The flavoenzyme L-aspartate oxidase from Escherichia coli was crystallized using the hanging-drop vapour-diffusion technique with PEG 4000 as precipitant. The crystals belong to space group P3121 (or P3221) with unit-cell parameters a = b = 84.9, c = 159.9 Å. A solvent content of 42% corresponds to a monomer (60 kDa) in the asymmetric unit. A complete 2.8 Å resolution data set was collected using a rotating-anode X-ray generator.

A retrospective study of 9,335 cases of human leptospirosis in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, diagnosed between 1969 and 1997 showed that the disease is endemic throughout the state. Middle-aged adults, with a range of 20-39 years, were most frequently infected (32.40%). The mean annual incidence was 0.53 per 100,000 population and the disease was more frequent in males (87.0%). Cases occurred mainly in January to April each year. A peak was observed in 1991 and 1996 which rainfall average was 159.9 and 160.3, respectively. We designed and synthesized two new ionic thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) emitters that are charged analogues of a known multiresonant TADF (MR-TADF) compound, DiKTa. The emission of the charged derivatives is red-shifted compared to the parent compound. For instance, DiKTa-OBuIm emits in the green (λPL = 499 nm, 1 wt % in mCP) while DiKTa-DPA-OBuIm emits in the red (λPL = 577 nm, 1 wt % in mCP). Some fossil plants, previously identified as angiosperm species, have been reported from the “Jiulongshan”/Haifanggou Formation at the Sanjiaochengzi fossil locality in Huludao City, western Liaoning, Northeast China. Three types of water (a, b and c) were found. Disparities between fold amplitude (A) and intrusion thickness (Hsill) are critical in identifying elastic or inelastic deformation in a forced fold. However, accurate measurements of these two parameters are challenging because of the limit in separability and detectability of the seismic data. We combined wireline data and 3-D seismic data from the TZ-47 exploring area in the Tarim Basin, Northwest China, to accurately constrain the fold amplitude and total thickness of sills that induced roof uplift in the terrain. Results from the measurement show that the forced fold amplitude is 155.0 m.

Abstract We report here the evaluation of the Abbott TDx assay with a monoclonal antibody for selectively quantifying cyclosporine (CsA) in whole blood.
