Abstract:
Representatives of the genus Opuntia are widely used in the food industry and traditional medicine and are notable for their high adaptability to adverse environmental conditions. The antioxidant status of 6 representatives of the genus Opuntia naturalized in the territory of the Crimean Peninsula was evaluated for the first time. A relationship between the components of total antioxidant activity, the content of polyphenols, proline, monosaccharides and selenium was shown. The correlation between these indicators and accumulation of malonic dialdehyde was established.

Applied two preparations of alginite formed from natural bituminous rock alginite in 4 different variants into the soil (granular forms) and spraying on leaves (extracts) in 2 cultivars of Solanum lycoper-sicum L. resulted in reduced production traits on plants and fruits, increased or decreased accumulation of macro and microelements content in plants and fruits and by increasing the antioxidant activity of the fruits compared to the control variant without alginite.

This research investigated the influence of propagation methods and harvesting time on the fruit quality of two raspberry cultivars, ‘Meeker’ and ‘Willamette’. The plants were propagated through tissue cultre and root suckering, and the fruits were picked during three harvest in 2020.
