According to estimates, neurodiversity, understood as a natural phenomenon characterized by diversity in human cognition, affects about 15–20% of people. Despite this, considerably less attention is paid to this form of diversity compared to others, such as gender, age, or religion. Consequently, a relatively small number of organizations are open to the inclusion of neurodiversity and the use of its benefits. This makes the support of the employment of neurodivergent individuals significant both socially and economically. Therefore, the presented study aims to explore whether legal regulations

Abstract:
The Covid-19 crisis in the world, which began in 2020 and influenced greatly all the fields of life, made problems existing at the labor market even more acute. Due to the crisis, both the labor and the academic world had to adjust quickly to transition from working within an organization (like academic institution etc.) to working distantly, usually from home. The rapid pace of change in modern life has made it difficult for traditional education systems to adequately prepare professionals for their careers without leaving gaps in crucial skills. This is especially true for educators, where k

Abstract:
This brief outlines findings on how the 54.6 km South Commuter Railway (SCR) to be built between Metro Manila and Laguna province in the Philippines is expected to improve access to jobs. A quantitative analysis estimates that residents of cities and municipalities with an SCR station will be able to reach an average of 300,000 extra jobs within a 1-hour commute—an increase of 15.3% in the south and 8.5% in Metro Manila. This could lead to better labor market matching, higher income for workers and more job opportunities for low-income households. The study contributes to efforts to quantify t

This paper examines the labor market impact of an amnesty program in the Dominican Republic, that grants Venezuelan refugees and migrants an ID card that allows them to work legally. To identify the effect, we compare the outcomes of those who received and did not receive ID cards before and after they were issued, leveraging the unexpected timing of their distribution. Our findings reveal negligible effects on the extensive margin, but indicate positive effects on the quality of employment, particularly in the likelihood of having a written contract and working in the formal sector. We study how the presence of promotion competition in the labor market affects household specialization patterns. By embedding a promotion tournament model in a household setting, we show that specialization can emerge as a consequence of competitive work incentives. This specialization outcome, in which only one spouse invests heavily in his or her career, can be welfare superior to a situation in which both spouses invest equally in their careers. The reason is that household specialization reduces the intensity of competitionand provides households with consumption smoothing. The specializa
