a second gene, possibly acf1.

PurposeTo combat poverty in China's rural areas, Chinese government has established an unconditional cash transfer program known as the Rural Minimum Living Standard Guarantee (Rural Dibao) Program. Interestingly, despite the importance of education in breaking cycles of poverty, little is known about Rural Dibao's impact on rural children's education. This study investigates Rural Dibao's impact on rural children's learning outcomes by first examining targeting issues within the program, exploring a causal relationship between Rural Dibao and learning outcomes, and then exploring potential mechanisms and heterogeneous effects.Design/methodology/approachFixed effects model and propensity score weighting method and data from China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) from the years 2010 and 2014 were used.FindingsThe results suggest that the Rural Dibao program suffers from high levels of targeting error, yet is still effective (i.e., program transfers generally still go to people in need). The fixed effects and propensity score weighting models find that program participation raises rural children's standardized test scores in CFPS Chinese-language and math tests. In investigating mechanisms, increased education expenditure seems to connect Rural Dibao participation to increased learning results. The heterogeneity analysis shows that poorer, non-eastern, not left behind, younger or male children benefit from the program (while others have no effect).Originality/valueThese findings suggest that Rural Dibao participation boosts rural children's learning, which could indicate a long-term anti-poverty effect, and that if the program can resolve targeting problems, this effect could be even greater.

This research generally aims to develop personal branding research with social media. The previous research took Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter media, but this research focuses on personal branding on YouTube. This research method is a qualitative and descriptive method by observing Raditya Dika YouTube Channel and interviews with several Subribers Raditya Dika. The study describes the situations or events and does not seek links, hypotheses, or make predictions. In this research, the indicators of personal branding are authenticity, integrity, consistency, specialization, authority, distinctiveness, relevance, visibility, persistence, goodwill, and performance. The subject of this research is Raditya Dika's YouTube channel, and the object of this research is a personal brand Raditya Dika through a personal YouTube channel. The results show that Raditya Dika can form, even enhance a positive image by establishing personal branding through YouTube.

AbstractIn 1921 and 1924 Muhammadu Dikko, the emir of Katsina, traveled to Britain on a sightseeing trip, becoming the first emir or chief from Northern Nigeria to visit the British imperial metropole. This article analyzes the colonial relationship that put Dikko in the colonizers’ orbit and favor and paved the way for him to embark on the trips, the colonial logistics and networks that facilitated the journeys, Dikko's experiences and adventures in Britain, and, most importantly, his perspectives on British society, institutions, goods, and forms of leisure. I argue that Dikko, though constrained by serving as a prop in a colonial performance of power, used travel to Britain as a platform to advance metropolitan modernity as an aspirational if distant model of socioeconomic advancement and to give his peers and subjects in Northern Nigeria a textual reference for navigating colonial culture in relation to their own natal Islamo-Hausa cultural norms.

The fine modern scholarship on Athenian law has concentrated on (a) the scope of particular laws, and (b) the technical aspects of the legal process. This paper attempts to examine how the legal system worked in practice.The Athenians classified legal cases in various ways. On the one hand there was a division by subject matter between private cases (dikai idiai) and public cases (dikai dēmosiai), and on the other there was a division according to the procedure involved. There were a number of specialised procedures, but the most important procedural division was between those cases which anyone was free to bring (graphai) and those which only an interested party could bring (dikai in the narrow sense). These divisions on grounds of subject matter and on grounds of procedure overlap, but they are distinct and neither corresponds to the modern European legal division between civil and criminal cases.

Aiming at guaranteeing the security of Zhong Ba village, reducing investment capital and preventing geological disasters, it is necessary to design debris flow alarming system in Diao Zhongba. Being a basic platform, geographic information system software MAPGIS is fully taken advantage for managing engineering geology information in Diao Zhongba. Then research on secondary development library based on MAPGIS is conducted for achieving debris flow alarming function. Detailed design of debris flow alarming system in Diao Zhongba district is made on systematic requirement analyses, systematic overall design, system environment selection, data base detailed design and module design on alarming function. The system designs 10 kinds of models in all which includes flood peak flow computation model of dam breaking and flood peak evolution process model of dam burst. The system can conduct an automate information process on debris flow with which serves as the references for debris flow alarming in Diao Zhongba district.

The Tang dynasty tax system is often referred to as zuyongdiao 租庸調, with each of these three terms having a specific meaning. Zu was the annual collection of 2 piculs, roughly 120 litres of grain (su 粟) per head. Yong was the annual corvée (labour) duty of 21 days per head, which could be substituted and paid for in silk or cloth, or the cloth-paid-in-place-of-annual-corvée tax. Diao was the tax in kind, payable in textiles (substitutions of other goods were sometimes permitted). In silk-producing areas the diao tax per head was 2 decafeet of silk, payable in ling-twill, juan-silk or silk thread (si 絲) and 3 ounces of silk floss (simian 絲綿). In areas that did not produce silk, the diao tax was 2 decafeet, 5 feet of hemp cloth and 3 pounds of hemp yarn.

Анотація:

The 1999 relief plan for China’s Minimum Livelihood Guarantee (called, for short, the dibao)—originally designed to assist all of the urban poor—changed by the mid-2000s, emphasizing employment, not handouts, for the able-bodied impecunious. Also, the center ordered that cities should subsidize just the most ill and needy. We find that only some Chinese cities—the less well-endowed and politically less prominent—responded to this shift by cutting back their percentage of merely unemployed recipients and increasing the percentage of the truly needy among their dibao beneficiaries. We suggest that two factors could account for this disparity: politicians in wealthier cities have greater autonomy; and they are closer to fulfilling a momentous career goal—stepping up to a post in the central government, and are thus more ambitious. It could be that in prosperous cities—where politicians have control over their budgets and where their trajectories have already positioned them near the peak of the mobility channel—leaders choose to keep the unemployed from protesting by continuing their allowances. This suggests that when two central concerns (redirecting the dibao and social stability) collide, officials in richer cities make different choices than do those in poorer cities.

Анотація:

The aim of this research is to investigate the religious culture and moral education(RCME) preservice teachers' self-efficacy perception levels on information and communication technologies(ICT). The relational survey method which determined the relationships between two or more variables was used in the research. Participants were consisted of 104 preservice teachers (including 41 females and 63 males) from fourth grade of RCME department of Islamic Sciences/Divinitiy Faculty, Uşak University. Data were collected by using “Personal Information Form” and the “Self-efficacy Scale on Information and Communication Technologies and analyzed by using SPSS program. The findings revealed that RCME preservice teachers' self-efficacy perception levels on ICT were positive and intermediate (middle) level. It was concluded that there wasn’t significant difference between variable of having own computer and self-efficacy perception levels on ICT but there was significant difference between self-efficacy perceptions on ICT and variable of gender, the frequency of computer and internet use, education technology and material design course achievement level, the frequency of ICT –supported teaching material preparation.Extended English abstract is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.ÖzetBu araştırmanın amacı Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi (DİKAB) öğretmen adaylarının Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri (BİT) öz-yeterlik algılarını incelemektir. Çalışma grubunu Uşak Üniversitesi İlahiyat /İslami Bilimler Fakültesi DİKAB bölümü 4.sınıfta öğrenim gören toplam 104 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Veriler “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve “Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri Yeterlik Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda DİKAB öğretmen adaylarının BİT öz-yeterlik algılarının orta düzeyde olduğu, BİT öz-yeterlik algılarının bilgisayara sahip olma durumuna göre değişmediği buna karşın DİKAB öğretmen adaylarının BİT öz-yeterlik algılarının cinsiyet, bilgisayar ve internet kullanım sıklığı, Öğretim Teknolojileri ve Materyal Tasarımı dersi başarı düzeyi ve BİT destekli öğretim materyali hazırlama deneyimi bakımından anlamlı bir fark oluşturduğu tespit edilmiştir.

AbstractWhile it is increasingly recognized that shame is a pernicious component of the experience of poverty, the stigma generally associated with social assistance provision is less marked with respect to China's Minimum Living Security System, also known as dibao. This enigma is explored and illuminated drawing on two streams of indigenous Chinese scholarship and qualitative fieldwork in eight villages in Shanxi province. Economic and political changes prioritizing economic growth and individual wealth have increased the shame associated with poverty, manifest as loss of face, low mian (status) and lack of lian (integrity). However, this shame does not transfer to dibao because the scheme has been transformed locally into a universal age supplement that partially fulfils the demands of filial piety and which is seen to reflect and contribute to guanxi (social influence).

Анотація:

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to assess China’s urban social assistance policy, mainly by examining the findings of in-depth interviews with urban Dibao recipients in Chengdu about their experiences with social assistance, and by comparing what the social assistance offers with the urban poor households’ actual needs and vulnerabilities. Design/methodology/approach – In this study, the author interviewed 15 people from urban Dibao Households in Wuhou District and Qingyang District of Chengdu, China. The interviews were conducted from April to August in 2013, usually in their homes. The small sample naturally limits generalizations, however it can point to directions for future research. Findings – It is found out that urban Dibao which is the core of social assistance policy provides insufficient cash support and other special assistance programs are more of tokenistic which do not offer much help. Besides, due to lack of psychological aid, many recipients show negative and pessimistic attitudes toward life. Originality/value – Regarding the assessment of social assistance policy in China, the international literature has shown little interest. Several Chinese scholars have analyzed urban social assistance system, but they tend to examine or assess from the perspective of policy makers and focus on making policy suggestions. Thus, there is not much information about whether what the social assistance offers could meet the urban poor households’ actual needs and vulnerabilities. An interesting endeavor would be to explore and assess the urban social assistance policy from the perspective of the recipients, and this is exactly what this paper aims to do.

This paper contains a discussion of the changes in meaning that occur in comics written by Raditya Dika. The change of meaning is the transition of meaning that occurs due to various factors such as linguistic factors, history, one's psychology, and others. The method used in data collection of this research is qualitative. Qualitative data used includes several things such as detailed descriptions of situations, activities, or certain events or phenomena; direct opinions from people who have experience, their views, attitudes, beliefs, and way of thinking; snippets of documents, report documents, archives, and history; and a detailed description of a person's attitude and behavior. The source of this research data is written data sources. The data in this study are in the form of speech contained in the comic by Raditya Dika. The results of the study show that the changes in meaning contained in the comic are included in the substitution of meaning in the form of criticism. The criticism made in the form of humor is expected to be conveyed without directly confusing the feelings of the person being criticized Tulisan ini berisi pembahasan tentang perubahan makna yang terjadi pada komik yang ditulis oleh Raditya Dika. Perubahan makna merupakan peralihan makna yang terjadi akibat berbagai faktor seperti faktor kebahasaan, sejarah, psikologi seseorang, dan lain-lain. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Data kualitatif yang digunakan mencakup beberapa hal seperti deskripsi yang mendetail tentang situasi, kegiatan, atau peristiwa maupun fenomena tertentu; pendapat langsung dari orang-orang yang telah berpengalaman, pandangannya, sikapnya, kepercayaan, dan jalan pikirannya; cuplikan dari dokumen, dokumen laporan, arsip-arsip, dan sejarahnya; dan deskripsi yang mendetail tentang sikap dan tingkah laku seseorang. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa sumber data tulisan. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa tuturan yang terdapat di dalam komik karya Raditya Dika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan makna yang terdapat di dalam komik tersebut termasuk dalam pergantian makna berupa kritikan. Анотація:

Based on detailed analysis of Bouguer gravity anomaly and magnetic anomaly by reduced to the pole, this paper uses correlation analysis method to analyze local gravity and magnetic anomalies of different filter scales, including filter scales of 50km, 90km, and 130km, and then discusses the contributing factors of local gravity and magnetic anomalies in eastern Tianshan. The results show that local gravity and magnetic anomalies are cogenetic anomalies in some areas, such as northeastern Santanghu, Shaqiuhe, southern Huangtuya, northern Dikan, and western Qijiaojing, and gravity and magnetic anomalies are allogenic anomalies in other areas. The study reveals that local gravity and magnetic anomalies are chiefly caused by Cenozoic – Mesozoic strata with lower density and weaker magnetism in northern Santanghu, and igneous rock with higher density and stronger magnetism in Shaqiuhe, and uplifting of older strata in northern Dikan, and Carboniferous strata with higher density and lower magnetism than its south and north areas in Qijiaojing. The study also reveals that local negative gravity and magnetic anomalies are chiefly caused by Cenozoic – Mesozoic strata with lower density and weaker magnetism, while local positive gravity and magnetic anomalies are mainly caused by Pre-Jurassic strata higher density and stronger magnetism in southern Huangtuya.

Equivalent seismic wave can be formed by a main wave and two strong aftershock waves on the basis of energy equivalent principle. With a long-span arch bridge as a research object, the hysteretic energy distribution of the pier and arch were got by the action of the main wave and equivalent seismic wave based on energy method. And then the situation of bridge damage was assessed by Seismic Ditao Niu damage index, the regular pattern of structure damage affected by strong aftershock was revealed as well.

Анотація:

Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) is a major cause of lower genital infections in women, especially in developing countries and cause significant morbidity and financial burden on the already weak economy. The objective was to isolate and identify Candida spp responsible for Vulvovaginitis. Two hundred (200) vaginal swabs were collected from female patients 15years and above, attending Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital (YDMH) and Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital (BDSH) all within Kaduna metropolis. The samples were analysed for the presence of Candida spp using standard procedures of microscopy, culture and biochemical identification. The overall incidence of VVC was 79.5% (159/200), with higher incidence among patients attending Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital 84.8% (117/138), than Barau Dikko Memorial Hospital 67.7% (42/62). Four (4) yeast species were isolated and identified which include Candida krusie, Candida parapsilosis and Candida glabrata. C. krusie had the highest percentage occurrence of 42.5% (39/159), while C. parapsilosis had the least percentage occurrence of 11.3% (18/159). Higher incidence was recorded among age group 40 and above 92.8% (13/14) and lowest among age group 31-40 76.5% (39/51). Highest incidence was also recorded among widow 100% (18/18) and lowest among married 76.8% (109/142). The high percentage of positive samples is an indication that there is a high incidence of candidiasis among the study population. There is need for regular screening of women for VVC and other sexually transmitted infections. Key words: Incidence, Vulvovaginal Candidiasis, Isolation, Kaduna.

A través de los datos registrados en la Contaduría de Filipinas del Archivo General de Indias, se analiza la evolución del comercio de productos japoneses enviados a Manila en la fase final del periodo Namban, llegando a la conclusión de que aún hasta 1634 importantes cantidades de productos procedentes de Japón llegaban a Manila. Asimismo, mediante el análisis de los impuestos pagados por los japoneses cristianos residentes en Filipinas, se revelan los barrios en los que se asentaron los japoneses exiliados después de 1614 aparte del ya conocido barrio Dilao.

In order to study the mechanism of dynamic disaster on gassy coal and realize the monitoring and prediction, with the Didao mine as an example, this paper set up the thermal fluid-solid three field couple mathematical models of driving face and comparative analyzed the mathematical models between couple and not couple by using the software comsol. The study result shows that it has a swift response, a close connection and a shorter time in the formation of o-ring, when it is the thermal fluid-solid three field couple.

Kalbin primer tümörleri oldukça nadir görülen tablolar olup çeşitli otopsi serilerinde görülme sıklığının %0,0017 ile %0.28 arasında olduğu bildirilmektedir. Tüm yaş grupları birlikte değerlendirildiğinde bu tümörlerin yaklaşık yarısını miksomaların oluşturduğu görülmektedir. Kardiak miksomalar histolojik olarak benign olmalarına rağmen kardiak obstrüksiyona neden olma ve emboli oluşturma eğilimleri nedeniyle kalbin potansiyel fatal tümörleri arasında sınıflandırılmaktadırlar. Анотація:

We review some selected results of the tensor-pomeron and vectorodderon model of soft high-energy proton-proton scattering and central exclusive production of meson and baryon pairs in proton-proton collisions. We discuss the theoretical aspects of this approach and consider the phenomenological implications in a variety of processes at high energies, comparing to existing experimental data. We consider the diﬀractive dipion and dikaon production including the continuum and the dominant scalar and tensor resonance contributions as well as the photoproduction processes. The theoretical results are compared with existing CDF experimental data and predictions for planned or current LHC experiments, ALICE, ATLAS, CMS, LHCb are presented.
