Abstract:
The carnivorous sponge Asbestopluma hypogea, was known only from shallow submarine caves (-15 to -26 m) in the Western Mediterranean Sea and the Adriatic. Herein A. hypogea is reported from outside of caves, on seamounts in the Alboran Sea (-167 m), off the Balearics (-100 m) and north off Sicily (-660 m), and along steep bathyal escarpments in the Strait of Sicily (~700 m). These deeper ROV-based findings of A. hypogea are conform to the typical deep-sea occurrence of the Cladorhizidae.

AbstractThis study aims to determine the chronological sequence of the collective burials in the hypogea of the prehistoric cemetery of La Beleña (Cabra, Córdoba) through Bayesian analyses of 14C dates obtained from human remains. The data from this site are not only key to grasping the phenomenon of the introduction and spread of hypogea throughout the western Mediterranean, but to gain insight into multi-stage funerary practices during the Late Neolithic/Chalcolithic. The dataset comprises 14C dates of 71 of the 79 individuals placed in five of La Beleña’s six hypogea. The findings suggest:

Consolidation of mural paintings in hypogea is challenging because of their severe microclimatic conditions, characterized by high humidity levels, low air circulation, the presence of salts efflorescence, and the detrimental growth of biodeteriogen agents. Traditional consolidant products show significant drawbacks when used in hypogeum. Organic compounds, such as acrylic emulsions, are bio-receptive and some inorganic consolidants, such as silica-based products, show a lack of compatibility with the original substrate, which could lead to a reduction in permeability and an increase in the me

Th e archaeologists set its construction and usage between the Roman and Byzantine period, starting with the 4th century. The hypogeum in Constanţa preserves its original mural painting almost entirely. In addition, severe climatic conditions can lead to a fast degradation of retouching materials. Abstract:
Continuous and precise monitoring in the intensive care unit (ICU) are essential, particularly for patients with respiratory disorders necessitating mechanical ventilation, as they represent a critical cohort. Hypoxia can be defined as a medical condition characterized by an inadequate supply of oxygen to bodily tissues and organs, leading to an inability to meet their metabolic needs. This condition can manifest in diverse scenarios, such as high-altitude environments for example mountain climbing or in high-altitude flights. Common symptoms of hypoxia include breathing difficulties, confusio

Abstract:
In the present study the features of progression of Lewis lung carcinoma in animals with low and high hypoxia resistance were characterized using morphological and molecular-biological methods. A more pronounced pro-inflammatory phenotype was identified in low resistant to hypoxia animals, a higher mitotic index of primary tumors was found in high resistant to hypoxia animals. There were no differences in metastasis between two groups.
