<span>Nyamuk<strong> </strong><em>Aedes aegypti</em> merupakan vector utama pada kejadian demam berdarah (DBD). Pencegahan penularan DBD menggunakan bahan kimia disinyalir menimbulkan permasalahan sendiri diataranya adalah pencemaran lingkungan, resisten dan residu bahan kimia</span><span lang="IN">. </span><span>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas formula granul yang mengandung ekstrak bunga melati (EBM) dan ekstrak biji papaya (EBP) terhadap mortalitas larva nyamuk <em>Aedes aegypti. </em>Ekstrak diperoleh menggunakan metode maserasi. Formula dibuat menggunakan metode granulasi basah</span><span lang="IN">.</span><span> Uji larvasida menggunakan 30 larva yang terbagi dalam 6 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan formula. Kelompok kontrol terdiri dari kontrol negatif yaitu formula granul tanpa zat aktif dan kelompok pemberian serbuk abate sebagai kontrol positif. Kelompok formula terdiri dari formula mengandung EBM 10%, EBP 10%, formula kombinasi mengandung EBM dan EBP (5%:5%) dan (10%:10%). Nilai persen mortalitas larva diamati setelah 24 jam pemberian formula granul. Uji statistik <em>one way-ANOVA</em> dilanjutkan <em>Post-Hoc Test LSD</em> dilakukan untuk melihat perbedaan antar kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa formula mengandung ekstrak tunggal EBP memberikan nilai persen mortalitas secara signifikan (p&lt;0.05) dengan nilai </span><span lang="IN">60</span><span>%. Pada formula kombinasi EBM dan EBP (5%:5% dan 10%:10%)</span><span>memberikan nilai persen mortalitas sebesar</span><span>13,4% dan </span><span lang="IN">26,6</span><span>% berbeda signifikan dibandingkan dengan kontrol negatif (p&lt;0.05).</span>

There is a lack of studies investigating the clinical benefits of prebiotic-supplemented infant formula. In this study, healthy infants that started, on medical recommendation, artificial feeding with one of 2 infant formulas containing 4 g/L of GOS/FOS (9:1) (IF4 group; n = 60) or 8 g/L of GOS/FOS (9:1) (IF8 group; n = 60) were followed for 30 days to the evaluation of growth and gastrointestinal symptoms. Exclusively breastfed infants (EBF; n = 60) were followed up as a reference. Both infant formulas supported adequate weight gain, however, IF4 formula promotes growth more similar to breastfed infants. There was no additional benefit of a dose higher than 4 g/L of GOS/FOS on gastrointestinal symptoms.

Анотація:
The microwave devices are usually optimized by combining the precise model with global optimization algorithm. However, this method is time-consuming. In order to optimize the microwave devices rapidly, the knowledge-based neural network (KBNN) is used in this paper. Usually, the a priori knowledge of KBNN is obtained by the empirical formulas. Unfortunately, it is difficult to derive the corresponding formulas for the most electromagnetic problems, especially for complex electromagnetic problems; the formula derivation is almost impossible. We use precise mesh model of EM analysis as teaching signal and coarse mesh model as a priori knowledge to train the neural network (NN) by particle swarm optimization (PSO). The NN constructed by this method is simpler than traditional NN in structure which can replace precise model in optimization and reduce the computing time. The results of electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) structures optimally designed by this kind of KBNN achieve increase in the bandwidth and attenuation of the stopband and small passband ripple level which shows the advantages of the proposed KBNN method.

Анотація:
Rutin, also called rutoside or quercetin-3-O-rutinoside and sophorin, is a glycoside between the flavonol quercetin and the disaccharide rutinose. Although many effects of rutin have been reported in vitro and in vivo, the anti-adipogenic effects of rutin have not been fully reported. The aim of this study was to confirm how rutin regulates adipocyte related factors. In this study, rutin decreased the expressions of adipogenesis-related genes, including peroxisome proliferators, activated receptor [Formula: see text] (PPAR[Formula: see text], CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein [Formula: see text] (C/EBP[Formula: see text], fatty acid synthase, adipocyte fatty acid-binding protein, and lipoprotein lipase in 3T3-L1 cells. Rutin also repressed the expression of lipin1, which is an upstream regulator that controls PPAR[Formula: see text] and C/EBP[Formula: see text]. In addition, when 3T3-L1 was transfected with lipin1 siRNA to block lipin1 function, rutin did not affect the expressions of PPAR[Formula: see text] and C/EBP[Formula: see text]. These results suggest that rutin has an anti-adipogenic effect that acts through the suppression of lipin1, as well as PPAR[Formula: see text] and C/EBP[Formula: see text].

Анотація:
The effect of electron blocking layer (EBL) on the performance characteristics of InGaN-based vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) was numerically investigated using an integrated system engineering technical computer aided design (ISE TCAD) simulation program. Simulation results indicated that the performance characteristics of InGaN quantum well VCSEL were improved by the ternary [Formula: see text] EBL. Better performance was also obtained when [Formula: see text] EBL was replaced by a polarization-matched [Formula: see text] EBL having the same energy bandgap. The quaternary EBL enhances the output power and differential quantum efficiency (DQE) as well as reduces the threshold current compared with the ternary EBL. Enhancement in the value of the optical intensity was also observed in the VCSEL structure with quaternary EBL. Furthermore, the effect of Al composition of AlInGaN EBL on the performance of InGaN-based VCSEL structure that uses the quaternary AlInGaN EBL was studied. In mole fraction was 0.115, Al mole fraction changed from 0.260 to 0.290 by step 0.005, and optimum performance was achieved in 0.275 Al mole fraction of AlInGaN EBL.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to identify, design and apply a method for operational production planning. The purpose of the method is that it takes into account the respective demand patterns of the articles, which determines the choice of calculation model and that the method also takes into account the production capacity limitation set. The result can be applied as a basis for decision-making for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies that are facing an expansion. Objective: The following research question was the main objective of this study.How would an appropriate operational planning method be shaped according to the specific characteristics of the products and their diverse demand patterns in small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with capacity limiters? Method: The study is a qualitative one-case study with quantitative elements. The empirical data used in the study was collected through unstructured and semi-structured interviews where the snowball effect has been applied and also observations have been performed. Results: The study has enabled a higher degree of utilization of the capacity limitation set, by developing standardized block sizes. The first step was to identify demand patterns into which the studied articles could be categorized. The demand pattern was applied in order to be able to apply the correct calculation model to the correct article. The calculation model was then standardized by applying PoT to be able to obtain standardized block sizes. The method was illustrated in a Gantt chart to demonstrate its usefulness.
Syfte: Studiens syfte är att identifiera, utforma och applicera en metod för operativ produktionsplanering. Ändamålet med metoden är att den tar hänsyn till artiklarnas respektive efterfrågemönster vilket avgör valet av beräkningsmodell samt att metoden tar även hänsyn till produktionens kapacitetsbegränsning ställare. Resultatet kan appliceras som beslutsunderlag för små samt medelstora tillverkande företag som står inför en expansion. Forskningsfråga: Följande forskningsfråga var objektet för denna studie. Hur skulle en lämplig operativ planering formas utefter artiklarnas specifika egenskaper och deras olikartade efterfrågemönster hos små och medelstora tillverkande företag med kapacitetsbegränsningen ställare? Metod: Studien är en kvalitativ en-fallstudie med kvantitativa inslag. Den empiriska data som använts i studie än insamlad genom ostrukturerade samt semistrukturerade intervjuer där snöbollseffekten tillämpats och även observationer har utförts. Resultat: Studien har möjliggjort en högre utnyttjandegrad av kapacitetsbegränsningen ställare, genom att framta standardiserade blockstorlekar. Första steget var att identifiera efterfrågemönster som de studerade artiklarna kunnat kategoriseras in i. Efterfrågemönstret har tillämpats för att kunna använda rätt beräkningsmodell på rätt artikel. Beräkningsmodellen standardiserades därefter genom tillämpning av PoT för att kunna erhålla standardiserade blockstorlekar. Metoden illustrerades i ett Gantt-schema för att påvisa dess användbarhet.

För att öka lönsamheten hos ett tillverkande företag är det viktigt att ha optimala tillverkningskvantiteter så att resurserna utnyttjas optimalt. Hur ett tillverkande företag utnyttjar produktionen påverkar effektiviteten i produktionssystemet, lagret och hos personalen. Syftet med denna studie är att hitta en metod för att optimera tillverkningskvantiteter så att kostnaden per produkt blir så låg som möjligt. I denna studie har vi använt oss av företagets distributör i Indien som ett exempel för hur en manuell produktion ser ut i dagslägen och jämför hur kostnaderna skulle se ut om denna produktion skulle ske maskinellt. Arbetet är en fallstudie där tillverkningskvantiteter analyseras. Både kvalitativ och kvantitativ forskning har bedrivits för att få en djupare förståelse av problemet. I arbetet ingår bland annat teorier som rör lager, partiformning och kostnader som rör tillverkning och orderhantering. Ett antal observationer och intervjuer har utförts för att för att få en djupare inblick i tillverkning och hantering av produkter hos företag. Empirisk data som nämns är beskrivningar av företagets produktionssystem och lager. Denna studie resulterar i att ”företag” bör använda partiformningsmetoden "Ekonomisk orderkvantitet" för optimering av tillverkningskvantiteter. Metoden går ut på att balansera ordersärkostnader och lagerhållningskostnader. Är dessa kostnader likvärdiga uppnås den mest kostnadseffektiva tillverkningskvantiteten. Studien har resulterat i en lathund där den mest optimala tillverkningskvantiteten presenteras beroende på produktefterfrågan per år. En analys av distributören Indiens order resulterar i att ”företag” bör producera ordrar likt Indiens beställningar maskinellt istället för omarbetning manuellt vilket sker i dagsläget. Redan vid en tillverkningskvantitet på 120 produkter är maskinell bearbetning mest kostnadseffektivt jämfört med en manuell ombearbetning.

The exponential growth in medical pharmaceuticals and related clinical trials have created a need to better understand the decision-making factors in the processes for developing hospital medication formularies. The purpose of the study was to identify, rank, and compare major factors impacting hospital formulary decision-making among three prescriber groups serving on a hospital's pharmacy and therapeutics (P&T) committee. Prescribers were selected from the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center which is a large, multi-facility, academic oncology hospital. Specifically, the prescriber groups studied were comprised of physicians, midlevel providers, and pharmacists. A self-administered online survey was disseminated to participants. Seven major hospital formulary decision-making factors were identified in the scientific literature. Study participants were asked to respond to questions about each of the hospital formulary decision-making factors and to rank the various formulary decision-making factors from the factor deemed most important to the factor deemed least important. There are five major conclusions drawn from the study including three similarities and two significant differences among the prescriber groups and factors. Similarities include: (1) the factor "pharmacy staff's evaluation of medical evidence including formulary recommendations" was ranked highest for all three prescriber groups; (2) "evaluation of medications by expert physicians" was ranked second for physicians and midlevel providers while pharmacists ranked it third; and (3) the factor, "financial impact of the treatment to the patient" was fifth in terms of hospital formulary decision-making statement and ranking by all three prescriber groups. Two significant differences include: (1) for the hospital-formulary decision making statement, "I consider the number of patients affected by adding, removing, or modifying a drug on the formulary when making hospital medication formulary decisions," midlevel providers considered this factor of significantly greater importance than did physicians; and (2) for the ranked hospital formulary decision-making factor, "financial impact of treatment to the institution," pharmacists ranked this factor significantly higher than did physicians. This study contributes to a greater understanding of the three prescriber groups serving on a P&T committee. Also, the study contributes to the body of literature regarding decision-making processes in medicine and specifically factors impacting hospital formulary decision-making. Furthermore, this study has the potential to impact the operational guidelines for the P&T committee at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center as well as other hospitals.

Numerous items, small order, and frequent delivery are the characteristic of small and medium sized urban distribution centers. Such characteristics generally increase the operating costs of the distribution center. To remedy this problem, this study suggests differentiate the service levels of different products according to the importance of the customer to reduce the inventory costs.   This study employs the Entry-Item-Quantity (EIQ) method, which was proposed by Suzuki. Sin, to identify the characteristic of a distribution center, and further analyzes the importance degree of customers and the frequently ordered products. By differentiating customer values and product values, different service levels are applied to different products based on their importance degrees. Differential (s, S) inventory policies are then formulated accordingly. With such differential inventory policies, we expect to reduce the inventory costs of the distribution center. The proposed approach is illustrated by a case study.

In estuary and coastal areas the storm surge will usually occur in typhoon season. When simulating the storm surge by numerical model, the wind speed at the height of 10m above the mean sea level will be usually used. Determining the wind drag stress on free surface reasonably plays an important role to simulate the storm surge accurately. In the past numerical models, the wind drag stress on free surface was calculated only considering the relative wind speed. There are many formulas about wind stress can be used, whereas these formulas are usually got in laboratory, where the water surface fluctuates in a small range, and the water elevation itself has not been considered in formula. Actually in some place, the astronomical tidal range is large, such as Yangtze estuary and Hangzhou bay in China, and during typhoon season, the water fluctuation range is much larger than ever there. In conventional method the wind stress will be underestimate in flood tide and be over-valuated in ebb tide without considering the fluctuation of water, so it is obviously unsuitable to take no account of the influence of tidal level on wind stress. Therefore in the intensive tide coastal area, the relationship of the relative wind speed, tidal level should be considered together. A new kind of wind stress formula has been established in this paper and been adopted in simulating the storm surge of typhoon Winnie in Yangtze estuary, and the results are better and satisfying.

Abstract This paper proposes a new analytical derivation to incorporate bending and torsion into collapse calculation, further pushing the already existing approach of combined loading equivalent grade proposed in API TR 5C3 (2019) Clause 8.4.6 Eq. (42) for axial stress and internal pressure (identical to ISO TR 10400 Clause 8.4.7) used to calculate a differential collapse pressure. This new derivation is also based on Hencky-von Mises maximum distortion criterion. The interest of developing such combined loading equivalent grade is to enable the use of the four collapse types described in Clause 8 i.e., Yield Strength, Plastic, Transition and Elastic. The formulae are adapted to a closed-form equation similar to current Eq. (42), enabling pipe collapse performance calculation. Newly derived formulae are checked against a size governed by yield strength collapse to verify consistency. The restrictions regarding collapse performance under compression are discussed.

Many scholars at home and abroad have studied tidal velocity profile in estuarine and coastal waters. The results show that velocity profile of tidal current often deviated obviously from the traditional logarithmic profile, due to the flow including wind-driven current, wave-driven current, salinity and so on. In estuarine waters, runoff should be included as a component. In this paper, two patters of vertical velocity profile of tidal current are firstly divided, that are monotone increasing I-velocity profile (during flood tide and ebb tide stage) and non-monotone increasing II -velocity profile (during slack tide stage). Then, by use of variable fractal dimension to obtain the law of II-velocity profile, the results show that: (1)The II -velocity vertical profile does express a first-order accumulated variable-dimensional fractal phenomenon. (2) Through of the fractal dimension, the various formula fitting II-velocity profile were compared, and the results showed that, in practical applications of engineering, cubic function formula is the best fit as the measured data have been verified. Finally, the cubic function formula is applied to flow separation of II -velocity measured in Yangtze River. By the easily separation of the measured flow, we can not only get a reasonable surface flow velocity, such as wind-driven current, runoff, salinity, as well as their driving force weight in the hydrodynamic of estuarine and coastal waters, but also gain the data of bed roughness length and sea surface wind speed, providing reasonable border conditions of the seabed and sea surface for the hydrodynamic numerical simulation in estuarine and coastal waters.

Smart grids are contributing to the demand-side management by integrating electronic equipment, distributed energy generation and storage and advanced meters and controllers. With the increasing adoption of electric vehicles and distributed energy generation and storage systems, residential energy management is drawing more and more attention, which is regarded as being critical to demand-supply balancing and peak load reduction. In this paper, we focus on a microgrid scenario in which modern homes interact together under a large-scale setting to better optimize their electricity cost. We first make households form a group with an economic stimulus. Then we formulate the energy expense optimization problem of the household community as a multi-agent coordination problem and present an Entropy-Based Collective Multiagent Deep Reinforcement Learning (EB-C-MADRL) framework to address it. Experiments with various real-world data demonstrate that EB-C-MADRL can reduce both the long-term group power consumption cost and daily peak demand effectively compared with existing approaches.

It is generally recognized by FRA, AREMA, Amtrak, OSHA, and many other applicable authorities that the maximum acceptable rate of radial acceleration for passengers comfort is 0.1g, where ‘g’ is 9.81 m/s/s [1]. Jerk is limited to 0.03g/s [1]. Roll is limited to 1 deg/sec. In this paper all values computed with the aforesaid standard values are referred to as the maximum desirable values as these may be exceeded if needed. Currently there is no procedure in the literature to compute the maximum desirable values. From these comfort criteria the formulae for superelevation run off, rate of change of curvature, radius, and spiral angle etc. are derived. Applications of these formulae and further potential applications thereof are presented. This study is intended for conventional non-tilting train. The equilibrium (Eq), actual (Ea), and unbalance superelevation (Eu) run-off are calculated to be 45 mm/sec, 26 mm/sec and 19 mm/sec respectively. From the run-off rates, the maximum desirable actual and unbalance superlevation comes out to be 87 mm and 63 mm respectively. The desirable ratio between unbalance and actual super-elevation comes to be 0.72. This helps in proportioning equilibrium superelevation to ensure comfort. Equations of spiral length are derived by proportioning 3.33 sec’s ride with the maximum desirable values of superelevation and these equations are found to be exactly the same as those derived another way in the paper no. JRC 2010-36050.

Advanced small modular reactors (AdvSMRs) will use advanced digital instrumentation and control systems, and make greater use of automation. These advances not only pose technical and operational challenges, but will inevitably have an effect on the operating and maintenance cost of new plants. However, there is much uncertainty about the impact of AdvSMR designs on operational and human factors considerations, such as workload, situation awareness, human reliability, staffing levels, and the appropriate allocation of functions between the crew and various automated plant systems. Existing human factors and systems engineering design standards and methodologies are not current in terms of human interaction requirements for dynamic automated systems and are no longer suitable for the analysis of evolving operational concepts. New models and guidance for operational concepts for complex socio-technical systems need to adopt a state-of-the-art approach such as Cognitive Systems Engineering (CSE) that gives due consideration to the role of personnel. The approach described here helps to identify and evaluate human challenges related to non-traditional operational concepts. A framework for defining operational strategies was developed based on an analysis of the Experimental Breeder Reactor-II (EBR-II), a small (20MWe) sodium-cooled reactor that was successfully operated for thirty years. Insights from the application of the systematic application of the methodology and its utility are reviewed and arguments for the formal adoption of CSE as a value-added part of the Systems Engineering process are presented.
